"Well we do know where Wily's base is, but the base have an endless number of footsoldiers, weapons, and robots at it's disposal, trust me, I was captured. We have stretched their forces away from the base though, so we might be able to do a small raid, but knowing the mad scientist type and I estimate you have an IQ of at least 280, you are already forming an attack plan as I say this."
OOC: No really, Eggman's IQ is 280. (Nerd alert.)

(WRONG.
According to my Sonic Heroes game manual that I keep around for just such occasions: "As well as having an unfeasably high IQ of 300, Eggman is a romanticist, a feminist, and a self-proclaimed gentleman. Sadly, his charms are often difficult to spot through the abominable laughter that accompanies his declarations of world domination.")

"I'm not sure that'll do. Look, could you just direct him to the war general around here or something? I'm sure he could answer all of Eggman's questions. As for me...I'm tired. I'm going off to find some place to sleep."
With that, Shorde finally sheathed his sword and walked down the hallway. After about five minutes of searching for some form of bioform lodging, he gave up and made his way to the infirmary.
---
"Oh, please. Light and Wily Robots may hate each other, but we know both sides of the story. The only reason you work for Wily is that you'll be spare parts if you refuse...that's why a few select Light Robots just hate to see you get hurt." In a moment of dramatic irony, Fog-Woman thought of Roll--and what she had done when she had seen the Second Rebellion defeated and dead. "I wouldn't call you a loser...but none of us Coda Robots have a shield weapon, so we wouldn't really know. Still, you were captured, and I have to take you to our prison."

"Oh, fine. I understand. Say, what happened to Flash Man? He kept on babbling something on the Wily channel telling us about a breakout..." Star Man said.

Time's up.

Eggman scratched his head.

Eggman: Yes, I was forming a plan for such an attack. It... Is not quite finished, however. I am still refining it. After suffering loss after loss, one tends to start doubting one's self...

"Hmmm, well why don't you let me aboard, I might be able to help, I have formulated plans before, but most involved stealth.....but still I am highly intelligent, and I have the detention level in my memorybanks, since I was captured." ProtoMan said.

"Flash-Man? Last I knew, he was dead. Should've been around to see what his death set off." Fog-Woman remained completely oblivious as to just how true that statement was. "Well, he could have been repaired by now...and he also could've found some way to escape from our prison, I suppose. That must've been his getaway ride I heard tearing through the city...oh, well. You lose a prisoner, but you get one back," she said, knocking on Star-Man's head with her hand.
---
The infirmary was surprisingly empty...and also annoyingly bright. Well, thought Shorde to himself, I guess it'll have to do. After all, it's the only room I've seen with an actual bed in it. With a few clicks and slips, Shorde took off his sheath and leaned it against the bed. Not one for discourtesy, he also slipped out of his shoes, and without a word, he slipped into the bed. It wasn't the best in comfort, but it was good enough, and soon Shorde was out like a light.

Eggman paused as he looked at Proto, then he nodded.

Eggman: Very well. I suppose having help won't hurt...

"Ouch... Doesn't account for the other three you're missing- including Malware," he added with a smirk. "Why is she so dangerous? She was beaten by the DOS bots, of all people. Not saying they're weak, but I suppose they're somewhat... oh, primitive? She surely can't be a threat if something like that happened." He then continued on with her, unable to know how she would take the news.

"What? We caught Malware? Then she escaped? Why, I oughta..." Fog-Woman suddenly looked at her buster hand and saw that her anger was causing her to heat up. Reminding herself to stay levelheaded, she took a deep breath, and her temperature went back down. "...Well, I can't say that I'm too surprised. We didn't know much about the DOS Units, but from what we've learned, we expected them to be more of glass cannons than useless dummies. A well-placed ambush here, a lucky shot there...depending on what weapon my sister has, I guess that doesn't sound too far-fetched.
"I've got to ask, though...are you sure she didn't want to lose? That actually sounds like a good idea...I might try it to get information and cause some damage from the inside, actually." Fog-Woman suddenly remembered that she was talking to an enemy, and clamped her mouth shut. "Sorry," she added, "I guess you just make good conversation."

"Heh, a lot of people say that," he added with a smirk. "Yet with Wily tethering me to a chain, it's somewhat hard to show that to others... I'm sort of one of Wily's coverboys. Anyway, your depiction of the DOS bots is actually a little inaccurate. Apparently, Ring Man went down, Dive Man was injured twice- one in the head, mind you- Medic Man was torn to shreds, and apparently Blackout Man was a injured a bit too. Not to mention the fact that they're fast, and their weapons are pretty strong. Nothing compared to say, uh, yours, but it looks like they outclassed you guys pretty well. Then again, your example might be true... Perhaps she'll just dispose of them as soon as she finds them unuseful?"

