"She's loose! She's loose! 2, 3, 4... They're all dead! Me and the Ninth Rebellion just managed to escape in time, but she'll be here any minute now!" Dark Man 1 was in a frenzy. He was barely able to keep himself on balance- which was a fairly bad situation for him. He stumbled and fell off the hill where the train tracks lied, landing on his side. "Argh... stupid treads!" He managed to right himself after a bit of squirming- only to noticed a shadow over his back. He peered behind him. Malware was standing on the hill, glaring right at him. "AAAAAAAAAAH-" was all he managed to say before being sliced clean in half. The communicator only gave off static afterwards. --- "What the hell-? Quint, come with me!" Dive Man strode out of his meeting room with Quint tagging behind him. He burst into the comm center. "What was that screaming?" he demanded. "What happened?" "Uh, we think that Mal-" Dive Man clutched his 'heart'. "Jesus, she's done already?" he whispered hoarsely. "We... Uh... I..." He shook his head, and spoke with confidence once again. "We need to stop her. We'll have to corner her somewhere... Get the DOS Robot Masters. Tell them to assemble at the old smelting plant over west. We'll lure her there and take her down." "Using them?" "No, no, no... they'll be used as a distraction. Should they be required, they can fight." "Who'll be doing the main fighting?" Dive Man looked straight at Mega Man. "Him." "Me?" Mega Man asked incredously. "I-I-I can't do that! I'd be cut down in a flash!" "Ridiculous. This is coming from the person who's sparred with both Sword Man and Blade Man- and beat them. If there's anyone who could win, it's you. I'll get Sword Man to go with you." "Oh... All right. I'll see what I can do." Mega Man walked off, his head hanging, ready to either meet his death, or come out victorous once again. |

Heart-Man just stood there silently, staring at the static screen in shock. Between the darkness of night and how swiftly she moved, he had barely seen her, but there she was all the same--Coda's latest and greatest killer. And his new sister. She wasn't being built, she was done...it seemed that Roll's training would become much more important. Worst of all, his worst suspicion had been confirmed--Malware did, indeed, use a blade. He couldn't be sure what it meant, but he didn't like it. Heart-Man only stopped his analyzing of what he had seen--each revelation about his little sister being worse than the last--when he heard Dive-Man talking about a reconnaissance plan. He thought the plan would likely fail, but he didn't stop them; if they wanted to go get murdered so that Malware could prove how strong she was, that was their business. But then he thought that it may look ignorant to raise no reaction at all--so Heart-Man made a compromise with himself. "If you run into Blackout-Man as you're setting up, please take him too. I'm sure that if you explain the situation, he'd be happy to help. But, please...she's our sister, no matter how evil, and I've got half a mind to beat it into her that she's fighting for the wrong side. I'm a little tied up, though..." Unsure if they would listen to his suggestion, Heart-Man kept staring at the screen, as if expecting to see Malware again. In reality, he was just waiting for the group to leave, but he didn't want to tell them that. --- Roll had been sitting outside the infirmary, thinking about what she had done. She was worried sick--about herself, about her brother, about everything. She had nearly drifted into sleep mode until a loud scream jolted her from her self-loathing state. Unable to go back to resting after hearing that, Roll listened at the infirmary door, where the scream had come from. From what she heard, apparently, the scream had come over the communication lines, and they were sending out some sort of attack party to take down the killer...this sounded rational to her, until she heard her brother get appointed as the attacker. Briefly wrestling with herself on if she should interrupt, Roll decided there was no need to hesitate. She threw open the door to the infirmary, looking at everyone inside. "No, brother! You have to stay here! It's too dark out for fighting, and you need to rest!" When no one answered immediately, she added softly to herself, "...both of us need rest." |

Mega Man met Roll's pleading eyes with a sad gaze. "I... I'm sorry, Roll. I have to... The DOS guys will be there with me, and so will Sword Man! We'll all be back just fine. You'll see. Just... Just stay here. I was picked and I have to do this." Mega Man frowned, then said, "VOLT MAN! ROUND UP THE OTHERS!... We're off." "Roger that, Rock!" a voice sounded from another room. Mega Man took one last look at Roll, then walked away. |

