Roll's duel against Tide-Man was not a long one. She wasn't doing so well at first, just barely getting by, but her evasive skills--clearly her strongest suit at this point--were beginning to improve. Soon, Tide-Man was running low on rockets.
Five. She sidestepped it and kept moving. Four. Stepped to the other side. Three. She was nearly hit, as she lost her footing for a moment, but she deftly knocked away with the tip of her sword. Two. She gave one of her strong jumps over it, and brought her blade down to attack. In desperation, he fired his last rocket straight up.
Had Roll kept her blade steady, she would have sliced the rocket in half. But, for a brief moment, her grip faltered--she didn't know why, it just happened. And then, the missile crashed into her, and it was all over.

Roll fell to the ground in a smoking heap. Tide-Man ambled over and helped her up, but he heard her mutter, "I can do better." His response was what anyone else would expect: "Oh, you did great! You emptied my entire rocket supply--see?" Opening up his weapons menu, he showed her the completely depleted "Weapon Energy" bar for his rockets. "I didn't think I'd need all of them--your dodging skills are top-notch! Say, just for doing such a great job, you pick who to fight next!"
She didn't respond, but not because she was angry--Roll pointed a finger over the remaining Coda Robots, wondering which to fight next. It was clear that each one was trying to prepare her for a certain situation, but which one should she do next? Eventually, her finger settled on the only other female in the room--a rather tall young woman with purple armor and wispy hair. "Her...I want to fight her."
As soon as she was done speaking, Fog-Woman's typical confident smirk flashed across her face. "I won't go easy," she warned, and she lifted her buster arm into the air. Within moments, the entire room was filled with a very thick fog...
---
A few minutes later, Heart-Man had finished repairing Medic-Man's brutal injury. How sad, he thought to himself, I bet this guy'll be thinking of this when it's his turn to fight Rock. With his idle thought gone, Heart-Man switched the doctor Robot on. Without waiting for him to speak, he began his own monologue: "Get up, sleepyhead. Shark-Man took a real bite out of you; you're lucky I was around to fix it. You've been out for about half a day, and in that time, Malware was let loose, then caught and imprisoned again, then Ballade bulldozed through and got her out again. During our last battle, Gust-Man suffered damage to his processor--I've seen how you fixed up Mega Man. I think this'd be more down your alley--so, you up?"
---
Shorde slowly stood from the chair he was resting in. Now fully recovered from the "battle" against Ballade, he was ready. If they wouldn't accept just an application form, it was time for him to get them a gift. And he knew exactly what General Dive-Man wanted for his birthday--evil Robots, tied together with blood-red ribbons. "Ah, nothing like some good old mercenary work! Time to go bag me a bad guy."
Without waiting to see if anyone had heard him, he slipped out of the fortress, and walked to a specific destination. He had heard that one of the Light Team superpowers had been dispatched to deal with one on the opposing team--and, by Shorde's logic, bad guys stuck together. He was sure he'd be able to find another Robot Master lurking around in the blocks surrounding the ice factory...the only trouble would be finding them.

Ballade saw Malware in a jet. "Aw, no fair!" Ballade said. Ballade then hopped on the jet and hitched a ride.

Medic Man sprung right off the medical bed. "Hmph... I feel like I have an
awful headache, but whatever... Why was I on a medical bed, huh? What did I do? Get shot or something?"

"Oh, never mind. Unimportant. Gust Man is down, you say? Better go repair him..." Medic Man marched off to find the robot.
---
Snake Man and Crash Man, the two regulars at the window now, girmaced when they saw Roll take a nasty blow from the last rocket. "Ouch..." Snake Man muttered. He tried to motion to Tide Man to see if she was fine, but before he could, the battleground was covered in fog. Both of the robots peered through it in alarm, unable to see anything... before they noticed Fog Woman in the midst of it. "She's using the fog to test her skills of not seeing her enemy..." Crash Man muttered over to Snake Man. They waited in apprehension to see what might happen.
---
Mega Man wished he didn't try to call out to Frost Man. He was proving too hard to even get close to him, which wasn't good for Hyper Storm H. "We'd better try to get to higher ground and see if we can take him out there!" Mega Man called to his two compatriots. They climbed a nearby ladder up to some scaffolding, and fired on him there.

Better him than me, Heart-Man thought. My specialty is repairing battle wounds, but not like that! After a quick look around the infirmary, he determined there wasn't a lot more he could do here, and started his way back to the training room.
On his way back, he passed by Snake-Man and Crash-Man. "Don't you guys have anything better to do than watch a girl train? Like, I don't know, train yourselves, or go on some form of mission? I'm warning you--don't get too close to the lesson, or we'll make you part of it. Now, let's see how our guest of honor is doing..." As Heart-Man looked into the window, he quickly realized his error. "...If we could see her at all. Looks like Fog-Woman's up...either the fights are going fast, or she's going out of order. In that case, I suppose I'd better wait a minute before heading back inside."
---
Upon hearing their concern, Tide-Man slowly approached the window. He wasn't sure if they would be able to hear him, but he had heard them. Nearing the window, he suddenly remembered Roll would have to rely on her hearing to defeat Fog-Woman. With this in mind, he whispered out to the crowd he knew was there: "She'll be fine," and gave a thumbs-up in case they didn't hear him.