"Base is right up there. See what I mean?"

There was a giant gaping hole in the front blast door. Ring Man and a few drones were lying on the ground, with only Ring Man concious. He was lying against the wall, clutching his side which was leaking oil.

"ProtoMan hopped aboard the deck of the ship and walked inside the bridge and saw Eggman on the command deck. "Doctor." ProtoMan said. "Let's get to work."
---------------------
Ballade was walking into the base's entrance. "This is Commander Ballade, open the door." The door opened revealing a squad of Sniper Joes. "Sir, shall we pursue you targets?" Joe #1 asked. "No just get me into the infirmary." Ballade said. "And find me a suitable teammate while you at it. "Yessir I shall search for your teammate ASAP." Joe #1 said as he rushed over to the monitor to search the database of robots to assist Ballade. "Sir, I shall alert the infirmary that you're coming." Joe #2 said. Ballade then walked torward the infirmary.

Fog-Woman was rather surprised to hear that one of her brothers was injured, but she quickly shrugged it off. "Eh, we all can take a hit here and there. We were built to!"
She stopped dead when she saw the front door--or what was left of it. After a moment of silence, she shoved Star-Man forward again. "Look, kid. I like you, so I'm going to let you walk yourself down to our prison. Just follow the signs of damage; I'm sure you'll get there fast." After being sure he was on his way, Fog-Woman carefully picked up Ring-Man. Carefully supporting him on one shoulder, she started toting him off to the infirmary--odd, how much time she was spending in this one room. "You still functioning in there?"

"'Functioning' could somewhat describe my current condition..." Ring Man muttered. He stared at the broken bodies of his soldiers. "How did they manage this? I hit them with all I had- Oil Man took five of these!" He flashed a Ring Boomerang from his hand, then put it back. "I can only wonder how Dive Man fared..."

Star Man grinned. "Boy, that's the best response I've ever gotten from a girl!" he said gleefully to himself. He then looked at a map, and proceeded to walk down to the prison.

Eggman nodded. He only found the robot useful at all because it seemed to have a map of the facility, or at least part of it.

Eggman: Let's cut to the chase. Show me the map of the area we are attacking, and tell me what exactly we are facing.

"Alright just hand me a USB so I can plug it into my buster arm, and plug in the other end into your computer." ProtoMan said.

"Ow!" Ballade screamed. "Sorry sir." the medic said. "Just get done with repairs already!!" Ballade screamed.

All Fog-Woman could say was, "Well, I guess I was wrong." Though it was Oil-Man, who could keep functioning fine if he was bleeding...if they could take five of the razor-sharp Ring Boomerangs and still be standing, there was no way he was a glass cannon.
"Let's not worry about the others for now. After all, there's not many still skittering around in the infirmary, and of all people, you should worry about you first." After dropping Ring-Man off in the infirmary, Fog-Woman heard a quiet indicator from her helmet telling her that her battery was low. "Well, I guess I've been operating for a while. I should get some rest." She spun on her heel and briskly walked off to a recharging station, where more than a few of her brothers were already resting.

Ring Man only nodded. He looked around, and noticed Medic Man's torn carcass lying on the floor. "He's a good medic, but I would like him more if he wasn't so abrasive..."

Ring Man thought about Light's forces. Undertrained. Undisciplined. Under-equipped. Of all the armies in the world, why was he wasting time with this one? They didn't have any big guns at their disposal...

"That's it! The Tenth Rebellion!" He told a nearby soldier to get to Light's office, and tell Dynamo Man and Ground Man to get the 10th Rebellion as soon as possible. The soldier nodded, and headed for the comm room.

"They are our only hope to win..." Ring Man muttered quietly. He then powered down.

Eggman nodded, and took a cord from before his mech, and handed the other end to Protoman.

Eggman: Of course. I always thought this thing would come in handy.

The detention level blueprints flashed onto the screen. "I'll save them onto your computer." ProtoMan said as he did so. "Alright now we must finish the plan. But you must allow me control of some of your army for this plan to work, since even with the plans, I know the place better than you do."
--------------------
Ballade walked out of the infirmary looking as if nothing happened walked over to Joe #1. "You find anyone yet?" Ballade snapped. "No sir, not yet." Joe #1 said. "Well hurry up!" Ballade said.

Eggman sighed.

Eggman: I have no army. If I did, don't you think I would have used it already?
