Hey guys, Recently, something made me want to find one of my oldest email addresses (one that has all my stuff from 05-07). I have no idea what got a hold of me. Maybe it's nostalgia or maybe I've just gone crazy. My first ever email address was actually on aol but it seems that it was terminated along with my internet subscription (if you can call it that) a long time ago. I must have been 12 years old when I was using that email. I can remember trying to pick up 18 year old chicks back then ![]() Anyway, after discovering that I couldn't peek into my past due to aol's betrayal, I searched for another email address. I searched on google for my old aliases and whatever other traces of my presence I could find. I found a website and (surprisingly) I was able to access my account on it using a password I still use today (my old school ID, which you will never discover). I haven't been on the account in (obviously) years. Once I was in, I looked for the email address I used to create the account. I went back to Yahoo, and entered in the email address. SUCCESS! I got in! I clicked on mail, clicked on "last" (to go to the last page of emails ) and what did I see? Nothing from before 09! All my stuff was deleted! Alas, my journey ended in sorrow. Also, while searching for my old email address, I remembered that I went on some website to send myself an email that I was supposed to receive two years ago. Now I'll never get it. Care to share any similar stories? |

I tend to not be too sentimental about old e-mails .... however, I remember becoming webmaster of the 'Maniacs after 6 months of inactivity for the team and downloading the original Hardman's bio. I also remember completely overwriting it because who needs old bios? Nobody kept them at the time. Eventually, however, I felt I should post the old bios on the site. I managed to track them all down (or have the old members replace them) except for ... the original Hardman's. The only things I can remember from it was that Hardman pretends to cry and act silly when he really isn't and that his quote was "nnnnngh" from my eps. I really wish i hadn't deleted the thing. |

I still have a few e-mails from Gary, but that probably the only sentimental stuff in my inbox. |

Hm. Well, thinking on Gary, I did scour my old computer and his old accounts for stuff for the Sinister Six Nostalgia section a while back. And I also insisted on keeping the old X-Force stuff and Rich's stories there as well. With Geocities gone it's a good thing I backed everything up because now it's gone, gone, gone. I suppose all that counts. |