Roll didn't say anything back. She couldn't say anything back, and even if she could, it wouldn't change the outcome. "Just...be safe, brother. I don't want to see you hurt twice in the same day," she choked, painfully flashing back to what she had done only a couple hours ago. Without anything more to say, she let her brother pass by, and sunk back into her bad feelings. As her brother left, Heart-Man slipped away from the terminal and walked over to Roll's side. "You probably shouldn't worry about him. After all, he did beat me and my other siblings...besides, you're going to need rest for tomorrow. Why don't you go off to bed?" She still did not speak to him, but she eventually nodded, and Heart-Man directed her off to a place where she could rest and recharge. With Roll away somewhere safe, Heart-Man began his walk back to the infirmary alone. Now, he could only hope that Blackout-Man would be in on their plan--even if the plan failed, the damages he received might tell him something about Malware's fighting style. He just wanted Roll to be safe from her...even though he had no idea if she was after her or not. Lost in thought, the walk seemed to go a lot faster, and Heart-Man was soon back at the infirmary. With that, he finished his work on Quick-Man and started on the next injured. --- Blackout-Man wandered throughout the streets. Sure, it was most likely that people were hiding indoors, but it would take so much time to find someone indoors that it struck him as more efficient to walk around and wait for an enemy to come to him. Blissfully unaware of Malware's existence or of the attack plan, he contented himself by scanning block after block, waiting for someone to appear... |

"What the hell!?" Ballade said as he ran torward the teleporter and saw DarkMen 2,3, and 4 dead. "Hmmm, if they're dead.....then that means a Light-Bot must've killed them and escaped!" Ballade thought. He then hopped into the teleporter. |

Mega Man was off, dividing the numerous Robot Masters into small groups of three (he and Sword Man went into their own). Bit Man, Blade Man, and Sonic Man were in one, Dyna Man, Torch Man, and Oil Man the second, while Shark Man, Volt Man, and Wave Man made up the last. Bit Man's group ran into Blackout Man. "Hey, Blackout Man! We require your assistance," Bit Man said. "Malware is on the loose. Your sibling told us to pick you up on the way to the old smelting plant. Come with us." --- Oil Man and his group were off to the smelting plant themselves. Riding on their Item 2s, they were about to hit the bank of the railroad hill, when Oil Man signalled for a stop. "Dark Man 1," he said silently. "Holy cow, someone really put a slice through him!" Torch Man commented. "Want me to weld him back?" "Nah. We'll pick him up on the way back," Oil Man commented. They scaled the hill, and were off yet again. --- Volt Man and his group were already halfway to the smelting plant, getting a head start on the others. "We'll be entering from the right, and surveying the east part of the plant. Understood?" "Gotcha, Volt Man," was the response from Shark Man. "What's the best path back there?" Volt Man paused. "I do not think there will be a path back to the base," he said flatly, shocking the other two. "You mean-" "Yes. Dive Man only sent us here as decoys. I doubt any of us will be returning." Wave Man was furious. "There's no way I'm going there just to be disposed of like an expendable! I'm turning around!" "Oh, no you aren't! Should you turn around, I'll make sure I'll be the one to dispose of you! I will attempt, in all of my power, to keep both of you safe! Understood?" The two only nodded. Volt Man was having trouble convincing himself he actually could do that, but he had to- a promise was a promise. They sped off faster, nearing the smoking smelting plant. --- "So." Sword Man only said those two letters to Mega Man while they were on their way to the plant. They started before the others in order to gain the element of suprise on Malware. Mega Man only sighed. Letting his sister being a worrywart over him wasn't settling in his circuits well, and he was worried over her as well. "Yes?" "You seem troubled." "Troubled is an excrutiangly awful understatement." "I see." "Do you think I'm coming out of this alive?" "No." "Thought so. Yourself?" "Not much more faith either." "Huh. I can see your point of view on this." "Oh, hold on. I suggest stopping somewhere over here. I think I left someone in a cave nearby." Mega Man only shrugged as they neared a cave. Peering inside of it, he noticed some sort of purple animal. "His name is Lotus," Sword Man replied. "A part sparring partner, part master, if you will." "You're a slave?" "No. A student." Mega Man looked confused, then took a look at this Lotus's belt. A sword was hanging from a hilt. "Oh. Learning some new tricks I see?" "You could say that. Just here to check on him. Let's go." The two zoomed off. |

Upon hearing someone else's voice, Blackout-Man instantly spun around to face them, pointing his blaster at them. "Yeah, like I'd fall for that, imposters!" A few seconds later, he cracked a huge grin, his white teeth clashing with his black chassis. "Just kidding. I haven't a clue who Malware is, but you can fill me in on the way." He fell in line beside Sonic-Man, still keeping his silly grin. "I hope they're good enough to handle all four of us, though!" --- Shorde was dead-tired in his current state, but he always remained alert--and he could hear the echoy footsteps of someone else nearby. He snapped back into consciousness, but he did not open his eyes--a risky move if they were an enemy, but he was dead-tired. He heard two voices at the cave mouth...they were talking about him. The first, he believed, was Sword-Man, but he had no idea who the other would be. When he heard that Sword-Man had come by to check on him, though, his eyes flew open, and as they were leaving, he gave chase. "Aw, you came all the way out here just to see me? You shouldn't have. I'm more than a little tired right now, so I probably don't want to go where you're going...but if you could direct me to a more comfortable place to spend the night, that would be wonderful." |

