ProtoMan looked at the control panel next to the door. "An admin controlpad, maybe I can turn off the lock down from here..."ProtoMan thought. ProtoMan started pressing letters and numbers and continued hacking the system for about 5 mins. "Dang this code is hard to crack, at this rate I won't be able to disable the lockdown. |

Heart-Man smiled; at least Vestra was willing to be reasonable. "I think it's very kind of you to want to be helpful, but like I said, us Robots have got feelings too. We've been working with our powers since the time we were constructed, and we're very comfortable with them--if you switched out one of my weapons for something you might think is better, it may actually be, but I wouldn't know how to use the thing, and it would probably overall make me less effective." "Some things you might view as flaws or accidents might actually be our greatest strengths," Blackout-Man added. "For example, the eldest of us; Wire-Man--he's got a defect that's made his arms so weak, he can't have real arms. But this mistake enhanced his design, and it caused our builder to get another idea--instead of putting arms on him, he got deadly cable whips that became his primary means of attack!" "We think it's awfully nice of you to help, but we feel you're helping in the wrong way. Don't feel bad--you're a fine engineer, and I'm certain that if you built eight Robots and tried to take over our world, you'd have more than just a chance. But perhaps there are other ways you can be more helpful to us...say, Vestra, has anyone explained to you what an Energy Tank is?" --- When Roll finally gathered her wits, the first thing to fly off her tongue was "Why did you do that?!" "Train looked to be going about the speed of sound," Shorde said simply, "and it's a natural ability of the Hedgehog species of Mobian to be able to move at the speed of sound itself. We can catch up if we maintain this pace." "Okay, but...what about your sword?" "I'm holding it with my feet. Good thing, too--it's doing a number on the train tracks. If we don't manage to catch up, at least we could possibly derail it." "Doesn't this strike you as being un--" "Oh, we naturally curl into this shape, and I'm almost positive you're not getting hurt. Now, will you enjoy the wind in your hair, or do you have more questions?" Realizing she had no more, Roll fell silent. |

"Oh, nobody bothered to explain to you? Tell her, Tide-Man; you're good at that." "Oh, you're just saying that 'cause you know I'm good at everything." Tide-Man walked over to Vestra, and carefully sat her down. She was smart, but he sure hoped he'd be able to understand what he told her. "Well, to start...we've been warring with Robots back where we come from for a very long time. And it's been a good, long while before we had the technology to build field medics like Heart-Man over there. Despite the absence of the solution, the problem still existed--what if a Robot got injured in the middle of combat? Who could go help them? "Thus, the Energy Tank was born. A bright blue can with a flashing 'E' on it, opening it and drinking its contents will fully heal a Robot to its full capacity. Since its creation mere weeks after the First Wily Rebellion, the things became a staple for combat Robots everywhere, and you may be lucky enough to find one just laying around. "Back where we came from, that is. Needless to say, those don't exist here, but you may be able to create them. Resources are no issue--the most experienced of engineers should be able to build one with nothing but the scrap metal from 30 screws. Considering how useful these things are to us, you would be most helpful if you could build these for us." It was then that Heart-Man approached the two of them again. "There are two of these Energy Tanks stowed away with my weapons. If we get ahold of them, you could use one as a template." |

Bright Man finally managed to gather his wits after deep thinking, but he still had no idea what to do. "We're stuck here until we get a train ourselves. And how do you suppose we do that?" "How about jacking that one?" Ring Man suggested. A large diesel engine was moving across an adjacent train track line at a slow pace. "Well, wouldn't hurt to try... Get them!" The robots pushed the engineers off when it passed them, then raised the speed significantly. "Let's roll!" Suddenly the train was moving across the tracks nearly as fast as Shorde. Their target was the switch up ahead, which would result in a major collision. "Hold on! It's going to be a bad collision!" Bright Man cried. "We'll be seeing each other in the extensive unit..." Toad Man wailed. The train started to pass Shorde, and Bright Man shouted- "I'M DOING SOMETHING STUPID, SO I SUGGEST STOPPING!" --- Shade Man noticed the train behind them, and it started to come closer to the main engine. "Uh oh... Time to flee!" Shade Man flew off and hovered over the train as it roared torward the switch. The 2nd Rebellion saw the train as well, and began to run torward the back, while Charge Man refused to stop. "If this train is hit, I swear-" A calamitous explosion followed and cars and robots alike flew everywhere. |

