Okay, I think it needs to be said.

Why couldn't they have made these 20 years ago!?

I mean seriously! I woulda been all over these things back then! I constantly played with the old Mc Donald's Happy Meal toys and even have more than one Koopa Paratroopa and Mario! And these are 10 times better.

Sadly, I don't have the room I used to have, but these guys are tempting. Especially the freakin' Shy Guy! But, man, back in the day these would have been my all-time favorite toy. These are all kinds of awsome.

Come on, Capcom! Make a whole bunch of Robot Masters at THIS size!

You can get them at Toys R Us. Or at BigBadToyStore.com.

But, yeah, I mean ... these would have been awsome back in the day. I don't really play with the toys I collect, but I would have been nuts for these as a kid. Absolutel NUTS for them.

I have a few mini-figures; I don't think they'd take up that much space in your home. :)

As for your question, I'm not sure if I can answer it properly, but maybe it has something to so with how available vinyl was back then. :/

I've got a Toys R Us in my local mall, and these guys are always there. They're also at FYE (the ginormous ones, at least). I like the details, however, though it looks like there's limited articulation. The 12" guys are really cool, though. They're much bigger in person.

I do have a couple 12" Mega Man action figures, too.

Yeah, but I think they're a tad better than the normal 6" line. More features, and legs don't break off. And better paint jobs, but the overall sculpt is still the same for the most part.
