Tiamat: If it was true that everyone could fight back then, tell me, WHY wasn't there some sort of massive army that defeated Eggman the first time around, hmm? The truth was, the same amount of people could fight back then as could fight now, the difference being, NOW the attack is FAR worse than anything Eggman did. You moron.

"Eggman! Thank you; I never knew the fellow's name. Looks like smarts is all you guys have got goin' for you so far.
"And I know exactly why. I've been around The Blue One more than once, and he has something no one else seems to have these days--some freakin' bravery! Bravery to stand up to this freakshow trying to take over the world that belonged to him! He was alone at first because people like you were full of fear! But as he fought, he found several friends who would lend a hand, and by the time Eggman was defeated for the last time, there was a freakin' army! I was in it!
"But now he's gone, and people like you have gone right back to being pansies again. Now if you'll excuse me, the real warriors have got to go solve this problem." Shorde kept on walking off to the city--while he did want to get away from this annoying girl, he also wanted to preserve his energy, for he would certainly need to run during the fight.

Tiamat shook her head. Shorde was indeed a moron, as most people, more than 99% of them, did NOT fight in the Robotnick wars. Only a select few actually did fight. The difference here was, most of the people who would stand up against this have already been killed.

Sword Man overheard the conversation between the purple animal, Proto Man, and whoever else was there. "Interesting... It seems this world's heroes are gone. Except this one... I find him most admirable. Perhaps I should confront him."

He walked to the intersection, surrounded by shadows.

"Bravery is an imporant thing I agree Lotus..." ProtoMan said. Lotus may have a temper, but he had to agree with him this time. "Wait up Lotus." ProtoMan said as he started walking next to him. "Ya know, you shouldn't let anyone get you angry, anger leads to bieng reckless and naive. Sometimes you need to calm down and asses the situation, i'm pretty sure The Blue One did that every once and awhile, and why do you call him "The Blue One" and not by his name?"

"The Blue One? Calm down? Heh, I guess that's typical to think of someone that didn't know him. The Blue One never slowed down and thought, he charged right in and got the job done, gosh darn it. Perhaps I was a little harsh, but I think I had some justification.
"And I call him 'The Blue One' because I don't actually know his real name. I helped him and all, but I was never close enough to actually bother learning his name."
Shorde smiled; the final battle was a nice thing to recall. It had been so long since he had felt the wind through his quills as he stormed the base, destroying everything in his path.
He hoped he'd get to do it again soon, and if not, at least let his opponents challenge him instead.
---
Heart-Man didn't know how long he stayed in sleep mode, but he knew he was fully charged, and from the vibrations on the ground, he could tell that multiple someones were approaching the base. Although his still-rebooting body didn't want to, he rapidly stood up, retracted his charging cord, and switched to his Plasma Pistol. He carefully looked down the hallway leading out of his room...

"Was TheBlueOne a hedgehog? Like you?" ProtoMan asked concerned. "And did he have any friends? Or rivals?"

"S'cuse me, Heart Man," Volt Man said in a flat voice. He sighed and picked up a pen next to a list titled 'MIA'. He wrote down Spark Man, Hard Man, Magnet Man, and Snake Man's names.

"This war is getting out of control..." he groaned quietly as he walked out the room.

"The Blue One was indeed a Hedgehog, but we have many differences--in appearance, opinions, and most importantly fighting style. And he had lots of friends. How much liking there was amongst all of them is arguable, though. Nonetheless, friends and friendly rivals alike, we all stormed his hideout and defeated "Dr. Eggman" for the last time about twenty years ago. It was a jolly old time, if you ask me."
---
Heart-Man looked at the paper the primitive robot was carrying. Hard-Man, Magnet-Man, Snake-Man... "Hey, I've seen Spark-Man! Right before he blew up in my face, that is. He was armed with a time bomb, and he was unable to get proper attention before he exploded. He's gonna be out of commission for a long time."
Heart-Man sighed. Perhaps he would have been able to prevent such casualties if he was a better fighter. He kept calmly walking down the hallway, hoping that the multiple someones entering the facility were friendly.

"My brother is a semi-pacifist. He only fights when neccesary. He's also a little too outgoing and serious, i'm more laid back and calm. But i'm still good in a fight. I just hope Bass isn't here too."

"I suppose that makes sense. After all, most heroes tend to not enjoy their job...and I assume Bass is a real dangerous guy built by Dr. Wily? Regardless, what would make him such a threat?"
Shorde was half-being taken into a conversation that didn't really need to occur. He wouldn't mind just staying quiet until he reached the city.