With the room now blanketed in her thick fog, Fog-Woman decided to speak a little--it would scare Roll a little, yes, but it might also hint as to where she was. "All the circulations for air have been cut off, so this fog isn't going anywhere! Let's see you land a hit on me if you can't even find me!"
---
Whistling a little song to himself, it wasn't long at all before Shorde found himself at the ice plant. That's strange, he thought, didn't see a single friend or foe on the way here. For a moment, he just stood there, wondering if he should search the cold storage or the buildings surrounding it first. He was having the toughest of times deciding himself, but eventually, the sound of pounding metal (Unbeknownst to him that that was the sound of Frost-Man's fists) convinced him not to. "There's already someone in there, Lotus, someone else will handle it." With his mind made up, he strode over to one of the adjacent buildings, and began a thorough search.

Snake Man nodded silently to both parties. "Call us concerned friends, Heart Man," Crash Man joked, trying to pick up Roll's location. "And feel free to! She's looking better and better all the time- I can't wait to fight against her... Besides, we don't have much else to do."

"Think I see her," Snake Man whispered. He pointed down to a small point, where both watched her movements. Bright Man and Drill Man walked by. "What are you guys watching?" "Oh, great, a ventilation malfunction... Hold on, I'll go fix it." As Bright Man started to walk off, Snake Man held him back. "No, no, it's a training exercise... Roll is down there."

"A training exercise? Was this authorized by Dive Man?"

"Uh... I don't know..."

"Well, then, looks like I'll have to check with them. And most likely fix the air vent, as well..." Bright Man muttered.

"But won't that ruin the fog?"

"So? Big deal. If it does and they don't recieve permission, they can't put it in there anywho. I'm second-in-command here, I know what I'm doing." He marched down the steps.

In reality, he only wanted to see the action for himself up close. Plus, he conjured up the plausible excuse that Dive Man sent him to watch Roll's progress. He silently slid open the door, making sure as little fog as possible escaped, and stood in the back.

Little did Bright-Man know that his entry did not go unnoticed. The group of Coda Robots over by the window had been around Fog-Woman for quite some time, and although it never stopped being annoying, they had learned other ways to detect things in her Stealth Fog. "Someone just entered," Poison-Man announced abruptly, "and I don't think it's one of us. Permission to pound him if he interferes?"
After a quick moment of thought, Wire-Man responded. "Granted."

Unlike her siblings, Fog-Woman was built specifically to see through her own weapon--she noted the Robot who had just entered the lesson without permission, her siblings bunched up together by the window--and there was Roll, looking around helplessly. "Looking's not gonna do ya much good, kid!"
Fog-Woman charged straight at Roll, much faster than anyone would expect. Roll heard the footsteps, and tried to jump the attack--but Fog-Woman saw it, and caught her by one foot. Fog-Woman wasn't exactly the strongest of the Coda Robots, but Roll was very light to her. With a few quick movements, she slammed Roll into the ground, then brought her up again.
Roll only dangled helplessly in midair as Fog-Woman shot a Hailstone straight into her face. The other Coda siblings winced as they heard the Hailstone shatter. Luckily, the recoil of the shot broke her grip, and Roll managed to escape her grip. With a quick midair flip, she landed on her feet, and on the bright side, she still wasn't disarmed. Unfortunately, that series of blows had really exhausted her...
---
"Ugh, where is everyone?" Shorde rolled his eyes as he finished his search of the building. "I'm getting bored already; seriously, I would think I'd look like an easy kill!" He climbed the final stairwell up to the roof of the building and took a quick look around--not that he expected to find anything.

As Bright Man turned around from closing the door, he nearly jumped when another robot stood behind him. He quickly regained his composure, and spoke formally. "Sorry to bother you, sir. I'd like to ask if you've recieved authorization from any one of the generals for using this space. If not, it is my obligation as second-in-command of the Light Forces to kick you out for unauthorized use of storage space... unless I am allowed to stay to report first-hand progress to Dive Man."

"Call it blackmail if you wish, but I also heard your little 'pounding' quip. Even if you did recieve permission, I could easily write up a report on that, which will no doubt get you a stern letter of reprimand from General Dive Man. I do believe you can figure out for yourself what would happen should you carry out such a task. Let me stay, and it can go unnoticed." Bright Man put his hands behind his back. A dissatisfied, yet smug look crossed over his face. He could guess they'd kick him out regardless, considering how blunt they were with people outside of their family. Besides, they wouldn't really be in much danger- the DOS bots turned renegade, and here they were, prancing around like nothing happened.