Vestra: Hmm... Seems simple enough. If I could get a hold of a good power source, I could tweak it into a sort of renewable E-Tank. Then, the explosion. She was quite suprised at that. Edited by FiniteZero, Jan 9 2012, 05:28 PM.

Shorde saw the other train coming by--it probably wasn't so safe to be on the rails when there was another train. With that, he leaped from his Spin-Dash onto the back car of Bright-Man's train. He only had time to re-orient Roll before the two trains collided. --- "Well, then, it's settled--" Heart-Man was cut off by the sound of a loud explosion and the force of being knocked into the air. Of all the rude interruptions! Unbeknownst to him, the Coda Robots that were not captured had boarded the train as well, and the explosion sent them all sprawling in roughly the same direction. At once, they got to their feet, and saw the wreckage. "Oh, bloody scalpels and oil-stained blades," Heart-Man shouted, "the train blew up! I sure hope our weapons are intact..." Shorde watched from atop his train car, one of the few that was still standing. "...Good thing we were a safe distance, right?" |

"Agh... Help me! I'm stuck under here!" a voice cried out. Bubble Man was trapped under an overturned car. Heat Man wasn't so lucky. He wasn't trapped, but he had lost something important to him- his lid. He quickly stood up and looked around for it. "Where's my lid? I need it to start fires! Where is my lid?!" Charge Man had fared much worse. The crash had sent the brake lever straight through his chest. "Son of a... Ugh... Help!" He fell to the ground, oiling out. Metal Man's legs were trapped under an overturned boxcar. "The... the sword..." It was just out of his grasp. He tried to strectch for it, but he was unable to grab it. "Somebody! Get the sword! Or free me!" Not many heard him, as they were either unconsious, or dead. Such was the fate of the Robots who had bravely- or idiotically- crashed their train into the enemy's. Five of them were badly bruised or burned, and some of them were missing limbs. Bright Man was nowhere to be found. Air Man and Flash Man had been knocked unconsious after being thrown from their car into a metal wall. Remarkably, Flash Man's glass and his Time Stopper were undamaged. Quick Man died after being speared by a missile being carried by the train. Wood Man nearly died after catching fire that almost burned his whole body- he was able to put it out before it caused catastrophic damage. Shade Man seemed to be the only undamaged enemy. "The sword! Meep! I'll get it!" He flew torward the askew sword. |

A single Mobian picked up the sword. Sebek. He was injured, his left arm hurt. Vestra got up, and shook her head. She was lucky she didn't break anything, expecially her robotic hand, which was still inactive. Vestra noticed Sebek, and walked over. |

Shade Man looked angrily at Sebek, and swore. He didn't look where he was going, and he crashed against a car. He flipped and fell flat on his face. "Ow..." he muttered. |

Sebek walked over, and gave Vestra the sword. Vestra: Thanks, Sebek. This could come in handy. Paradox finally came to. She got up, damaged. Thankfully, Vestra's repairs held well. Paradox was worried over Dynamite, however. Paradox: Dynamite? Where are you? There was a small groan, barely audable. Paradox ran over, and saw an arm sticking out of the bottom of one of the train cars. Paradox: DYNAMITE!!! Paradox tried lifting the car, but wasn't strong enough. Paradox: Guys! Help me, please! |