Volt Man looked back at him with a great despair pasted on his face. "I see..." he muttered quietly. He crossed out Spark Man's name, and instead put it on the KIA list.

He then put plenty more names on both of them- Shadow Man, Mega Water S., Oil Man, Blade Man, and Wave Man found their way to the KIA list, while Shark Man was added to the MIA list. He wiped his eyes, then trudged out the room.

Wow, things have really been picking up. I need to learn to be a much better medic. Heart-Man didn't know a lot of people on the list, but he could understand their magnitude.
Well, if that robot wasn't standing guard anymore, the multiple someones couldn't be bad guys. Heart-Man switched back to his normal hand, and quietly walked towards the entrance to the facility.

Sebek sighed, and guided his aunts and cousin to the boat, put his motorbike on the boat, and took off towards Angel Island.

Heart-Man walked down the hallway at a brisk pace, turned the corner--and then he saw Roll. Heart-Man had always had an awkward relationship with her--she always said she didn't mind, but he still thought she might hate him for the things he'd done under Dr. Coda's name--but upon seeing her in combat armor and with Virus in her hand, things just got even stranger.
Considering the armor's color wasn't the same as it was while she was hacked, Heart-Man assumed Roll was here to fight for Dr. Light, and slowly approached her. "Roll? What are you doing here? I thought Dr. Light wouldn't let you come!"

Roll spun around to find herself face-to-face with Heart-Man. She sure hoped he still wasn't as afraid of her as he was. "I could ask you the same thing, couldn't I?"
"Well, yeah, but...Dr. Light said he trusted me more than my brothers--er, brothers and sister--so he sent me in. From the looks of it, you're in real need of a field medic anyway. And you?"
Roll sighed. She still didn't want to talk about her sudden outburst at her father. "I saw I wasn't being as helpful as I could back at home...and I explained this to Dr. Light...and he built this for me and let me in." It was a white lie--what she didn't tell Heart-Man would probably be of no concern to him.
"I see...and I see you're still using Virus. Not that I can blame you--Dr. Coda may be a bad guy, but he sure built some great hardware." Heart-Man punched himself in the chest, as if he was referring to himself.
"Actually, it's not doing me so much good...I ran into Ground-Man and Dynamo-Man on the way here...they bent it real out of shape, and if they weren't going easy, they would have easily defeated me..."
"Oh, well, you can't blame yourself for that, you just need practice! And for the record, it's perfectly fine if someone bends Virus like that; it's designed to bend instead of break and you can easily fix it yourself. Besides, you weren't using..." Heart-Man paused a bit, unsure if he should mention it to Roll. It could be dangerous...but she was wielding Virus now, and she had to make the choice. "...Virus' full potential."

Roll tilted her head to one side. "Its full potential? What do you mean?"
Now it was Heart-Man's turn to sigh. He hoped he wouldn't regret this. "Well, Virus is a finely crafted blade, but like it is, that's all it is--a good blade. However, Coda installed it with one special feature that made it deadly...it's a little difficult to explain. Basically, what has to happen is the robot wielder has to allow the blade to read their thoughts to let it work. I can perform a quick procedure to do that for you if you want..."
Roll smiled--it was good to hear Heart-Man living up to his name and being such a nice guy. "Please do, I'd do anyth--
"Wait!" "Before I start the procedure, I want to make sure you know what you're doing...if you're not careful, you could wind up losing control...and wind up severely hurting the ones you came here to help! Do you understand?"
Roll had never heard Heart-Man speak like that before. It was natural for him to be concerned, but that was concerned with a hint of fear. Perhaps it wouldn't be the smartest idea for her to go ahead with this "full potential" thing...
No.
With enough experience, this was the way she could be the most helpful to her friends.
She set a hand on his shoulder, making sure he listened to her. "I appreciate your concern, Heart-Man, but I think it'd be best for everyone else if I went ahead with the procedure. I'll be fine, alright?"
Heart-Man smiled grimly. He could only hope she'd be right. "You're a brave soul, Roll," he said dryly. "Follow me back and we'll get the procedure started."

With that, he started back off the hallway he just came through, Roll following closely behind.
(...Wow, this sure was a long conversation.)

