I need to make a new avatar....
This is something i've had bouncing around my head ever sence I joined the Seven Mercinaries. Where did your most widely-used 'persona' spawn from? Hell, i can fully admit Magnus was nothing more then an fake name i used on Neopets back when i signed up for that site in April 2002. Two years later, Magnus had evolved into a dragon/human hybrid. Around that time Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando came out. I'd already played the first R&C game on christmas of 2003, and rented Going Commando sometime durring my second semester of 8th grade. THIS is the oldest drawing of Magnus i could find. It's from my 8th grade art sketch book, and yes, Magnus is hauling Frankenstien's Monster around.

Around the end of that year, i joined a Web forum called The Noob Patrol, a Role Playing forum based in the Ratchet & Clank universe. He evolved more there until an incident with me and the Head Admin, then he was in the back of my mind until November 2005. I had joined a rival RP forum of the Noob Patrol's called The Academy. Durring a 'Mission' Magnus made a maraculous comeback after being replaced by a very Megaman-esque character i'd named DarkBass, who is now no-exsistant. Sence then, Magnus has continued to change in appearance, abililties, and how old his is. Hell, not too long into the summer before 10th grade, Magnus' last name was changed from Dragon to Riujin. Magnus has gone from just a name to being my oldest and favorite character i've ever created. Here is the newest drawing of Magnus that I drew, inked, AND colored LAST NIGHT. It's a big departure from where he began, isn't it?

Alice Vulcan
Dark Soul
Vulcan is a name I picked out from Roman mythology, referring to the god of fire and metalworking, because I like to burn shit. Of course, I would have gladly chosen the Greek version, but Hephaestus was harder to spell. I then converted that into the humble username MetalVulcan000, which, by the possible side effects of what were my current meds, made me pronounce the damn thing "Metal Vulcan Zero-Hundred"

Everybody picked up on the Vulcan part. Odd, because though that was what I wanted, I was expecting Metal to catch on. Heh, funny how that happens. Anyway, that's where my handle started. Nowadays, I only set up the full username whenever I'm outside the Megaman Community. The simplified version has really just become synonymous with my presence... that, and nobody else uses it. Yay for the mindless Zero-drones leaving it wide open.

Oh, and because I wanna talk about it, there is also my alternate handle, Major Starman. I wanna talk about that one. That one came shortly after I joined the MM5 team during its "rebirth" as Starman, when Rich was writing Revenge of the Scissor Army. There was a character based on my interpretation of the character, so I began using that title on and off in the Team Community... and eventually as my AIM screen, once the old one went and started scraping a spoon around in its ass.

Anyway, a while into the team's lifespan I decided out on a whim to give my character a full name. This would end up being Jack Vulcan. (Aha, now we're getting to the part about my namesake! Finally!)

Early on, I described the character as being tall and handsome. Oh god, and even further back, during the prototype stages, I would refer to him as being something of a bishie. Ugh. Well, regardless, he would have long blond hair and was habitually lecherous. Despite his quirks, he would prove to be a good warrior on the battlefield, and blah blah. You know, all of that cookie cutter material. Thank god for behind-the-scenes character development.

So, the further I got into my tenure, the more I explored the character. He's gone through a million backstory revisions by now, and I'm still not entirely sure on what the details are, but I've been sticking to a basic outline that is both simplistic and satisfying. For that reason, I'll never really showcase his past in more than a series of vague recollections.

Of course, along with backstory changes came a change of personality.

Jack is now a very serious character. While he maintains his lecherous attitude, it's nowhere near as overdone and gimmicky. His hair is now red, his eyes blue. He now has an abundance of facial stubble and always appears tired, possibly driven purely by caffeine. The length of his hair now changes from time to time. His dream is to change the world, therein having a goal and a purpose to his near-immortal existence as a machine.

Of very interesting notation is that I give very subtle hints at Jack having Asperger's Syndrome. I always make an attempt to reflect this in his high IQ and quirky behavior. In fact, when I do first person narratives with the character, I tend to display trivial monologue on how things like the way food on a plate is arranged.

Anyhow, that's enough rambling from me. All in all, I think I've developed a well-rounded character over the years. Thankfully, I'll be able to show people just what a good a job I think I've done. Haha...

Amethyst Nighthut
Nebuala Agent
Well lets see here... Void Darkheart was just an internet alias and I have no clue WHERE I came up with the name. He was me pure and simple.

Now Amethyst Nighthut... THERE'S a story. I created him back in February of 2001. I remember because he was created to be a part of an FF IX RP back on Yahoo, and this was just after I had got the game for Christmas, which was the year I went up to Oklahoma to visit family and an Ice Storm blew threw... but that's a whole other story all together.

Anyway, yes he was a fan character created for FF IX, originally a Mage similar to Vivi. I can just see the comments now... but anyway, I really liked gems and figured I'd name him after one, kind of like Garnet was named after one (Yes... I was -SO- influenced by the game) and after a bit of thought, settled on Amethyst. As for Nighthut... it was night time, and there was a discarded and empty Pizza Hut box near the computer.

But he started off as a mage similar to Vivi, as I said, and he went on to have only one adventure in the world, where he met up with a girl (who's player was female and I eventually dated for a while, but another story there) and between the two of them, ended up going off on a whole other adventure that strayed HEAVILY away from the source material.

Over the years he's gone from just a basic Mage to a Sword Mage and most recently has been shifted to become my own type of Dragoon that I had been working on. I haven't really used him in RPs as of late, but his name has pretty much become my new ID online and all.

HUZZAH!
Starting along the lines of 2003, I joined the mechanical maniacs forums. This was around the end of season 4, just when Gauntlet had posted his new "Megaman is not X'' Epilouge. Good times.
I joined under the I.D. Of Alucard.EXE, Becuase I was, and still am, a huge castlevania fan, and I wanted to RP as alucard in a computer... So glad I got origonal. I was un-experienced in the ways of the forum, as I had just started on the internet without parental controlls. (Was fourteen.) And this was along the lines that the S6 was still going strong.
I clicked on the Bobandgeorge link, got addicted, joined their forums, they were dicks and I lost my ability to make threads, all 3 were about castlevania... Give me a break, I grew up slowly.
Eventually, I learned grammer.
To an extent, that is.
Looked like this, wiht only a few mispelled words.

However , wtas better thna this, not lyings at all.
haha

(( PROOF I WAS THERE.
The old cursor was a Kunai, people from the Megaman 6 team at the time rejoined illiterate and stupid. all were banned except for starman, who left because he realized he was pissing people off and he didn't want to. Some RP topics from that time.
The great train trip.
Prank war.

