Mega Man could barely hear her. He walked over, very slowly, and knelt down before Roll. Putting a hand on her shoulder, he cried. He cried as much as his eyes would allow, unable to control his sadness for his sister. And, out of respect, Watt Man did not interfere.

Dust Man was kneeling against the doorway, a scar on his left shoulder from where Virus had grazed. "He's dead inside," he muttered. "He's lost. And until this war is over, he'll never be the same after watching this."

"It's a shame, that's for certain," Watt Man said. "Hopefully he can pull himself together."

"Out of my way, Dust Man! Roll, are you-"

Heat Man stopped when he noticed Mega Man. Over Roll. He only stared, unable to speak a word.

Fog-Woman could tell just how much this whole situation moved everyone. She knew that the Coda Robots and everyone else would never feel the same way about fighting--after all, being brought up fighting her brother, she felt there was no reason to be sad. Both combatants got stronger as a result, and wounds could be healed...still, she felt a little bad for imposing her family's feelings on everyone else. Unable to cry, however, she held up her buster, shooting off a small amount of fog.
---
It was then that Heart-Man and the other Coda Robots came up to the base. While the others stayed back in the opening room to sort out the situation, Heart-Man started barking orders: "Get everyone injured, unconscious or scraped, into the infirmary stat! We've got a lot of beat-up people, and I'm going to repair them all!" He took a brief look at the situation, and shook his head briefly--Mega Man shouldn't be mourning, and Heat-Man shouldn't be standing. After that, he dashed into the infirmary--"alright, where's the bioform?!"

"Right here, sir!" A medic- a Penguin Bomber wearing medic attire- said quickly. "We're unable to stabilize her; it's likely she might die."
---
Heat Man shook away his feelings- now was no time to be standing around like an idiot. He walked over to Mega Man. "Come on, Rock, no time to be sitting around." But Mega Man didn't move. "Rock, let's move." Still no response. "Rock!" He shoved him over-

-and noticed that his eyes were closed. He had lost too much oil. "Oh. Whoops." He picked him up, and dashed down to the infirmary. The poor kid- he would do the same if he were in the same position. These newer Robots... they just didn't understand the bonds they had for over twenty-five or so years. Nevertheless, he still went to the infirmary, hoping not to damage Mega Man more.

When that was finished, he went up again, and ever so carefully picked up Roll. Watt Man attempted to intervene, but he was cast so furious a glance he didn't take one step further.

Heat Man carefully laid her onto one of the empty beds, held her hand for a bit, then left the area.

Heart-Man cut the medic off before he could finish his statement. "I've never lost a life, boy, and I'm not going to lose one now just because The Infectant proved a bit too hot to handle. Bring me an Energy Tank, some cotton, something to clean the wounds with and some gauze. There's not a moment to lose!"
As the medic scurried away, Heart-Man pondered what he just said--The Infectant had proved a little too hot to handle, at least for a bioform. It was odd to see that on only her second transformation, she had nearly murdered two soldiers--it was certainly worrying to see. If she didn't get her abilities under control, Roll may indeed become a very serious threat to the mission...
---
While nobody else seemed willing to, the Coda Robots would certainly follow each other's wishes--Tide-Man and Poison-Man quietly picked up Fog-Woman's smoking body and took her off to the infirmary.

Pyro-Man stood quietly off in the corner, wondering what to think. He could recall fighting his siblings to help train them...and he just couldn't understand why everyone else was upset about fighting Roll. At least, it would only be for a while...with time, Roll would become more able to control herself, and then she would just be a normal soldier...right? He was so confused about why no one but the Coda Robots seemed to be happy that she was getting stronger...which is what she wanted, right?
With this on his mind, and the crowd slowly trickling from the entry hallway to the infirmary, Pyro-Man slowly drifted that way as well--until he walked into Heat-Man. "Oh, hello! I did not see you there..." He extended his hand, trying to be friendly to him. "You look rather injured. Maybe you should stay in here?"

Heat Man shook it heartily. "I'm not going in there until my brothers are all fixed. I'll be fine."

He somewhat doubted this himself, but he wouldn't go for repairs until everyone else was fixed- even if it took months, or years.
---
The medic cautiously gave the supplies to Heart Man. "We've secured her blood type and have it ready in case she's lost too much. Anything else you might need?" Before an answer was given, a name was callen, and the medic scurried off.

