When Shuttle-Man was finally finished rattling off all the details, Roll was speechless from shock. In the moment of silence that followed, she looked back and forth from her new brothers to the dead Robots they were carrying, and back again. One of the Coda Robots whispered within their group, "that should do it," and got ready to run if necessary.

Sure enough, whoever had said it was correct, and Roll's dumbfounded expression slowly hardened into one of anger unrestrained. "...I'm not sure which I'm disgusted more by...the sight of this dead Rebellion, or the knowledge that my new brothers killed them! I know this is war, and I know we must kill, but you didn't have to this time! There was no excuse for you to kill them...and certainly not this brutally! I only do it because I have no choice...who do you think you are?!"
Roll was so busy going to great lengths to insult the New Light Series, she failed to notice the wave of the all-too-familiar sharp pain coming from Virus. Slowly but surely, as her anger continued, her red and pink armor gave way to an acidic green and a gray indistinguishable from black...

Signal Man noticed this change, and took a step back. Drat... She's turning into that... that thing again...

Watt Man was oblivious to the changes. "We're the Light Advanced Series, miss, told to end the war as soon as possible at all means necessary. Now, if yo-" Just then, he noticed the sickly green color of her armor. "...you will excuse me," he said, "we'll be bringing these men to the infirmary."

They uneasily walked past her, but they took no more then three steps when Heat Man groaned. "Argh... how much trouble do you have to give us?" Lift Man said angrily.

"Shut it! He's not conscious... yet," Gust Man said. He laid him out on the ground, checking his injuries. "Why does he continue to fight when he knows he's lost? It's as if he has some sort of fanatical devotion to someone..."

"Never mind that, Gust Man, let's get moving," Watt Man said uneasily, pointing to Roll. Gust Man quickly scooped up the semi-conscious Heat Man, and went off with his brothers.

The Coda Robots quietly watched from their corner, most watching with interest. Knowing exactly what was occurring, of course, they felt safer than most. As Roll's transformation progressed, Poison-Man broke the group's silence: "...So, who else thinks she pulls off those colors really well? Add a visor, and she'd look really dange--"
He was interrupted by a quick slap from Heart-Man. "That's the least of our concerns; currently, she is dangerous, and if we don't shove it, we might become the subjects in danger." He didn't need anyone else's reponse to know that they all agreed. "On three, then?"
"Yup. Three!"
---
As the Coda Robots dashed off-course to who-knew-where, Roll wanted to stop her tirade and accept the fact that they would do everything to repair them. For some reason, though, she couldn't bring herself to calm down--almost as if some outside force was keeping her in this state.
Then she noticed the sharp pain. She still couldn't pin the source of it, but it worried her immensely. Suddenly, she quickly drew Virus from its sheath, although she did not want to. The last things she could recall before she "blacked out" were the feeling of fear, and Virus becoming heavier in her hand.

Overcome with her anger, Roll was no longer in control of herself. Everyone thought she was a monster--well, it was time she showed them what a monster she could be. Dashing at the back of the retreating Light Series, she was quickly upon them. Holding her sword tightly at her side, she shouted in a loud, vicious voice that Roll would never use otherwise: "I WASN'T DONE TALKING TO YOU!" With that, she halted her sprint, and the kinetic energy from her run went straight to her blade--aiming a mighty upward slash at whoever happened to be the person unfortunate enough to be at the back.

Signal Man barely missed being hit, and instead he saw some blue figure get slashed. "Scramble!" he shouted to his brothers, and they all fanned out in different directions. Only Watt Man stayed the course of getting Crash Man to the base.

All the time, he continually said 'All my fault, all my fault, all my fault'. He promised himself he would get Crash Man to safety- even if it killed him.
---
Shuttle Man picked himself off the floor, and dashed the way he came. He was scared- not only for himself, but for his brothers, too.
---
Dive Man was taken aback from the sudden shout, and ordered everyone in the congregation to get out immediately.