"Bass was built by Wily after bieng beaten 6 time by my brother so he figured, why not make my own MegaMan? So the result is Bass, of course he rebelled claimed himself the strongest, but after bieng beaten by my brother his goal is to defeat MegaMan, and me and aspire to become the strongest robot." he actually helped us a couple times, only to meet his own goals of course, but help nonetheless." ProtoMan said. "If Bass is here he'll turn up every stone and destroy everything to find and challenge me and/or MegaMan, he'll cause mass chaos to find and try to beat me."

"I see...I understand what they were trying to do there. Believe it or not, our Eggman tried to do that too--his best invention betrayed him, and wound up fighting alongside The Blue One on occasion. I call him The Dark One, and not just for his appearance.
"But that's not important right now. We need to focus on dealing with your Anti-Mega Man, not remembering my Anti-Blue One." Shorde looked up, and saw that he could see an outline of a city on the horizon.
Except there were fires and explosions coming from it.
"What the hell is going on over there?!" Anger suddenly flew to Shorde's mind--home was important where he came from, and even though that city was far from his own home, it was angering to see. He suddenly rolled up into a ball, charged a Spin-Dash, and launched himself off towards the city.
---
Roll calmly laid down on the empty table where Gemini-Man was a few minutes ago, placing Virus beside her. Heart-Man was standing nearby, Circle Saw ready for operation. "Good, now, remove your helmet and we can get started." Roll calmly took it off and handed it to Heart-Man, and he set it aside. He flipped a covered switch, and Roll suddenly powered down.
Heart-Man smiled; he always liked that about operating on robots. No annoying anesthesia to wait for, just go right ahead and get started. He calmly revved up his Circle Saw, and made a quick cut to expose her mental processor.

Then he ran into a small complication--Roll's mental processor was rather small. Not that she needed a lot of memory as a housemaid, but it would be best to guarantee she had enough room for the weapons she'd get--not to mention that using part of her mental processor in Virus would reduce her memory even more.
Heart-Man started looking around in the room he was in--for this operation to go through with optimal results, he would need some scrap metal and wires to work with.

Dynamo Man sighed quietly as he walked back with Ground Man. "She's so grown up now... I wish I was there for her."

"Don't worry," Ground Man said reassuringly. "When this is over, everything will be back to normal."

"Don't be so sure..."

"What? Ground Man, you're contradicting yourself."

"I didn't say that."

They slowly turned around to a slim, tall figure in the shadows. "Wily has a new assignment for you two and your four brothers."

"And what would that be?" Dynamo Man said fiercely.

"Immediate termination."

"Whu-" Dynamo Man started before he was slashed. The figure landed multiple blows on him as he blindly fired around.

Suddenly, he let out a bloodcurdling scream that was heard throughout the extent of the city as some very sharp object pierced the center of his torso. He fell to the floor, and Ground Man only watched in horror.

Two blades went through the sides of his head, and he fell to the ground. The two bodies lied in a pool of oil while the figure came out of the shadows- Blade Man.

He smirked under his helmet and crossed two names off of a list. "You're next..." he said as he crossed Cold Man off next.

After seeing there was no scrap to work with, Heart-Man went ahead and made some of his own--he dismantled a couple useless appliances that had been laying around in the makeshift facility. "It's not the best, but with the resources we have, I won't complain..."

A few minutes later, Roll's mental processor had received a major upgrade--Heart-Man was sure it would be more than enough to hold all the data she'd need to recall. Now for what he had originally set out to accomplish--he switched to his Scalpel, and carefully cut out one small piece of the processor. He moved the tiny piece to another table, where Virus was carefully laid out earlier. With his free hand, he opened up a small, unnoticeable compartment on the hilt of the blade and carefully slid the piece in.
The piece slid into place, and the compartment shut and sealed itself. For a brief second, the blade flashed--half-pink, half-gray. Heart-Man shivered deeply. There was no going back now--if Roll ever was displeased with the effects, she would have to find another sword to wield.

Heart-Man calmly walked back to where Roll was laying. Without a second thought, he carefully re-attached what he had cut off--in fact, so carefully you could never tell it was cut--and slid her helmet back on. Heart-Man sighed; the procedure was finally over. With that, he powered Roll back on, and waited.

Some plunger-like feet sounded as a Teck walked inside. "Uh... excuse me, sir. Are you Heart Man?"

"If so, we've recieved reports of two deaths. The bigshots want you out there immediately. Apparently they're two people the girl know?"

"Both of them recieved some nasty puncture wounds..." the Teck noted, eyeing Virus.
