I think we've decided that it's going to be a mix of Halo Reach, and ZT2. |

Of course, the natural concern with such a diversity in the aesthetics of such a combination of source material is with the professionalism of the final piece. There is absolutely no arguing the astronomical difference in graphics quality between the two games, so my educated opinion is that we keep the project rooted to either Halo Reach or Zoo Tycoon 2, and not both. That, however, is nothing to do with plot and can be discussed in later posts. In terms of the development of a script, I feel we should not go in a military direction with the project, but instead take a more intellectually high-brow route. Perhaps a film which questions the ethical qualities of the human race involving genetic mutation and the moral issues of such a practice? Discuss. |

An ethical route can become cliche but it's 2010...pretty much every idea in that subject has already been at least concieved at some point so we can go with that... But I've got a completely different suggestion... Dreams... Hows a bout this... Really toned down plot: When you dream or have nightmares you are actually suspended into another plain of existance where there is both good...and evil... Creatures that live in this world that create lovely happy dreams...and dark collectors that spawn what we have so elequiently coined...nightmares... Yeah, that seems pretty lame and and a bit corny but I can see that going places...but maybe not in these games...so this is a backburner idea...so ignore that one if you wish and only think of it when out of ideas... PLOT Numero Dos It's the year 2087 and cloning is completely normal. Everybody has a clone, but they're more than just clones....they're second bodies. These clones have been surgically implanted with a specialized and very futuristic technology that allows the host human to live on after "death" or in this modified body... These people using these clones are still alive but are kept in specialized facilities where they are being cryogenically 'stored'... Originally this practice was created and used for those with terminal illnesses, those with physical or mental disabilities, and so forth...But now people have branched outside those lines and are using these clones as their meat-puppets, living out their lives almost as if it were some sort of roleplay game... But there's a catch...the clones have to have a viable brain for the technology to work in the system...meaning, the clone has to already be an individual... That's when things get complicated... Occassionally clone's brain-clamps may break allowing them to gain control or, an even rarer phenomina, they themselves gain enough will-power to out compete their controller... -This plot needs work but that's the background anyway... PLOT Number 3 A bit off the above topic but in this instance clones are being used as essentially slaves for military reasons, harvesting reasons, so on and soforth... PLOT Number 4 Overflow: Earth is full, there's way to many people and there's not enough space and there's not enough resources to distribute evenly if at all... -This is more of a plot starter if anything... That's all I have for the moment... |

I think plot #4 would be the easiest to work with. I like the Idea anyway. |

Ah, it would be interesting, but the problem would no doubt occur during the process of truly understanding the major viewpoints. Once that would be done we would have to nigh divine the outcome of either opinion and the actual necesitty of such scientific practices. But I say we go with this idea, the issue is to make sure that the characters are driven by more then just their favor/opposition to this, they must also be driven by their overall moral beliefs and personality, the value they place on human life. Though we should be careful to avoid any and all major political issues (I.E, whether abortion is right or wrong, whether war is.) If we steer clear of these issues then we'll have no issues. |

Plot #5 We fought for our lives. Only a few made it out alive. When we jumped to a abandonded colony, we were suspicous of the lack of transmissions. We met a group of surviving eites, that were not hostile. But we never understood them. However, upon leaving thier giant metal fortress we learn whythey grunted at us. A greenish male, in spartan armor ran at us, wielding a energy sword. He roared at us. We had to shoot him. He had no blood, or any bodily organs. under hsi armor was rotten, dismangled flesh. The elites won't open the doors either...... |
