if Nintendo were to make a movie based on Mario, how would it be like? would it work out or be a total fail? why? perhaps it's better off as gaming series but it depends. If it was to be done properly, it might even be successful! what are your thoughts?

anime style movie, or even a live action one? which one would turn out better?

A mario movie was already made, it was a complete fail and now Nintendo will let no one else make any other media on their series.

Wait, wait, what? Has Nintendo produced a movie about Mario? How's this possible? Could you share with us its trailer or anything related to it? I am so surprised.
Personally, I believe that it would be great if Nintendo could produce a special movie, with Mario characters and popular actors. In addition, I am not so keen on Anime Style, that's why I think that it would be far better with real actors. Imagine how many people would watch it. However, it is a bit impossible for Nintendo to do something like this and make it successful. Nowadays, investing on a movie and spending a huge amount of money will not certainly help you to gain more bucks.

I think it's been proven that a live action movie would not work out.

I remember watching that movie.

But I heard rumor that somebody was going to make a Mario Movie. Of course, that's usually what a rumor is.....just a rumor. Someone could have just started that to stir up all the Mario fans. But I remember the way that movie ended. It left it kind of open for another movie.

Nintendo should do something anime with one of their series, but since Mario is something based on little story that could be hard.

a paper mario anime could work since most games come with a good storyline.

Wasn't there an OVA that was only released in Japan in the 80's?

Anyway, I would like to see another Mario movie (or show), either done Paper Mario style as others have suggested or using CGI to make it look similar to the games.

They've made much more than a live-action movie.
Super Hornio Bros., anyone?

What do you mean Nintendo won't let anyone make other media on their series?

According to the January Nintendo investor meeting, taken directly from someone else's post: "Nintendo has expressed a willingness to expand character-licensing deals as well as doing more collaborations with third-party developers."

That can mean anything, I admit, but Nintendo's windows AREN'T closed here.

On one of my last days of school I won a gift voucher for doing something good in some art lesson or science or whatever. Straight after school I went into town to look in the shop I just won a voucher for, and what do I see? The Super Mario Bros. Movie, I immediately bought it, went home and watched it. It was ok.

Anyway, that's my Mario Bros. Movie story.