"Hey hey, it's you again!" Heart-Man and Tide-Man stomped on Shade-Man's back in unison. "Well, well, well, I think I've seen you before. The tables have turned, though, haven't they, dear?" The other able-bodied Coda Robots fanned out, searching for their weapons. Considering that the explosion hadn't occurred that close to them, they had taken the least serious injuries of all--Shard-Man was in pieces, and Wire-Man was missing his cable whips, but all of those were relatively easy fixes. --- Suddenly, Shorde's watch glowed a bright blue. He stared at it, to see it was a video from Proto Man. And from the sound of it, he wasn't doing too good. "Hey, Proto! Long time, no see! Anyway, I'm in a bit of a tangle myself...how quick do you need help?" Meanwhile, Roll jumped down from the train car, seeing that Vestra was now holding her sword. "Give that here," she said coldly, "now." |

Vestra noticed Roll. Vestra: Oh, this is yours? Here ya go. Vestra gave it to Roll. She then noticed Paradox. Vestra: Huh. That's not good. We should go help her. Vestra and Sebek walked over to lift it up, but it was still too heavy. |

(Too bad. It's tradition for Sonic upgrades to be articles of clothing, so it's a watch now. Not to mention he'd have trouble carrying it if that were so.) "Oh, nothing much, just HALF OF OUR REINFORCEMENTS ARE DEAD IN A TRAIN WRECK. On top of that, I don't know where to find you!" To illustrate his point, he pointed the watch at the destruction around him. While Shorde was busy arguing with Proto Man, Roll found her way over to Metal-Man. She kept pointing at his face with Virus, and drew a little circle in the dust with it. "What are you 'oh, man'ning about? I thought I was just a weak, helpless girl to you...?" Heart-Man put his shoulder on top of his knee. "Oh, yeah? And why should we trust you? Unless you've got our weapons, you're virtually useless to us. You've got an audience; now start telling us just why you're worth our time." |

"Oh, for the love of Wily, I meant we could get the people that are trapped out! For example... Your friends in that train?" Shade Man pointed to the diesel lying on its side. Toad Man looked at the ground under him. A pool of oil was steadily gaining size. "God... How did this... What..." He could barely get any words out at his astonishment. He looked over at the engine. An orange buster was lying under it. "Bright Man! Oh my Cossack! Help! Bright Man is trapped! Help!" Shade Man pushed Heart Man off with a bit of suprise, then ran over to Toad Man. "You're going to have to push with me!" They both tried to push the giant object, but to no avail. "Help us! We're trying to get Bright Man out!" Out of the corner of his eye, Shade Man saw a car racing torward the train, with a lion-like...thing and a giant spring on it, along with a castle-like object. "Oh, good. They're coming to help." Sure enough, it was Turbo Man, Spring Man, and Slash Man. Turbo Man quickly raced over to Roll. "Hey hey hey, wait a sec. Metal Man will be much more helpful to use alive then dead right now, Roll. Think about this for a second... Let's put the sword down and help Metal Man out." "My Wily... What happened to you?" "Somebody decided it was a good idea to crash into my train..." Charge Man limped out of the engine with Burst Man's help. The brake lever was still in his chest. "I'm sure I'll be scrapped now... I'll be held responsible, and Wily will dismantle me... I just wish I never signed up, and stayed with the museum..." Charge Man sat on the ground. "No more brothers... No more Photon... No more trains... No more children..." He wiped his eyes, then sat there, wishing to be undisturbed. |

"...I know who you were talking about, punk. Poison, keep an eye on him, and sh...restrain him the second he does anything funny." Heart-Man sighed; he was rather frustrated without his weapons. As long as he didn't have his weapons, he was useless in this situation. So many people needed his care... Tide-Man lumbered over to the engine, and gave it a powerful kick. Most of his strength was in his legs, and since they weren't lifting anyway... --- "Why does everyone think they can just tell me what to do?!" Roll stomped on the ground, unintentionally hitting one of Metal-Man's hands. "I will not drop my guard, especially now that you clowns are here." Roll stuck the tip of her blade into the ground, and stared at Charge-Man coldly. "If you loved it all sooooo much, why'd you give it away for a job you hated? I guess it's only natural...coming from someone that crackpot Wily built." |