Dust Man was unfortunate enough to be caught in the sight of Roll's sword. He whirled around, and attempted to block an incoming slash-

-when he was pushed out of the way by someone else. Incredulously, he looked to see what foolish idiot took the blade.

It was Mega Man, lying on the ground, a huge gash in his stomach. Oil was leaking from his wound like a fountain.

Dust Man pulled him off his feet, and carried him to cover. "Mega Man!? Are you OK?!"

"Oh, this? Heh, it's nothing... Ow..." Mega Man moaned.

Mega Man weakly took a look at Roll. She'd be devestated if she hit Dust Man... he thought quietly. He then groaned as pain took over. It seemed like the awful wounds of fighting Roll were sadly reopened, and nobody would ever understand what he went through, with the feelings of undescribable sadness flooding his systems. Dust Man could only say a shadow went over his face, and it would stay there for a long time.

"It doesn't feel so good to be terrified, does it?!" Roll shouted as she felt her blade hit metal. Uncaring who the victim was, she stepped over them and kept running. Watching her prey scatter put her in a very bad mood, though--they would all fall much faster if they stayed together. Of course, as she was, she showed no reaction--Roll continued charging forward, straight after Watt-Man. He had lied to her, and for that, he would pay with oil.

Watt Man looked behind him and noticed Roll dashing toward him. He pushed his feet to go faster than his comfort limit. Carrying Crash Man in his arms now, he made a mad dash for the base. "Drill Man! Get to the front of the base and give me cover!"
---
Drill Man dashed to the front of the base when he heard the urgent message. When he opened the door, Watt Man collided with him, and the three of them headed to the ground. "Sorry! Buy me some time from her, please!" Watt Man scooped Crash up from the ground, and dashed off to the infirmary.

Drill Man stared at the 'she' in question, and readied his Drill Bombs. "Halt! You cannot pass."

Upon seeing the collision, Roll didn't slow down one bit--not that she was thinking much at this point anyway, but Drill-Man was just another person to bulldoze through. Screeching to a halt in front of him, she quickly brought her sword up for one, two, three horizontal slashes. Not caring if they connected, she knew that would be enough to get him out of the way, and she continued her rush towards Watt-Man.

Time's up.

Vestra, showing up for again no real reason, noticed the combat going on. She walked over and tapped Roll on the shoulder.

Vestra: What are you doing?

Drill Man stumbled backwards, barely missing the sword swings. When he saw that she was headed for Watt Man, he quickly buried underground. He jumped up right in front of her, and put his arms forward. "I don't think you heard me correctly! I said, no entry!"

He burrowed underground again, but this time came up spinning at Roll like a torpedo. Firing two Drill Bombs made it even more dangerous to stand in front of him.
---
Watt Man had hidden away underground, hoping Roll wouldn't find him. Telling the guards to hide as well, he dove into one of the minecarts among ten or so, and waited, hoping he would not be found.

Feeling a hand on her shoulder, Roll instantly whirled around and punched Vestra with her free arm, knocking her away for the time being. She was relatively upset to see that she had hurt a bio-form instead of a Robot, but she quickly shrugged it off and turned her attention back to Drill-Man.

And not a moment too soon. Roll managed to knock one of the Drill Bombs away by hitting it with the flat of her sword, but she was too slow for the other--it ran into her and exploded, knocking her off of her feet.
Quickly jumping up again, she noted that Watt-Man had disappeared. "Oh, well," she growled, looking around as if expecting him to appear from nowhere, "he'll be soon after you." Roll held her sword tightly in both hands and rushed Drill-Man again--this time aiming for one powerful stab, which she would throw herself into as soon as she was close enough.

Vestra: Not cool!

She pulled out her gun, set it to regular bullets, and fired at Roll.