I learned even MORE Grammer, similar to this.
Still not the best, bujt hey, it 'twas better than nothing.
Least it was no longer much of an eye-sore.

Then I started to sprite comics. Ages of darkness was supposed to be a castlevania and megaman cross-over comic. It was going good, I downloaded Pixia, and started to learn how to make special effects.
I was kicking ass! And then my BIOS cracked.

Jump to 2005.
I attempt to rejoin, but I forget it's there, becuase they moved in 2 weeks to the MMC boards. A. I find GAIA online, and I learn true grammer, and the "Ultimate" Rp style. I attempt to get on at the MMC boards again, this time under the guise of Mahajarah, still lying down character Idea. Rai and gauntlet try to talk me out of it, I argue, Rai questions me again, I get annoyed, and I forget about the forums.

Jump to 2006.
I decide to rejoin the community, shortly there-after of their move and I actively post. All the time. By the time the forum sliced, I was almost the top poster.
And here I am. I'm a veretan forum monger, but I really don't throw it around. I'm also the top poster here, but like that really means anything other than I'm the one with the most spare time and the least amount of life.

Phew, that took a lot of time.

EDIT: No longer the first, I am second, with magnent man being the first.

Don't be jealous of the post count itself- be jealous of the post content.

As for me, I really didn't use the internet very much growing up, and was pretty isolated from it, despite having it. For the longest time, I used it as a simple reasearch tool and not a source of entertainment. I mean, at the time I was engaged, had a pretty cool job, some good friends, and a decent amount of money- y'know, stuff that makes you stay away from the net. I think it was called...a life? Can't remember.

So, anyway, life goes down the tubes one year and a seek solace in a few of my old childhood memories. Rockman was my absolute favorite video game character growing up, and I had been following the S6 for a few years on and off, so eventually I stumbled across Dr Cossack's forum in July 2004. In the same week, I signed up on the MM3 Proboards forum. I felt a little intimidated by the Cossack board's faster pace and larger member count (as well as the overall lack of grammar- I was an English major at the time), so I wound up spending more time with the Mechs.

I chose the Cutman.Exe name simply because I had a small fanartist page on Freewebs. The site eventually moved to the Island Attacker's Tripod site, though my reasoning as to why I didn't sign up for my own Tripod instead of hogging up the CIA's space eludes me. Around that time I dropped the "exe" from my name, going by the simple name of Cutman. I think I fit in fairly well, though I soon became way too defensive of the forum and started going on my own forum patrol, much to Gauntlet's chagrin.

In mid-2005, my fanartist site was starting to go by the name "Kattoman Rikogun"- The Cutman Army. I had a formidable staff at the time, and a fairly successful, if not short lived forum. However, it wasn't until a certain story came about that things really began to heat up.

I wrote Orange Hell, inspired by Ben's recent Another Universe S6 storyline. It was written on a whim, basically; an attempt to try and initigrate my own Cutman character into the works. The character gradually evolved from a somewhat comical General Cutman featured on the Cutman Army website, to the utterly evil, sadistic General found in OH. The latter stuck with people.

The Cutman Army shut down while I began writing more AU stories. Eventually, I unvieled Revenge of the Scissor Army on July 18th, 2005, which was a massive endevour that would have featured every Classic team in a story that would ahve spanned over 50 chapters in length and would have taken a year to tell. During thsi time I was also appointed the new Bombman of the S6, but my focus was still largely on the General Cutman persona.

My own machinations proved to be my downfall in January 06, having seperated myself from the Mechs forum in what I now recognize as a childish fit that was fueled by my own stubborness. RotSA stopped publication halfway through, and I severed ties with the community for several months while I pulled my personal life back together and got my mind in better working order.

I eventually retured in late summer with a new S6 storyline called Re-Engineered. Gradually, I got back into the swing of things while again stirring up trouble- this time within the MMC, specifically the admin there, his name witheld. Ahem. Unfortunately, Gary's passing in September feuled the now-infamous chain of events that led to the S6 calling it quits, but not before moving onto its own server, where it current resides. In the final S6 epilogue, the General Cutman character is used a final time in a grand plot to end the S6, but is finally killed by my other persona, Bombman. Bombman would be back, but it's the last we see of the General.

S6:RE also seemed to fade with Gary, and I was just kinda here killing time. Lo and behold, the Magnetman position opens, and I'm invited to take it. Strangely enough, this inspires me to get into my Bombman character like I never had before with Kin and Tonic, which was a vehicle used to introduce my new Magnetman persona, which is what I still use to this day. Bombman was recently ended, leaving me to a single persona for the first time in a long time.

While I used a few miscellaneous names every now and then, my three main MMC personas have been General Cutman, Rich "Bombman" Kassidy, and Magnetman Eigen. Each one has bits of my personality integrated into them; General Cutman possessed my dim views on humanity coupled with a genuine mean streak, as well as my large IQ (not going to be some smug jerk about it- it's up there); Bombman represents my old addictions and a wild temper; and Kenta Eigen displays my cold, detached feelings for events surrounding me at times, while still possessing a repressed anger. My characters, as you can see, represent my darker aspects, since they're more interesting than the guy who donates to the Salvation Army regularly. The dark characters are also far more fun to write with.

As a forumer, I like to think I've grown up in a short amount of time. I no longer take things so seriously here, since doing so is just way too frustrating. I still find myself in conflicts every blue moon or so, but I never go out looking for them as I did not too long ago. I'd much rather be remembered as a guy with a creative mind put to good use, rather than some fascist ruler or bully. Maybe I stil come off that way to some people, but I believe I've made huge strides since mid-2004, when I hunted down every last typo or stupid thought. Writing has been my salvation.

Wow...wrote more than I intended. Now THAT never happens, right?

Mr. Prog cosplaying as Donatello
My character was created way back in 2004. I got the name Makenshi from the character from Final Fantasy Unlimited. At first I WAS Makenshi from FFU, but almost immediately I made him into my own character and had people call me Maks to deviate from Shiroi Kumo. But people still called me Makenshi, so it stuck on.

Makenshi translates to "Demon Swordsman," and originally I had my character wield a huge ass sword, have black hair in a fauxhawk, and don white armor. But I decided that he would be equipped with dual pistols and wear a long brown coat. The hairstyle is still the same though.

I've continuously worked on Makenshi's backstory and it has changed a lot from before to today. Just what his history is is yet to be revealed.

Shades of Truth
My name was actually created on a whim about 3-4 years ago. Some "friends" of mine had gotten me into a game called Counter-Strike, and I need an in game name. My mind drifted to these old comics I used to draw back in 5th grade, which was named Boltstrike. I decided that wasn't "menacing" enough for a game based on killing people, so I decided to modify it to shadowstrike. Yeah, It isn't the best, but it's made it's due, as it was the best I could think of the almost 3 years ago I joined this board, under it's Proboards version.

