The Teck went into the comm center. Setting the frequency for Light's Lab, he called to the doctor. "Dr. Light! Listen! Ground Man and Dynamo Man are badly injured, and we need to send them to you." "I'm much too busy right now. There's no way I'll be able to work on them." "But you have to! Heart Man isn't prepared for these types of injuries." Dr. Light muttered under his breath. "Fine. But don't expect them for a while..." The Teck walked out of the room, and, getting a few Peats to help him, lifted Dynamo Man first, then Ground Man to the teleporter. |

(Interruption much? I was having a jolly old time trying to get to the city, but you had to do that? Ugh, fine...) Shorde paused at the doorway. He had been thinking about telling her his real name...but with that sort of attitude, she certainly wouldn't get it now. Then came one of the most provoking statements Shorde had ever heard. "Ooh-hoo-hoo, you've been making some real improvements. Not only is there the fact that there's not a single Mobian out there fighting these jerks, there are no defenses anywhere to protect this beautiful world we once had. Back in my day, Green Hill Zone was green! And actually had hills! I haven't seen it yet, but I bet with someone like you in charge, it's a wasteland now. Hell, you're even so fragile--" he stopped and motioned to Vestra's robotic arm "--you've gotta turn yourself into a cyborg! Yes, clearly you've made a lot of improvements--which is why millions of Mobians have died. You're just like your sister..." --- Heart-Man sighed quietly. He felt bad about it, but at least he didn't have to worry about those two anymore. |

Vestra sighed, flipped him off, and went back into her lab. She may be a mad scientist, but she knew what she was doing when she took control. All she simply did was force the world's governments to do whatever she wanted them to do, but she didn't need much. Simply small things that made things more efficient. Not destroying anything, just improving. She did cut back on army a bit, but seriously, at that point, all threats were destroyed. Thus, it made since to relax. NO signs were there that they were about to be invaded by an alternate universe. Vestra: That guy is the BIGGEST douche I have ever met in my life... |

Skull Man was walking aimlessly through the city. Heart Man didn't help me much... he thought angrily to himself. Now I've gotten all sorts of jeers from grade A assholes who think I'm a big softy. Great. He looked down at his helmet. Did he dare put it on again? "It's probably for the best..." he said, lifting to his head. Then, everything was a blur as the world suddenly turned black. |

Shorde saw this clearly wasn't the place for him. He knew he was wasting his time talking with this "ruler of this world"--which was really a dumb title to begin with. People should rule themselves. Ugh, the sooner he got away from this moron, the better. Without hesitation, he walked outside, dropped his rock fragment, and carefully rolled into a Spin-Dash, being careful not to cut himself with his new sword. --- It was only then when Heart-Man suddenly remembered Skull-Man. Where'd that guy go? He can't possibly be here, his presence would certainly be known by everyone here. I guess I'd better go find him...he's still in such a vulnerable state. Heart-Man quietly stood up, and switched to his Circle Saw for protection. With that, he quickly exited the building and started wandering the city. An organized pattern might not work so wall, and the best way to find a wanderer was probably to wander oneself. --- Roll suddenly awoke, as if there was a small jump around her. This was strange--she wasn't charging at the moment, which would be the first logical explanation. She quietly stood up and dusted herself off. Gee, how long had she been in the corner like that? She looked around the room, seeing if there was anyone else in the room with her. |

Vestra shook her head, and hoped everyone was safe. She activated the monitor in her lab. A human was there to speak with her. ???: Ah, Vestra. How is the protection of Earth going? Vestra: Pretty badly, I'm afraid. How's everyone doing up there? ???: Freaked out, but unharmed. Your "Mass teleportation" system worked better than expected. Vestra: Good, I'd hate to see many people killed. I have some ass to kick, so, yeah. ???: Good luck. Vestra terminated the connection, glad that she was able to get as many as she could teleported to the ARK. She wasn't able to get everybody, but she figured saving some is better than saving none. She wasn't a cold-hearted bitch, after all. She left the lab, then the house. It was time for payback. |

Turbo Man was half concious of his surrondings. His brakes blew out, and he crashed straight into a building- with someone standing in front of him. He looked over, and noticed the unconcious body of- Skull Man. "Oh, no, no, no, no, no... He'll kill me when he wakes up." He struggled to his feet, but fell down after taking a few steps, his head ringing. |

