Gentlemen I have finally done it. I have been able to access other games in the Wily Wars and can carry weapons over into them. And ... they're actually programmed to work! I've ported MM1's weapons into MM2's teleporter room. Heatman is weak against the Ice Slasher and the FIre Storm refills his energy!

And Crash is weak to Top Spin! I'm blown away.

Edit: All right, I've gone through the entire night modifying the level chooser code and I've found every level in the game. Woo hoo! Especially relevant are the teleporter stages. It was definately worth it though. And it's really interesting to see that the bosses are actually programmed to respond to the weapons you're using..!

WARNING!
I wonder if all the Robot Masters are vulnerable to Time Stopper. And do any of them take damage like Quickman?

I doubt it, but it's an interesting thing to test out nevertheless.

Wait, he takes damage with time stopper? o_o since when? D: I've tried using it over and over, and all it did was hold him there, and all i could do was run around > <

Well, it did damage him in the original MM2 game. Personally I've never played Wily Wars, so I don't know the extent of the changes.

I'm pretty sure Time Stopper damages Quickman as normal in WW. He must be thinking of something else.

D: no, I am talking about the original, I swear that it never hurt him when I used it.
It's really bunk..

I probably had a screwed up version though.

In the origional, Quick IS weak against time stopper. It takes half of his life away. HOWEVER, you have to use it after his lifebar fills up, otherwise it won't work and he'll just be stuck in his intro cycle.

I've tried it against the MM3 guys, but none of them are effected.

Not quite. You know Wily Towers? Where you select weapons from all games to use just before the level starts? If you use a level modifyer code, you'lll be taken to the level OF YOUR CHOICE. Meaning, any level from any past game as well.

However, this is a hack, so it resets after the level's done. Still, the fact is all the RMs have specific sort of reactions to the different weapons, meaning .... at one point Wily Wars meant for you to be able to bring in any weapon into any game. This is further supported by the fact that, after beating Wily, you're taken to the save game area and the stage is maked with an "all clear" sprite (the same sprite forund, byu a fluke, by Ace).

If that is the case, they probably were planning on letting you keep the weapons in the transitions from game to game.

On the topic of the Time Stopper, it makes sense that it doesn't work on the MM3 bosses. I mean, just look at it from Wily's point of View, he gave his enemie the power to stop time against his robots, of course he is going to upgrade the next batch to be immune to that trick.

Well, there's a few weapons that are useless. Alien Wily is invulnerable against the MM3 weapons (didn't try MM1, but I'll bet it's the same). Gamma is ressitant to the MM1 Weapons, and a few MM2 (the ones I brought for that trip), but not to Bubble Lead. But it does pathetic damage.

Anyways, I think that's all I'll spoil .... the rest you can find yourselves. I'll post everything you need later today.

Just to wet your appitite I'll tell a bit more about this.

If you beat Wily using any other dtata setting than the normal one's (like beating MM1's Wily with WT data or MM2 data) an "all clear" sprite appears over the mugshots (the same unused one shown in the mysterioes section). If you beat all three games this way the mugshots of the Wily Tower guys will appear. If you beat Wily Tower the game resets and the "All Clears" go away.

NOW, from this we can learn a few things:
It's impossible to beat Alien Wily without the bubble lead. It's also impossible to beat Gamma with MM1 weapons and very difficult with MM2 (only Bubble Lead works ... and not very well at that). Additionally it's impossible to clear MM3 without the slide. So it's unlikely you're meant to strictly use one game's weapons in another game.

However, if you use the Wily Tower data to get your weapons then things work fine. Then you can load up on all the nessasary weapons as well as other choice ones.

Even though it's very difficult to beat Wily using another game's weapons, evidence shows that these weapons were meant to interact with bosses they couldn't possibly interact with.

This makes me think that, after all three games were beaten, you weren't meant to go right into Wily Tower. I think evidence suggests that Wily Tower's weapon select mode was meant to activate and you were meant to clear the games (or at least the Wily levels) once more using weapons of your choice. And only after that was done would Wily Tower be activated. After all, once all three stages have the "All clear" the WT guy's mugshots appear.

MAN! I have to say ... if they kept that concept in Wily Wars would be a KILLER game! Probably the best Megaman game ever. But the feature is not fully implemented.
- In many areas the level graphics glitch up. However, it's still playable .... especially to fans who've played them alot. To others get a map, use Rush Jet, and implement an infinite weapon energy code.
- if you freeze the "block" enemies (found in Metalman's and Crashman's levels) withthe Ice Slasher the face block freezes in place, but the main body keeps on going forward! Glitch!
- Time Stopper doesn't work against Doc Quickman, but most other weapon data values seem to have been kept intact.
- Sometimes Weapons just go right through Robot Masters while other Weapons interact with them to some degree, even if they don't hurt them. I'm unsure if this means the weapons weren't quite finished or if it's a feature (Fire Storm goes right through Bubbleman ... unfinished or logic?).
- MM1's Mega Clone is an interesting glitch! He's unable to use any other weapons but those found in MM1, but they do have the ability to hurt him. However, when he tries to use them the game crashes. Moreover using the Flash Stopper causes him to glitch his movements (especially when he tries to use it) and using Crash Bombs causes the Mega Clone to go crazy! GLITCH!

I haven't beaten all the levels yet, but it seems to me that glitches levels have some aspect that wasn't meant to interact with a weapon you've loaded into it. Most evident in the mega Clone! It seems to me that this feature was scrapped when it was nearly done and they just went ahead with Wily Tower. SUCH A PITY! Just imagine if they actually put it in! Instead of saying what an inferior port WW is, people would be singing it's praises! Well, I guess this is just lack of polish showing through.

I'm going to release codes and plenty of saves just as soon as I'm done exploring. COMING SOON TO A WEBSITE NEAR YOU!

Bumping this up a bit ...

Come this weekend we'll have even mor einfo on the boss weaknesses and such. It's pretty fun doing this hack and now I kinda wanna do an "airman can't be defeated" with all the unusual weapons that don't really work well on him.

If only one could do this for 4, 5, and 6...
I wonder if Centaurman would really be weak against electricity...
Operation of mission objective cleared. System switched to normal mode.