Lately I've been thinking about changing my name, as I really don't think this name suits me anymore.

My characters are really just 3 different aspects of myself. The WW me is my prankster side, while my C:IA is my questioning side. The DM me is one that doesn't come out much IRL, as it is my leading side. I'm more of a person to stand back and point out mistakes so everyone else can get a laugh.

That Hard Guy
9 years ago, a good friend of mine from High School (who I'd accidentally transformed into an Anime fanatic), told me about a chat room. Young and naieve as I was at the time, I figured, hey, what the hell, y'know? Up till then, my dealings with the Internet hadn't been dealings at all. I credit, god help me, a Sailor Moon based chat room with introducing me formally to the internet social scene.

I joined the room under the Hadrian Blues alias, on account of two things, both of which were Rockman related: The name Hadrian comes from a short story I read in a place I cannot remember by an Author I would credit if I could find the damn thing again that gave an account of Protoman passing himself off as human and saving a young girl in an alley from a few rapists by, well, being him. The second contributing factor was a fantastic picture someone (again, if I could remember who, I'd credit them) drew of Blues in civilian clothes, which I later discovered was based off one of his manga appearances.

I gotta admit, I was a much more avid roleplayed back in them days. I got involved in just about everything that caught my interest, and had a whole bunch of fun in that little chatroom. Yeah, most of the other people were DBZ or SM based, but I think it was through that oddball atmosphere that I gained my appreciation for weird humor and twisting a basic story as I am often wont to do.

8 years ago, I signed up with what could only loosely be called a Megaman Team, the X-Knights. I served in a largely ignored role (I wrote, like, one short story, two pages) as Gear, a Metalman prototype that had been destroyed by Protoman originally and stuffed into a warehouse. Now, really, the only reason I mention this particular instance is because one of the other members of the 'team' was Andrew Dickman, known better as Dark Napalm. Yeah, he was pretty creative THEN, too. As forgettable as the whole thing was, though, I find myself tracking down the old homepage every once in a while. I guess that makes me the Last X-Knight...

I went back to the chatroom of my 'birth,' this time adding the last name 'Howell' onto the end. The name itself comes from a book called Exodus Road, part of the Battletech universe, in which a warrior known as Trent (another alias I went by at one point, but for like a week) seeks to claim his honor from the jaws of political hounds who want to see him disgraced and stripped of his Bloodname, which was Howell. If anyone here understand any of that, THANK YOU.

I have to say that around this point, Hadrian took on a life of his own. I'd write some story involving him, and he'd eventually take over and do his own thing. Anyone who's ever had that happen knows what I'm talking about. While in reality, I'm a fairly passive aggressive person with insecurity issues (well, I HAD insecurity issues), Hadrian was always straightforward, ready to get the job done, and always willing to stand up for his beliefs and his friends.

I stumbled on the other Megaman teams... god, four or five years ago. I liked the epilogues and read just about everything I could dig up from the teams that existed at the time. I kept track of it for a while, and got to know some of the other people around the forums at the time through AIM. I wasn't much more than an occasional poster, but it was fun, all the same.

And then a funny thing happened. Two membership slots opened up on the Mechanical Maniacs. Magnetman and Snakeman. I applied for Magnetman, but in the interrim, Hardman, who was also Clownman at the time, also dropped out. Almost exclusively to make things easier for everyone, I took Hardman and gave up on the Magnetman position.

The rest, as they say, is history. Sorta.

I think I can say without being wrong I've taken to the role of Hardman more than any previous filler of the role. Hell, I even have an acrylic laser cut of the original Hardman 8-bit sprite on my keychain. In that time, I created Gag, a substantially less serious character than my at-the-time booze-filled Hardman, and kind of did my own thing while the team ran smoothly with the Maniacs Moments. Hell, I even recolored, then completely rebuilt the Maniacs sprites for those purposes, but have since lost my graphics editor of choice and haven't been able to make more.

I've had more than my share of epic story ideas that either went wrong, became uninteresting, or that I just forgot about. The original Megaman War, where Rock Volnutt is taken by the government and turned into the first successful subject of Dr. Light's 'System' and then stands up to Dr. Wily and his own twisted creations. Megaman: Dark Blue, a twisted AU scenario where Dr. Light is the villain and the blood flows freely. Rockman vs. Megaman, my only real EXE piece where Rockman.exe fights a crazy copy of himself that calls itself Megaman (which got a lot of laughs from the people over at Fanfiction.net, where it can still be found by the author Hardy-Har-Har). There've been lots of things I'd called failed projects, but hey, that's life, right?

And now you know... the REST of the story.

Raijin

After all this time, "Raijin" isn't much of a character. My first roleplay character invention was Fortissimo, whose story eventually got fleshed out some in the numerous short-lived Void of the Virus incarnations. My first team Viral Infection gave me Skullman.exe, and then Annihilation got me Drillman.exe, and MM3 got me Snakeman. Those were my faces, but the whole time I stuck with the Raijin name at the center of it all, without ever giving it much background besides "it's me", for all intents and purposes.

My approach to the community came about after my acquisition of MMX4. Before that I didn't keep up with gaming news as much as I could have, and it wasn't until I saw X4 in the store that I realized the series moved from Nintendo to Playstation. It came as a shocker to me, and since I was anxiously awaiting X4 for the SNES for quite some time, I didn't want to let the series sneak away from me like that again. I had to find out more. Solution: Internet. Reward: Information. Unexpected Bonus: Revelation of Fan Communities.

I spent a few weeks lurking on forums, mainly learning what the hell the concept of a forum entailed. My favourite spot that quickly garnered my full attention was the Mechadrake Message Board, where amusing and creatively-named characters like "Starnik" hanged out.

Before I actually started posting myself, I must have realized the importance of picking a good screen name. I don't remember meditating on it very much, but I remember feeling strongly about picking a definitive, memorable, unique name ever since I learned that you could pick your own online. With only a day or two of lurking, I could see the many ZeroX(Colour) variations and did not want to be one of them. Luckily, I didn't have to think too hard about it, the answer came to me while playing that same game that brought me there in the first place.

When Zero defeats Web Spider, he gets the Raijingeki ability. The "Got Weapon" voice guy made that first part sound a lot like "Ryan", my real name. This intrigued me, and within minutes of looking up the info on the MMHP, I learned that this japaneezy word that sounded like it rhymed with my name translated to "Thunder God". I thought "Hey, I love thunder!" It was perfect. On that day I knew I had found the perfect screen name for myself.

