Some more quirks.

I perfer robot and alien characters over human characters. This includes for role plays and such.

Like Spark, my collection of Video Game Music is large. I have a few OST Game music CDs as well. My first one was Chrono Cross that I got back in 2000.

I do not like sleeping in or staying up late... AT all.

I like to sleep when there is complete silence. I cannot sleep with noises going on.

I like to sleep with my bedroom door open. Closing it just makes me feel enclosed...

This may seem odd, fancy myself as a loner most of the times. Maybe it was how I was treated growing up. Though; I am pretty happy and easy going.

Like Floofie, I like cutsey games. Twinbee, Kirby and Parodius ooze with cuteness. Parodius is one of my favourite Konami Series.
I once killed an alien, his pelt made a nice jacket for a street hobo.

I prefer Tim Burton's Batman to Christopher Nolan's series. I mean, they're both amazing, but Jack Nicholson and Michael Keaton just can't be replaced.

I don't get fat.

My first Mega Man game was Dr. Wiley's Revenge for the Game Boy. The person working at EB Games at the time let me test it, and my first reaction was that the graphics were bad, but after that, the gameplay won me over. Since then, I've learned that graphics mean nothing.

I can listen to anything. Though I really enjoy anything rock (classic rock 'n' roll, metal, punk), there's also something about 80's music that just intrigues me. The only reason I listen to modern rap is for the hilarious lyrics.

I used to be big on NES collecting (even aquiring two items worth over $300), but I soon found it pointless, as playing them is much better.

When I really feel it's neccessary I'll stand up for stuff that matters; douchebags at school, bad teachers, etc...

I could get a LOT more done if it wasn't for my procrastination.

More stuff probably later...

-Like many here worrying about their mental health because of it, I frequently talk to myself. I wouldn't soften it by calling it "thinking out loud" either. No, I talk to myself in the second person and respond, often arguing. Only when nobody else is in earshot of course. I find it cathartic for some reason, and have come to appreciate it more recently as the amount of time I have alone has diminished. I ride with my mom to work every morning, spend the day in a crowded office, and in the evening take the bus home where my parents arrive at about the same time. It gets to the point that when I drive myself to orchestra practice once a week, after shutting the car door on myself, I end up saying right out loud "Well hello there, it's been a while since we got to hash things out, hasn't it? Now why haven't you been so productive this week?" I realize that's a bad habit, but I figure as long as I'm sane enough to know it's crazy, then I have nothing to really worry about.

Don't get me wrong, Raij, I wasn't trying to soften it, per se. It's just that I pretty much only talk to myself so I can hear my thoughts and fully take them in... although it certainly doesn't help that I tend to use the second person (albeit more as a lecture than an argument) as well. XD;;

I'm an extremely atypical faggot. I grew up listening to glam metal and classic rock. I love heavy metal, especially power metal, nearly to the exclusion of all other genres. Rob Halford is my god. I wear black cotton wristbands literally everywhere I go. On first dates and special occasions I usually wear my spiked dog collar I got from a pet store. I loathe girly gay guys.

Not gay myself, but hey, there's no shame in what you said, really. I mean, I hate how people seem to think that all gay guys act feminine and all lesbians are butch or whatever. That's horribly unrealistic, and frankly if LGBT people feel like they "have to" fit those stereotypes to be "visible" or whatever... then there's a problem in society as a whole as far as I'm concerned. You are who you are, Nijubu, and don't let anybody tell you otherwise.

Well, I guess it's never too late to contribute.
Except maybe to Raijin, who's done an awesome job picking up and holding together AXE.

But at any rate:

I handle stressful situations incredibly well. Often, it seems I thrive off of them, like I need to be stressed in order to be happy. It's nice, because I'm able to handle situations as they arise, but it's terrible, because I subconsciously create stressful situations for myself, usually by procrastinating.

Continuing the previous remark, I'm able to handle a busy lifestyle well. For example, I was working two part time jobs earlier this year while I was going to school. I would be at my first job by 8:30, leave at 3:30 and be at my next job around 4, be there until 9:30, and get home at 10. Occasionally I would have a day off from one job or the other, and be able to work on school.

