Well, I've been browsing through various Mega Man-related sites as of late and I've noticed a specific update on everyone's favorite new MM series.
Now, from what I have heard about ZXA, it apparently ends with a cliffhanger of sorts, so it makes me wonder why Inticreates has set such a mark they feel will be "difficult to make." If what I heard about ZXA is true, then if this mark isn't met and Inticreates decides to abandon the series altogether it could become another Legends series all over again... and as we all know that is no good right there. |

The Zero series stopped being Rockman. This one tried to make up for four crappy games. I like the ZX series pretty good, personally. But yeah, I see where you're coming from, G. I try not to think about it being linked to the Classic and X series. That always works. |

i've a problem with it wen people say "if it does not sell X copys, we are not going to make game Z"(see the clever thing i did here?). specialy if it's a cliffhanger ending. why make and plot the next game in the series, make the first one, and not make the other? why not make it one solid game? people, even the staff, would be better off if it was one game with a solid stand alone script. what would nintendo do if metroid prime 1 & 2 would sell bad, stop making 3? corupt there good name from delivering a half finished series? |

Okay... I guess I should put my thoughts in here. Rebel: I don't think that they would do such a thing. Especially if the source is not only second hand, but paraphrased due to bad English. This could mean anything from "We will do a ZX3 even if it doesn't make 100,000 copies sold" to what Rebel said they're saying (or whoever the source is) to "We're going to make a totally new game with ZX like play styles!" and the like. While I don't have any sales data on ZXA, as far as I know, the ZX series has been one of the best selling MM games in a while. This is just what I've heard off of sites such as Atomic Fire and all, given I can't really read Japanese and the like. Proto Stryker How did the Zero series stop being Rockman? Was it because they went and instead of giving you 8 bosses to defeat and acquire powers, they gave you a more Metroid/Castlevania type game with a large map (in the first one) or was it because you couldn't play as Rockman or X themselves? I'll let you have your opinion on how you think they're crappy, I can't deny you that. I personally think the Zero games were really good. But I don't see why you deny that they're part of the same time line as the Classic and X series. Yes it is possible, and I can see how you can do it. Heck, the same idea there can be used to try and convince those that the Classic and X series aren't connected. Just cause you don't like something doesn't mean you can ignore it, especially when dealing with what is and isn't canon. You just have to deal with the fact that your ideas and what is real conflict. That's why we have fan fictions. By enough of that. Bah... just ranted a bit more than I really wanted to, but still... |

Not exactly certain where the original source came from, but it is true that translation errors are probable. I merely made the topic to see what other people thought and also ask the same question that Majin brought up, "Why?" They've completed two games in the series, and apparently they left a nice cliffhanger at the end of the second game, so why in the world would they suddenly go "Yeah, we might not make the third." Sure, it's happened before with Legends, but Inticreates is behind this. The whole thing boggles my mind. Anyway, I do hope that this is just a translation error. I want to see the ZX series move onward. |

on another note, don't you think it's odd that the X series stopped after X8 for how manny years now? 'specialy now that the plot actualy made a total twist with removing sigma as the main vilian. i rather see were this goes, then to say that the X series stops from this point. |

I personally think the ZX series WILL move forward. It has a lot of potential, and while there are limits, I don't see them being a problem. Heck, Capcom was able to use the same formula for the Classic games for 10 years with just minor changes with sliding in 3 and charging in 4. The X series was similar, with even fewer real game play changes until 7, and even then that was changed back in 8. While I haven't played ZXA myself, depending on the cliffhanger they leave off on, they -might- be able to get 4 games out of it. I doubt they'd be able to get more than that with out some kind of change in plot similar to how they did in the Battle Network series. |

Dang, I didn't quite expect to excite some fanboy into a ranting fit. Guess that's what happens with some people. Anyway, I don't particularly like the series for a couple of reasons. Yes, gameplay is one of those - as in, I don't really care for this new Zero's fighting stuff. Another thing, the art is pretty well retarded, at least in my opinion, but that's a whole different subject. Third point, Zero himself is a major WTF to me. I like the plot - all of that sounds pretty cool and all. I just do not like Zero, is that some hard thing to grasp? And you misunderstand what I mean about them being connected. You can't deny that the Classic and X are connected. The same goes with Zero. I just choose to pretend it didn't happen - much like how Final Fantasy 7 fans pretend Dirge of Cerberus does not exist. Now, ZX? I like it a whole lot. It's really fun to play and the storyline is cool. I'd thought up something like this making a good game. I just thought it would be more of an Alternate Universe, but this is good too. At any rate, I'm not saying Zero wholly sucks. Just a lot of things about it. Hell, one of my favorite themes is Falling Down from Z4. So yeah, parts of it are pretty good, but most of it is just BS in my mind. Mainly, I just wish that Akira would have kept the design similar to the old Zero. Updated would be fine, but um... not like this new guy. o_O |

Yeah. I don't normally go off like that, save for when I feel like someone's hating on something for no good reason. Things are cool though now that I've read your thoughts and all.
You and a lot of people there really. Not much we could have done about it though. Just had to deal with Zero and his thong. |

Heh, well said. Not to mention the birthing hips that the action figure seems to exaggerate. XD |

And people tend to think the MMX Zero looks more like a girl? I beg to differ. MMZ Zero's hair's more flowing and feminine-looking IMO, and the boots almost look as though there's raised heels on them. |