For the first couple years I actually though that the letter "j" was silent in japanese, going entirely by the Got Weapon Voice Guy of MMX4. Shut up.

Raijin was a fine, unique name for about five minutes though. Attempting to register a hotmail account taught me just how un-unique it was. I detested the thought of appending a number to the name since that was just the kind of unimaginative self-naming I wanted to avoid from the start. I had to make it unique for me by modifying it with something about me. I settled on the letter "K" because it was my last intitial, and would naturally follow a word the represented my first name. It wasn't for another few years before I decided to make that "K" stand for "Karate", which also happens to rhyme closely with my real last name, something people I know in real life had picked up on long before me. Karate is a much more well-known japanese word than Raijin to folks around here. To some people, "Karate" was my nickname for a while, just because of the loose rhyme, definitely not due to any interest in the martial arts, which I highly lack any aptitude to even attempt. I figured it would fit well with my screen name, nonetheless.

Even after learning that I wasn't the only Raijin on the internet, I was at least content to be the only Raijin in the MMC...for another five whole minutes. When I got to the UMMF, I found out there was a RaijinZ already an active member there. People joked about there being a whole alphabet of Raijins, "Z" claimed to be more entitled to the name, being the second guy on the whole net to secure the title, and accused me of jumping on the bandwagon after FF8 made the name mainstream (I had never even heard of FF8 at this point). It was disheartening, but I stuck by the name I started with. I knew no other would fit me as well as this one.

I've had a lot of fun with the name over the years; gradually learning more and more about the Japanese mythology from which it originates, getting amusing variations suggested from online friends like "Ragin' Kajun" (inaccurate) or "Ragin' Kanajun" (accurate), becoming the OTHER Thundergod with respect to community member Lord Typhon THE Thundergod, remembering my forgotten coincidental childhood superhero fantasy as another lightning personification (the rights to whom have been sold to Ben for his Baldur Saga, possibly), and even some half-assed attempts at designing an actual character based on it.

Truthfully, all my first choices for MM team positions have been for the electric types, but naturally, someone beat me to them every time. Elecman.exe, Flashman.exe, and Sparkman. I had a shot at them all, but I don't regret how things turned out. Even if I don't get to play it out very often, the Thunder will always be a big part of me.

The Communist Merc
Hunter Chameleon is some old alias of mine ; to start with, he was my not-so-NPC in a paper-based Megaman RPG some time beofre I discovered the Maniacs' site.
Then I joined the Proboards, and it was at that time that Warpman appeared for the "Renegade Robot Masters" RP- he changed very little from this point, mostly in appearance.
Later, there was the MMC episode, and the appearance of the 7M. I started working on my in-Ep character, called Hunter. His story was a bit finalized with the Mech Monsterz period, and only a name-change occured when I joined Deep Impact recently. Might reveal this at well :

Hunter originally comes from the Fallout Universe. In an attempt to prevent the nuclear holocaust, he was sent back in time with many stuff, including a back-up of his memories. But, an accident in the machine made him land in the Megaman Universe, and the same accident turned his back-up into a sentient being of its own. Said back-up was later retrieved by Saturn Ballad's character, adaptated on a generic robot body, and later turned into Searchman.
At this point, Hunter is in a world, time and country unknown to him (I'm French, and so does he). After some time, he makes a living of giving French lessons, and thanks to the help of one of his students (unofficially Shadowstrike), he finds a decent flat.
After the events of 7M : Epilogue 1, he works for Wily and "becomes" Quint; the rest is in the following Epilogues.

Hunter's non-armored appearance changed a lot, too : from a ghoul, he became a regular-suited Vault Dweller.

When I got back to reading some of the General's earlier works (RotSA and previous stories), I decided to adapt the Team to this AU (with the General's approval), and this is how was born 7M:SA and its Captain Quint, a slightly darker version of Hunter. I enjoyed writing him as a turncoat and a true mercenary at heart.

Quint and Searchman represent two different sides of me : the Commie Merc is more like the regular me (sometimes inattentive, but able to focus on certain subjects), whereas the Deep Impact member is more like the focused me, except colder.
Now a full-time Communist.

My original name, like my older epilogues and artwork, are the unfortunate outcome of my juvenile and prepubescent self having been allowed on the internet. For a year or two prior to my exposure to the community, I'd been using Nightmare as a kind of net-handle... I can't remember where it had derived from, but my earliest use of it was on a crappy personal webpage (this was back when geocities URLs had like 20 slashes and randomized numbers in it) that I decided to call Nightmare's Domain, so perhaps that's where the name started, though I might have used it before as well. I know it wasn't my first SN, though, because I used to frequent a chat called Volano and I used the alias "TheHawk" there, in tribute to my favourite character Tobias from the Animorphs series.

Anyways, following my adoption of the Nightmare name, which was *SO* cool and unique, I had a "character idea", if one could call it that, of an anti-hero named Nightmare who used psychic abilities to project peoples' fears into reality. Whee, exciting. Then came the whole XT, Mech, two Gemini situation, which most people know the story of by now, and I was given Gemini Red. But Gauntlet wanted to somehow make clear to readers that this wasn't the same Gemini Red as the villain, so I recoloured the sprite all bad-ass lame and called him Nightmare Gemini. I wanted to keep the powers I'd come up with for my Nightmare character, but G said they'd be too powerful, and I also had to somehow justify the possession of and recolouring of the Gemini clone, so I came up with some crappy BS (which stands for back-story, but the other acroynm is equally appropriate) about having come from an alternate dimension where my powers are diminished on this world. Because that's never been done before...

G always hated the two Gemini idea, bless him, so when C.J. resigned he automatically transferred me (I being the non-canonical of the two) to the Top Man spot. At the time I was a little upset, but as everyone can tell I've embraced the Top Man model within time. Let's jump a little forewards in time, to after I'd gotten tired of the Nightmare moniker and its ridiculousness.

So here I was, stuck with a character who was small, weak, and pretty much the laughing stock of everyone except those who went "awww, he's cute" when they saw the sprite. I didn't really need an alias now since there was only one Top Man, but I still wanted to give him a "title" of sorts that would make him sound at least a *little* cooler. Somehow I came up with The Spinning Demon... just kind of came to me, no inspiration really.

Gauntlet and I both knew at this point that my back-story was garbage, an attempt at god-moding from an eager but misguided youth, and now that I had a better nickname I had wanted to sever all ties from my previous alias. Luckily, G was one step ahead of me and had already decided to retcon my lame origin into oblivion. And poof! Not only was I never technically Nightmare (although, of course, characters would still have referred to me as such) but there was a NEW character to refer to as Nightmare (N-Top, that is) which means that nobody would likely still refer to me as such. Utter brilliance!

