(Pretty sure they think he's dead.)

Toad Man now had to hop a little faster in order to pick up the pace. He noticed a giant group of robots about to leave the city. "Hey, there they are!"

Heart-Man couldn't help but chuckle at seeing Toad-Man hop along to keep up with him. Was he physically incapable of walking?
Nonetheless, Heart-Man dashed up to the front of the group, and threw his arms out to the sides. "Stop!" was all he could think to shout to gather their attention. He'd need to choose his words carefully in order to succeed in healing them...thinking carefully about what he said, Heart-Man began to speak. "I realize that I have hurt you...but I did not know what else to do. I now realize that my siblings and I most likely cannot win this war alone, and I would much appreciate having your support again."

Many of them nodded in agreement. Some of them frowned. Others put a hand to their chin, thinking about what was said. Still others stared at Heart Man vindictively.

Drill Man came forward. "You did hurt us with those statements," he began. "But that's only because of our pride getting in the way. I shouldn't have called you an imbecile, Heart Man- I'm sorry." With that, the Fourth Rebellion went back to Heart Man's side.

"You did help us out when our men were down, so I guess we oughta stick with you- after all, there are no better medics than you," Volt Man stated. The DOS Unit went back over. Volt Man then whispered into his ear, "but the least you could do is remember our names..."

The Genesis Unit conversed among themselves. Buster Rod G. spoke after a little while. "We should apologize for how we took your message. We will rejoin Light's forces humbly." The Genesis Unit marched over.

The Third, Ninth, and Sixth were still rooted in place. "You fools! Swayed so easily by the person who brought you down!" Blizzard Man said scornfully. "I've been walked over by a lot of robots, but he might as well be one of the worst offenders! You don't know how many times I've been called weak and pitifull... And instead of helping, Heart Man, you join in! Well, I've had enough! I'm holding my ground, whether you like it or not." The others nodded their heads.

ProtoMan was in the room staring at Wily with his buster fully charged. Dr.Wily, with that insane smile it always scared ProtoMan even when Dr.Wily rescued him after he ran away from Dr.Light. "Wily.....I said freeze! You're coming with me!"

(Honestly, the only way you'll get him to listen is to tell him there's an empty train car, then cut to Charge-Man pulling the train along.
Although, if it would make him happy, you could just have it be one of the dumb Wily decoys with the spring-loaded heads from Mega Man 3.)

Heart-Man smiled--this was going better than he expected. He owed them some explaining; they owed him an apology--seems that even though their hope was in such bad condition, they still had a brain. He leaned towards the primitive Robot, and offered an explanation: "I'm sorry I don't know you, but I'm afraid I'm still a little fresh on this Earth--I only researched the major allies and enemies I was most likely to see...I apologize if this offends you."

Then he looked at how many were not swayed, and his confidence flicked off as quick as a switch. He spoke slowly, trying not to use any offensive words: "I do not want this to end in violence...but you must understand that loyalty comes first. I know that I said a lot of hurtful things to you back there, and I am..." Heart-Man's voice trailed off. "I'm sorry" wasn't enough for these Robots; he needed something else fast...
In a flash, he remembered. "What about Roll?!" he shouted, making sure everyone could hear him. "Think about how devastated she'd be to see even more of her cousins--of her brothers!--out on the battlefield trying to kill her! Is that where you want this to go?! Do you want to just crush the girl you all love so much?!"

That seemed to click into some of them. All three of the groups were thinking it over between themselves. The Third could take a hint- they were the ones who told her to go out in the first place. They left for the other side, and joined Heart Man.

The Ninth was in a frenzy. Half of them wanted to go back, but half wanted to go with Wily. Threats by the more powerful of the group managed to root them back in their place, including poor Plug Man.

The Sixth didn't seemed swayed by the outburst. "I could fight against her if I would get the chance to beat you..." Blizzard Man said.

Heart-Man was more than relieved to see that he had gotten through to the people he hoped to. He looked over the Sixth Rebellion with a ponderous gaze, and he knew what he had to say do win them back. When he spoke again, Heart-Man's voice had taken on a much more casual air.
"So wait a second. You're saying you would watch your homeland burn to the ground...you would kill the caretaker who saw to it that you lived...you would help the scumbag who used you take over any planet he wants...just so you could get a chance to shut me up?"
At this point, Heart-Man broke out into laughter--he genuinely found this situation hilarious. After about fifteen seconds of hysterical laughter and a halfway-coherent "You must really hate me!", Heart-Man regained his composure. "Why, if that's all you wanted to do, all you had to do was ask! Tell you what, I'm a nice guy...let's skip all the drama, pain, and suffering you'd be willing to put everyone through to do this...and let's give you the chance to shut me up, right now. If you're so sure, come over here and make me shut up...c'mon! Me against all eight of ya, right now!"

