Ok, I have a terrible history with this thread, but I've got some better content now (I've surprised myself lately). I can't seem to stop drawing as of late, thankfully, I dare say I'm improving. I like to see the evolution of artwork, so I'll post my rough sketch, then the CG'd finish.

High-jump Regulus (Rough) I've taken a shine to going over my final sketch with an ink pen to give it a bold outline, then I take one of those art gum erasers and completely erase all the pencil smudges. Leaves you with a nice, clean, CG-ready scan (That gray bar at the top is some pencil smudge that I didn't erase because I had the paper on a clipboard. Sort of a "whoops" moment there).

High-jump Regulus (Cleaned up) This took surprisingly very little time to do (That eraser treatment really helped the process). This is my Photoshopped version of the original sketch. I put a cool anime high-jump background in there for added effect. In case anyone wants to know how you do that, it's quite simple. You choose two colors in your foreground/background pallete and go to filter>render>fibers. After that, you use motion blur and set the direction to 90 degrees. Oh, and there's the Blue Fox logo down in the corner, so everyone knows it's mine. I had a lot of fun with this one. Glad my character sprite is so easy to draw.

Vile Vile is one of my favorite villains of the X-series (Unfortunately, this isn't a very good drawing of him). I sketched him in and scanned it (Don't have the original sketch, sorry). This is an older drawing, and he was just laying in my USB memory card, unfinished. And unfinished things bug me, so I touched him up. I'm not too proud of this, but it's something I drew, so I'll put it up.

Regulus.exe This is an edit of Quickman.exe made to look like Regulus. I also put some glowing bars in for the cyberspace feel.

Blizzard/Toad (rough) Yeah, now that the word is out, you guys are soon going to see how much of a big softie I am for Zapper ^_^ I know, "cuddly Blizzardman?" Bet you never thought you'd see THAT!

Blizzard/Toad (Color) Admittedly now one of my all-time favorite MM-style pictures (Can you imagine why?). At first, I was just going to color this in and leave it on a white background, but then I thought, "Wait, Blizzardman has a snow-generator! Why not set the mood?" hence, the background and foreground. I keep on opening this file just to look at it, heheheh.

Some of you may remember seeing a black-and-white of this on Zymeth's sketchbook. This is the same drawing, except filled in using Photoshop (I'm not done with the whole thing, it's a very long procedure). I got enough of him done to have an avatar of him, finally.

Fill in the Blank Personally, I love the blank look on the nameless ninja's face. He's just staring off into space, completely oblivious to the cybernetic ninja right above him. I'll let you guys fill in what happens next... Oh, and before someone comments on the katana-to-sheathe size ratio, I did that on purpose. Regulus's katana sheathes have the unique ability to warp time-space, allowing him to fit any length of sword into the sheathe so long as it fits the opening (No zweihanders, sorry), so Regulus could even put a Sephiroth-style katana down one of those and it looks like a sheathed wakizashi.

Thanks. The random ninja looks pretty shoddy, too, but that's ok, because he's not going to be around much longer. I'll see if anything can be done about the background.

Zapper and Regulus Here's another drawing of Zapper and I together. It was easier to work with Regulus's smaller frame since I could make both characters roughly the same size without making it look odd. And yes, that's the same image used in Zapper's signature. Obviously, I had a lot of fun with this one. I used a lot of photoshop filters to make a colorful background. Other than that, not much else to say. I think the picture says more.

Winter in Payon I love drawing these, what can I say? A smaller version is in my signature.

Actually I'd have to agree with the fact you've gotten better. Especially considering that you've only really started drawing what, a few months ago? Good job, Regulus. Though, you could work a little bit more on coloring them. You know, give them a slight cell shade, just so they aren't one flat color.

Good job on these. High-jumping Regulus is coloured very nicely, and the depth shade of Vile's cannon is a nice touch.

The drawings are pretty good, but I don't like the coloring on Regulus. Too many white spots. And it needs some shadings, it looks too flat.

Vile's shadings seems uneven, some areas are very shaded while the rest have no shadings at all.

Yeah, this was a quick job, so I didn't take the time to fill in all the white spots that the magic wand left out. I might go back and shade the Regulus drawing later. I've got a lot of stuff to work on, though, so that was pretty much just a fun waste of an hour of work.

Oh, and here's another thing I decided to finish up from a long time ago.

Regulus.exe This is an edit of Quickman.exe made to look like Regulus. I also put some glowing bars in for the cyberspace feel.

Zapper: Aw, thanks, dear.

Coincidentally, this is my next upload...

Sorry if I'm creeping you guys out. I know this is complete 180 from my usual cold cynicism.

Whoops, completely my bad. I deleted the jpeg version of it on my photobucket without thinking that I linked it to here. It's replaced now.

I intend on coloring this one in, so there might be an update sometime in the future.

I got a new work done. Just a bit of an update.
Winter in Payon This is supposed to be Payon in the wintertime, a fictional forest just outside Blue Fox HQ, and a favorite alone-time spot for Zapper and I. I got the name from Ragnarok Online's Payon Woods (Zap and I sometimes hang out there in game).

I see infatuation truly brought forth your creative whimsies. By Zymeth’s testimony you’ve improved a great deal as of late, particularly in your depictions of Zapper and yourself. Your interest in subject matter shows through rather well, unsurprisingly. You have a good amount of room for improvement, however your current work is still rather impressive. I’m sure Zapper is rather thrilled with it.

Ah, thank you Lord Zaneroth. It actually means a lot to me to have you posting here in my thread, seeing as how it's one of the 7 you've made this whole time.

Indeed, Zapper was the whole reason I picked up drawing again. I suppose it makes me feel like we're closer than we actually are when I'm drawing (Hence, the reason I've drawn so many pictures).

You have very nice art and I probably will never be as good as you since I really suck at drawing (even stick figures turn out deformed if I attempt to draw them. v_v). Anyways keep up the good work. ^_^

Toadman

This is me as Toadman. I modeled the body after Zapper's armor, and as I was looking at the helmet, I thought I'd change that design up a bit, and gave him the face guard from Viewtiful Joe's helmet. Incidentally, this is the first time I've actively shaded a drawing. I think it turned out quite nicely.

I agree. It's nice to see that the design won't just be reverted to the egg-shaped armor since it's a guy in the Toad position again.

If I get accepted as Skullman, I promise I'll try to make a Toadman sprite edit for you.

That Toadman looks nice, great job Regulus.

I agree with Mega Man N, the egg-like design always looked odd even back on the NES.