So now I go by Top, although a lot of people call me S.D. for short, which I like as well. In fact, I named my Pokémon trainer S.D. when the new game came out. It can stand for whatever name you might like! Hoo-ray versatility.

Back from the "Dead"
Well..actually..about 4 years ago, when I first got my computer, I was (and pretty much still am) slightly obsessed with Maximillion Pegasus from..er..YuGiOh >> lol. My friend introduced me to a game, my first MMORPG, it was runescape :P and my screenname, was Pegasus991. I've since then evolved from YuGiOh's Pegasus, to my own character, Pegasus, and runescape helped me put an image to that new persona.
Aqua blue hair, blue eyes, a blue shirt, and tan pants. Since runescape, I've used Pegasus on numerous games, from Silkroad, to Pokemon for GBA lol.

Zymeth started out as my first Dungeons and Dragons character. He was an evil wizard, big surprise. Later I started playing Starcraft and I figured the "Lord" title sounded cool, hence the name "Lord Zymeth" was born. So "Lord Zymeth" was just my alias for a while, until I started playing Neverwinter Nights, in which I made this long and overly-elaborate dungeon in which the end boss was a lich which shared my namesake, which started fleshing out his character and cemented his role as an undead sorcerer. Zymeth began truely fleshing out as a character when a few friends and I began playing this command-and-conquer style roleplaying game, in which I was Zymeth in charge of a large mass of undead. Also, my obsession with grim-reaper-esque characters dictated his weapon of choice. Finally, when Regulus and I came up with FDP, Zymeth's character finally began fleshing out as essentially all of the malevolent and dark aspects of my own personality personified. That's how Zymeth came to be.

Rose & Blossom
In the past I simply used my actual name as a handle which is why I'm usually referred to as Lennon by most people and as such I didn't really bother to create a handle for myself (other than use Geminiman when I joined the Mechs) until much later where the concept of me getting a handle was actually completely redundant.

My first handle, which was actually barely ever used, if ever. Was Distar, which was derived from the word Gemini which we all know is Twin Stars. I took the word "di" (as in dioxide) and added it to the word star to create Distar or Two Star in order to form the name. But I ended up never using it. Later on I have given this name to a screenname I used on the Gamewinners Forum when I used to frequent it named Neo Dragoon and the made the actual character Distar Arbacross, the Neo Dragoon whom is a valiant dragon knight who obsesses over justice and honor.

Now on to the story of my character referred to in my current handle.

A few years ago I was watching the movie 'Hero' since I am a big Jet Li fan and I fell in love with the names the characters had in the story (namely Broken Sword & Flying Snow) I then decided to create one such name for myself. I thought to myself what words would be able to represent me? Since I am incredibly fond of water and ice, or the Aqua element, I decided to use the word Icy for the first half of the name and then I used Rose for the second half since Roses were a symbol that represented bishounen in anime (most notably in Revolutionary Girl Utena, which is where I got the concept and Ouran High School Host Club) and thus I got the title IcyRose.

I later developed IcyRose to be an intelligent bishounen character who was proficient in swordplay and used swift, graceful and elegant movements in battle and would also frequently common on how there was no beauty in various tasks he or his peers were performing. Shortly afterwards, my friends and I were going to write up a story similar to Suikoden 3 or Fire Emblem and I decided to use IcyRose as a character, this time adding an adept ability in strategy into his list of abilities and also made him a devoted and loyal follower to whoever he served but knew when to draw the line between good and evil and swore never to serve a leader who would sway to path of evil.

However, we also decided to create new names for the characters to make them sound more natural and I was then given the task to change IcyRose into a more normal looking name. A friend of mine then suggested I remove the I, S and E from IcyRose and use the name Cyro. That worked, but I also felt that Cyro sounded a lot like a surname and not really suitable for a first name. So for the meanwhile I called him Lord Cyro since the title Lord was the most noble sounding one that wasn't King, Prince or Emperor since IcyRose was never going to be someone in charge of an entire kingdom, at the most he was going to be the royal advisor, but still had to have some royalty to his title and thus I used Lord.

I then developed the name Yukura as a first name for Lord Cyro, I did so using the same method I used to create IcyRose, I merged the japanese word for Snow (Yuki) with the word Sakura (which we all know are cherry blossoms and yet, another symbol for bishounen in anime/manga) to create Yukura (which is oddly enough a hot spring in Japan). Then there was the problem that Yukura Cyro was too much of a god-moder seeing as he was a strategist and a sword fighter which shouldn't really mix as you wouldn't really see the strategist charging into the frontline of battle to slay the enemy forces. So I had to split up Yukura into two characters, one that focused on strategy, the other on swordplay. I then created Yusui Cyro (the name Yusui derived from the words Yuki (Snow) and Sui (Water)) for that purpose who had little to no personality at the time and was simply there to embody my need for a swordfighting character, I later gave Yusui the undying loyalty characteristic and made him a loyal and deadly younger brother for Yukura who would follow him to the ends of the world.

The actual name IcyRose however needed to go somewhere, so I gave it to the Cyro brothers as a title. Seeing as they were both royalty I gave them the title Lord of IcyRose and then decided that the actual House of Cyro itself should be referred to as the IcyRose which was then used as an emblem for the noble house.

Also the character of Geminiman eventually took on the characteristics of Yukura as well since beforehand, I had basically made him into a complete god-moder but as a constant, Geminiman always possessed a chivalrous nature since I have always been fond of being the knight in shiny armor. So in Series 5 epilogues I decided to change Geminiman's character and evolve him from being the god-moder he had been for three previous series and change him into the beauty-obsessed gentleman he is now, this was also partially influenced by the Alternate Geminiman from Series 4 epilogues whom was probably my biggest influence in my liking to bishounen. Also, the character personality change came around the same time Classi joined as Sparkchan so one could also perceive that his change in personality is made so that he would be better suited as the electric robot's love interest. However in all reality it is Geminiman's attempt at being more like himself and less like how he thought he should be to be popular.

Way back when in 1996-- way, way, way back before forums, instant messaging became staples a young Benjamin Ronning (then still going my given name Patrick Mains; call me that and I personally impale you) discovered a place called the Internet through AGT (now Telus) PlaNET. Being an avid Sonic fan, Ben usually visited Sonic websites but came across the Mega Man Homepage through Thad "X" Boyd's homepage thus coming across early, but now sadly forgotten websites, like the Mega Maniacs, Pixelboy's homepage, and Mega Man: The Man in Blue.

