Charge Man's eye twitched. "Excuse me, Ms. Perfect, but at least I can actually fight. At least the Robots Wily made can fight! You're nothing more than a housemaid!" He grabbed onto the brake lever, and with a great heave, pulled it straight out of his chest. "Next time someone insults my maker, this lever is going straight to the back of their head." "As many imperfections as he had, at least he took care of us! He was our father! He was our friend! Unlike your stupid idiot of a creator, who sits around all day looking at a computer screen, my creator puts his talents to use! They might not be in the best intentions, but damnit, it gave you a hell of a lot of friends after your brother swayed us over!" "And I didn't have a choice. Wily would've scrapped me anyway if I didn't go. Besides, I got to do something I loved to do when I signed up, so you'd better shut your mouth! As much as I want to shove this pole down your blasted throat, I know how bad that would make Heat Man feel, so I'll refrain from doing that. Now, if you will excuse me, I have work to do uncovering my colleagues. And if you even dare try and stop me, so help me, I will personally see to it that you are sent straight back to your useless piece of scrap of a father, disgraced and mortified!" With that, Charge Man huffed off, steam pouring out of his smokestack. Charge Man got over to the train Bright Man was under. "Excuse me, but I believe I might be able to get him free." He then delivered a giant Charge Kick, combined up with all the rage he had inside of him, which flung the train back a few yards. "Bright Man... Oh, no..." His body was shattered, his light bulb was smashed, his left foot disestablished. It was safe to say he was a mess. Right next to him was a bunch of surgical equipment. "Sigh... Heart Man, I think this might be yours." |

Vestra: ...Guys, stand back. Sebek and Paradox did so. Vestra walked back a bit, and closed her eyes. She thought about many things. Things that got her angry. That got her PISSED. She was starting to Beserk already. She slowly opened her eyes, looked at the train car, and rushed at it, punching it with extreme force. The car flew about ten or so yards before smashing into the ground. Vestra: And THAT'S how it's done. Dynamite Woman slowly got up, staggering a bit. Dynamite: ...Ooooowwww... |

Heart-Man said nothing in reply. Instead, he backed a few paces away. Finding himself next to Fog-Woman, he spoke briefly to her--"You think that'd do it?" "If that doesn't set her off, it beats me what will." "Agreed." Heart-Man nodded to the other Coda Robots, and they all backed away in a similar manner (Save for Delete-Man, still sprawled out on the floor). He then crossed his arms over his chest, and stared observantly at Roll. "It's about time we all see just what she can do." --- Roll was speechless. Herself, her family name, her fighting prowess...she would need another hand to count all the insults Charge-Man had delivered. Of course, this did nothing to help the bad temper she'd been in all day, and she was about to reply to his sudden barrage... When all of a sudden, a strange feeling made itself known in her hand. She knew the feeling all too well as it traveled up her arm, but this was different from the stabbing pain from earlier. It felt more like a very tense pressure, as if she were deep underwater. Without any real desire to make it stop, she let the feeling cover her completely. While she felt all this, she failed to notice the changes happening outside. As the feeling spread over her, her armor changed from hot pink and bright red to a pure white and shiny gold. Virus grew from a one-handed to a two-handed sword, and she gripped it with both hands without thinking. Its edges became sharper and more defined, overall producing a much more frightening effect. "Told you so," she heard someone mutter as her transformation came to an end. It didn't matter who said it; she recognized their voice as an ally. Charge-Man, on the other hand, was not. In fact, this place was crawling with enemies; why was everyone being so calm? Roll calmly hoisted her blade over her shoulder. Then, carrying it with the one hand, she slowly walked over to Charge-Man. "Hey, Charge-Man. Send me back to daddy, disgraced and mortified?" She clenched her free hand into a fist, and punched him straight in the face. "Try me, Wily-bot!" |

"Hey, isn't this-" Charge Man was cut off by being punched in the back of his head. He went flying into the engine he had kicked moments earlier. "All right, who had the bright idea to- Roll?! What the devil do you think you're doing?" Charge Man shouted angrily. "Oh, yes. Well, perhaps I might have under-estimated you. But if it's a fight you want, then you'll get one!" Charge Man brandished the brake lever like a sword. He knew it wouldn't take much hits, but he intended to at least parry the sword attacks, and perhaps do some damage of his own. "Let's see what you've got, shorty!" he taunted. |

