Vestra.EXE: Tiamat, you got to get your family out of here, it's too dangerous. Tiamat: If we leave, they'll kill us! Vestra.EXE: Not if we take my ship. Tiamat: You have a ship? Vestra.EXE: Duh. |

Heart-Man knew this would be difficult--not physically, but mentally. Skull-Man was just the sort of person who would use mind-games--when's he gonna use Skull Barrier? When's he gonna attack? When's he gonna try and make you feel sorry for him? Luckily, Heart-Man knew how to respond to this comment. "You are not alone, Skull-Man, and you never have been. You have had Ring-Man alongside you all along--he was built to kill Mega Man too, was he not? "Now, before I tear you limb-from-limb, I give you one more chance--" Heart-Man switched his Plasma Pistol back to an arm, and extended it towards Skull-Man. "Come back with us and help us end this menace...or die." |

"You expect me to fall? Ha! I could take plenty of shots from that puny arm cannon." "And Ring Man wasn't like me. I was purely hated by Cossack because of my mere appearance! He could accept Ring Man, he wasn't a perfect embodiement of death! I am, and that has brought me criticism from every angle. I will never join back with you traitors. And, by the way-" he suddenly came right up to Heart Man's ear- "you missed one." Wave Man fired a harpoon, piercing Heart Man's side. |

Vestra.EXE: The ship is strong enough to withhold most attacks. Get to it, and get to a safe place. Also... Find Sebek. Tiamat: I will find him, I promise. Sarah: What should we do about your, um, body? Vestra.EXE: I have a cyrogenic freezing pod in the lab somewhere, it goes in there. Sarah nodded, picked up Vestra's body, and put it in the cyro pod, which sealed up. Vestra.EXE: Alright, good luck, and godspeed. Tiamat got Belazure, the three went into the basement and onto Vestra's ship, and the driveway opened up, and Tiamat flew the ship out. |

Heart-Man heard the shot, but he was too slow--the harpoon punched through the left side of his torso, revealing more weak areas underneath his armor. He would have to fix that after he was done. But all Heart-Man did at the time was smirk. "See, Skull-Man, this is why no one likes you. Not because you're a symbol of death, not because you were built by Wily, but because you're a backstabbing lowlife. Yes, I gave you the opportunity to redeem yourself--I was going to let you live--and I betrayed you? I laugh at the notion. "Look around, Skull-Man! If Wily hates you, and I certainly hate you now, you have no friends! You choose to let your negative symbol consume you, and that is about to lead to your downfall. I am Heart-Man--the spirit of healing and kindness--and I extended my good fortune and good symbol to you. But you have, in your anger, swatted it away. And I may regret what I am about to do, but it is for the good of all--I'll break you into so many pieces, no one will see you until the next Rebellion." Without hesitation, he grabbed Skull-Man's shoulder with his hand, doing his best to lock him in place. "Oh--and next time, don't touch my cap." Heart-Man quickly swiped forward with his Circle Saw, hoping to damage Skull-Man once again. |

This time, a part of Skull Man's helmet was sliced. "If you act this way, you will never be the spirit of healing and kindness!" Skull Man shouted, clutching his helmet. Some odd liquid was pouring out of it. He was angry to see it was water- tears. He, the one with a steely expression, had dropped a tear? "It's clear I can't beat you, and yet you decide to torture me- with the truth!" he yelled, sobbing. "I've been living an empty exsistence for 12 years! No one has or ever will care... No one..." he sighed. He stared at the floor, watching the carpet be stained with something he'd never seen from his own eyes. Wave Man stood there, looking forlorn. "I can't believe you. You say you're the embodiement of kindness, yet you make one of the toughest and most ruthless people cry? You say you're the embodiement of healing, yet you open some of the most painful wounds ever inflicted on that robot? What the hell is wrong with you?" he said angrily. "He was programmed like that, you thoughtless jerk! He's never loved because no one loves him- do you know how bad that would make you feel? And they say we're the bad guys... I don't see why Gravity Man pulled you out of that factory- you obviously didn't deserve it." He said the last bit with pure hate coming from his mouth. |

Heart-Man opened his mouth and was about to deny all they said as more of a mindgame--but then he stopped suddenly. Wave-Man was right about two things. A; it certainly wasn't very kind of him for him to do something like that. B; Skull-Man needed to be shown respect before he started giving it. Yes, he could be walking into a trap, and if he was, it would cost him his life. But Heart-Man would rather spend several months watching himself get reassembled than lose a life on the job. So, brooding carefully on it, he carefully chose a new set of words: "Yes, I am aware that was far from a kind thing to do. But sometimes, a doctor must cause pain to make the healing possible." With that, he walked past Wave-Man, focusing his attention on Skull-Man. Luckily, he didn't look too badly damaged. Setting his free arm on Skull-Man's shoulder to make sure he wouldn't flee, Heart-Man carefully switched to his Scalpel--a tool he had only used for human operations before. "Don't cry, Skull-Man, this is for your own good." Heart-Man carefully traced along the edge of Skull-Man's cracked helmet, then carefully cut along the edges, removing it from what he could only hope was a genuine sad, lonely soul inside. As cracking the helmet had cracked his violent demeanor, he could only hope cutting all of it off would remove it completely. When Heart-Man was finished, he switched his Scalpel to a normal hand again. "Please, take off your helmet. I would like to know your face." |

