Braves send: C Jon Lucroy 3.5M (14) Dbacks send: SP Dan Straily 400K (16-17T) Lance McCullers B+pitching prospect. #4 catcher on player rater last year and preseason #5 this year LuCroy is a piece I could have kept but I have D'Arnaud for the future and acquiring 2 pitchers I like appeals to me. Straily is struggling but I have faith in his future. Edited by Red Sox GM, May 15 2014, 07:11 AM.

I accept Braves has faith in Straily, I don't. My top 6 prospects are pitchers, so losing McCullers isn't too big of a hit to the farm. My team is built for now and the combination of Doumit/Buck wont cut it. Edited by DBacks_GM, Apr 26 2014, 11:16 PM.

I like one side way better than the other, but it's fair. 1-0 |

2-0 I love Straily, but the fact is this will be his sophomore slump year. He's already allowed 7 home runs...7! That's ludicrous. His control is all over the place, and while he keeps K-ing people his value is shaking. I still love him though, I'd never trade him off because I think the A's have a pitching staff that will settle him down but it will just be a while. McCullers will be a better pitcher than his dad, he's got a long ways to go to prove himself though. I thought a B+ was a little bit generous. |