What's problematic, however, is that I'm terrible at committing to projects. For whatever reason, I just can't stick with something very long. This applies anywhere from visiting this forum (or even finishing this post) being a forced effort (it's not that I don't like the community, just that I quickly lose interest), all the way to how I dropped out of college earlier this year because I felt I wasn't getting anything out of it.

I am a ridiculous technophile; I will often burst into discussion with some poor, unsuspecting coworker or friend unlucky enough to be near me when I was thinking about applications of new technology. I often obsess over unused applications of Peltier devices and solar panels, and occasionally wonder why functional electronic clothing isn't a trend yet.

I love Dungeons and Dragons. I'm trying to force myself to finish designing my own ruleset for the game. I started playing second edition AD&D, transitioned to third edition when that was the only group available consistently, and have played the occasional fourth edition game. I love traits from each of them, but believe that it could all be worked well together.

I'm running Ubuntu on my computer right now. If you would have asked me a year ago if I thought it would happen, "hell no" would have been my response. However, a misplaced Windows CD and a lazy day later, there I was exploring the unfamiliar waters of Linux.

I drink casually, and the only thing I've ever smoked was a cigar at my brother's wedding. I loved it, though, but only plan on ever smoking again if I'm drinking.

Aside from that, I drink a lot of Mountain Dew. I know it's incredibly stereotypical, but I drink Mountain Dew like some people smoke cigarettes. I get incredibly lethargic if I don't have caffeine for a few days.

Like other posters here, I too have an incredibly high metabolism. I'm 6'0" even, and weigh 150 on a good day. But I eat like I should be 250-300lbs.

Even after long days, I only need about 6 hours of sleep at night.

And there are more, but as it stands now, I can't think of anything else to add. And I've to get to work soon.

-On that note, let me say that Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are criminally unmentioned when discussing best Batman and Joker, respectively. Seriously, they ARE Batman and the Joker. Watch Batman Mask of the Phantasm. Still my favorite Batman movie of all time.

-Megaman X was my first Megaman game (And my favorite of the entire Megaman continuity).

-I hold the SNES-N64 years as the best years in gaming we've had thus far. Those were days where graphics were considered strictly sideline to making a good game.

-I reference to the above, I'm incredibly depressed to find that since I hit 20 I'm finding myself talking more and more like Cranky Kong from Donkey Kong Country.

I nominate Doomguy for next year's Nobel Peace Prize. He's a berserker-packin' man-and-a-half who gets shit done.

Being someone with Autism, I have a lot of personal quirks that I have tried to outgrow. Nose-picking being among them, and my tendency to become completely fixated on certain things. Turns out there are somethings about Autism that can be outgrown....

and now I am repeating myself. Dang it all.

Like Seadragon down there, I am high-functioning Autistic, and have Aspergers Syndrome.
-------------------------------

I am not a major movie goer. I tend to stay within the action movie genre, and the occasional comedy, but when it comes to movies, action movies steal my heart first and foremost.

-------------------------------

More recently, I have had a tendency to be really foul-mouthed in real life, another habit I am trying to shake. Though I haven't been really successful in that.

-------------------------------

For the longest time, I have never truly known what my worst fear is, at first I thought it was clowns, and then later and more recently, I thought it was fire, but nowadays, I am not so sure about that. So to this day I have never figured out what my biggest fear really is.

-------------------------------

I have a lot of anger problems, usually I bottle my feelings up or try to forget them, rationalizing that the thoughts are not worth my time. My rage usually builds up over time, and eventually boils over, repeating the cycle.

-------------------------------

When my rage explodes, I become like a nearly unstoppable beast, my rage either continues to be vented until it burns out, or is forced to smolder. The latter of which is surely not good for me. Similarly to the characterization of certain, flame-headed bot we all know and love.

-------------------------------

When I have one of these rage explosions, my rage somewhere down the line suddenly gives way to a crying fit, not like a tantrum where one stamps one's feet and other shows of immaturity, I just suddenly breakdown and begin crying. These also come with the onset of emotional breakdown's I occasionally have. Sorrowful thoughts get started in my head and for some reason I cannot stop myself from beginning to blubber and cry.