Heart-Man was confident he was throwing himself into a win-win situation. If they beat him, they'd feel like they'd effectively shut him up and be relieved of their stress, and they'd come back to the good side. If he beat them, they'd have no choice--unless they wanted to keep getting beat up, they'd be smart and come back to the good side. He looked back at the Robots he'd won over with his argument, and spoke to them very briefly: "Stand back. I'm the one they want."

(Uh, Chaos, the Ninth is still on the bad side too.)

"Hold on a sec! Why are you just giving the Sixth the oppurtunity? We're in on this, too- whether you like it or not." The Ninth also stood beside the Sixth. "For all the smarts you've got, you're an idiot for trying to go against 16 of us."

"And this isn't just about you! We'd be glad to take on all of your smartass friends, too! Built the best... I scoff at the notion. You'll see real toughness by our hands!"

They all got into battle stances. "Bring it on, punk! Soon as we're done with you, we're taking down your brothers and sister! We'll make you look like Fire Wall back when he took him out for war crimes!"

(I read "Back in their place" as where they initially were...as good guys. Oops.
And dude, did you even PLAY Mega Man 9? Plug-Man IS the tough one.)

"Yeah, well why don't you come over here and say that to my face--"
Heart-Man stopped dead when Fire Wall was mentioned. "You...you did what to Fire Wall? The lonely fire-based Robot locked away in Coda's basement...burnt himself badly trying to save Coda...really easy to make harmless...and you all--you all just killed him?"
Heart-Man clenched his one idle fist, and started visibly shaking. "He wasn't as smart as us...he wasn't as meticulously built as us...he wasn't as good as us...but he was my brother, damn it, and I loved him like any other brother..."
Suddenly, Heart-Man switched his idle hand to his Circle Saw, and revved it up in an instant. "This just got personal," he shouted as he dashed straight forward, "I'll kill every single one of you for what you've done!"

(Yeah, it...probably wasn't such a good idea to mention Fire Wall. Especially in that light.)

Then Wily frikkin' exploded (Bombz). "Shit! It was a dummy. But I can still take out this train..." ProtoMan laued Hyperbombz everywhere in the front and teleported back.( whereever the big robot gathering is)

Charge Man saw the bombs behind him. "Get your bombs off of my train!" he shouted, kicking them off.

Wily's base was in sight, so he slowed down and got ready to stop.
---
Many of the robots were confused. None of them did anything to Fire Wall. Blizzard Man seemed very out of sorts...

Nonetheless, they all broke away from formation and got ready to defend. Blizzard Man blizzard-bowled forward, trying to run over Heart Man.

(Proto, the Robot gathering is in Mega Man's world, in the wilderness on the way to Wily's Castle. Sorry, but you can't teleport between worlds.)

Heart-Man could tolerate a lot of things, but to know Fire Wall had been dead all this time...he was almost completely blinded by rage at this point. He ducked under the shot as well as he could, and fired a shot back at Blizzard-Man for when he unrolled. "Do you have any idea how long we've waited on the news to hear about him?! Massive forest fires...freakish charred bodies...buildings melted into a puddle overnight...anything that could have been his work...and you're telling me he's been dead all this time?!" Heart-Man wildly slashed with his Circle Saw in front of him. It was a risky move that left him balancing on one foot, but it sure would hurt if it actually succeeded.

"Shit!! I didn't know ChargeMan was here!" said ProtoMan as he fell from the room and was holding onto the side of the train.

It connected, and boy did it hurt.

Not only that, it ruined 'Blizzard Man's cover.

Suddenly, Blizzard Man's image seemed foggy and static-like. It began to dissipate into a large, formidable-looking red robot- Dark Man 4.

"Argh! You've ruined the plan!" he shouted metallically. He stumbled backwards, oil oozing out of a giant gash in his torso. He put his hand to cover it, and the buster arm was put upwards to signalize surrender.

