KROGAN FACT SHEET

Introduction:

The Krogan Heirachy has adapted to suit whatever situation the Krogan people are currently in. In the begining the Krogans were an unorganised rabble of highly trained warriors who followed the most experianced man till he died. When times were prosperous they had a chain-of-command as was the Neo-Mercenary Movement. When times were relaxed, with the ever looming threat of conflict, unofficial ranks were held and then utilized when needed. The ability to quickly form organised ranks upon demand is what contributed to the success of the Krogans in historical conflict. However unlike other militaries rank does not hold significance over culture and or practice. If a Lieutenant of a Systems Alliance Platoon gets shot, The platoon panics as leadership is thrust upon someone else. When a Krogan Officer unlikely falls in combat, Another well trained and fully capable person is ready to continue leading all those around him towards the common goal.

Chain of Command:

l

Gest'uuran (Captain)

l

Sma'sker. (Lieutenant)

l

Ge'smas'ker (Sergeant)

l

Gest'uliik:

Chiefmen are the toughest of Krogans, they are the best in each legion and have shown unparalleled skill and courage when it comes to combat. The threat of facing a Krogan in combat is enough to shrink someone inside of their boots, but the thought of engaging a Krogan Commander in combat is a suicidal thought.

These tough and rigorous veterans possess an intimate knowledge of tactics, battle and the Krogan way of life. No other Mandalorian possesses the skill of a Commander; these Commanders in The Gest'uliik's eyes are the epitome of what it means to be a true warrior and they are the most efficient and adept of Krogan Warriors, hand picked by Gest'uliik himself.

Krogan Legends tell of a darkened trial in which Krogan Commanders must face in order to ascertain their potential as a Commander. Prospective Captains who wish to advance are required take a trip to a range of planets such as Eden Prime and Omega where they are forced to endure and survive an unthinkable trial of wits, skill and bravery - Few have made such a trip and few have conquered such a test.

Gest'uuran (Captain):

Captains are veterans and highly trained soldiers in the Krogan Ranks; these expert soldiers lead a company of Krogan Protectors and are deemed to be the most wise, expert and knowledgeable in their field of combat, second to Commanders. An excellent front-line commander, Captains possess outstanding leadership abilities. Captains fill the void from Officer to General.

As highly trained officers they are experts in every field of combat and have a vast knowledge of tactics and stratergy, They understand the Krogan culture and philosophy better than anyone below them.

Sma'sker. (Lieutenant):

The Krogan Lieutenant is the core officer in the Krogan Army, They are trained to handle weapons and how to fight like a Krogan, They are taught the lifestyle of Krogan culture and history aswell as philosophy. The Lieutenant is of average combat skill in Krogan eyes, They are trained to shoot straight and to kill efficently with a blade aswell as the tricks of trade in terms of Krogan combat.

The Lieutenant learns by watching those around him and is given the best training available. This is also the rank where advanced training begins.

(Sergeants also are the same, But command less Soldiers and are Less experianced.)

Ul'shik (Warrior):

Ul'shik or 'warriors' in basic are the best of Krogans who have recently been recruited. These Krogans have shown a desired familiarity with Krogan Philosophy and training, they have been selected by Krogan Captains to undergo rigorous training to the rank of Ge'smas'ker where they will fight on the front lines and the defensive lines of the Krogan territories.

Typically, a Ul'shik is trained by a relative or someone close to him/her - This tradition is maintained but with the sense that Ul'shik pick a senior officer or a relative in the Krogan Tribes to train with or to come under their wing.

Tri'tor (Tribesman):

A Tri'tor is a young Krogan who is accepted into the Krogan Army. As a recruit they are taught the basics of soldiering and how to be a good Krogan, mostly from a young age. As they near maturity and eventually pass it, They are given the initation test which tests what they have learnt and how well they understand the culture along with their performance in combat, if satisfactory they are granted the title of Ul'shik and are placed under the tutelage of an officer or an officer-relative. Krogan recruits recieve the same suit of armour the Warriors do, except it is crafted from the cheap metal Iron, where as Warrior armour is crafted from Efficent Titatanium Alloy.
