Sleet Man nodded meekly. Finding words was often pretty hard for him, so he usually just stayed mute. Somehow, with nearly limitless self-control, he kept from blushing, though a quick glance at his systems saw his internal body temperature slowly rising.

Fortunately, Heat Man managed to interrupt. "Thanks to this guy," he said crossly, jerking his thumb at Sleet Man, "and his cronies, my brothers and I all probably look like this- most likely worse. But whatever. Where did that scream come from? Is someone in danger?"

(I, er, wow, Finite. You're either brave or stupid, giving The Infectant a reception like that.)

Roll was partially confused by her enemy. They just didn't seem to be taking her seriously--why? She was certainly strong enough to be considered a threat; Drill-Man proved that!
Ah, well, she would soon learn. As soon as the blade was back in her good arm, Roll aimed a quick swipe at Vestra's robotic arm.
---
As she kept an eye on his thermometer, Fog-Woman became rather concerned. "You alright? It looks like your temperature spiked for no reason just then."
She then turned to Heat-Man. "Oh, cool your jets, shorty. Your friends were killed, and although it shouldn't have been so brutal, they got what was coming to them. If you didn't want to die, you should've fought harder, and that's the bottom line. As for the screams, who knows? It's most likely Roll, but it could be some female companion I don't know about."

Time's up.

(The key thing is, Vestra really has no fear. She likes to toy with everything, and everyone.)

Vestra quickly withdrew her robotic arm, barely keeping it from being cut in two.

Vestra: Now, that's just rude.

She put her finger from her organic arm right between Roll's eyes.

Vestra: Try being nice, kay?

Heat Man fumed at being called 'shorty', and even more at saying he didn't fight hard enough. Just when he was about to put an Atomic Fire between her eyes, she mentioned Roll, and instantly looked worried. "Roll? What happened? Is she hurt?"

Sleet Man nodded at her remark, and took a look at his thermometer, too. He was alarmed at how fast his temperature was raising. He excused himself from the group, and scrammed into the warehouse.

Of course, Sleet Man had a fairly good excuse should she ask. Heat Man was steadily getting hotter the more worried he got. "That guy said she was at the base..." he said, glancing at the warehouse. "I better go help her!" He was getting ready to charge a Heat Tackle.

Roll was furious with the fact that her opponent was now taunting her. With one arm stabbed at the shoulder, there was no way she would be able to swing her blade as quickly or as fast--so with her attacks becoming slow and easy to follow, Roll wondered how she was going to defeat this girl--let alone, hunt down Watt-Man.
Without a mind to do much else, though, all Roll could do was attack. Without bothering to smack Vestra's hand out of her way, she tried to aim a stab at her.
---
"Oh, yeah, you didn't see it. No, Roll is *probably* fine, but I wouldn't go dashing over there unless you want her to hurt you. Moreso, I don't trust you--you're not going over there without me, and I'm not going over there without the guy who beat you." Looking over at the warehouse, concern returned to Fog-Woman's face. "From the looks of it, he might be infected with Roboenza, or have some defect--but he doesn't want to show it. I'd take pity on him, but it'd be so easy to get it fixed."
With this on her mind, Fog-Woman crept up to the warehouse door, and looked in. "Hey, you alright? We've got work to do, and with all due respect, troops that aren't at their best condition won't do us much good."

Vestra swatted the blade out of the way, and put the finger of her robotic hand between Roll's eyes.

Vestra: Calm down, acting out won't do anything.

"Shorde, did you hear that scream? Don' worry i'm gonna go check it out, just stay here, i'll be back." ProtoMan said. Then he rushed to where the scream came from.

(Yeah, this post is late, sorry, been busy.)

Sleet Man nodded quickly, and pushed past her, barely managing to hide his blushed cheeks.

Taking hold of the situation, Sleet Man motioned for Heat Man to follow him. "Whatever, mute man. I'll follow you." Sleet Man led him upstairs to a tall building. There he pointed to the base, where signs of a fight were showing. "Crud! She must be down there!" He was worried for her safety- and whenever he worried worried for someone else, he was bound to do something very brave- or foolish.