In the summer of 1997 when young Ben decided to create his own website, the horribly derivative and thankfully forgotten "Pharaoh Man's Tomb." Fast forward one year later to the summer of 1998; Ben, now a disgruntled Middle School outcast, rented a Play Station from blockbuster along with two games: the highly underrated "Hercules" from Disney and Mega Man X4. It was then Ben decided to go by Magma Dragoon, eventually creating a string of failed websites and joining several fan-made team such as Megamanxtreme's aptly named "Xtreme Force"

It would be a year later, Ben now a high school freshman, got into contact with a Gary Martin AKA Ice Man of the Sinister Six. Enamored with the idea of starting a team of his own, Ben, with Gary's blessing, created the Amazing X-Force based on the Mavericks from Mega Man X4. Though short lived, the team gain notoriety as the first X series team, it's confusing continuity, and ridiculously overpowered. It was also during this time, when the X-Force was on "temporary hiatus" that Ben assumed other personnas like Spiral Pegacion and Blaze Heatnix but never assumed them long enough for it to matter.

By the year 2002, on a lark Ben joined Tails28's revival of Wilys Warriors. Originally Ben coveted the Metalman position but settled on Heatman, making the most of it he wrote the Warrior's first "real" epilogue and found himself oddly proud of his creation and went on to write several more epilogues which he considers his best work. It was also around then that Ben, tired of the snafu surrounding the X-Force, ended the team's adventures with the two part series finale "The Unlimited" that lead into Gary's penultimate story "Iceman vs. Red" and introduced Neo Dragoon. He originally planned to revive the X-Force; alas, he never got around to it.

Following a purge of the Sinister Six roster, Gary approached Ben with the position of Fireman. Having collaborated with Gary on many previous occasions, Ben gladly accepted it. Though he never wrote a -complete- S6 epilogue, he created the site layouts and often helped Gary with brainstorming new ideas. Ultimately, after Gary's passing, Ben shut down the Six along with his colleagues.

Ultimately, Ben's legacy to the community is a string of failed and abandoned projects (notably Alternate Universe tales of the XF and S6) and propensity for eating newbies. He continues to serve as a member of Wilys Warriors but now prefers to work on his own projects that he only shares with a precious few.

That is all.

When I finally got a computer in, I believe, winter of 1999, I had to make an E-mail address.

Since I was taking Karate at the time, the E-mail address was obvious

Blackbeltsam@compuserve.com (No longer working, as we dropped Compuserve)

I mainly lurked at various hilarious websites (mainly comics and crappy fansites) until I came across a specific Mario website called Lemmy's Land, which I spent much time on, and actually contributed stuff, and it was the first "community" I joined.

And my screen name was Blackbelt Koopa.

Looking back on it, my work sucked.

Anyway, one day while surfing the web, I came across the Sinister Six, and discovered the Mega Man Community.

I read the stories, I enjoyed the stories, and I was content to lurk.

Until news of Mega Man Battle Network came up. I instantly fell in love with it.

And than there was news of Viral Infection, and they needed members.

So I sent an E-mail to the leader, TRC. He than asked what SN I was on their forum. I said I didn't have one, so I made one.

Again, I was known as Blackbelt, and I was Bass.EXE of VI.

Later, I would also join the Net Guardians as King Man, and Armored Armadillo on Alpha Movement.

Both of them also share the Blackbelt moniker.

However, my persona on the Darklight Mercenaries, Samuel Darklight, does not share the Blackbelt persona.

Honestly, we were trying to come up with a name (Than known as Lan and the Magic Ham) and the name Darklight Mercenaries came to mind. And the Darklight name stuck.

Well, my character that is really my character, is the main character of the "daydream series" that I do... in my head (yes it is anime style, sometimes videogame sprite style, but not often). The whole idea started as, hey wouldn't it be cool if there was this guy that could have two different armors (started calling them breaker or buster armors later on) that he could have on simply by wanting them to be put on? Well, after thinking about it, killing one of those armor ideas and just sticking with the black armor with claws as weapons (this armor had its helmet being the shape of the head of a wolf), plus making other sweet characters (the clones of the main character, two other characters being based off people I know in real life, and so on). I also had to experiment with the other weapons that he himself would use, the first round being the armor's claws, dual pistols that needed no reloading (kind of like a megabuster in a sense), a sacred sword, and an even heavier and longer sword that doubled as a lance. I then decided to kill the idea of the heavier sword/lance combo weapon, and reduced the number of pistols to one. I then had to decide what other abilities he could do, one of which still stands is that he transforms into the sweet wolf demon that inhabits his body (if you have ever played "Bloody Roar" and played as Yugo, it's pretty much that except no clothes, and the fur color is black). I started to develop other characters as well, making two of the three clones be like brothers to the main character, with them having their own armors, abilities, and weapons. I will however not reveal the name of this character (if you've seen the failed RP I tried to start in the Role Play section, NONE of those names are correct).

P.S. I also had to create a few evil characters, one of which was the main guy who cloned the main character ( the main character and the clones all hate him, since he didn't really think of them as humans but as one big project).
I can't explain it, but at this moment, the song "China" by Michael Angelo Batio is rampaging in my head right now. Quite a lovely rampage it is turning out to be.

WARNING!
The story of my net handle, Cyros, is neither epic nor exciting. But of course, I'll explain it anyway.

The story begins around the year 2000 to the first half of 2001, I can't be too sure. But it was at this time, on my iMac and using the basic AOL 5.0 browser that I began to explore the world of the Internet outside of AOL message boards and keyword sites. Being a fan of the Pokémon series, I managed to run into a large fanfiction site called the Pokémon Tower, which I wrote one chapter of a horribly planned story. It is still there to this day.

Anyway, aside from the Pokémon Tower, I stumbled upon another place, Battle of the Sonic Stars. Reading through the thing, it began to inspire me to write my own little episodes, even ones where I became part of the main cast. They never came to light, but I think it was for the best. But now for the REAL story.

Then, sometime during the summer of 2001, I came upon a site that would CHANGE MY LIFE FOREVER. Well, not really, but it was still an important time. It was a simple website, run by a person two years my senior that hosted a simple, yet at the time totally awesome, sprite comic (the first I've ever seen). That man you all should know well, for he's on these boards too; a Mr. Russel "Starnik" Williams.

Anyway, Starnik's site had links to other sprite comics (including Bob and George) and I immediately started getting into them (well not BnG, that came a few months later). At the point I decided to join the Bob and George forums, I needed a name. Something to identify me by. Being the youngling as I was, I had played a few games (ROMS) including Chrono Trigger, and the name Cyrus caught my eye. Wanting to make it a bit futuristic, I just changed the "u" to and "o" and BINGO! Cyros.