Shorde slyly evaded the topic of the Outpost rescue. He had enough problems right now. "Uh, yeah...I think that's what she said her name was. Why, you know her?" He pointed his watch to capture the image of Roll, but he was having trouble spotting her...where had she gone? "Hey, Proto, do you see her?" --- Poison-Man quickly pulled Vestra over to the group of Coda Robots. She would be safe there. "Good is relative to the situation," Heart-Man said without turning to look at her, "this could be very good or terribly bad for us. One thing you should know, though, is that this is powerful. There are many differences between this Roll and the Roll you're familiar with...I don't know what your anger outbursts are like, but this kid here could raze entire cities. We'll see where it goes, though...and if need be, we'll intervene." --- If Roll thought anything of Charge-Man's comment, she certainly didn't show it. She heaved Virus off of her shoulder, then carefully gripped it with two hands. "You are an enemy," she said, "and enemies are to be eliminated." With that, she swiftly hoisted her blade up and swiped through the air for a horizontal slash, pulling one foot up in case her attack succeeded. |

Charge Man swiftly evaded the the slash, then tripped her other foot with the pole. "I'm disgusted with this. They've-" he pointed at the Coda robots, singling out Heart Man- "they've changed you into a monster! A monotonous monster bent on destroying former friends!" And the least they could do is make you better at fighting! he thought to himself. He then swung the pole down on Roll's right arm, denting it. Why must I do this? She'll never forgive me... Oh, why do you care, she liked you the least anyway! Another swing, hitting her right foot. |

Upon seeing Charge-Man point at him, Heart-Man froze. Oh, no...they have Coda's support; they've gotta know all about what Virus can do! That raises even more worrying questions...if they know about it, why is he still trying to fight her? And more importantly, what's Coda going to do now that he doesn't have that technology? --- "An enemy is far from my friend. I guess your processor has more errors than I thought." Roll slowly got to her feet once more, and dusted herself off. When Charge-Man came in for another strike, she let go of Virus with her left hand, then shot out and grabbed the lever. "Please, Wily-bot, this is far from your specialty." She snatched the bar away from him, and tossed it away. "And in case you hadn't figured it out yet...I'm just getting started." Gripping Virus with two hands again, she swiftly brought it over her head. This move left her rather open, so to keep Charge-Man in his toes, she tried delivering a weak kick to him. |

"You're trying to kick me? Ha! And you think I'm stupid!" He delivered a Charge Kick right to her chest, sending her sprawling and knocking Virus out of her hand. "I know all about the repairs Heart Man might've made- and you acting like this only confirms it. We all do! I doubt he's told you yet." "Roll, I suggest getting rid of those upgrades as soon as possible. They can put your allies in extreme danger," he added gravely. "And it's changing you into believing you are better than all of us, that we are all inferior, just like them. And I couldn't stand to see you like that. Don't you even remember what the first thing we did after a rebellion? We tried to make it up to you and your brother! I remember what I did clearly... and I also remember you didn't initially appreciate it... but beside the point. Get those 'upgrades' out- now. It will only mean negative things for you and your friends in the future. I apologize about what I said about your creator, you, your family... I was just so angry and sad about everything that I snapped." "Now, where is Bubble Man again?" He chugged off, looking for any robot in need of assistance. |

Finally, Heart-Man could take it no longer. "Poison, Fog, restrain her! Make sure she stays that way!" They quickly moved in, pinning Roll to the ground. Barely able to comprehend what was happening, she feebly reached for Virus. "Must...destroy...enemy..." Heart-Man dashed forward with Tide-Man, each grabbing hold of one of Charge-Man's arms. They started walking him back towards Roll, keeping him off of the ground so he couldn't get away. "You have no idea what you're meddling with, do you, Charge-Man?! Let's start at the beginning...she's not supposed to know about any of this. It's cruel, yes, but she has to piece it together herself. You're lucky she's not going to remember any of this when she reverts to normal. "Now, I see you thinking she's weak, and she sort of still is--even in this heightened aggressive state with the finest weaponry, she still lacks experience and the know-how to take people down. This goes for her 'upgrades' as well--the more she experiences them, the less violent her tendencies will become. To be honest, this is the first time she's released her anger...you're lucky you got to deal with this version instead of The Infectant. By now, Tide-Man and Heart-Man were holding Charge-Man about fifteen feet away from Roll. "...You must be clueless about Virus' true powers. There is no going back now. Once its latent powers have been activated, they cannot be removed or changed. It's a failsafe Coda programmed, in case someone else tried to tamper with the sword. Furthermore..." Okay, here we go... "This wasn't forced upon her. I offered it to her, and she accepted." Suddenly, the two threw Charge-Man onto the ground, pinning him by stomping on him. "Let that sink in for a second, buddy! She wanted this...she accepted the dangers of Virus' true power because she wanted nothing more than to be strong enough to bring evildoers like you down! She's got her errors, sure, but this is what she wanted! That is Roll now...and if you can't handle it, sounds like you need to change, not her!" Edited by CHAOS_FANTAZY, Jan 10 2012, 06:49 PM.