This was one of those times. He charged his Heat Tackle, and bolted down there as fast as he could go.

ProtoMan rushed over to find a group of robots, some of them the LAS series. "What's going on? I heard a scream. By the way, are Father's LAS series here yet?"

Shorde was far from hearing the scream, in fact; he was far too tired to hear much of anything. He continued to sleep, and began dreaming of sword-toting Robots and thick metal armor.
---
Roll had had just about enough of Vestra's taunts. "Yeah, like you're one to talk about 'not acting out!' " Realizing her sword simply wouldn't work without two hands (For the time being, anyway), Roll decided to take a risk--gripping the blade with both hands again, she quickly hoisted Virus into the air and launched a diagonal slash at Vestra. Her shoulder hurt badly from the effort, but she had no choice--it was either this or fisticuffs, and Roll still wasn't that strong.
---
Fog-Woman raised an eyebrow when the white Robot shoved her out of his path. A glimpse at his thermometer showed high temperatures--it was very odd for an ice-based Robot to get that hot. As if expecting it to be on the rise, Fog-Woman glanced at her own thermometer. Only a couple degrees above what it should be--maybe it was the air or something. Knowing she would be fine in a few minutes, Fog-Woman started running with the other two.
Soon after, Proto Man joined them. As he had been there to help defeat her, Fog-Woman had as much respect for Proto as she did for Mega--she waved with her buster hand to him. "I think that's Roll screaming, but we can't be sure," she explained quickly, "and I think you're looking at a member of the 'LAS.' " Fog-Woman pointed to the white Robot with her normal hand.

Sleet Man waved shortly, then looked where Heat Man zoomed off to. Idiot, he thought. It would be impossible to catch up with him, especially if the Proto and the girl others tagged along.

The girl. He felt as foolish as a child whenever she cast a glance at him, and his temperature skyrocketed after meeting her for not ten minutes. It was a strange mix of lonliness and an incredible surge of desire- which, needless to say, didn't exactly feel great.

Sleet Man quickly dismissed these thoughts, and still stood staring at the base. Glancing at his thermometer proved to be no solace- in fact, he was gaining temperature still, as if her presence alone radiated that weird, body-raising mixture. He chose to ignore it, and only hoped Heat Man wasn't lying on the floor already.
---
Heat Man had just arrived at the entrance of the base, suprised to see Roll fighting some odd, furry creature. He hid at the side of the entrance, and waited.

The sword dug into Vestra's side, and she cried out in pain.

Vestra: Gah... What the hell was that for?!

"Well nice to meet you, I am your oldest brother, ProtoMan." Proto said to SleetMan as he held out his hand.

All the response Vestra received was "foolish girl." If she honestly couldn't figure it out, then Roll didn't feel like they had to explain herself. One attack led into another. Roll quickly pulled her sword away, and--still gripping it with two hands--aimed a stab at Vestra.
---
Fog-Woman just stared in confusion. Why was he speaking so little to her? It wasn't like he got stuck with a bad power like poor old Guts-Man...so why wouldn't he be social with her? Did the New Light Series already have a grudge against the Coda Robots...?
She hit herself with her buster hand, ashamed for getting distracted like that. With a brief wave to Proto Man, she dashed on ahead towards where she had seen Heat-Man go off to.

As she neared the base, she saw The Infectant fighting an odd-looking bioform. Naturally, this wasn't good--with Heart-Man not properly equipped for sanitary or complicated bioform injuries, they would simply have to not get hurt. Although, it seemed it was too late for that; Fog-Woman spotted blood dripping from the bioform's side. She would have to intervene quickly to avoid further damage--but how?

Sleet Man shook his hand quickly, then watched her go. It was painful to not say a word; curse his reclusive personality! He only stood there, wondering whether to follow.
---
Watt Man had left Crash Man inside the cart, and went out to see if it was safe. He was angry for hiding like a coward; it was time to act. He went up to the ground floor, and peeked his head around the corner.