Drill Man was barely able to avoid the stab. It connected with his left drill holder. "I do not intend to barely stay alive a third time, miss! If I have to blow you to bits, so be it." He burrowed underground yet again, this time coming right underneath Roll. He surfaced with his drills spinning, knocking Roll into the ceiling. At the very least, it would cause some pain. At most it could greatly disorient her or even knock her out. And with the damage done with his drills, he knew she didn't come out of it unscathed.

Something he was shocked at is how she still managed to hold onto the sword. "Odd... it's like the damn thing is welded on her," he muttered to himself. This partly held some truth- she used to carry it often before the war. Yet it didn't seem right... it's as if the sword had a mind of its own.

He couldn't quite remember what Heart Man said at the moment, but his 'gut feeling' told him to try and disarm the sword. He fired a Drill Bomb at the sword, hanging loosely in her hand.

Upon hearing Vestra fire a shot, Roll was rather confused. Why were so many willing to attack her? She was supposed to be a terrifying monster that everyone was scared of! As Drill-Man burrowed into the ground again (What a coward), Roll threw her head back and screamed a crazy war cry. Hopefully, she thought to herself, that'll make her think twice before she rushes me again--

Her thoughts were interrupted when she felt herself being knocked into the air--no doubt, Drill-Man's doing. When she slammed into the ceiling, her armor continued to take most of the damage for her, but she still flinched--and for one crucial moment, she closed her eyes and loosened her grip on Virus.
And, apparently, that was all her opponent needed. As another Drill Bomb charged into her and exploded, she was forced to let go of the blade, and it clattered to the ground. She knew she couldn't do much damage without Virus, but she also knew it wasn't going anywhere--she would have to find a moment to pick it up again. In the meantime, she needed to stun Drill-Man. Quickly pulling her legs up, Roll kicked off of the ceiling, launching herself straight at Drill-Man.

Drill Man ducked under the attack, but she smashed his left 'hand' again, damaging it more. He uttered a curse, and charged for the blade. "I am unsure why you continue to fight, but I will kick your ass even if I only have a shovel- err, drill to do it with!"

"And the best way to do that is to disarm you!" He fired a Drill Bomb right at the sword...

...which bounced up from the recoil and stabbed him in the chest. "...OK, that was a bad idea..." He fell to the ground, writhing in pain. Somehow, he managed to knock it out, but he sat on the ground, unable to move much more. "That sword is the Devil..." he muttered to himself.

Vestra picked it right up.

Vestra: ...Huh. What's this?

Vestra noticed it was starting to burn her robotic hand.

Vestra: Good thing I didn't put pain sensors in this arm... Should last long enough for me to scan it.

Vestra's robotic eye began scanning the sword, it's specifications and technology.

(So wait; the Drill Bomb stabbed Drill-Man, or Virus did? Not that it particularly matters, but you sort of lost me.)

Roll cracked a sinister smile as she watched Drill-Man practically defeat himself. She would kill him off in a few seconds--as soon as her sword was in her hands again.
A quick look around revealed that Vestra had come up again and taken it--ugh! Was that girl afraid of anything? Nonetheless, she was looking over Virus, and she had to get it back. Roll quickly tucked in her arms, getting into position to tackle Vestra with her shoulder--yes, that should knock the blade loose. As she started running at Vestra, Roll shouted a familiar cry: "GIVE THAT BACK!"
---
Fog-Woman had been separated from the other Coda Robots, and so to keep a good view of where Roll had gone, she had quickly scaled a building. She only hoped that the group wouldn't get any further separated.
She noticed that being atop a building made her much more of a target, so she raised her buster into the air and fired off the Stealth Fog. Normally, the ability would only last a few seconds, but she could continuously fire it (Though this kept her from using her buster to shoot hailstones). Through her hazy cloud, Fog-Woman carefully watched the city streets, wondering just where those crazed shouts were coming from.

Vestra held up a finger.

Vestra: Hold on a sec, be patient! I'm almost done scanning it.

She tilted the blade slightly, and now it was pointed right at Roll, though Vestra did this only to get a better view of the blade.