"What? No going back!? You monsters! What the hell have you done to her!? Ever since that damned day... Nothing has ever been the same! It's all thanks to you and your idiotic doctor!" With great strength, he pushed the two robots off of himself. Turbo Man and Slash Man restrained them. "I can't believe you... I can't believe any of this! You decided to change the most innocent of us into a hard, cold-blooded killer!? That's it... That's it... I can't wait to see Mega Man's expression to this news... Or Dr. Light's!" He lowered his head, and growled violently: "I know very well what I'm dealing with- overconfident demons that think they can do whatever they want..." "You know what? Fuck you! Fuck you and your and your creator! This has happened all because of you! And that sword! It's the goddamn jewel in the crown! Get out of here! Get out of here right now, and if you don't, I will break your heads off and turn you into oily heaps of scrap metal!" Everyone's eyes were focused onto the Coda Rebellion bots. Charge Man was starting to blow black, billowy smoke, the same that showed he was extremely sad or angry. Toad Man wiped his eyes constantly, oblivious to the fact that he was still losing oil. And all the others glared at Heart Man with varying degrees of anger and sadness. Turbo Man shoved him off. "Take your pet project with you, too," he said curtly, pointing to Roll. |

Heart-Man would not take to being shoved around. Someone else wouldn't take to it either. Poison-Man sprung from his place of pinning down Roll, while Blackout-Man flew in to take his place. "Nobody roughs up my bro around here but me!" With a huge degree of strength, he threw a haymaker punch straight at Turbo-Man. Meanwhile, Heart-Man stood up and dusted himself off. "...What I have told you is the honest truth. She chose to take Virus' true power, and that is that. If it makes me a monster, so be it. If that makes her a monster, so be it! We're all bloody monsters, huh, and you're angels and saints! What we are doesn't matter, we still hate you and we're going to kill you!" "You know, you're lucky Coda came along to drag her in instead of Wily! No innocence lasts in a war, because war is hell, and you sure aren't helping it get any better! I thought I might be able to reason with you...depending on your response, I was even going to offer your whole troop repairs. Now I see that would've been the dumbest thing I could've done! The one you think you're saving...she did this to herself because of people like YOU!" Tide-Man quietly walked Heart-Man back to the other Coda robots, while he reached over and powered Delete-Man on again. After he jumped to his feet again, Fog-Woman added, "By the way, we aren't leaving without our weapons. And if we have to tear down every single one of you to get them, then fine! We'll rip your entire troop apart with our damn bare hands!" |

Charge Man fumed. "Because of people like us..." Then his expression softened. "Because of people like us..." Then he just sat, mumbling the phrase over and over as if trying to find a deeper meaning. Finally, he got angry again, picked up the brake lever, and swung it across Heart Man's face, hard. "We were her friends!" He bashed the lever against Heart Man's chest. "Her family!" Another to his arm. "Her cousins, brothers, sisters!" Three more hits. "You came along to ruin it!" His strongest knocked the wind right out of Heart Man. Then, he stooped down on his hands and knees, and began to cry. "We were people she liked..." he sobbed quietly. Turbo Man recovered from the punch delivered onto him, and glared at all eight of them. "Enough of this. Get out." "How do we know if she accepted it herself?" a voice cried out. "Did you even tell her what would happen? Did she even know of the side-effects?" another sounded. A paticular robot stood up- Dust Man. "I never thought to believe this... but it looks like we now have two Vestras..." he muttered under his broken shell. "And to think it's unreversable..." "And what is this Infectant you speak of? Is this another dangerous side-effect she doesn't know about?" another voice spoke. "I'm suprised you would do this after trying to win Mega Man's friendship!" yet another robot said. Charge Man had finally stopped, and he glared at the robots in front of him. "It's a good thing my wrist communicator still works..." he muttered angrily. "I'm sure I can tap into the frequency of Dr. Light's lab..." he said quietly, tinkering with the controls. Turbo Man, Shade Man, Slash Man, Spring Man, and Burst Man stood to protect him. "Lay a finger on the communicator or Charge Man and we'll bash you into Junk Man's new armor." |