Still, being in the position he was in, he could easily administer punishment himself. "I'm waiting. Did you, or did you not recieve permission to use this as a training ground, and if so, from who?"
---
At that moment, the 7th Rebellion pulled into the ice plant. "Search the area, and find where Frost Man is," Burst Man ordered. He split them into groups, and they fanned out.

For a while, Tide-Man just stared at Bright-Man. Eventually, he held up one hand, and spoke a command. "Brother Poison...full nelson."
At the snap of his fingers, Poison-Man rushed over and caught Bright-Man in the specified hold. Tide-Man calmly walked over to where the two now were, sharing Bright-Man's smile from a few moments ago. "This training has been authorized, of course it has. By the Blue Bomber himself, no less. I don't care what you say or do, but to us, he houses much more authority than any of you do. Besides--looks like there's nothing you need to store in here anyway. Now, be quiet--Roll is performing badly and I doubt you're helping."
As he finished his dialogue, the same sound of a Hailstone shattering pierced the air. Once again, most of the Coda Robots flinched, imagining the pain and hoping Roll had been able to dodge it.
---
As Shorde quickly realized his suspicion was right, he walked over to the edge of the roof and took a seat, looking back at the ice factory. At least, he was sitting idly, until a group of eight Robots pulled in. "There you are," he said to himself, and pulled up his database to identify them. Of course, by the time he was done with that, they had already scattered! Ugh, well, Shorde, who did you want to fight? Looking over his choices, he decided that the one resembling a vampire and the one with a "pet dinosaur" were the strongest of the group.
"Which means, I'll deal with them last," Shorde muttered to himself as he allowed himself to fall off the building, landing harmlessly below. "Now, which way did you go...?" he said to no one, and entered the facility quietly.

"A full wha-"

When Poison Man grabbed him, Bright Man was completely unprepared. Unlike most other Robot Masters, he was based more on brains than brawn- he wasn't expected to take much hits because he'd be able to dodge them. Because of this, a more light weight and flexible but rather weak structural system was built for his limbs.

"Wait! No! Don-"

A snapping sound followed immediately after, with coolant and another strange liquid spilling out of his right ball socket joint. The robotic tendon popped nearly straight up out of his arm, and hanged erect in the air. Bright Man managed to supress his scream, but he squinted his eyes and grimaced in pain.
---
Crash Man, Snake Man, and Drill Man were all watching Bright Man. At first, they thought he looked ridiculous against Tide Man- he was nearly a foot and a half shorter- but when he was put into the hold, they watched with alarm.

The snapping sound could be heard all the way up to the window, and they watched in horror as the tendon snapped completely up and the liquid poured down both into the hole left from the arm and down to the floor. "Should we go help?" Snake Man asked to the other two.

"Uh... I don't know... He might do the same thing to us..." Crash Man replied cautiously. "Drill Man?"

"Yeah. I second that."

"Somebody, go get another one of the generals! Quick!"

Snake Man and Crash Man rushed off in different directions.
---
Freeze Man and Cloud Man were stationed in one group. They came across what seemed like the main building. Both could hear sounds of an intense fight, but they merely dismissed it as some of the ice plant machinery- it sounded like pounding metal, and not much else.

They both went off to a new building.

Luckily, Heart-Man had heard the noise as well. His eyes widening in horror, he pressed his face into the window, trying to see what happened between the two others. "Oh, God, what did he do?!" Then he saw what his brother was doing, and his face relaxed from shock to mild irritation. "Ugh, of course Poison-Man would. I told him watching sports instead of the news was a bad idea, but noooo, he would rather punch me than listen to me!" Turning to the two other alarmed parties, he put his hands up. "Don't bother telling anyone about this; my idiot brother is just having one of his moments. It's a simple fix; Bright-Man will be fine in no time."
With that, he rushed around to the door, and bolted over to where his brothers stood.

"I don't think you want to cross Mega Man, of all people, so you have no further business with--"
Tide-Man stopped his monologue when he heard the sickening crunch. He looked over at Bright-Man, and found the injury very notable, even with the Stealth Fog. "Oh, damn it, I shouldn't have asked for such a strong hold. Poison, drop him!"
"Wha--oh..." Poison-Man said sheepishly, as he noticed the damage he'd done. "Sorry, lightbulb dude, I guess I don't know my own strength..." With as much care as his bulky body could offer, he set Bright-Man down on the ground--and in a flash, Heart-Man was on him, repairing his injury. It was taking a minute for his Welding Fist to warm up, but once it did, it would be an easy fix. To his brother, he spoke one statement: "Brother Poison-Man, for the safety of those around you, we ban you from watching wrestling for one week." Poison-Man groaned an "Aww, maaaan!", but he did not argue further.
Good, Heart-Man thought, and he turned his attention to his patient. "I could say sorry for this until my vocal senders gave way to wear-and-tear, but I doubt it'd make a difference. I assume you'll be shutting us down now...?"

