Slash Man stopped King Gojulos, and turned around. He noticed a big, gleaming sword on his back. "Finally, someone fighting my kind of style! Go back, buddy. I'll see you soon." The dinosaur tromped away as Slash Man stepped down, and honed his claws. "Let's go, bud. I don't have much time, you know." |

(Starfox 64, said by Falco.) Sebek blocked the slash, and parried. |

(Sorry, I dunno. Although, I don't think that's the first time you've made a reference like that...) Shorde smiled. "I was hoping to get your little pet too, but I guess I can settle for just you." He leapt off the edge of the building and rolled into a ball in midair, landing in front of Slash-Man and sending up clouds of dust all around him. Shorde quickly unrolled and assumed a fighting stance, holding his blade carefully with both hands. "Given how you won last round--" Shorde motioned to all the destroyed buildings in the area--"I'll let you go first this round." |

"With pleasure!" Slash Man said, sharpening his claws and generating sparks by rubbing them together. Then he began to run with his super-speed around Shrode, trying to disorient him. When he was behind him, he charged at Shrode, and threw forward his claws. |

(Magnet, I don't mean to nag, but you keep spelling Shorde's name "Shrode.") "Woah, woah, woah, you're a quick little bugger, ain't ya?" Shorde found himself rapidly spinning, trying to keep track of where Slash-Man was. He eventually lost him, and Shorde was left very dizzy indeed...but perhaps he could use that to his advantage. He held out his blade, and spun again, whipping his sword around in a circular motion. He couldn't keep it up for very long before becoming very disoriented, but he sure hoped it'd be enough to keep Slash-Man from attacking. |

(Oh... So it's kinda like 'sword'? Smart.) Slash Man's claws connected with the blade, somehow. "Argh! That blade is tough..." He started to come out with a furious assualt of Slash Claws, aimed at Shrode. |

(I was dumb back when I gave him his name and I didn't want to change it. And yes, it is pronounced sort of like "sword.") When Shorde stopped spinning, he couldn't tell which way was left or which was right; all he knew was that Slash-Man was forward, and he sure looked angry. In a feeble attempt to parry his attacks, Shorde put up the flat of his blade. He would probably still be slashed anyway, but if he wasn't, he'd recover a lot faster. |

(Check out the RP discussion and you'll see why there wasn't a post 50 minutes earlier.) The giant fortress doors opened, and a medium-sized figure with crazy hair, a large stache, and unmistakable eyebrows appeared. It was Dr. Wily, standing with his arms crossed. Dark Man trembeled for a just a second, then presented his catch. "Look what we dragged with us, boss." At the very front of all the robots was Heart Man and his brothers/sister, shackled and guarded by the other three Dark Man. Wily's eyes lit up in satisfaction. "Wonderful! Very good, Dark Men. This is just what we needed. Hey, Coda, come see this!" At that, a taller figure with a dark black lab coat, foggy glasses, and neat blonde hair appeared. He scanned over the robots, nodded, then noticed his creations. "Despisable," was all he could say. He gave a nasty sneer to all of them, then walked away. "Hmmhmmhmm! Perhaps my creations are better! Come along," Wily said gleefully. He led the robots into the fortress. |

Coda's Robots kept their grim masks of defeat on when they saw Wily at the door, but when Dr. Coda himself appeared in the entry way, their fake grim fear was replaced by a real one. Dr. Coda was the one man they truly feared--like a father to them, except terrifying. He knew everything about Dr. Light's Robots; he knew everything about Dr. Wily's Robots; but the most terrifying thing was he knew everything about them. He had given them nothing but the best when they were his humble servants, but now that they were helping Mega Man...they had expected it, but they were shocked by his choice of words. For a while, they pondered what Coda might do to them if they actually were to be imprisoned. Torture them? Take them apart, and use their parts to build even better Robots? ...Worst of all, take away their intelligence and free will? Luckily for them, they didn't have to find out. They all quietly fell in line behind Dr. Wily, following him to who-knows-where. --- Naturally, Slash-Man's claws danced around Shorde's feeble defenses with ease. Shorde was cut twice--once on his cheek, the other on his torso. Luckily, the cuts weren't deep, and the pain was helping Shorde re-orient himself--he flipped the blade around in front of himself, hoping to discourage further attacks from Slash-Man. |

