Time's up.

Sarah walked over, quiet. She wasn't sure what to do, but hated to see Tiamat like that.

Roll had heard people say this all too many times before--and it had begun to be really irritating to her. Yes, she had a dark history with Dr. Coda--yes, she now wielded the blade she nearly killed her brother with--but it was as if everyone treated her like a stranger, unable to recognize her as the same person. "I know it was a terrible time for all of us, guys, but I should wear this scar with pride...neither of us are enjoying it, but at least I'm not so weak anymore..."

"If you don't enjoy it, why do you continue to do it?" Magnet Man asked, his voice carrying a mix of anger and sorrow.

"This is why women should never have been sent to do men's jobs..." Hard Man muttered.

"It pains us to see you like this, Roll!" "It didn't matter about combat..." "It's never even crossed our minds before!"

Roll was tired of hearing about everyone crying over her. I mean, everyone else here had been like that before, too...what makes me any different? This is the best way I can help...right...? Overall, Roll was getting exhausted with everyone lamenting "the Roll of the past" when she was standing right in front of them.
Roll began to tremble with her sorrow and frustration, unsure which she felt more towards the robots. "What are you guys trying to say here? That I was better off being weak and helpless...that I was better as your pathetic housemaid...?!" Anyone could see that she was close to crying at this point.

"Yes."

Everyone stared in horror at the person who said that- Snake Man. How dare he do something like that!

"You were better as a pathetic housemaid who cared for every single one of us, who showed everyone complete love and compassion, who never even batted an eyelash when we came home nearly seventeen years ago, humiliated by our own cousin, and treated us like nothing ever happened... but I realize now we aren't doing the same to you." He came over to Roll, and hugged her tightly. "So, I will try my best to change that."

Everyone then realized their own mistake. "You're right... It just didn't feel right, you being gone for so long, and coming back with the sword..." Magnet Man said quietly. "But Snake Man is right. I'm sorry for doubting you, Roll. I'm sorry for everything..." Every other robot nodded, each agreeing to Magnet Man's statement.

"We're all sure you'll do fine. And whenever you need help, just call one of us. I promise you, we will make sure you'll be safe," Top Man said.

Roll had never felt more furious when Snake-Man initially spoke. But that anger quickly turned to relief when he explained that regardless of all that had happened, she always had a family she could turn to--and that was perhaps the best thing she'd heard since Mega Man had told her he trusted her.
And sure enough, Roll began to cry--but everyone there could tell it was not because she was sad. Over-saturated with good feelings for her family, her tears were those of happiness.
"Y--you have no idea how much I needed to hear that..." were all the words Roll could find to say. After spending so many months surrounded by people resentful of the actions she didn't have control over, to finally have someone else to depend on was just what she needed. "Well...I guess you'd better prepare to be sent in."

"Yes, right. Come on, guys."

They all headed into the teleporter room. The Third Rebellion bots were sent in first; then most of the DOS bots; and finally Volt Man and the Genesis Unit. Each robot from the Third Robot Rebellion all wished Roll luck.

"We'll see you in a day!" "Remember to drag Tornado Man along with you!" "Goodbye, Roll!"

Finally, thet were all gone, sent into a terribly confusing world which could be in Wily's grasp any second...

Unbeknownst to Sarah or Tiamat, the computer moniter flicked on. A familiar voice came out.

Vestra.EXE: Oww, my heeeeaaad...

Countless explosions riveted Vestra's city. Every single Wily bot had invaded (even though the 10th wasn't sent in), and Light's bots were clearly losing.

Casualties were mounting; Light's forces knew they had to retreat... but when?

"We're not retreating," Dive Man said defiantly. Gravity Man also didn't cede. He wouldn't leave unless the other did.

Just when Light needed help, the Third Rebellion, the DOS bots, and the Genesis unit poured into the city. "Move, move, move! We have to find out what is going on, fast!" They spread out, eager to kill someone.

Tiamat: V... Vestra?!
Vestra.EXE: Not so loud... Ow...I feel like I have a hangover...
Sarah: Dying does that.

There they go...and I can't wait to go after them. For the first time in what felt like ages, Roll wore a smile on her face. She went down the hallway to her recharging station--which was essentially the robotic equivalent of a bedroom. After plugging herself into the wall, Roll sat down against the wall, and slowly dozed off into sleep mode, half-leaning on Virus for support.

After what seemed like an unusually long ride, Heart-Man was outside what he could only guess was Wily's Outpost.
He had two options here: Be dumb and brash and charge right in, or try and be sneaky about it. Obviously, Heart-Man liked one of these options a lot better. With this in mind, he prowled the grounds, looking for a way in that was less...obvious...than the front door. How do I get in?

???: Need help?

A fox, female, with grey fur, black vest and skirt, black hair that covered one eye, and a rather powerful looking pistol was right next to Heart Man.

Heart-Man, a little annoyed at the sound of another fox's voice, whirled around--to see that this was not one of the foxes he was familiar with.
Whether they were better or worse, though, Heart-Man could not be certain.
"Help? Well, I thought I was supposed to do this mission alone, but help isn't a bad thing. I'm looking for a way into this building. One of my allies is captured inside of here, and I sent myself to save him. How good are you at not being caught?"

Tei smirked.

Tei: Given that I'm an assassin, pretty damn good. Well, ex-assassin, anyways.

"An assassin, you say? Funny, it seems all the bio-forms in this world could kill me, but choose not to.
"Either way, you sound like a real help. Right now, I'm looking for a way in--from my knowledge, the guy who typically builds these sort of fortresses guide the front entrance with more defenses than you can shake a plasma gun at. If we can find another way in, however, I bet it won't be near-as-well defended."
Heart-Man continued to look at the Outpost, wondering just how he could get in. He knew climbing onto the roof probably wasn't an option...so where else could he find an entrance?

Time's up.

Tei thought for a bit.

Tei: It's a bit of a tough fit, but a fortress of that size tends to produce plenty of energy, and thus plenty of heat. We need to find a large air duct.

"That's a good thought, actually. Now all we have to do is find something like that..." Heart-Man slowly circled around the Outpost, trying not to attract any attention. He knew he was probably being monitored, but whether or not he'd be attacked was another story--so he needed to find an air duct before someone saw him.

Tei: Up there- Huh, I don't think you'll fit. I can, give me a sec.

Tei ran, then ran up the wall and dove into the vent silently.

Heart-Man whistled lowly. No human he knew could do that, and even then, most robots probably couldn't. Perhaps there was more to these humanoid bio-forms than he thought.
Well, he hadn't really been left with a choice--Heart-Man waited behind a wall for his new friend to come back.

Time's up.

A while later, a plasma torch cut a hole in the wall large enough for Heart Man to get in. Tei waved to him.

Tei: Over here.