Skull Man glanced at him from one eye. He had never shown anyone his face- not even his 'brothers'. Showing a complete stranger would be out of the question- normally. But perhaps it would help. Carefully pulling off the parts, he reaveled a pale, forlon face. His eyes were a dark red, his hair a short, blonde combover. He had dark black shadows under his eyes, and his mouth was crooked into a sad frown. He wore an expression of loneliness. "I... I don't understand..." he said sadly. "Never before has anyone cared about what was behind this helmet- all they saw was hate and revenge. Why would anyone care now?" |

It didn't take long for Heart-Man to register that he had been absolutely right--Skull-Man was far from evil, just misunderstood. Patching up his mental wounds would take a long time, but it was far better than tearing him down again. He was having a difficult time figuring out just why--but he knew he definitely wanted to help Skull-Man. "Well, to start, it's probably been a long time since even you have seen your face." Heart-Man switched to his Circle Saw--but not to swipe forward with it. He held it out in front of Skull-Man, letting him see his own reflection. "It's clear that you aren't in the best of health..." |

He took a long look at his own face. Was this what had happened over the years? Was all the anger and hatred he spewed to blame? Skull Man put his hand to his chin. "Hmm... I never noticed this, but I look an awful lot like that Coda person..." he muttered. He rose from the gound, and breathed a heavy sigh. He stared over at the clock: 4:20. How did that take up so much time? "I hadn't seen what was behind that helmet in a very long time... I never realized all the pain and suffering I caused made so much of a difference; I figured I had just brushed it off." Skull Man took a look at the destroyed building to his left. He glanced back at Heart Man and Wave Man. Then he jumped. He landed on his feet, and dove into the rubble. |

(Um...I didn't think we were on top of a building, but whatever.) Heart-Man could only watch in shock as Skull-Man jumped off the edge of the building. "Wait! I--I want to help you!" But it seemed he was all too late; Skull-Man was on the ground and going elsewhere. He could only pray for his safety. So he says he's unloved...maybe he'll know me as the first. With that, he turned his attention back to Wave-Man. "Now, you, I don't have as much love for. You, too, have done terrible things--but if you were anything like Skull-Man, you would have comforted him. Now, I give you one chance--and I mean only one this time--you can come help us fight, or the next thing this Circle Saw will find its mark in is you." |

Wave Man kept his eyes on the blade, and inched forward torwards Heart Man. "Easy with that, please, I don't want trouble. How about I strike a deal? I can take out that harpoon- painlessly- and you let me just leave? Trust me, I've done this countless times before." Wave Man was starting to feel water coming from his eyes- he just knew it. "Listen, Heart Man! I've got this little sister of mine! She'd be heartbroken if I was dead- you should've seen how sad she was when Charge Man came back with really bad injuries!" --- Skull Man dug through all the stone, metal, and wood, searching for something. He carefully put forward his hands, trying to feel for metal. "Aha. Here we are." He heaved on an object, apparently stuck. It finally gave way. Skull Man, satisfied, pulled two large metal things out of the giant heap of scrap. 10 minutes later, he emerged. They were the unconcious- but safe- bodies of Wave Man and Oil Man. "I believe these are yours, Heart Man," he whispered under his breath. He then silently walked away, contemplating what he had undertaken. |

Heart-Man was about to agree to Wave-Man's little deal. Then he heard him breaking down. A little sister? He thought to himself. I don't recall reading about Wily building any girl Robots... He approached Wave-Man slowly. He didn't care about his injury--he could fix that himself. "Oh, you don't have to do that--instead, why don't you tell me about this supposed "sister" of yours?" |

Wave Man nodded. "She's this wonderful little girl with white-ish blonde hair, a brown skirt, white shirt, she wears suspenders- her name is Photon Woman. She was originally meant to be a combat robot, but Wily thought she wasn't strong enough, so she stayed as a helper. She was built at around the same time as Crystal Man, so she was kind of like our sister... Please! She'd be devestated if I was hurt!" He knew that Heart Man might not buy it. He pulled out a picture of all the Fifth Rebellion bots standing around a girl much like the one he described, all smiling. "I swear I'm being honest..." |

Heart-Man looked over the picture. By his own intellect, it didn't look forged--not that he knew much about that anyway. Still...this information was helpful, perhaps vital, to him and the other Robots--it had never occurred to him that Wily might have built a Robot to help him, like Roll. "All right, that's enough. Run along, now, before I change my mind." Heart-Man switched to his Welding Fist, and swiftly pulled out the harpoon Wave-Man had stuck in his side. |

Wave Man, grateful, dashed off, walking back down the stairs. As soon as he exited the building he nearly tripped over something. "Huh? Two robots?" He called up to Heart Man: "Hey! Are these yours?" He then walked away, trying to get back to his base. |

Heart-Man looked down at the two downed Robots. "Why, yes, actually...yes, they are...but weren't they buried under the rock?" Heart-Man jumped off the building, landing softly near the rubble. Wh--who dug them out...? Did...did Skull-Man do that...? Gee...I'd barely done anything for him yet...and he'd do this for me? It was then that Heart-Man remembered that he was injured. He should do something about that, huh. He quickly heated up his Welding Fist, and after patching up his own injury, he started repairing the two primitive robots. |

Something on Heart Man's wrist crackled. Dive Man's voice, sounding a bit strained, barked into the communicator. "Heart Man! I hear your rescue mission was a success. Good work. I also hear that you've entered the city on the northwest side. Be careful, Skull Man might be in that area... frickin traitor... Anyway, have you seen any of the Third Rebellion Robots? They were supposed to report a long time ago..." |