Pyro-Man didn't understand why the yellow box Robot was being so polite to his brothers. He didn't know how well they got along, and it did look like he had gotten lucky when it came to the beatings (Which was confirmed when Pyro-Man glanced over at Air-Man's parts on a table), but he knew that when it came to his brother, people were looking at minutes and seconds, not months and years. "Oh, don't be ridiculous! With brother Heart-Man on the job, you'll all be at full capacity before the Sun comes up tomorrow! You should probably line up now, and save yourself the apprehension."
---
"...Okay, then; didn't want to answer your question anyway." In reality, Heart-Man was rather nervous--he rarely had to deal with quick injuries like this, and considering the spiked edges Virus had at the time, it was easy to tear through metal with it...let alone, flesh.
Heart-Man shook his head; he needed to stop wasting time. Well, in most cases, the best thing to do first was clean and sterilize the wounds--unsure if that was appropriate here, Heart-Man delicately picked up the cotton and began carefully cleaning the wounds. As he did so, he discovered the stab wound wasn't nearly as bad as it could've been. Luckily, the blade had not completely gone through Vestra, and her vital organs still appeared to be intact.

"I'm telling you, I'm all right. There's no need to go for injuries like this- they're just some dents and scuff marks. I'll head in when everyone else is done- besides, we'll probably be shipped back to Monsteropolis given our state."
---
Mega Man opened his eyes. He was very slow, somewhat doubting he was conscious at all. With some difficulty, he lifted his head. Two medics were tending to him, fixing the giant gash in his chest. How did he get that again?

Oh, right. The sword.

"Ah, Mega Man. Nice to see you up. We're just finishing your repairs; did not sustain too much damage."

"How long am I staying here?"

"Well, you might need to stay extra time. We've discovered a problem that ruptured your processor cable system."

"Is there anything wrong?"

"Not life-threatening. But your movements will be retarded and your thought process will eventually diminish to a very limited AI if this isn't adressed. Effects include memory loss, failure to formulate plans well... it could have bad effects if it isn't treated soon."

"How long will the procedure take?"

"Oh, not long at all. But, it will take a while for the treatment to settle. At least, you'll be here for a week or two."

Mega Man groaned. That was the minimum time. "What's the maximum?"

"A month."

Mega Man closed his eyes again and sat back. A month at most. "Got any magazines to read? I assume it'll be a long wait."

The medic smiled at him, and walked off to go search for some. Mega Man stared over at the bed Roll was on. "One or two weeks at least..." he muttered quietly.

"If you were hit hard enough to be knocked out, then you should probably get repaired." Pyro-Man spoke from experience--again, he could recall his siblings always getting fixed up by Heart-Man if he burned them too badly. "You know, I haven't talked with a lot of you, but you all seem really glum and depressed. Why is everyone in such a bad mood?"
---
After Heart-Man finished cleaning the wounds (Or at least as completely as he could), he sterilized the area with the materials the medic had brought him. Which honestly struck him as sort of odd...back at Loose Ends Hospital, he was the only robotic doctor on site. Letting his mind wander for the time being, Heart-Man finished the job with what was second nature by now--he dressed the cut with gauze, switched to his Stitcher, and carefully stitched up the stab wound.
He had done all he could--well, except for one thing. Heart-Man put two fingers of his left hand on Vestra's neck, carefully feeling for a pulse--or lack thereof.
---
Tide-Man and Poison-Man were walking by as they heard Mega Man's damages, and as they listened, they felt even worse than they did before. It was bad enough to make him relive "the worst times of his life," but now he was stuck in the infirmary for two to four weeks, making him unable to help stabilize her. They looked at Fog-Woman, and she nodded to them. Without a word, they set her next to Mega Man, and walked off.
In reality, Fog-Woman had no idea what to say. Unlike Heart-Man, who Mega Man had seen often between wars, she hadn't talked to him much, and she was afraid of sealing his hatred towards her and Dr. Coda's Robots in general. With this in mind, she just quietly looked at him, wondering if he would talk to her first.

Mega Man opened his eyes again, and noticed Fog Woman standing there. "Ah, well, looks like the Thunder Bolt didn't hit you too hard," he joked, a small smile on his face. It didn't last long. "Sorry for hitting you like that... I was going to warn you, but then she would've..." He took a pause, sighing.. "She would've heard."

