That's the second time that I've had to correct myself. I'm not paying much attention to what I'm typing, but I edited it. Oi...

I've never loved or been loved.

/foreveralone

I've only really had two crushes. The first was my crazy infatuation with a guy in high school and the second was a Uni friend who I was quite close to and all our friends were certain we'd get together... until he started dating some other chick (and is still doing so after 2-3 years).

My love life sucks, I'm focusing on my career. :(

you've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?
I hate talking about this mushy-gushy shit because that's not really my jam, but I'm bored so here goes.

First girl I ever loved was when I was 16 or 17. We met through some mutual friends and dated for about six months. In retrospect I feel like I had Stockholm Syndrome with her or something because I treated her as best I could while I was really treated pretty shabbily in return. In the end she dumped me for some tool, which hit me extremely hard. I've had bad trust issues and anxiety ever since. I couldn't really maintain a steady relationship for the rest of high school.

Fast forward a couple years, though, and I met my current girlfriend. We met at our college orientation and, well, stuff happened that might sound typical of a one-night-stand story (though things didn't progress that far that night), but here we are close to three years later and we're still going strong. At this point next year, we'll have graduated college, possibly be prepping for grad school, looking for an apartment together, and if all goes well, we'll be in the early stages of planning a wedding.

It's kind of funny when you look back on things, when you remember how you started out and then you picture where it winds up going.

It seems as though people take love for granted these days. The thing is...having a crush is one thing, but actually being in love with someone is completely different. To be in love is to think about that person often. To wish to actually be with that person (unless you're already with that person). The feeling hits you hard when you actually fall in love with someone. It's probably one of the strongest feelings in the world...

You're right about people taking love for granted, I think you're one of the worst offenders.
EVERYTHING you've described as "love" sounds like a crush. How do I know? I've had crushes before, and their EXACTLY that.

I've never been in love before though, so I guess I can't exactly describe what "love" is. I just imagine to be in love you have to know the person you're in love with very well, and they have to know a lot about you. And you probably discover it while you're actually together.

like i said though ive nuber been in love so idunno.

Love is when you and your significant other are comfortable enough to fart around each other.

would it not be a crush if it's completely one-sided? :r

When I see 'crush', I think puppy love. Like...you find them cute or something like that. This...well...it's hitting me a lot harder. This is much MUCH stronger. It's as I described before. I really am in love. I've never EVER felt this strongly about a person before. It's one of those things that you have to experience for yourself to really understand.