Slash Man backed off a bit. "Gee whiz! You're more bark than bite, huh? I expected more from you- guess I can have a little fun!" With that, he jumped onto the nearest building, then started to turn red. |

"Oh, my, would you look at that. I guess I'm not doing so well, huh. I've got to apologize...I am just a squishy bio-form, so defense is just a tad more important than it is to you machines." Shorde stared in confusion when he saw Slash-Man's headpiece turn a bright red. "You Robot swordsmen just can't be normal, can you?!" He raised his sword above his head, hoping to ward off what would probably be an assault from above. "Anyone care to clue me in on just what he's doing?" |

Sword Man stepped in front of Shrode, and put his sword up. "I suggest you stand back." Suddenly, Slash Man flied forward and collided with Sword Man, sending him sprawling. "Agh, bloody hell..." he moaned as he clutched his head. Then he began to parry a vicious assualt of Slash Claws aimed at him, while sneaking in the occasional Flame Sword. After a while, they both were exhausted and beaten up. They fell to the ground. Both were breathing hard, when Sword Man stood up, and put his giant sword right next to Slash Man's head. "You have been bested. Surrender, or prepare to fall." |

Seeing that the battle was no longer in his hands, Shorde quietly inched over to where Roll was watching from. Even though it was an honorable challenge, and he felt dishonorable for backing out of it, it was better to get rid of this enemy than to be honorable. So, holding a hand to the injury on his cheek, he quietly watched as Sword-Man battled against Slash-Man. As the fight progressed, Shorde and Roll shared the same thought, but for completely different reasons: Wow, why can't I be that good? When he saw that Sword-Man had won, Shorde quietly walked over to him. "Thanks for jumping in and protecting me like that, Sir Sword-Man...perhaps there are things I should be learning from you." He turned his gaze to the downed Slash-Man. "I thought I could take him, given that the specialty of my species is speed...but I guess these Robots have both speed and defense on their side." --- As they walked through the Castle, Coda's Robots found the place dimly lit--most likely to conceal whatever he might be doing to prisoners of war, like themselves. Blackout-Man dared not light up his lights, as that might give the sign he had more fight in him left. Eventually, Wire-Man found his way over to Dark-Man 3. "My siblings are getting rather worried," he said, "so I believe it would be logical to ask just where Wily is leading us..." |

"You'll be headed to the jail cells at section B4." He leaned torward the newer robot. "We'll see how fast we can break you out, all right?" Sure enough, they reached the B4 room. "Assign them to cages, Dark Men. I have work to do." Wily walked off. There, they saw Blizzard Man and the others, who were sitting glumly. "Well, looks you guys reeled in the rest of them, huh?" Dark Man nodded. "Don't worry. We're going to get you guys out." Blizzard Man was confused, but before he could ask the question, the Dark Men were already assigning cages. |

It would be smart to separate the Coda Robots to keep them from formulating a plan together, so the exact opposite wound up happening--the eight Coda Robots were often placed with at least one other of their siblings. Delete-Man faked a look of despair as he got locked up with Wire-Man. "Okay, so...where do we go from here?" Tide-Man wondered, putting a hand to his chin. "There's probably security everywhere waiting behind those dodgy curtains of darkness...I'm sorry, you know the facility better than I do." He turned to face one of the Dark-Men through the bars of his cell. "Is it even possible to get out of here without anyone knowing?" |

"Well yes, but that doesn't mean it isn't hard. Lucky for us, the only people not called in are basic enemies, and... well, never mind. It's not heavily guarded, let's just keep it at that." Dark Man 2 spoke up. "But what about her-" "Shut up, you imbecile!" Dark Man whispered. "Anyway, the teleporter room is on B3. It'll be really easy to get to- I'd say we'll be able to smuggle in at least one rebellion by the end of today." |