Heart-Man stumbled backwards, and once again fell onto his knees. Five blunt injuries...if they had been sharp, oil would be leaking from him like a fountain. His circuits felt choked...was this the end...? No. I won't die now. I count for two lives. Heart-Man slowly got to his feet, and leaned against a broken train car for support. Practically feeling his way through his cables, he found the will to speak. "...We would have just picked our weapons up and walked away. But this...this just got personal. Rip their heads off, guys!" At once, Fog-Woman and Blackout-Man raised one of their hands each. They simultaneously delivered a chop to the top of Roll's head, and at once, she was knocked out. Her colors slowly drained and returned to normal, and the two Coda Robots got to their feet in an instant. "YEEE-AAAAAHHHHH! TIME TO BREAK SOME HEADS!" Poison-Man threw his entire body at the group, hoping to bulldoze right through them. Delete-Man stood by Heart-Man, beginning to generate glass orbs for support. He was about to fire, but Heart-Man put up a hand and stopped him. "N--no, Delete-Man, don't do that...over there, by the engine...my equipment. There should be...two Energy Tanks over there. Take one if you need it...and bring one to me." "I understand, brother." Shard-Man shattered the glass orbs in his hands, and made a mad dash for the engine. |

Charge Man ducked his way through the wreckage of the trains, Shade Man and Turbo Man with him. "Agh, finally! Dr. Light, Dr. Light, come in! This is an emergency!" --- Dr. Light was feeling rather proud of himself. He had finished five of his new robots. "Ahh... I guess I'll rest a bit now. Three more, and Wily's forces will be ousted out of Mobius for-" "Dr. Light, Dr. Light, come in! This is an emergency!" With concern, Light picked up the communicator. "Yes, what's going on?" "You are aware Roll is here, correct?" "Yes... Why do you ask?" "Boy, do I have some choice news for you! You are aware that Heart Man is here, too?" "Yes, of course... I had been informed of Dark Man's plan. He's a smart one, indeed." "Dark Man? What di- Oh, that's besides the point! Earlier, he made some modifications to Roll!" "What? Modifications!? He never recieved my consent!" "Exactly, and he's changed Roll, drastically!" "To do what?" "He's made her a war machine, Doctor. A war machine! She couldn't even remember my name!" "Who is this, anyway?" "Charge Man, Doctor!" "Charge Man? How did you get to my frequency?" "Not enough time! The Coda bots- they've changed her into a war machine!" "My... my little girl... is..." "Yes! Sh- Augh! I'm hit! Shade! Turbo! Help me!" "Are you all right?" "Agh... My arm..." "Charge Man, get back to Monsteropolis as quick as possible. Do you understand?" "Yes, sir!" The transmission was cut. Dr. Light slumped into his chair, fear overcoming him. "My little girl..." he muttered quietly. --- "We've got direct orders to head back to Monsteropolis, on the double!" "How will we get there in time?" "Turbo... Can you carry us?" Turbo Man seemed flabbergasted. "Well, maybe... I dunno." "Get into car form! Now! We have to get there! We have to tell him!" Turbo Man nodded, and complied. Charge Man got onto the back, and Shade Man clinged to him. "Go! Go!" Charge Man shouted. The car roared out of the wreckage, straight torward Wily's outpost. |

"...Things are really heating up, Proto, I'll call you back. By the way, from the looks of it, you got company headin' your way. Get ready." Shorde leaped down from his perch on the train car. Without speaking a word to anyone, he picked up Virus from where it had landed during the battle--now in its original form again--walked over to Roll, and carefully slid it into her sheath. I don't care what anyone says, he thought to himself, a knight deserves to carry their sword with them. Then he leaned against the still-standing train car, resting for a minute. As soon as he was back to his one hundred percent, he would give Proto a hand. Turbo-Man sure sounded like a fast name, but with other people riding him, he was sure he wouldn't be going as fast as he could-- Wait a second. Turbo-Man was only carrying Charge-Man and Shade-Man. Which meant the springy guy, the castle guy, and...Chief Ancient History still had to be here. Shorde jumped back atop the train, and grabbed hold of his sword. --- "Yeah, that's right, you'd better run! We'll find you sooner or later...and when we do, we'll paint the walls with your oil!" As Poison-Man continued his cocky banter with the retreating group, The other Coda Robots were distraught. Fog-Woman tried to contact Dr. Light to try to convince him otherwise, but no dice--the connection was too far away, and the Coda Robots had never bothered to sync up to Dr. Light's Lab. Meanwhile, Delete-Man neared the engine. "Ah, yes, here they are..." he carefully picked up Heart-Man's tools and weapons, trying to ignore Bright-Man lying there. He carefully started carrying them back to where Heart-Man was, shifting his eyes around to look for any surprise attacks. Not only had every Wily person who showed up not left, but the Second Rebellion Robots had varied in levels of injury... Edited by CHAOS_FANTAZY, Jan 10 2012, 08:54 PM.