No, the story doesn't end there. Being the age of recolors and crappy edits, I went about to create my own personal sprite. I took the Rush Suit (mainly for it's gloves), recolored it, then to make it a bit unique, I took the helmet of a Cecil sprite and, using Appleworks, BADLY resized it to fit somehow. It worked for the time being, and Cyros had form.

At this point in time, I made several attempts at sprite comics. The first prototype comics were never released officially, and had bad resizing. The next series had a bit of a copout in the middle, but I managed to reach just past 50 comics. During these troubling times (in which I had being ridiculed by my fellow forumers and heartbroken by my freshman year crush), I steadily improved my sprite and thus, my general appearance. Backstories for Cyros have come and went, but I generally saw him as this dark knight who, like Cecil, fought for good. And was human, unlike the many robot people.

Sometime during this (I don't know when) I began following the Megaman Team scene. When I joined my first Megaman Team, X Gladiators, I had plans for the group but never really got them going down. Then I went on to make my own team, Maverick Hunter Unit X. In all, I was one of my better successes, lasting a good few months and getting out three epilogues and a full roster by the time the end came. I also got Spark Mandrill as a member, where he signed up on the MM3 board and what not. At this point, I was a bit of a lurker.

High school came and went, and I was essentially in a bit of a limbo. I too eventually joined the MM3 boards (before the "assimilation") and began to hang out. I eventually had plans to revive MHUX, but then saw the Alpha Movement had been born. Thus, I went on to make an X8 team, New Generation. Planning was going well, but then college showed me that I did not have the proper commitment to be a leader.

Then eventually, when Starnik pronounced the closing of Wily's Warriors, the demand of the people for it to be revived spurred something in me. I had originally talk to Starnik about being Metalman, but someone (Naoshi) got that position. Gathering what examples of work I could (my Fanfiction.Net stories and some animations) I applied for the last spot, Flashman. It was a close close between me and Jade, but I was the one to be given the position.

Now storywise, I had to think of how to have my character act. In all, I wanted him to be me, just... a more ideal version of me. I still gave him some of my flaws, of course, as no one can truely be perfect, but I gave him some strenghts I lack as well. I even wrote a bit of an origin story for him (can be found on the Wily's Warriors website) and began to see him as some sort of technorganic lifeform (both robot and human, yet neither). That is, he was in his original body; only his mind exists in Flashman, for now.

HOWEVER (yes, I'm almost done), Cyros as a whole, as a universal avatar is such: I am Cyros. Cyros is me. Cyros has several physical and mental flaws corrected, but still follows a lifestyle like my own. He has trouble romancing girls, is often distracted when doing long term projects, and still, after all these years, willing to give the anime version of Ash Ketchum a freaking chance. Oh, did I mention he is handsome?

Posted Image

Not that I'm calling out to any ladies out there... really, I'm not.

All in all... I guess that's it. Now that wasn't epic NOR interesting, was it? :shark:

Stardust
Inducted into Evil
Back in 2003, I was on a forum called the Sonic Zone Forums, and I needed a character for an RP. I don't know how I came up with the so-versatile-it's-ridiculous Stardust O. Celestial, but I did. Through the years, I came up with a back-story for him, that being that he comes from a family of other-worldy treasure-hunting rabbits, and I spent a long time tryng to come up with a fixed weapon style for him. I never did, but I enjoy the flexibility I have when working with ol' Star in RPs since he can do a lot of stuff.

Later, I joined the Reploid Rebellion after discovering the MM Community and joined the RR as Commander Yammark. My history with this community is pretty vague, but during my time with the RR, I came up with several other characters, including *ahem* myself with a little twist, my cartoony inner child Kathy, and an alternte version of Stardust contained inside a magic scarf (think Ben 10-ish here). So now there's two versions of Stardust: The Sonic RP Stardust, who is a character in himself and sports a pair of techno-goggles on his head for originality, and the "Scarf Stardust" who I use in RPs at the Echo Network. This Stardust is done in a chibi style and has no mouth and no goggles as a result.

Not sure how to explain how I came to be in the community as my memory sucks really bad. If I remember correctly I came upon the Mechanical Maniacs and Sinister Six's sites along with the X-Force looking up information on Megaman. I loved the stories so much. I lurked around the internet since around 2003 or maybe later or earlier I dunno. XD My memory sucks.

I did make my own team which was kinda sucky in my opinion but it got me further into the community. I did join other teams as well. Over the years I evolved into a more open minded person and started discovering who I truly was and etc. I eventually joined Annihilation.EXE

I did go to the forums before it joined the MMC and before all the forum switching I think but I never posted much. I was pretty stupid as a kid I know. I don't think I really hanged around any other forums previously before joinin the MM3 forum. As I said my memory is suck and it's probably nothing interesting. XD

Anyways I met up with lots of nice people in Annihilation and I also met Nijubu there who I love so very much. This is where the story of my nickname comes in. Floofie is the nickname Nijubu gave to me. He said it's the sound fire makes or something I dunno XD But it was so cute I decided to use it as my handle eventually.

My character is basically just an energetic and sometimes retarded cat boy who wears a purple long sleeved shirt and blue jeans. XD It's apart of my art style to have my characters wear big long sleeved shirts. Even still I've continued to change a bit over time.

I guess that's it for me.

Novaman.EXE, or occasionally, SuperNova.EXE was simply the name of my first Megaman RP forum character when the Rockman EXE fad started. How did I come up with the name? Well, I sorta made it up myself. I've always been fascinated by space, mostly suns, and how some of the larger ones go supernova when they run out of energy. I just thought it would be cool to incorporate that kind of cosmic power into a game character. Well, I'm all done here.

P.S. Some of you other guys have some pretty deep stuff. o_O

I have a....shadow in my title?
The origins of Enigma came about waaaaaaay back when, i.e. several years ago. I had joined a Sonic forum that just so happened to feature an RP section. So I came up with this idea for an RP; it quickly took off and became a ridiculous hit. One of the main characters I used back then was a grey Shadow recolour (no imagination back then) called Enigma, named for his mysterious attitude and dark-themed powers.
Recently, about a year or so ago, I joined another Sonic forum. There I came across an RP board named Worlds Apart. One of the sections was, rather obviously, a Sonic RP. Needing a character, I brought Enigma back from the murky depths of obscurity and used him, giving him a katana for good measure. He had also gone from a studious sorceror to a game-loving dork.
As basically eveyone used their character's name as their username, I used Enigma. Et voila, it soon spread out and became my "official" name, pretty much overshadowing my old alias, Paper Groove Guy.

