MLB and MiLB draft. When you make an MLB pick you will post the contract of the player. IF they fall under the rookie scale that should be listed. For example: Andrew McCutchen would be 400K (12-13T@3.5M) because he falls under the rookie rule with one year left at 400K and the 3.5M option year. Adam Dunn 1b-of 4 years/$56M (2011-14) So he would be picked as: Adam Dunn 14M (14) MiLB draft will be inverted order of the MLB draft. I will use a randomizing site for the order to insure legitimacy. |

There were 16 items in your list. Here they are in random order: 1.Giants 2.Cubs 3.Yankees 4.Rangers 5.Reds 6.Orioles 7.Phillies 8.Tigers 9.Blue Jays 10.Mariners 11.DBacks 12.Rays 13.Cards 14.Mets 15.Royals 16.Braves Timestamp: 2012-02-12 04:17:42 UTC I'm going to be 100% upfront with everyone, it put me first on the list, so I switched me to last so people wouldn't think I rigged it. Giants was last and I was first. I could care less where I pick so I switched us to avoid any questions about it. |

Also, in order for our drafts to work I propose we just do the drafts straight up and save trading until they are over. If we don't some people are going to end up with jacked up rosters, and everyone should be looking to compete this year as well as the future so no need for a team to unload all their minor league picks or vice versa. I want this league to succeed so I'm hoping if everyone makes all their picks they will have a good foundation for a team before trading. |

Will their contracts be posted in the available players list or will we have to know them? |

You get them from Cots Baseball Contracts. If you think they have been in the league for less than 5 years you need to look that info up on their player card on ESPN. Remember their first "year" starts whenever they eclisped their 130th AB or 50th IP. So if a pitcher pitched 47 innings in 2010, and then 4 in 2011, his first year started in 2011. |

No trading Picks? I think maybe we should set a date or something where trading should stop so we can get the draft done. Thoughts? |

This is a lot different than the other way we have done it. I've been thinking on how it will work. I believe we will need to make all of our picks in order to ensure roster security. We draft 20 Major leaguers, thne get the rest through free agency, we draft 20-25 minor leaguers and that will be our entire farm system until we do another draft next year. I'm also thinking, to make this work, since we are starting our minor league system from complete scratch, that you must keep a certain number this year, escalating next year. For example, if we do 25 minor league picks, then we must keep at least 20 on our "minors" roster for the season, so you have 5 to work with, and with trading you can always take back lower prospects to keep that number. THen for the 2013 season, after we do another minor league draft, we can have that number bumped to 30 or 35. I want to make sure everyone has a minor league system, doesn't empty it out completely because if we have to have a replacement owner that could cause a mess. Anyway, as far as trading picks, I wouldn't mind PREDRAFT trading positions, like team A trades the 10th slot in the draft (for the entire draft) to Team B in the 6th slot because they both like the other position better. That kind of thing. |

I agree with the No Trades for the MLB team draft. You can trade whomever you want once the draft is over. Keep in mind this is coming from someone who is a trade happy kinda guy. |

Yea only because I prefer to trade 1st overall pick. Not a great spot. But I like all the other ideas |