"Ah, of course. Go ahead to the Light Base. You'll be able to find a more suitable accomdation there." Suddenly, three Item 2's, all carrying a robot, zoomed past. "Agh, we're late! Come on, Rock. We must get there as soon as possible." Sword Man spawned his Item 2, then raced off to get ahead of them. Mega Man pointed out directions to the Light Base when a group of four went past the two. "Whoops! Gotta fly, Mr. Lotus. I'll check back with you at the base." He spawned an Item 2, and flew off. --- Volt Man, Wave Man, and Shark Man quietly pulled into the smelting plant, and set down the communication jabber that would easily attract Malware. "Let's go. We'll all search together to stay safe." The three walked off to the west of their portion. --- Malware picked up some sort of odd communications coming from an eastern position- obviously some Light robots she could crush. It was going to be perfect to eliminate a few- it would get her battle ready to take on the old Virus. Quickly spawning her own jet, she started torward the plant. |

Ballade teleported on the hill above where DarkMan's body lay. "Too late." Ballade said as he hoppd down to DarkMan's body, he noticed that he was by the train tracks that were outside the city. He also saw ProtoMan and...Lotus? Was his name he believed. "Finally!" Ballade said, he had both of them in sight. He aimed at ProtoMan with his Ballade Cracker launchers and......fired. -------------- "What the-?" ProtoMan put his shield up to block the Cracker, but the blast knocked it away. "Crud." He thought. "Shorde wake up! We're bieng attacked!" ProtoMan said as he dodged another Cracker. "Finally...REVENGE! " said Ballade. "You!" ProtoMan said. "I thought we took care of you when we fought at the city!" |

"Ah, yes, thank you! Meet me tomorrow morning and we might spar together." With that, Shorde weaved off to the side and headed towards the city...that is, he was, until an explosive whizzed past his head. "I'd recognize that purple molecule model anywhere." Completely ignoring the small explosion it produced, he turned and quickly spotted a source--on a hill nearby the city, was Ballade, shooting the things from his wrists. "Ballade! You got off easy last time, but this time..." Shorde didn't get to finish his statement; he was stopped by his own yawning. "Damn it, I'm in no shape to fight back...Proto! I need to get back to the Light Base!" Though he was sleepy, he wasn't tired physically, and his short hours of sleep had given him a bit more energy. "Catch me if you can, ya purple rhino!" Shorde sprinted right past the hill, bolting his way into the city. --- Blackout-Man and his group was the next to arrive at the smelting facility. "Well, we're here...now what do we do? I thought you dragged me here because she was here...oh, well." Blackout-Man looked around--in the dead of night, most of the facility was lighted by furnace fires, but there were a few lights. Some of my powers will be useless, but I bet that not even this "Malware" can resist my Blackout Blast... On the opposite side of the factory, he located a fake communications signal--no doubt it was fake; otherwise, he would understand it. Without thinking, he walked into the middle of the area--surrounded by pipes and furnaces, he may be able to melt his opponent with the environment...if they didn't melt him first. A quiet "beep" from his wrist notified him of a text message--odd, most people used audio messages. He quietly opened it--obviously, it was from Heart-Man. He seemed to have taken leadership role over the Coda Robots, worrying for all of them. Wondering what he was saying, he looked at it: - "Malware is our sister. Show mercy as you see fit." - "Well, at least he was short and to the point...duly noted, dear brother." Blackout-Man switched his arm back to a blaster, and peered around a corner towards one side of the factory. |

