Made Permanent Closer 6/15 Joe Smith Temp Removed as Closer Romo Removed as Closer Belisario Removed as Closer Balfour Removed as Closer Grilli Temp Reinstated as Closer Rondon Removed as Closer Frieri Removed as Closer
**Perkins Might Lose** **Nathan Might Lose** | 8th Overall in K/9 12.85 | | T 3rd Overall in Blown Saves 1 | T 3rd Overall in Wins 1 | At time of switch, was T 2nd Overall in Holds 8 | Given that he became the permanent closer less than a month ago, his stats would be even higher if you calculate in the brevity of time. One of the best closers in baseball, is rated currently 7th overall as best options for saves despite not having a ton of them. Calculate in the sabermetrics and it shows him in an even better light.
Read any ESPN article on him, there are more than 20 readily available by the guru's like Passan etc... that hail him as a top 5-10 option. But their opinions must be wrong... |
