So lately I've been trying to avoid the biased review websites and whatnot.
What do you guys think is the most biased website? I think I have to say Metacritic.

How is Metacritic biased? All they do is post the average scores for games/movies/etc.

Well, maybe I shouldn't have said it straight-up. I just always had a feeling it was, for some reason it seems to me that they're biased towards the PS3 and favoritism the Xbox 360. But I like both anyway.
Also,my friends and I were talking about it yesterday and they seem to agree.

Once again, that's just how the averages play out. Some companies will give a different score to a game based on its platform, because some parts of the game are better on a particular console. For example, Final Fantasy XIII looks a hell of a lot better on the PS3 than it does on the 360, and the PS3 version comes all on one disc, as opposed to three discs for the 360 version. The PS3 version of the game has a better average score in part due to that. Likewise, the 360 version of Skyrim was superior to the PS3 version, since the PS3 version has been horrendously bogged down by glitches and bugs up the wazoo (not to say the 360 version hasn't, but it's far more prevalent in the PS3 version).

So it's not really "bias" on the part of Metacritic. They're just taking the averages of the scores given, and if one console has a better average than the other, then it's not really Metacritic's problem.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Sorry for bump but...

I just check reviews for functionality, not what others think.
I used to be into reviews until I came across rotten Tomatoes. I hate that site.
It takes true visionary skills and comprehension to be a critic and too many people are hired who lack that in my opinion.

Game journalism itself is a complete joke. There's basically no 'true visionary skills and comprehension' required to get into the game journalism industry; all it takes is a note from the publisher saying 'Hey, we're going to put these ads on your site/in your magazine, and you'll give it a glowing review, mkay?'

At least with other forms of media, critics actually seem to know what they're talking about (for the most part, anyway).