"We need absolute silence as soon as she hits here, understood?" Bit Man ordered. He motioned for groups of two- Bit Man and Sonic Man in one, with Blackout Man and Blade Man in the other. "Survey the east portion- we've got west," was all he said, and soon he was gone. --- Oil Man pulled into the center portion of the old plant with his group. He ordered for all three to split up, and survey the area. --- Malware walked into the smelting plant with a show of casualness. She didn't know she was walking right into a trap- though even if so, she could easily turn the battle to her favor. She decided to go down the center hall where Dyna Man entered only ten minutes earlier. --- Dyna Man was busy walking through his portion, wondering when his hallway would end and he would be back with his group. He was fairly frightened of whoever was out there. Especially anyone who suprised him. Needless to say, he was scared out of his boots when a soft yet commanding voice sounded from behind him. "Stand down, and I will make your death quick." Dyna Man wheeled around, and saw Malware behind him. "I'm expected to listen to you?" he said tauntingly, even though his knees were shaking. "Yeah right. I'm gonna make this quick myself!" "So be it." Dyna Man hopped off the walls, and when over Malware fired a Nuclear Detonator. She easily stabbed it, and threw it right back at him. It detonated, sending him crashing down right at his feet. "What a waste of my time." She twisted her arm right through his chest, wrecking havoc with his control panel. He was a lifeless pile of metal in a matter of seconds. "These useless Robots aren't the real target... Someone else is." She walked over Dyna Man's body, and continued through the hall. |

"Shorde, get my shield! It landed next to you! My stamina is half of that MegaMan has! If I get hit enough I might die! Also there should be what looks like a sword handle to you clasped onto a holster above the viewing glass on my shield! It's a mod for my buster! Hand that to me as well! I'll run after you and cover you!" Proto said. "Oh no you don't! You're not running out on me yet!" Ballade said as he jumped to Proto and punched him in the face, cracking his shades. "Arrg!" ProtoMan said as he flew back and extended his hand, waiting for Shorde to follow his instructions. |

Blackout-Man sighed, and quietly went to survey with his partner. These guys looked expendable and weak to him...he didn't come to be a distraction, he came to fight. Hoping Blade-Man wouldn't drag him down, he went off to the east side of the building. Now, as he walked around calmly, he heard an explosion, followed by the sound of metal grinding against medal. He couldn't be certain which one belonged to Malware, but neither sounded particularly healthy to him...if he was to stand a chance with his partner, he needed the element of surprise. With this in mind, he shut off his lights--they would be a dead giveaway. Subsequently, all the lights in the building shut themselves off for a few seconds, then powered back on. Let's hope she dismisses that as faulty wiring, he thought to himself as he ducked behind a mass of pipes. Say, I doubt they'd just send these wimps to deal with her, especially if she's my sister...so who's going to be doing the real fighting? --- "What, oh, where?" Shorde screeched to a halt, but not quickly enough--he tripped over Proto Man's red-and-white shield and landed in the dirt. Gee, how didn't he notice that before? Shorde paused briefly to look at the two pieces. One was the handle and hint of a sword, the other was a disc-shaped shield with a tiny slit for vision. Disc-shaped... Suddenly, Shorde was hit with an idea. Jamming the sword handle into the handle for the shield, he carefully raised it above his head. He shouted back to Proto Man a simple message: "Catch!" After tossing the Proto Shield like a frisbee, he turned and kept running from Ballade's onslaught of explosives. Edited by CHAOS_FANTAZY, Feb 26 2012, 05:03 PM.

"Shorde hurry, my shield and the buster mod!" Proto said. Ballade then put Proto in a full nelson and started pressing down. "Aaaaaaauuuugh!" Proto screamed, he then flipped over kicking Ballade in the face a=and jumped and landed next to Shorde. "Hold up my shield while we run for awhile." Proto said as he took the sword-handle looking thing from the holster in his shield, then motioned Shorde to follow. |

Blade Man just took a loot at Blackout Man, gave him a sneer like he knew exactly what he was thinking, and started to climb up a nearby tower very silently. As 'expendable' as he might be, Blade Man was amazingly agile. He soon had a great position on Malware, undetected. Oil Man looked up and saw him from his roosting point, and gave him a nod. Oil Man slowly rounded the corner, raising his buster to fire right at Malware. Suddenly, he appeared around, and took a shot at her. --- Malware slipped on the oil around her feet, and was dazed for a few seconds. Perfect timing for Blade Man to take a shot. She felt pain penetrate her right shoulder, and she cried out. "Oil Man! Restrain her!" some voice said from above. "No! No! She can extend the blade from anywhere! It's too dangerous!" another said, most likely the one that shot at her. Malware shook her head and noticed oil dripping from her shoulder. "You managed to injure me... Not bad, for a bunch of puny wimps like yourselves." "What did she-" "Don't get reckless! It's part of her plan!" "Ha! Looks like whoever made you also managed to get some decent AI in your clunky heads. Though your weapon systems are mediocre, to say the least." Blade Man fumed, while Oil Man remained calm. "Stand down. We can help you. Just stop fighting!" "The only one who helps me is my master, not some cheap piles of scrap like you." Blade Man had it. He shot a sword out of his buster, and jumped down from his post, landing behind Malware. "You'll take those back, or I'll take your life!" he shouted, swinging it forward. Malware was sliced in the foot. She turned around and summoned a blade from her left arm. "Jesus, a morphing... other Blade Man? Coda can't think of anything original these days..." Blade Man muttered. Malware was furious. No one insulted her, let alone her master. "Let's see if you can make me eat my words, you little roach!" "With pleasure!" Soon the two were clashing swords together, each hoping they would not be overpowered. |