He sat up in bed. "It was foolish of me to do what I did right before I woke up. She's getting stronger- that's what she wanted. But she also didn't want to hurt anyone... Mission Unsuccessful," he said, pointing to Drill Man, still in pain. "For this to be duplicated in such a short time..." He paused again, this time making it longer than before. "She would've never thought about this before. Never. But ever since she recieved... well, Virus," he said, trying very hard not to call it something much more degrading, "she's trying to become a person like me. And I can't see why I don't support her! It's wonderful she wants to help, I'm being sincere, but... after this... I feel like never having to see that again. A futile wish, of course..."

"Enough of my problems. I've complained too much already. Do you want me to get the medics something for you?"
---
Heat Man sighed. He wasn't suprised the conversation came to this. "Listen, fella. You probably know about what happened to Roll during the last Rebellion. But you've got no idea what happened after. Mega Man fell into depression after fighting her. We were all afraid of her. Auto? Eddie? Beat? Rush and Tango? Always trying to help. Yet they were still afraid of her. Everyone was. After this? Now it's eight months back all over again. Mega Man is never going to be the same; they might just grow farther and farther apart. We might be even worse. Maybe not my brothers and I, since we couldn't see it, and the guys that weren't here, but the ones that were will be leaving a night-light on while charging for a while. It'll be pandemonium after this- it might just lead that girl in there to death."

Heart-Man didn't like the sound of that. He quietly switched his right hand to the Energy Shocker and loaded the E-Tank in, ready to hit Vestra back to life if she were to go.
---
(Laying, Magnet; Fog-Woman's injured, although not as severely as some others, so she's staying in the infirmary.)

"Oh, I'm not doing so hot...I should probably get my internal systems checked out, but I'll wait my turn. From the sound of it, I'll get outta here much faster than you anyway. Don't worry about me; you did what was right...you stopped Roll from hurting others."
"Or at least, hurting others worse," she quickly revised, sharing Mega Man's sad gaze over at Drill-Man. "Me and the Coda Robots, we...we really can't apologize enough for all this. For putting you through this, for putting Roll through this, for putting everyone through this nightmare that nobody wanted to live again. I'm sure you're aware that there's no way to stop it...us Coda Robots always try to look on the positive side of things, but it's beginning to get hard. We keep saying that her state will get better..." Fog-Woman trailed off. Nobody could state how Roll would cope with her abilities, or if she would learn to control them like she was supposed to. Seeing all this heartbreak did not only make Fog-Woman incredibly frustrated with herself--it made her question if the end result would be so picture-perfect.
---
Pyro-Man listened carefully to Heat-Man's story--he still couldn't get over the fact that he could think and comprehend this whole thing. Trying to make use of his new knowledge, he listened carefully, trying to pin just where the flaw was.
...No, that couldn't be right. Surely, if that were it, they would've fixed it quickly, right? No, that was it for sure--it explained why Roll was unstable, it explained why she angered so much--and, that, in turn, may explain why The Infectant had been so much stronger. "Well, little box man, I've mulled it over, and I've pinned the problem--the problem is that you were afraid of her. I can't say how long Roll has been angry for, but I know that anger is a nasty couple with loneliness. All this time, Roll has never had someone to talk to, something to take out her rage on. Now that she's beginning to get strength, you all are beginning to pay attention to it, and now you begin to fear her instead of not caring.
"This is a vicious cycle, but it can be controlled. Right now, Roll probably feels more angry and more alone than ever before--and, of course, you fear her more than ever now. But if you continue to push her away out of your dumb fear, then you can forget about recharging at all. If this pathway sends either you or her spiraling off into oblivion...well, then, it'll be your fault, not hers."

Pyro-Man saw his siblings coming for him, most likely to discuss what to do about Roll. "Chew on that for a while," he muttered, and walked away with them.

Heat Man sighed. Leave it to the Coda Robots to have some brilliant counter-arguement up their sleeves. Trying to help her now might become problematic- after all, trying to reconcile her this late would seem like they're still afraid and desperate to stop both forms, which might just make her even more frustrated. Oh well, no hurt in trying.

Not now, of course. Later. She needed to be fixed, and get rest. When the time was right, Heat Man sweared, he would earnestly try to fix everything, even if he was eight months behind.
---
Mega Man just waited quietly for her to finish. "You know. I can't be more mad at your brother right now. I wish I could just send a Hard Knuckle right into his eyes. After all this frustration, all this pain, this... oily Drill Man, I wish I could send his pieces to Junk Man and Dust Man's scrap collection. Why?"

He just lied back. "Because he gave my sister what she wanted. Admittably, he was flawed in his deliverance, but he gave her more strength. And... and that is what she requested? Right?"