He saw Roll fighting a furry creature. "Mobian," he breathed silently. He silently tip-toed to a better position unseen. Aiming his buster right at Roll's head, he fired three Elec Buster shots, sure to paralyze her momentarily.

Vestra felt the second stab, and cried out in pain again. Blood flowed from the wound in her chest.

Roll smiled, satisfied to see another successful hit. She carefully, but slowly pulled the blade out of Vestra's new wound. What could she say? She was happy. Two people nearly dead before her--this would give people a real reason to call her a monster. She swung Virus up into the air, getting ready to finish Vestra off--
until her shoulder started acting up. Her reckless swings had caused her oil lines to break open even worse than before, and her arm was now incredibly difficult to move. Without thinking, she dropped her sword and clutched at her own wound, trying to stop her bleeding...
And suddenly, she was frozen like that. A sudden jolt to her circuits had locked all motion for a moment--she had to be under fire from that stupid Watt-Man. Looking at Virus on the ground, she wondered what she could do--this battle had quickly turned itself around.
---
Seeing other bullets flying towards Roll was a pleasant thing to see for Fog-Woman, and to see them hit was even better. Finding that she was apparently paralyzed, Fog-Woman seized the opportunity--she dashed straight forward and tackled Roll, slamming her into a wall. Shouting to who she hoped was an ally at the ready, Fog-Woman did what she did best at times: give commands. "Get the bioform somewhere safe!"

Watt Man dashed off from his spot of fighting, and picked up Vestra. He quickly made off to his former hiding place and torward the infirmary. Laying Vestra on one of the beds, he ordered to the medics, "Make sure to get her to a safe place should any danger come here." The medics nodded.

He then came up to the mine cart, and pulled Crash Man out. He put him into the infirmary as well. He was about to get into the elevator again when he noticed Drill Man, lying among some oil barrels. "Hey, maggot, how did you miss me? I need a medic!" Watt Man groaned, then picked him up and brought him over, too.

He was back on the ground floor, trying to get a good shot at Roll. "Ergh... I can't aim right!"

He didn't have to.

A Thunder Bolt (the weapon) rushed through the hall, and hit Roll. A giant ball of electricity was bound to shock nearly anything into submission, and considering Roll's somewhat small mental processor, it would be amazing if she wasn't knocked unconsious.

And at the doorway stood Mega Man, his buster locked in the air, his colors yellow and blue, oil still dripping out his wound.

Naturally, Mega Man's attack succeeded. Roll had already taken a great amount of damage, and the voltage already shooting around within her only amplified the power of his attack. Without time to react or think, Roll fell to the ground, still clutching her shoulder. A wave of color spread out from her injury, gracing her armor with the red and pink colors of safety.
Roll wasn't the only person hit by the Thunder Bolt, though. With Fog-Woman pinning her against the wall, she, too couldn't dodge the attack--and the fact that she was part-water didn't exactly help. Singed and smoking from the attack, she stumbled backwards into the opposite wall, but managed to stay standing.

"Huff...Mega Man...thank you. She's becoming a mite tougher to control...she was stronger this time, I could feel it...and with your injury, I'm surprised you're still standing. Oh, well...I suppose that's how you and your brother managed to beat me." Fog-Woman feebly switched on her communicator, which--of course--still defaulted to the other Coda Robots. "Guys...The Infectant has passed; you can thank Mega Man for that one. Two Robots injured, one bioform with two wounds. Get over here now, Heart-Man; we can't lose her." As she shut off her communicator, Fog-Woman fell into a sitting position--that Thunder Bolt had hit harder than she thought.
---
"You heard the lady, there's not a moment to lose!"
In a matter of seconds, the Coda Robots were sprinting from their hideouts to the base. Luckily, they had managed to stay together, and not a single one of them was harmed. Heart-Man dashed ahead of the group--he was certainly unprepared for work on a bioform, but he had to try.

Vestra, weak: Heh... So this is how I die... Pity...

She passed out, having lost too much blood.
