Time's up.

Superconductor and Paradox continued fighting, but were equal in power.

Sonic Man, looking weary and with oil spewed on his helmet, was guarding the facility. He was worried about his comrades- Magnet and Shark Man hadn't reported since 3 am, Gemini Man was still in critical condition, Snake Man and Hard Man, along with Dyna Man, were missing, Bit Man had come alone bearing horrible news about Shadow Man and Mega Water S, Wave Man, Oil Man, and Blade Man were all missing... The only groups that made it fully were Top Man with Volt Man and Buster Rod G., and Needle Man with Hyper Storm H. He was suprised to see Heart Man and some others coming.

"Dive Man's inside, sir. He's been looking for you," he said worriedly.

Heart-Man recognized the look on another primitive Robot's face all too well. He had seen it on some of his patients, in fact, when they believed they were to die.
It was the look of despair.
He could not guess why they were sad, but he could offer his reassuring smile: "Don't worry, man, we'll be okay. I think I found a couple of your friends earlier--they were beat up bad, but I patched them up.
"Oh, yes, Dive-Man, better get in there fast." Heart-Man briskly walked into the makeshift base, and walked up to where Dive-Man was.

Dive Man glanced briefly up from a clipboard. "Good, you're here." He pointed his pen over to a table, where Gemini Man was. "Think it's self-explanitory... By the way, when you're finished, I must have a private meeting with you..."

"Ah, yes, I'll get to work right away. What are the damages?" Heart-Man walked over to Gemini-Man, assessing the difficulty of this operation. "And...if I may ask, what hit him so quickly at this level of power that he couldn't dodge or create another Clone in time? I mean, all the Gemini Clones take damage separately from each other..."

"It was completely unexpected. Hit him so fast he didn't even see it. Assesing from the damages, we believe the only people who are armed enough to do it are Crash Man, Napalm Man, Search Man, and Grenade Man. We've already ruled out Crash and Napalm; their attacks have a delayed firing time."

"Well, if I had to bet on it, I'd guess it was Search-Man. The guy's got a mean sniper, so he could shoot from a distance and be away before anyone had an inkling."
Upon closer examination, Heart-Man saw that this definitely wouldn't be easy, or at least it wouldn't be quick. Although he was still waiting for his damage assessment, Gemini-Man clearly had several different injuries...

Time's up.

Superconductor and Paradox kept fighting when suddenly, something glowing and green hit Supercontuctor.

Superconductor Man: ...What is this?

It started to heat up his components, and interfere with his electronics.

Superconductor Man: Get it off! Get it off! Get it-

Suddenly, he blew up. Paradox smiled.

Paradox Woman: Thanks, Nuclear!

Nuclear Man nodded.

Nuclear Man: Anytime. We should continue.
Paradox Woman: Of course!

Torch Man hurried in with a piece of paper. "Man, this guy got everything... Burn wounds, punture wounds, concussion because of hitting his head, shrapnel wounds, and plus there's the missile actually hitting him."

He handed the piece of paper to Heart Man. "Here's your damage assesment."

(Wow, Finite, totally thought that was a Chaos Emerald.)

That's no exaggeration...this guy did get hit with everything. "Bring me a cloth soaked with alcohol...this guy's going to need cleaning before we boot him up. After that, don't disturb me 'til at least nine."
With that, Heart-Man switched to his Circle Saw. "Alright," he said to himself--which he did quite often during a serious operation--"let's start with the concussion. After all, he'll do us no good with a fixed body, but a broken mind." He carefully cut into the top of Gemini-Man's head, revealing his mental processing circuits.

Torch Man handed him the cloth, and took a look at his body. "Hmm... That's odd... Heart Man, haven't you noticed these wounds seem to go up instead of out? Look," he said, pointing to the holes in his chest. They seemed like they were going upwards. His feet also seemed badly damaged, yet his head seemed perfectly fine.

"This guy must have been hit by a mine. There's no way a missile could damage upwards..."

"How he got damaged doesn't truly matter to me. All I need to know is what the damages are and how to fix them--I'm a medic, not a detective."
Heart-Man switched to his Wire Cutters and picked through Gemini-Man's mental circuits carefully. When he was sure everything was in order, he switched to his Welding Fist and sealed his head back together. Then, he switched back to his Wire Cutters, and carefully picked shrapnel out of Gemini-Man's many puncture wounds.

(I think I watch way too much Castle.)

"I don't think you know where I'm going at. If Gemini Man was hit by a mine, that means plenty of other mines could've been planted... Eh, you're probably not the one to talk to." He walked over to Dive Man and told him the news.

"Hmm. That is convincing... Might as well form up some robots to be minesweepers. You could do it, right?"

"Yeah, sure. Me alone won't be good enough... Say, if you get Volt Man, he could help quite a bit. He's equipped with a shield that can instantly smite explosives."

"All right, I'll go get him." Dive Man walked into another chamber of the complex.

(I'm guessing that's another medical show?)

...Hmph. If there were mines, I would've stepped on one on the way here...which means it could be... Something clicked in Heart-Man. "Dr. Wily could be using an underground hunter armed with explosives."
And that was as involved as he was going to get in this argument. It didn't matter to him until he was out on the battlefield again.
It was difficult, painstaking work, but eventually, Heart-Man removed all the debris lodged in Gemini-Man's wounds. He quickly switched to his Welding Fist, and carefully patched up the puncture wounds. He also lightly went over the burns--they didn't need to be patched together like a puncture, but the metal did need to shift its position a little.

Dive Man peeked his head out the doorway. "Underground? There are only two Robot Masters that can do that... Drill Man and Ground Man. And Drill Man's with us..."

"Hmm. This isn't good." Dive Man put his hand to his chin. "Not only is Ground Man stealthy, he's also extremely durable and his weapons are top-notch."

A explosion was heard in the distance. "Ugh, they're back on the offensive..." Dive Man muttered. "Let's move." He gathered up a few robots, and ran off. Thus, Heart Man was alone with Bit Man and Sonic Man.

Funny how I asked everyone to not disturb me, yet they did it anyway. Heart-Man was a little self-satisfied--this operation hadn't actually taken that long. Lastly, Heart-Man cooled off his Welding Fist, took the alcohol-soaked cloth and carefully cleaned off Gemini-Man's burn marks.
After refueling his oil supply just in case, he put away his tools. He tapped Gemini-Man's activator, and checked the time.

Gemini Man buzzed for a bit. His eyes opened, and he simply lied on the table for a while. Finally, he sat up and got off the table.

"Hmm. I assume you are... uh... Who are you again?"

"...It's not the fact that you know me or don't know me at this point, it's the inconsistencies between the two. I'm Heart-Man, from the Hacker's Rebellion--come on, it was all over the news!
"I've just finished bringing you back to life from quite a hefty blow. You all right?" Once again, Heart-Man glanced for the time or perhaps even hear the clock tower--he wasn't sure he'd caught it the first time.

"Sorry. I don't watch TV often. And my memory is a tad fuzzy too..."

He glanced over at the clock. 9:07. "Huh, out for that long..."