Blackout-Man stayed hidden behind his wall of pipes, listening to the angry words tossed around. Apparently, the banter isn't just for Wily 'bots... When the words were replaced by clashing swords, Blackout-Man peeked up just enough to see the fight. He couldn't tell who would win, but he would have to bet on his sister...after all, he didn't even know these guys. Beginning to ignore the fight, he spent some time observing his new sister. Like all of the Coda Robots, she was a little taller than average, but the thing that struck him most about her appearance was not her striking resemblance to a certain young girl, but the fact that she shared a color scheme with him. The "a few screws loose" nighttime side of him really didn't appreciate that, but he knew it would be best to not intervene yet. As he made this decision, Blackout-Man knew there was nothing more to see, so he quietly ducked down again. Best to wait until the real fighter shows himself, he thought. --- "Hey, wait a second, I thought you were covering me!" After seeing his ally wouldn't take the shield back, Shorde realized he had no choice. Gripping the riot shield with one hand, he ran alongside Proto Man, holding the shield back at the hill to deflect any oncoming shots from Ballade. "Whatever that sword handle thing does, you'd better pray it's good!" |

Blade Man continued to spar off against Malware. Since he and his brothers were mainly called wimps, he took it upon himself to become good with a sword. He could easily pick apart Malware's weaknesses. One, the blade was connected to her, rendering he movements somewhat slower and less graceful. Secondly, she was still a tad dazed from hitting her head on the floor, so this retarded her movements more. However, Coda had clearly done a stellar job with her fighting prowess. It was a good thing Blade Man had practiced for weeks on end. Finally, the two withdrew for a moment. "OK, then, I take it back. You aren't as bad as you seem," Malware said. "You are still no match for my superior quality, however." "No, he isn't." Blade Man turned around to adress the new voice. "Excuse me? I managed to spar with this chick for nearly five minutes without a single scratch on me!" He then narrowed his eyes, and saw it was Sword Man. "Oh. Uh, yeah, I'm nothing compared to him." He slunked back, and allowed Sword Man to walk forward. "Your movements are slow, unrefined, and sloppy. I'm suprised Blade Man wasn't able to win," Sword Man said fearlessly. "Dare you underestimate my power?" Malware said, malice pouring out of her words. "Oh, I dare. Bring it on." The two readied their swords, waiting for either to land the first blow. |

Blackout-Man waited for some time, listening to the rhythmic clash of blades. He knew it was considered dishonorable to interrupt a sword fight, but he was getting bored. He was about to give up waiting and jump the pipes to help, when he heard the two start talking again. Considering this his chance, he once more tried to seize the opportunity until he heard another voice. And he would know that calm, analyzing demeanor anywhere--it was none other than Sword-Man, the greatest swordsman on Light's side of the field. Knowing this, it would take a while for his sister to beat him--that is, if the slim chance that he would beat her didn't happen. Practically bored to tears, Blackout-Man slowly crawled away from his hiding spot, towards where Sword-Man had emerged from. He dared not go far, in case the battle went faster than he expected, but he needed to move or he would probably go crazy and rush Malware. And even after seeing what he had, he still had no desire to hurt her badly...thus, remembering Heart-Man's words of "show mercy as you see fit," Blackout-Man crept away, hoping his sister didn't see. |

Oil Man saw Blackout Man's movements, and silently started to creep over to his location through the left hall. He noticed Torch Man in an aclove, ready for someone to pass by. He grabbed him by the arm (with some minor protesting) and dragged him over to Blackout Man's location. "Get ready to attack should Sword Man fail," Oil Man ordered to the two others. He leaned against a beam, ready to spring into action. --- Volt Man and his group ran over to Bit Man's location after hearing the news of Dyna Man. He and Sonic Man were waiting for them. When they arrived, Bit Man idly pointed over to Malware and Sword Man and whispered, "Get ready to attack if Sword Man falls". Volt Man only nodded, and watched intently. |