Meanwhile... Tiamat: ...I feel sorry for those poor souls that stayed behind to fight. They gave up their spot on the ARK to fight for those who remained... Sarah: Yeah... Belazure: Wait, there's a mobian resistance group? Sarah: There was... But they were completely slaughtered by the damn robots... There are probably several areas, completely drenched with the blood of the fallen... Belazure: Oh my... |

A large crashing sound suddenly assaulted Heart-Man's ears. Duty calls...where there were crashes, there is more work for me. Poor Skull-Man, I hope he's alright, wherever he is... Heart-Man ran off towards where the sound had came from--and when he arrived, he found several things that were wrong. Skull-Man was there. He had his helmet on again. He clearly had tire marks on him. Turbo-Man was there as well. But perhaps the strangest thing was that Turbo-Man was downed too. Well, it was easy to pick out the one he cared about more. He ran over to where Skull-Man lay, hoping he wasn't seriously damaged. "Are you alright?! What the hell happened here?!" |

(" "It's probably for the best..." he said, lifting to his head. Then, everything was a blur as the world suddenly turned black." I read this as him putting it on again. Guess I read that wrong.) It was only a couple of minutes before Shorde had reached The Last City. He deftly jumped into the air, and uncurled from a ball in midair. Better to save his energy, now that he was at the fight. It was time to see just who this host of crazy robots thought they were--but first he had to find one. Or let one find him. Which wasn't really as scary a concept as it should have been to Shorde. Shorde carefully walked the streets, looking carefully for any moving figure. --- Heart-Man knew that Skull-Man certainly wouldn't be alright here--he needed to get him back to base, stat. Without a second thought, he picked up Skull-Man's unconscious body and slung it over his shoulder. He saw his helmet laying there on the ground--he wondered if Skull-Man still wanted it. Well, better to be wrong and have it than not--he carefully picked up the cracked helmet and gently slid it over Skull-Man's head. He was about to go back to base, but he stopped and looked at Turbo-Man. There had to be some logical reason that he had just stopped functioning right after the crash...should he take him back to base, too? |

Sword Man peered through a big window in his building. "There he is. I see he is carrying quite a large sword... Interesting. I'm rather rusty these days- he should make a good challenge." He flew out the window, and jumped down right in front of Shrode. "Salutations." |

Heart-Man decided that enemies were enemies, and they should be left alone. After all, didn't they have some weird pledge to Dr. Wily or something? He quietly dashed back towards the base, carrying Skull-Man with him. --- Shorde didn't hesitate for a single moment--he held the blade out to his side, ready to strike at any moment. "Good day. Are you here to protect Mobius or take it over?" |

"I'm supposed to be sent here to take it over. However, I have grown increasingly bored with this prospect, as there are no skilled swordmen around here to satisfy my need for dueling," Sword Man explained. "With the blade you wield, it seems as though you might be the answer to my prayers. I am Sword Man, and I cordially challenge you to a duel, if you do not mind." |

"That is a very fair thing to say. Not only is war often so easy it's boring, but it's so...dark and gritty. Still, I must protect this world from those that are invading it. "I probably shouldn't be wasting my time with you--" Shorde brought his new blade up into a fighting position "--but you just challenged my honor. And no Knight ever denies a challenge. Here--I'll let you go first, Sir Sword-Man." Edited by CHAOS_FANTAZY, Nov 19 2011, 07:29 PM.

Sword Man put his sword behind his head, and readied his first strike. He threw his sword in a cutting fashion, almost hitting Shorde. |

"Really, now? A risky move for a swordsman of the calibur you claim to be." Shorde easily ducked under the tossed blade, letting it land harmlessly behind him. "Now it's my turn." Still in a duck, Shorde arranged his sword so the blade was angled towards the ground, then he began to rev up a Spin-Dash. The way he was holding the blade caused it to spin with him, creating a deadly rotating field around him. Shorde launched himself at Sword-Man, cutting into the ground as he spun. |

ProtoMan followed Shorde by staying hidden, he also saw SwordMan challenge him. He was currently in an alley, which he jumped out of. "Oh hello SwordMan, are you working with Dr.Light this time? Or are you carrying out Wily's half-brained plans again?" OOC: Shouldn't Shadow still be alive, because he is immortal after all. |

A quick look over the room easily told Roll that she was alone. So she did something she would probably regret--she decided to go looking for someone else. She didn't care who it was at the moment--she just didn't want to be alone. Roll quietly exited the makeshift base, and started walking a strange zigzag pattern through the city. To anyone else, it would look like she was patrolling, but in reality, Roll had no idea where she was going. |