(He fired the Drill Bomb, and the sword bounced up and impaled him.)

Drill Man, admist the confusion, crawled to a corner and into a closet unseen. He used a secret cargo teleporter to get down to the underground level. Unaware of what level Watt Man was on, he hid himself among some of the oil barrels lying around. He did remember it was wise to hide until she calmed down, but that prospect seemed to be entirely impossible.
---
Sleet Man had trouble carrying the numerous parts of Air Man, so Gust Man traded with him. He was now carrying Heat Man, who was always muttering something and twitching. He couldn't quite make it out what that word was, but he decided it wasn't important.

Aware that Watt Man had continued to the base with Crash Man, Sleet Man became increasingly worried. He hid in a warehouse and laid Heat Man down. Then, with some remorse, he quickly slapped his face.
---
Heat Man shot up and said, "Roll?" Instead of that, he found himself looking at Sleet Man. "Agh! What are you, a ghost? You're as white as snow!" He then remembered he was one of the people at the slaughter of his brothers.

"Hey, I know you. You killed Air Man! Why, I oughta..." Sleet Man raised his hand again threateningly, and Heat Man rubbed the mark where it hit last time. "Errr... Never mind. Where are the others?"

Sleet Man only shrugged.

"Where's Roll?" was his second question.

Sleet Man brought him outside, and pointed to the base.

"I have to go after her! Stay here, I'll come back soon." He was just about to charge away, but Sleet Man grabbed his hand.

"What? What's the matter?"

Heat Man then heard the scream. Sleet Man said flatly in a very soft voice, "That."

(Un)fortunately, with Roll's current state of mind, she was in no mood for slowing down. She continued her reckless charge at Vestra, no doubt in her mind that she would be holding her sword again in seconds--
No doubt, that is, until she felt it bury itself in her shoulder. Naturally, Virus pierced her armor like butter, and for the first time, Roll felt pain that she wasn't protected from. With the tip of Virus buried in her shoulder, she was suddenly acutely aware of just how sharp and dangerous her blade was.
As soon as it occurred to her that that measurement was "a lot," Roll screamed--not a war cry like the others, but a scream of agony. As much as it pained her, though, she wouldn't stop fighting here. Grabbing hold of the hilt with her uninjured arm, she tried to wrench the blade away from Vestra's grip.
---
From her perch on the city, Fog-Woman heard the scream. She only wondered who delivered it--sure, it sounded like Roll, but only as much as Dark-Man had looked like Blizzard-Man. Perhaps someone had defeated The Infectant? At this stage, it was still possible, especially considering how easy it had been for her to restrain The Protectant...
Wanting to find out (and lend her support if The Infectant wasn't down yet), Fog-Woman jumped down from the building. Like all Robots, she was built to take a lot of falling--landing on her feet, her boots absorbed all of the shock. On her way towards the base, though, she passed a warehouse--and there were two other Robots outside. One was a yellow box that looked as if it had received a lot of blunt damage--no surprise, given his shape. She quickly identified him as Heat-Man. The other Robot, however, was in perfect condition and was foreign to Fog-Woman.

Quickly deciding that there was safety in numbers, she came up behind the group. "Hey, there! Let's see here, Heat-Man...could've sworn you were out cold, and yet here you are on your feet. I don't understand how, but whatever--you're far from a threat right now. And you..." she paused for a moment, examining the white Robot. He had a couple deep blue lines streaking over him, but other than that, he was mostly just white and black. One of the lines caught her eye, though--it was not a deep blue, but a bright red. And even more eye-catching was the fact it was mostly empty of that color.
She looked at the back of her buster hand--yes, she had a bit of a similar design. A cross between a snowflake and a star was printed there, and it, too, had a thermometer in the center. She flipped her hand over, now pointing the symbol away from her so the Robot could see. "You're an ice-type too, aren't you?"

Vestra handed her the blade.

Vestra: There ya go. You might want to get that wound fixed, by the way.