-------------------------------

I am a major anime/ manga nut, and try to watch/ read some when I have enough free time sometimes. My favorite genres range from Fantasy, Action and Mecha, to Comedic Ecchi(perverted). The main reason I'll talk about after the next devider. My favorite Anime to date is HeroMan, developed, surprisingly, by Stan Lee of all people. In his second Japanese collaborative production.

-------------------------------

I love good stories, I can't get enough of them. Anime and Manga provide me with a lot of these, and the esteemed author Clive Cussler is another favorite of mine with his Dirk Pitt novels. If you know of a good story, that has good characterization and and a good plotline, chances are that I may like it. Cause stories are the main things I love to read and have interest in.

-------------------------------

I am a avid artist in doing pencil drawings, but 60% of the time I don't complete my pictures cause I am a perfectionist with it, I want it to be exactly as I picture what I draw in my mind, and more often than not, that does not happen. My drawing style is Manga/Anime, and I have often tried to establish my own style within the genre.

-------------------------------

I am an avid gamer, if there is a game that comes out that catches my interest, chances are I would like to either buy or rent it to try it out. The notorious/ famous Strategy RPG, Disgaea, is a good example of this. I have also recently gone back to playing the games I have purchased on the Wii Shop Channel's Virtual Console shop, Final Fantasy II being among them, as well as F-Zero X.

-------------------------------

I am an introvert, I dislike going outside unless I feel I can handle the day's weather without feeling extremely hot, extremely cold, or otherwise plain uncomfortable on account of the weather.

-------------------------------

On the note of the last one. I am extremely temperature sensitive, meaning things that do not feel very hot to some people will feel very hot to me, and vice versa with cold temperatures, except I am more tolerant of cold temperatures than I am of hot ones.

-------------------------------

I do not share a lot of pop culture interests with people. I am not big on music, but I enjoy songs I think sound very good, and make me think, help me relax, or get me pumped. I do not however, enjoy Dirty Rap (Rap music about sex, drugs, etc.) I do however, enjoy clean rap (Rap that doesn't have to do with the aforementioned things). I also LOVE Techno, and can't get enough of it.

-------------------------------

I am probably the worst video game critic of all time. I am very passive when it comes to critiquing games, and I often do not address their faults, whether they have it or not. This is because I often play games for the sake of having something to challenge me mentally or occupy me, or because I love a good RPG story. Yet I do not ever address the faults of a game, or let them bother, I just love to enjoy them for what they are.

-------------------------------

Like Big Boss, I am courteous to women by nature. Chivalry in the Medieval sense may be dead, but Chivalry in the sense of manners and mannerisms certainly is not. I still however acknowledge women as a half of the human species that is every bit as capable as the male half. Paradoxical, I know, but that is how I roll.

-------------------------------

I am extremely loyal to friends and family. I will try to never truly let them down, or disappoint someone. I am also extremely defensive of my friends. My loyalty goes only so far as criminal action. If you plan on doing something criminal, count me out and keep me out of it.

-------------------------------

I am almost psychologically incapable of lying to people. The phrase "Honest to a fault" certainly fits me well. Though that is also one of weaknesses as it makes me bad at social diplomacy.

-------------------------------

I am usually a very serious person, and oftentimes, I rarely show any other emotion than serious. I need to lighten up, I know, but for some reason I channel that urge to not be serious through the internet with my interactions with other people.

-------------------------------

My sense of humor is very rusty, but sometimes I can make a good, if very punny, joke.

Like HIGH-BISCUITS, what plant name does that sound like?

-------------------------------

I speak in an intelligent manner in real life, and often use words nobody else would use on a regular basis in my vocabulary. I learn many new words from reading, hearing them, or looking them up.

-------------------------------
Like Benjamin, I hate loud noises. I can tolerate some loud noises, but if it gets too loud, then I can't stand it and have to leave the area.

I can handle concerts if I wear earplugs part of the way in for example, but if it isn't that loud, I can handle it without earplugs.
-------------------------------

I learned a bit of Japanese in High School, but I barely use what I learned because I really don't have any opportunity to other than another Japanese class, or heading to Japan.

-------------------------------

I am autistic, too!
