That's kind of mean of Nintendo to add her but not daisy :P
I've seen a few people say similar things but I tend to disagree, and the main reason is because even though Rosalina hasn't been in the series as long as Daisy, her character is far more fleshed out. In her first game they fleshed out her personality and a backstory, whereas Daisy has only had a small handful of platformer appearances and in them she was nothing more than a damsel in distress / object / obtainable / etc. All her other cameos were in some sort of party game.

As it stands at the moment, Daisy is just a 'nothing' character because all her qualities can be encapsulated in Peach. Most literature people would suggest removing her completely because she adds nothing more than another face to choose from. On the other hand, people like Rosalina because she is essentially the most human character in the series, and in terms of narrative and even gameplay development, she actually has many unique characteristics that can be played off.

This doesn't mean that Daisy should never be given her time to shine but at the moment she doesn't offer anything other than a slightly worse tempered Peach, and I don't see why she should be favoured over a comparatively more interesting character like Rosalina even if she has been around longer.

Something about Mario in crossovers?
Well, I'd rather have Daisy then Rosalina.

Ich Bin Grammar Nazi.

Do you have any reason for that, Monon?

If Rosalina's playable, I should definitely start looking into this more. I've been despising the thought of this game since E3, but it may have some redeemable qualities to look at.

Honestly, I thought her background story was cheesy, and in Kart, she was irritating(to me.) I just wish they would use their spinoff characters more. (Even though I'm sure Land isn't classified as a "spinoff".)

good points, but Daisy, wario, luigi and waluigi all hold so much back story potential they could be as popular as Rosalina if Nintendo took some time to give them proper spotlight.

Meh
Well wario is given tons of spotlight. He starred in the really fun wario land series, not to mention all the warioware games. Waluigi and daisy need personalities before they deserve games, to be honest. Each character is basically a palette swap of wario and peach respectively, and nothing outside of physical appearance ever really sets them apart. They're party game characters to swell the numbers, and nintendo seems content to keep them like that.

Aaaaaand reviews are out. The game is getting perfect scores all over the place. This game has moved from uncertainty to a must buy, for me at least.

I wish I could afford this game. I'll definitely get it eventually. Unfortunately it comes out on the same day as 3 other games including Zelda ALBW and Mario Party. It would be great to be made of money. It is nice to see the Wii U's line up firing up though.

I might get it next year if the price is good. A perfect scoring mario game will no doubt remain pricey.

I fear we'll never get another challenging Mario game, not till there is some staff changes.

That's exactly it. We need a staff change that'll tend to the older fan base as well as the childish fan base. All it is now is the "New Super Mario __________" and it's all the same kind of thing. All the same difficulty, just different levels. It's all because of Miyamoto. Now that he won't be working on the next batch of Mario games we may get some fun, appropriately difficult games.

My thoughts so far:

Watch out, it's paragraphs.

Also on the topic of all Mario games being too easy nowadays, It's pretty much been like that since the 64, lol. I mean there are exceptions, but they're never really all that challenging.

I don't get why you're pinning all this shit on Miyamoto btw, he's one guy on the whole team making the game. I'm convinced that him being there only makes the game better since he's made so many great games in the past. I really don't want him to stop working on Mario. The games probably wont get any "harder" [doesn't seem like their priority, anyway], they might just end up being worse.

I can't speak for galaxy games, but things were still hard in mario 64 and sunshine. Now a days the levels are simple and if you fail too much they give you a invincible suit. I've gone back and played super mario world just a few weeks ago and I had some trouble beating a few stages unlike todays mario world.

from what I understand, Miyamoto killed sticker star and has lead the game on a endless same thing repeat. He's good, but I think he's gone soft and easy with his old age. He gave us the lost worlds aka the true SMB2, lets have another from him then.
