Eggman groaned. Eggman: Listen. We have time for games later. Would you rather have the forces of mine against you as well as with this Wily person, or would you rather let me help you? Whether you like to admit it or not, you do need my help. |

Shorde just stood staring at the ship. Who did this guy think he was? Oh, right; he thought he was Eggman. "Look, buddy, I don't know why you're insisting that we're doomed without you, but I know you as an enemy, and that's not going to change easily. I'm not exactly the most up-to-date person on the situations, but I'm sure that one mad scientist is just as easy as another! The one thing I 'need' right now is a good reason to believe you." |

Eggman sighed. Convincing this hedgehog was harder than he thought. Eggman: If I wanted to take over the world right now, I would have done so. All of your forces are so focused on this one area, I could have easily taken over the rest. |

For a while, Shorde did not respond. He just stood there, looking up at the airship, down at the floor, and every-which-way out onto the city. Finally, he spoke back. "...Fine. I guess you've got a point. Although, there isn't much world left to take over or many civilians left to terrorize. If you really want to help...well, park that sky yacht of yours somewhere and we'll see what you can do. But I've got my eye on you, pal." |

Eggman: ...Very well. The Egg Carrier MK I flew overhead, to outside the city, and landed in a huge field. Well, not so much landed as crashed. Fortunately, the thing did not blow up. Eggman shook his head, and got into his Egg Walker, to get off the ship. |

Dyna Man had taken a leadership role, for whatever reason, and started to round everyone up inside a truck. This one was smaller, a calvary truck often used in militias and armies. It was the only thing fast enough to make up for lost ground. In the meantime, Sonic Man sent a message to his brothers on Malware's ride. "She's dangerous! Take her down as soon as we are in sight!" All three showed no sign of emotion. Shark Man peered through the crack of the doors. Nothing. "What's wrong, Jaws? Afraid someone is chasing us?" Malware asked. "Somewhat," was all he replied. He could only help they were enough. |

Shorde watched with a halfhearted expression of interest as the old Egg Ship crashed into the ground at the edge of the city. "Say, I wonder why that thing was so rusted up to begin with...it's not like Fat Man to use old material." With a quick jump, Shorde landed safely at an entrance to the facility. He assumed a guarding position and waited for his old arch-nemesis to arrive. --- In the darkness of night, Fog-Woman patrolled alone. Due to the level of darkness, it was unlikely she would have to hide herself from enemies, but she didn't quite know for sure. Still, she didn't really plan on encountering anyone tonight... Always taking the dark alley, Fog-Woman looked and listened carefully for signs of...well, for signs of anything. Conflict, distress...as long as she was patrolling, she would correct it. Pausing briefly on her pathway around another block to eliminate the sound of her own footsteps, she drew in a deep breath and listened carefully... |

Silence... Then, heavy mechanical footsteps. Eggman approached Shorde. The Egg Walker did not have all the upgrades it used to have, but it was at least in better shape than the carrier. Eggman: I will need the full scope of the situation. I can only learn so much from a distance, after all... |

Gust Man was silently patrolling the city as well. Being unproductive at the base was no good- he had to do something. He had heard some sort of emergency alarm system from the base saying there was an intruder, but with a show of nonchalance, he turned it off. There was really no point in trying to help- he was pretty far from the base. Off in the distance, he heard the roar of a truck engine pulling out of the city. "Boy, looks like someone's in a hurry..." he muttered quietly. Everything else seemed eeriely quiet. Too quiet. Almost as if he was being watched by someone... In a flash he whirled behind him, and shot out a Gust Draft. Sure enough, it hit something. "Who the hell are you and what are you doing?" A shiny object that looked like a star flashed. "I could say the same for you, too, blowhard!" It was Star Man. "Jeez, Wind Man, what do you-" Looking up from the ground, he noticed he got the name wrong. "Oh, crap!" Suddenly, he started to bolt away, followed by shouts from Gust Man. |

A distance...where's he been lurking this whole time? Surprised perfect miss Vestra didn't find him, claiming to have everything perfectly... Shorde snapped back to attention when he remembered he had been asked a question. "Well, I'm not too up-to-date on the news myself...unfortunately, I don't even know who we would go to ask. I know; I'm so helpful...well, I'm also twenty years rusted. Now, come on." Not wanting the Robotic facility to get any colder by holding the door open, Shorde walked into the structure, and began to navigate the snaking hallways of the place. --- In the complete silence, Fog-Woman could hear many things. She ran through them, wondering what to go target. Two truck engines...one heading through town, the other departing now. May be able to intercept the second...heavy metal footsteps. May belong to a heavy robot grunt or the likes of Guts-Man. Near the base; the base can deal with it. ...Shouts. Whirls of wind. Sounds like a fight, and it's close by. She knew she probably wouldn't have time for both, but Fog-Woman was not without morals, and she ran off towards the sound of shouting. A quick glance at her buster showed her internal temperature to be stable; whatever was going on, she'd be ready to fight. As she neared the situation, she hoped to shock the combatants momentarily, so she shouted: "Freeze!" |