The medic walked back over. "Here we are sir. Not much, but I found some old comic books. Of course, they're mostly about you..."

"Oh, that's fine! I actually quite enjoy these... Most of the authors have their own unique interpretation of my friends, and sometimes they're quite laughable. One of them made Centaur Man a girl." When she stared in disbelief, he leafed through the comic books, and tossed one over to her. "It's in there, see for yourself." He picked one himself (about the 7th Rebellion; he actually quite enjoyed fighting Wily in that one for an unknown reason) and began reading it.

Heart-Man waited for at least two minutes, but it seemed like an eternity to him. When it appeared that the heartbeat would stay, he released his grip. "I did all I could. Keep a monitor on her heartbeat. Her wounds should be fine."
Without so much as a second thought, Heart-Man switched the Energy Shocker back to his Welding Fist, and moved on to the next patient--Drill-Man.
---
Fog-Woman took a comic, eager to dance away from the subject of Roll's state. She knew all too well about the media surrounding Mega Man's acts of heroism, as they had used it to help learn about their opponent when they were working for Coda. It was the funniest thing to have Blackout-Man cover up him playing the games late at night as "studying his enemy," and Dr. Coda actually letting him continue to play. On that note, she believed the jury was still out on a game about the Hacker's Rebellion--even if it was deemed appropriate for the children who often played it, how would they know how to make Roll fight? Regardless of what happens about that, the War of Mobius is something that definitely shouldn't be published, she thought to herself.
She leafed through the book carefully, trying to spot the female Centaur-Man that her ally referred to. "Hey, it's not like you could exactly blame them--there aren't a lot of girl Robots to go around. Let's see here, Splash, Dynamite, Paradox, Roll, that Plum girl, me...that's not a lot to choose from." Of course, with both her mind and her mouth wandering, Fog-Woman continued on this trend. "Say, Mega Man, have you ever thought about love? I mean, I don't think you would have, but I feel I should ask."

"Hmm, no, not much. I know a lot about who likes who, though," he said with a grin. "Stone Man really likes Plum, but he's pretty shy... I think she's dating either Turbo or Nitro, he's pretty crushed by that. Aqua Man and Pump Man like Splash; they've fought over her more times than I can count. Heat Man likes Roll a lot; he's nice, though, so I wouldn't mind it. And you... Boy, a lot of guys like you. I won't go into detail if you don't want me to, but there are, like, ten. As for me..." he trailed off, thought about it. "I don't know. I'm too busy to think about this stuff. If you're looking for words of wisdom... Well, a guy who's saved the world more times than he can count gets asked to a lot of dates," Mega Man said, chuckling. " I blush like a Solar Blaze whenever I'm near a cute girl. But I guess being a good, honest person is what many people like. Good listener, definetely. And being cute helps too," he added, winking. "Otherwise, I don't know much else. Why do you ask? Did something happen with someone before you came here?"

(Oh, really? I thought it was Quick-Man that had the crush on Plum; or was it the other way around? Eh, whatever; it's not an important detail.)

Fog-Woman looked up at another female Robot who happened to be passing by. "Oh, we were just talking about you! Looks like you can go get that signal if you want."
As they walked off, she turned her attention back to Mega Man. She was relatively surprised by hearing this information--how did he learn all that, especially the ones about the Wily Robots? "Wow, there are really that many? I know I'm one of the few girls that appears often, but...how could so many people like me so much?
"I guess that's sort of why I wanted to ask--I think we can add another one to that list. Earlier tonight, one of your New Light guys was acting weird. And I mean, even weirder than what would be expected. His temperature kept rising, and he refused to speak. At first, I thought he might be sick with Roboenza...but if that many people have fallen for me already, I guess his ailment is the development of a crush."
Fog-Woman switched her buster to a normal hand--not something she did often--and ran it along the side of her body. "I don't get what would pull others to me. Is it because I'm attractive or something? Do people actually think I'm nice? Is it simply that I'm most heard of, because I work for the news?" Of course, with Fog-Woman busy thinking about herself, she had missed an important detail--maybe Heat-Man could help show some support for Roll...

"Probably all three of those reasons. But how am I to know? I can't read their minds or anything." He stopped when a LAS robot was mentioned. "You mean Sleet Man? Huh, strange. From what I've heard, he's as quiet as a mouse. Never speaks a word unless he wants to." At this, Mega Man just shrugged, and continued reading.

Paradox: Who? Ah, the bioform. I have no idea. Why?
