Apparently a Geometric Array...

Since there hasn't been a lot activity on this board lately, I have decided that now is a good time to ask an obvious question, given a certain holiday that is just around the corner... What plans do you guys have for Halloween this year? Edit: It occurs to me that my title is misleading. I figure I'll share what my my family does every Halloween. Every year, my dad sets up a huge 'haunted house' outside of our home. We have a graveyard with (styrofoam) tombstones, strobe lights that cast creepy shadows all over the yard, and freaky looking props like skulls, hands poppiing out of graves and a guy with a hook through his head. My dad likes to hide inside the coffin and scare people as they are walking past, and since he stays perfectly still and wears black to make him harder to see, he frightens a lot of people. As for me, I spent the past few years either staying at home and relaxing or going trick or treating with my friends. Last year I went to a party at a friends house, and this year I have no idea what I'm up too; I'll have to ring up some friends and see what they're up too. And that's about it for me... |

I want to say cosplay meeting with friends, but their planned evening is during a day of work for me (and is also an all-girls slumber party, being the only guy in the cosplay club can sorta be awkward). Also considering halloween also happens to be the day people are more likely to have eggs to throw at people in costume I am less inclined to wear my rather expensive cosplays during the day. Sort of a shame really, since I do kinda want to dress up for the day, but lack friends available at the time to hang out with. |

My friends and I always do some kind of costumed social event. This year it's bowling. We're going as Captain Planet & The Planeteers! Bwahaha. Pics to come. |

My friends and I filmed a zombie apocalypse movie (5 minutes) for a competition at Nikki's college. The winner will be announced on Thursday (not exactly on Halloween, but close) so hopefully we'll take first place. And yes, I will eventually share with you my horrid acting skills. I'm somewhere between Shatner and Reeves. We're also going to dress our puppy up as The White Rabbit (Alice in Wonderland) but that's about it for me! |

Please tell me you ended up with any power other than Heart. Otherwise, that's an awesome plan. My plans likely involve me hanging out with my friend and his kid (aka my "nephew", whom I'm spoiling rotten), and watching that new zombie show on AMC when it airs. Possibly other forest-related activities earlier in the day/weekend. Pretty boring, actually. |

So does the mean won of you will dress up in blue paint and shout "CAAAAAAAAAPTAIN PLANET!"? That would be awesome beyond words. As for what I'm doing this Halloween. Nothing because I have no social life, but thankful I don't have to go to work that day. That's when the kiddies go trick or treating around the mall and I'm extremely irritable when working. |

Thank you for reminding me of that awsome video. Also, it's lucky for you to get the day off; now you can sit around at home and relax! Also, CAPTAIN PLANET!!! |

WARNING!
|
Luckily for me Halloween takes place on a Sunday this year, and my workplace is closed on Sundays. I finally get to enjoy a Halloween away from the workplace! (Didn't get that much while working at a theater, because apparently young punks like to watch Saw-ish movies on Halloween). I'll probably just hang out online and help my dad hang out candy. I better be careful not to go and pig out on the leftovers. That high fructose corn syrup would devour me from the inside out. OH SNAP.

As a tradition at my school seniors get to be in costumes on the school day closest to Halloween, so on Friday my friends and I are being the Seven Dwarves (I'm Sleepy). Then I'll be going to a party with lots of candy and scary movies. Saturday I'll be missing mischief night to go to New York City, but now that I've gotten to know the city a lot more intimately I'll be going through south Manhattan whenever I can. As for the actual day of Halloween, I have no idea if anyone's actually doing anything then, lol. |

Can't say I had much in mind, really. It's going to be my birthday so that's always something, but being a college student with few connections and classes on Monday, I can't really go home or expect to go out partying with dormmates this late into the year (although I do have a cake to share if anyone else stays in the dorms that night). I was planning on going as the Phantom of the Opera either way, but only if I knew well enough in advance that I wouldn't be one of only a few people dressing up. ^^; So I might just hang out in the dorms instead and listen to the Misfits, Type O Negative and stuff like that. Pretty much my average night. XD;; |

I'm tied to my job, so I won't be able to do anything wild like dress up as Scarecrow or something. But I guess Jibjab will have a Halloween-themed movie or two I can inflict upon you all. That's always the high point of my day. |

Me and a friend are goin' trick or treating. Because you are /never/ too old for free candy. This also means dressing up, and we're prolly gunna chill at my place and watch a movie or two, depending on if I can scrounge up enough change to afford to rent something. |