Gust Man had Star Man pinned against a wall, in a chokehold. "All right, Wily bot, I've had enough of this. You'll be joining a few of your predecessors soon-" He whirled around to hear the shout. "Fog Woman? What are you doing here?" Star Man still tried to struggle. "Help... me..." he gasped between desperate breaths. |

ProtoMan saw the giant airship and heard Eggman talking. He decided to go investigate, he sped off torward Shorde's direction. ------------ Ballade got up. "Urrg." He picked up and tried to reattach it, but to no avail. So he started walking slowly back to base. "I need a teammate." Ballade said. |

"Well, not a lot, to be honest. Never seen the madman face to face thus far, but I know a little about him. He's a Robotics expert--keeps trying to take over some other world with his genius creations. And there's a lot of 'em out there to keep track of. "His Robots, they aren't like yours. They've got brains, you know, and sentience and free will. They speak, they fight like humans, and--best or worst of all--each one has its own unique weapon. If you want to study up, you'll need to find one of these." Shorde tapped his wristwatch, and flipped through the pages of Robots to Proto Man's profile. "Look for a guy who looks like this; he's the guy that gave me one--" Shorde stopped midsentence, because Proto Man was now headed towards him. "Speak of the devil. Hello there, partner! F...Eggman, this is our ally, Proto Man. He's the first of these Robots I've been telling you about ever created. Proto Man, this is my...old acquaintance, Eggman. Though he doesn't work in quite the same way, he's a robotics professor all the same way. Could you perhaps help him catch up on the news? I know you get around..." --- "First...I'm on night watch. Second...why on Earth are you aiming to kill instead of capture? We don't want an instant replay of what happened earlier this evening, now do we?" Fog-Woman slowly approached the situation, buster at the ready. If either Robot tried to run, she could easily shoot off Stealth Fog and recapture them before they left the cloud. "Answer me! Why are you aiming to kill?" |

Eggman looked at the robots. Eggman, impressed: Oho! Quality over Quantity I see. I only built one creation of this quality. He then took notice of Protoman, and raised an eyebrow. His glasses scanned Protoman, and displayed the result. Eggman: Hmm... Variable weapons system? |

Gust Man sighed. "The only way to make them stop is to kill them... but so be it." He dropped Star Man, who gasped for air. He quickly put him in cuffs. "Get on your feet, starscum." Star Man complied. His expression seemed to perk up at the thought of being taken to the Light base. "Hey, question- is Ro-" "Shut up!" Gust Man said. He prodded him off torward the Light Base. --- Dyna Man had his foot pressed on the gas pedal so hard, you might've thought it was welded on. He was desperately trying to get to Malware's truck, hoping she hadn't caught on to their plan. Finallly it was in sight. "Get ready, fellas, we're coming upon it right now!" --- Shark Man peered through the hole, and noticed the truck. "Looks like we've got company... Light Calvary Truck approaching. Careful- if we're lucky, they might just pass by us..." The people in the truck waited, while three of them waited to pounce Malware... |

"Yes, only me and my younger brother...and newer model based of of my design MegaMan, and Bass, a robot based off of MegaMan built by Wily, have it." ProtoMan explained. "I am also the first and only prototype robot built by my creator, Dr.Light, so I am the basis for all advanced robots on my world. Don't get me wrong we still have drone like robots, but I was the first sentient one." "Anyway, the Variable WEapons system was originally the Variable Tools System, since my brother and I were originally supposed to be lab assistant robots/children to my creator. It allowed us to duplicate any tool used by an advanced robot or regualr lab tool. After we were converted into combat robots, the VTS was modified to be ale to copy weapons, since the industrial robots' tools were weaponized or they were combat robots from the start." ProtoMan said. "Would you like to know about our default weapons, or learn about anything else." ProtoMan asked. "I know this guy tried to take over this world, and I don't trust him, but I have to be polite, even to my enemies, just like how I am with Wily or Bass." |

"Yes, Eggman, I'm more than familiar with your robotic mimicry of The Blue One. Or at least, I think that's who you're talking about. I know his free will nearly resulted in your death, but...all the other Robots here have it." Shorde listened quietly to Proto Man's little speech, and he was rather surprised to hear that he knew the same things he did. Well, at least we're on the same page of not trusting him. Hoping to not upset his guest by not presenting the needed information, he asked again: "Could you give this guy a full report of the war's status, or at least direct him to someone who could?" --- "I know we're waging war here, but we didn't build a prison to keep it empty this whole time! Besides...you may or may not have seen her, but I'm sure you've heard of just what she did. I don't like it either, but...we're going to have to restrain ourselves. Hopefully, Roll will be able to do the same soon. Now, if you'll excuse me...scratch that; I'll never make it in time. I guess I'll escort this loser back to the base." Grabbing one of his arms with her own, Fog-Woman marched Star-Man back to the base. She didn't doubt she could intercept him if he tried to run, so there would be no trouble getting him back to the base. With a quick wave to Gust-Man with her buster hand, she walked off into the darkness. |

"Loser? You think I'm- Ow! Alright, alright, no need to shove..." Star Man said as he was prodded torward the base. Being in cuffs, he really couldn't do much- except... nah, activating his Star Crash probably wouldn't be a great idea. "...Well, at least it's a girl other than that guy..." he muttered silently to himself. |