Dynamax is a name with a long history for me.

Remember the nintendo Power that had the results of the Design a MM character in it? the one that spawned Wind Man and Knight Man? it was the same issue with the GB MM3 and MM5, and the next one had MMX. Seeing the designs made me think, and remember this was when 5 came out, Mega Man needed a rival. Me and my friend at the time were big MM fans so we designed alot of fan stuff. I remember some of my old fan RMs (Psychic Man, Atomic Man, Lead Man, Panzer Man) but we never made a rival so we each made up our own. I came up with two actually. Brother robots.

Dynamax was a large, powerful yet calm and thoughtful warrior. He had some similarities to Megatron...the original one (His helmet shape, an arm mounted gun). I came up with Dynamax by altering the word Dynamic.

The other was Ultimax, who was loosely based off of Starscream, he was a cocky and brash flyer. He was fairly smaller than his giant brother but far more maneuverable.

They also had a combination form (I envivsioned the being a final foe in a game, a plot twist after beating Wily) called Supremax. They fused and gained a whole new form, looking not like a transformer and more like something of godlike machine. He wasn't really Godlike but I wanted something that said "HOLY CRAP!!!"

Sadly I no longer have the original pictures thanks to a wicked stepmother but i plan on picking up the pen one day and drawing them up. Might post them here.

Back to the story.

I have another webname, Guyver Ultima (Based off of my fave anime and the Ultimate Atack spell from Final Fantasy) on a transformers site, Seibertron. I reused the three names to make TF fan characters for an online game they have there. (hence now there are two Dynamax's) and eventually decided to take the name as my online alias, though in rare occasion I use Guyver Ultima.

Originally, I never went by the name "Rebel40000." My very first internet alias was VGP_Man, which stood for Video Game Parody. Anyway, after about a year I went through a slew of name changes (like ten) until I finally decided to just stick with one that had no hidden meaning behind it--Rebel40000. Where I picked his name up is simple: My mom made it. Yes, the big secret of how Rebel got his name came from his own momma. She decided, when we first got a computer to choose an email account name for me, which was Rebel10000. Eventually I tried making another email account using that moniker, but the name was taken, so I ended up switching to 40000. And behold... there it is.

As for character personalities, I need to work slightly backwards to explain this, starting with Magna Centipede. When I crowned myself leader of the island I mimicked a few other leaders that I got laughs from; Master Shake from ATHF, Captain Murphy from Sealab 2021, and Starnik in the WW eps. Despite this I don't really think it matters--I really can be an ass just like the epilogues portray me as.

Ring Man is slightly odd, because even though he was my first character I didn't come up with an actual personality in my mind until after the CIA's creation. Most of his personality was influenced by our former Bubble Crab's PBX, an ironic twist considering that in the CIA eps Magna hated Bubble.

As for my love of Coke... It all comes with time. I drank enough Coke and Pepsi to figure out that Pepsi tasted like crap and I was only going to stick with Coke from that day onward.

Ah, I remember. A long time ago back when I was in 5th grade or so I was home for a snow day. I went looking for Megaman pics and stumbled upon the Maniac page. At first I didnt read the epilogues (this was back when Series 4 just started) but eventually I did and I was hooked. I noticed the forum link and joined as SSJ Gauntlet, because I was a kid who loved DBZ and I thought Gauntlet kicked ass in the epilogues.

At the same time I was at a DBZ forum. I used to be called Android20rocks, which sucked as a name. I started a forum with some friends of mine from there and we settled on the name Anime Freak. Hence I considered that my name. Well the DBZ forum didnt have an option to change names so lo and behold they had a once in a life time chance to change your name. I asked for Anime Freak, but apparently it was taken by a guy who never posted. So I settled on Anime Master.

Eventually I changed that here too around the time Shadowyguy started the CC. Now, seeing how I am not as into Anime as I was in my youth, I use the name Drillmaster or Drill, for obvious reasons.

As for Star Wars...I remember when I was 3 my dad pulled out his copy of Star Wars and said "Son, I want you to see this movie. It's called Star Wars. You are gonna love it." I did.

My character...I dunno...I just kinda based him on myself.

Not exactly the best tale, but thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

Well, there's another bunch of characters I have, so I may as well talk about them.

Now, most of you may not know about the Legacy of the Twit, a band of would-be adventurers I created (I don't think I've posted any of their stories here). They were created way back when, i.e. a few years ago. Again.
Back when I was a newbie on the Mega Man Crosswars forum, I decided to make a group of comic-fantasy characters that I could use in stories. They were named the Legacy of the Twit for no real reason other than the fact that they were useless adventurers. They're still around nowadays, but regardless, the characters are:

Villy Quickblade: This fighter/leader-type guy was made around the time that I used all sorts of weird made-up names, such as his own. His original schtick was to open up plot-holes out of nowhere and screw with reality in general. I have no idea why, really; it just seemed funny at the time. This was since abandoned, and he's since become a somewhat sarcastic loser that just wants to lead a normal life, but he keeps getting dragged into crazy adventurers nontheless.

Merano Snatchen: If his namesake isn't obvious enough, then I'll explain it; he was made back when Command Mission was just released, and since Marino is the thief-type of the group, I just changed her name a bit. Et voila, instant rogue! Really, he hasn't changed much at all, except for the fact that he used to think everyone was smarter than him. Yeah, I don't know either.

Krudger Steelaxe: This warrior guy is actually a beardless dwarf. The reason is that he used to be a human, but I figured that there should be at least one non-human, so I gave him a little backstory about how the other dwarves go jealous and shaved it off, causing him to be exiled from his home. Not the greatest idea ever, but meh.

Merlin Everon: The namesake is blatantly obvious, but I figured it was good enough. He hasn't changed much either.

Baron Sordid: This guy is the arch-villain of the series, and is also fairly new. I wouldn't call him an idiot, but....well, his ideas often "lack consideration". The villain was originally some imaginative guy called the Dark Lord. But that wasn't much good, so I changed him to a villain that I created as a mere gag character in a one-panel comic that soon became an arch-foe in his own right: an evil necromancer named Malzard the Infernal. Recently, though, I got bored and decided to doodle a little one-panel joke about evil tax-collectors. The guy I drew was a typical fantasy villain, with a skull-like helmet, horns, spiky boots and a cape to boot. Y'know, the usual stuff. Anyway, I soon afterwards thought that he was really cool, and I wanted to use him. But this was back in the day when the villain would change in every story, and I wanted to use him as a recurring foe instead of Malzard. So I decided to leave Malzard in me and my brother's RPG campaign and install Sordid as the chief villain. Yay!