In an instant, three more of the Sixth Rebellion bots- Centaur Man, Knight Man, and Tomahawk Man, the other three who stormed out- dissipated into the other three Dark Men, and were restrained by some of the Ninth Rebellion.

"Ergh... This is ridiculous..." Dark Man 1 muttered.

"All right, all right! You caught us! We didn't do anything to Fire Wall. We've never met him before. It was just a ploy Wily told us to use in order to get your 'kindness' image ruined!" Dark Man 2 confessed.

"We have heard from some sources that the chief of police here did something similar to what we described..." Dark Man 3 said sheepishly.

At that, Fake Man shifted uncomfortably over to the left.

"We're sorry! It was Wily's plan to trick the rest of the Rebellions to join him! It's only a job we were given!" Dark Man cried.

Heart-Man was surprised, to say the least. Of all the things he expected...this wasn't really one of them. When the Dark-Men were finished talking, the first thing he did was shoot a glare over at Fake-Man.
"Fake-Man," he said slowly, venom practically dripping from his words, "I understand that you think you were doing the right thing--eradicating a psycho-killer Robot that had done nothing good for this world. Still...you have killed one of my brothers. We shall discuss this more later."

With that, he turned his attention back to the Dark-Men. "My, my, my...I never would've expected to see you guys here. Perhaps Dr. Light should invest in a Robot that's better at detecting spies like you. Tell us where the real Blizzard-Man and company are...and as for you, start praying. We'll decide what to do with you shortly."
Heart-Man turned back to the group of Robots. "Well, what should we do with them? We could just kill them...but sending them back to Wily might strike some fear in the mad doc's head."

The Dark Men looked visibly nervous when they heard the word 'kill'. "They're still back at Wily's hideout! He's got them captive," Dark Man 1 blurted.

"We've heard of your predicament," Dark Man said, "and perhaps we can help. We can smuggle you back into Mobius, but you'll have to play along with us."

Dark Man 2 piped up. "Our teleportation system is still up and running. We should be able to at least send a few of you into Mobius by today. We'd also like to go, if that's fine with you... maybe we could help Light more than we're helping Wily here."

Fake Man, meanwhile, was fidgeting off to the side with his revolver. He knew he would be torn apart by Heart Man and his siblings. Taking advantage of the situation, he quietly slipped away torward the city.

"Which Wily hideout? The Castle here, or the Outpost in Mobius?" Heart-Man inquired with the raise of an eyebrow. You could never get too suspicious when you were interrogating captured foes.
He was also a little surprised to see that they would help them through Wily's Castle, and even moreso to hear they wanted to be good guys. Can I trust them? What would Dive-Man do? Ugh...Dive-Man's not here... Heart-Man turned back to the crowd of Robots once more. "What do you think? Can we repair our own teleporter...and more importantly, can we trust these shapeshifters who have deceived us twice now?"
---
As Fake-Man was creeping away slowly, he was suddenly stopped by a small gang of Robots.
"I believe," Fog-Woman said coldly, "that you are an ally, so why are you creeping away like that? Besides...I think brother Heart-Man would like to have a chat with you."

"Castle here. That's where we saw them last, anyway."

Bright Man stepped forward. "It's impossible to repair the teleporters without having a small team go in first. Their plan seems to be workable."
---
Fake Man nearly jumped out of his armor when he noticed seven robots in front of him. He regained his composure, and started to talk slowly. "I was simply going to get someone, that is all. I am well aware of the chat Heart Man would like with me, and I will talk with him as soon as I'm finished. Now, please let me through, or you'll have the force of the law against you."

"...Fine. I'm not sure how much we can trust you, but it looks like we don't have a choice. But know this--I'm not leaving that building without the real Blizzard-Man and company."
"Release them," Heart-Man commanded, waving towards the Ninth Rebellion. "So, what's the plan, guys? I'm no good at this coming up with plans thing."
---
"That's no reason for you to be creepin' around. You should alert everyone of where you're going and be back as fast as possible...Blackout-Man, go with him and make sure he comes back."
"Hey, who put you in charge--"
"Oh, don't complain, you're the best fit. Now, go."

Sighing quietly to himself, Blackout-Man stood beside Fake-Man and started walking with him. He knew they weren't exactly on the best of terms--on occasion, the gigs he would attend would be crashed for noise complaints, illegal drug use, amongst some other things. "So...who you goin' to go get?"
