I'm thinking about seeing it, but have not decided yet. It was beaten by Rio over the weekend in terms of box office.

I'd go see it. Rio eh? ehhh :p You can't compare the two really. Rio is a kids movie, more parents are gonna be taking their kids to see Rio then Scream 4. :p

idk about scream. It doesn't look like a really good horror movie, though I never really have seen a scream movie before. Maybe I'll give this one a chance. :)

I know... but Ihave mixed feelings about this. To me Scream isn't really a horror movie, but more like "trying to scare you" type movie. The same goes for Friday 13th and Halloween - IMO.

See... to me Scream is not really a horror movie cause there's no "real" ghost, it's just like some stupid person dressing up in black robe and put on a mask and terrorize you for whatever reason.

Wow you people missed the point of Scream. Its a tribute to old Slasher movies, thats the point of it. Its ment to point out all of the cliches of old Slasher films like Friday the 13th, and Halloween. Its not serious at all, thats why they make rules for surviving and all of the dialoge is horror movie refrences.

^ I know... but I just get tired of it personally sometimes, a little variation may be good.

Ok, I just saw this movie last night, and this is my mini review on it:

Synopsis: The original character Sydney Prescott returns to Woodsboro to promote her book, which coincide with the 15th anniversary of the Town's massacre. On that same day, two girls from Woodsboro High School were also brutally murdered and the whole massacre started all over again - by the mysterious ghost face masked killer.

Pros: it was nice to see some of the old characters returned to the movie, such as police officer Dewey Riley and reporter Gale Weathers Riley. There was also a little nice twist (surprise) in the movie.

Cons: Same old story, different characters (younger) involved. More comedic than tragic in my opinion.

Grade: C

Recommended: maybe (if you are a hardcore Scream fan), then go see it. If not, just wait for the DVD.
