Tei remained on the ceiling, still waiting patiently. Meanwhile, back at the ranch... Tiamat: Well, they're all attacking the city now... Vestra.EXE: Damn it! I can't access the citie's defences! At least the house is fully operational at least, so we're safe... |

Seconds later, Heart-Man was sliding down a ladder, firing at a Metool that was chasing him. They were fragile, but they were plentiful--no way could he fight them off, he needed to get out. He kept dashing down the ladders, praying the crowd of enemies wouldn't overwhelm him. |

Bright Man grabbed Heart Man's arm, and flung him up to a large window sill. "Cut through the glass! We can escape like that!" Luckily, they were on ground level, so at least the jump wouldn't be too bad. Bright Man checked the moon. "1 a.m... Man, time really flies. Cut through, quick!" |

Heart-Man didn't want to waste his time switching weapons in the heat of combat. So he just took his Welding Fist and half-punched, half-melted his way through the glass. "C'mon, everyone!" He shouted as loudly as he could, and dove out of the window and ran for safety. He took a look at the Moon that greeted him outside. Wow, I must've been in there a long time... |

They were all hidden in a forest, where the enemies couldn't find them. It had a great view of Vestra's city. "Man, look at it down there..." Explosions kept popping up from every street, with most of them in the center. "Must be terrible fighting down there. Wily sent everyone." |

"I'm aware. Gosh, it must've taken him a long time to rebuild all of them...I wonder why he wants this world so badly...Well, I guess I'd better get down there. Regardless of who's winning, Light-bots are gonna be downed left and right." Heart-Man sprinted off towards the battlefield, switching his Plasma Pistol back to a normal hand. "See you later!" |

The turrets of the house helped keep the enemies away from the house, as did the shields. |

The three robots simply sat there, awkwardly. "Uh... Did he forget about Wind Man's leg?" "Already patched up. Come on, let's get moving!" The robots dashed off, heading torwards the city. (Since a day has somewhat passed, I think Roll should be able to leave... after all, the time zones could be different.) |

(You're plotting something for her already, aren't you? And yes, a day has passed in essence, but I'm going to keep them on the same clock for simplicity's sake.) Heart-Man dashed down towards the city, as quickly as he could run. He needed to get there fast, then find a safe perch where he could swoop down, grab a robot, and repair them quickly...which definitely wasn't going to be easy, as he saw fighting everywhere. As Heart-Man neared the city, he decided he should at least have some altitude, so he could perhaps fire down at Wily robots as support. With some difficulty, he climbed up onto one of the roofs of a building he could only hope was stable. |

Wave Man, Blade Man, and Oil Man (All DOS) had climbed the same building in hopes of occupying it. They were just about to reach the 37th floor out of 40 floors, when a dull explosion was heard. Suddenly, glass shattered all around, and Spark Man laid there, badly injured and deactivated. "Damn... We can't even get past Wily's first defenses," Blade Man remarked sourly. "Wait till Roll hears about this- four Third Rebellion bots, and it's only 1:30," Oil Man said. "If we bring him up to the roof, we could repair him," Wave Man said. "Good idea. Let's move." The three carried the oddly beeping body up a few more floors. |

Heart-Man heard a wrenching explosion close nearby, and he nearly fell over at the sound. No fight, not even when Mega Man had destroyed Fire Wall, had been this destructive...Heart-Man was coming to find the Wily robots more and more dangerous all the time. He saw some primitive-looking robots coming up the stairs...and they were carrying Spark-Man. Well, he could only guess they were friendlies. He dashed over to them quickly, switching to his Welding Fist at once. "What are the damages?" (Yeah, Heart-Man didn't have the time to study the DOS unit. Too obscure a subject for him to find a lot of info.) |

"There was some minor exterior damage, but there's this beeping inside of him... Hold on, I'll take a look." Blade Man pulled out his weapon, and carefully sliced open Spark Man's abdomen. When he saw his power core, his eyes widened as if he'd seen a ghost. "Shi-" Spark Man suddenly exploded, sending Blade Man flying off the roof and flinging shrapnel into Wave Man, Oil Man, and Heart Man. |

(I knew it, I knew it was a bomb!) Heart-Man put up his arms in defense, and was able to get away from the blast without too much damage. That was a dirty, underhanded move. And not only did this mean someone knew he was working for the good guys--so they had to make sure they really destroyed a robot--there was someone on the Wily side that was able to fight and was an exceptional engineer. And Heart-Man liked neither of these facts. "You guys had better go find him...bring him back to me if he needs repairs. That is, if he's not a bomb, too." Heart-Man muttered to the two other units. He walked to the edge of the building, and--true to his thoughts--switched his right arm to his Plasma Pistol and started firing at what he thought were Wily units. |

Harpoons and a few regular buster shots suddenly came flying from an adjacent building. A harpoon struck Wave Man in the back, sending him flying down the stairwell. "Take that, you name stealer!" someone shouted out. They continued coming out, and the figures came into view (somewhat). One of them looked rather portly, while another had an eerie white helmet in the shape of a skull... |

Uh-oh. Harpoons. And that could only mean one of two Robots was walking alongside the skull Robot. And Heart-Man didn't really like either of them. Heart-Man was a little surprised to see Skull-Man on the Wily side, but he was ordered for construction by Wily, so it was only fitting...he could only wonder why he'd betray Dr. Light, though. He knew he'd be spotted if he remained on the roof, so Heart-Man jumped off the side of the building. Carefully gripping the wall with his Welding Fist, he descended at a slow pace, hoping to at least catch the two by surprise. |

"All right... We've got problems..." Dive Man looked worriedly up at the clock: 3:30. The reinforcements were supposed to arrive; where were they? "This isn't going to end well..." |

Heart-Man eventually reached the base of the building--it had taken a while, but he still might be able to get a decent ambush. Now that he was closer, he could definitely see that the other figure was Wave-Man. He should've guessed that when he shouted "take that, name-stealer." Heart-Man quietly switched to his Circle Saw, and got ready to spring on his opponents... |

"Hmm... Looks like we sent that guy running. Ha! Send in the endgame." Skull Man pressed a button on his buster, and a few seconds later, large green meteors flew down on the previously occupied building, completely leveling it. It was unknown whether or not Oil Man escaped. "Let's get moving to the front. They might need us there," Skull Man said as they turned around, right into- "Oh, great..." Both slowly put up their hands. They knew they were easy targets, being so close to him. |

Well, he had succeeded in surprising them. Now it was time for a little banter. "Well, well, well...what do we have here? Wave-Man...Rebellion Five, right? You aren't that great a jumper either, as I recall. And Skull-Man...I can't believe you. We gave you every chance to redeem yourself from being a Wily Robot...but you just kept sinking back to this level. No matter, though..." Heart-Man shifted his nurse cap. "You'll both make nice little dissection projects!" With that, he quickly raised his Circle Saw and aimed a powerful slash at Skull-Man--better to hit him before he had his barrier up. |

Oil spewed out of the gash left from the slice. Skull Man staggered back, furious at Heart Man. "All right, you little..." He aimed his buster right at Heart Man's head, but shot just a tad too high. He hit his nurse cap off instead. "You have no idea what it's like to be built alone!" he yelled angrily. "You have no idea what it's like to be shunned by everyone- your brothers, your allies, even your own creator! I'll show you what it is, you overconfident little prick!" Wave Man, meanwhile, managed to escape from the stairwell. He stopped, suddenly, and hit himself on the head. "What are you thinking? Now is no time to be a coward..." He hid behind the doorway, waiting for his perfect time to strike. |