Of course, amidst the confusion there, there was still a fight going on deeper within the fog. Fog-Woman had heard the sound as well, and she had stopped, wondering if that was the other combatant. Unfortunately, she held still for too long, and Roll managed to spot her outline. With a quick dash, Fog-Woman was suddenly one slash weaker. She raised her pistol for a counterattack, but Roll was already out of sight.
---
Before Shorde could enter the facility, he heard Robots--two of them, walking off towards a building. He pondered for a second; should he take out the small group first, or attack the larger squad inside the factory? Eventually, he decided on a quick warmup, and followed the two Robots as quietly as he could...

Bright Man groaned. "No, your operation will not be shut down, now that I know you recieved permission... But it would've been better to just tell me..."

"As for your brother," he said, turning toward Poison Man, "he'll be hearing from me shortly." Bright Man tried to bend his arm, saw that it worked fine (though it hurt to bend it a bit), thanked Heart Man for the fix, and left.
---
Snake Man and Crash Man both stopped when they heard what he said. "Well, you'll have to worry about-" Crash Man started to say, but he was too slow.

"-Bright Man informing Dive Man..." Snake Man finished. If that gave way, Poison Man- and most likely Tide Man too- would be in very bad trouble. Watching Bright Man walk out and back up to their position, they all asked if he was all right. "Fine. But Poison Man is in one mess of trouble." He walked off to his office.
---
Freeze and Cloud Man decided to check the ice storage build first- not only would it amplify Freeze Man's power if they ran into trouble, it would be easier to ambush the squad of Light's if they were inside due to the way it was set up.

"Stay together. If we split up, we could both be ambushed."

They walked into the large warehouse.

Poison-Man scratched the back of his head. "Well, I suppose I'll deserve it. Ah, well, Heart-Man, it's about time I've gotten in trouble--you've been hogging it all." His brother couldn't help but smile at this.

A few moments later, the sound of a third Hailstone shattering, followed by the sound of someone collapsing, reached the ears of the would-be spectators. Through the haze, Fog-Woman crouched beside Roll's body. "Heh...I said I wouldn't go easy. Hey, guys, she's out cold. Let's create a crossbreeze in here and give her a while to rest." At her command, the other Coda Robots opened up the door and window leading into the room. Shard-Man stayed by the window, and as the fog cleared out, he spoke one word to the spectators there: "Intermission."
---
Ugh, make up your mind. Which building are you going to?! Shorde rolled his eyes, rather irritated with the partners' indecision problem. He slowly and carefully drew his sword from the sheath on his belt, being very careful not to make any noise. Funny you should mention being ambushed, he thought to himself with a quiet snicker, and continued to follow the Robots. One was riding a cloud--having little experience with flying enemies, Shorde decided he would take him out first. He would likely be tougher, anyway--the other guy looked to be made of ice, and Shorde didn't think that would be a threat.

"So she'll need help with that lesson, obviously..." Crash Man said.

"Oh, come on. What she needs help with is an opponent that is able to attack from every angle. Like Gravity Man or Quick Man," Snake Man added.

"Or, me?" Drill Man cut in. "I'm able to burrow through walls. I'm sure I could help."

"Well, yeah, all of us could, but she might need help from them down there first... even if their methods of keeping others out are- uncanny, to say the least. They've got the basics covered. Once they're done, we can teach more complex strategies."

"Perhaps. It's a shame Bright Man probably won't go near that door any more. He's got exceptional experience in training with missing one of your most important aspects- the eyes. I'd say he's an incredible teacher."

"An incredible teacher, yes. A more by-the-books one, though."

"Debatable. He taught, like, half of the National Guard how to use your four other senses to detect the enemy if you're ever blinded. I once saw him teach a guy how to use taste to find the enemy!"

"Taste? You're nuts."

"It's all true. But even so, it would've been great for him to stay around..."

Snake Man shrugged. "Whatever. We've been sticking around far too long. We should head over to target practice." The others nodded, and headed off.
---
Bright Man was sitting at his desk, writing out a letter of reprimand to Poison Man, a piece of paper labeled Tide Man next to it. Busily filling out the paper as any official would, he wondered how they would take it. Poison Man would probably be fine with it, but Tide Man... he had never recieved one of these before. He had an extremely distuingished military career already, even if he'd only been in for half a year which made it all the more impressive. Getting this would hurt his chances of going anywhere further in army- and he might break his arm again. What were the grounds for this, anyway? Failure to comply to a commanding officer's demands, mutiny against a commanding officer, incorrect judgement resulting in injury to another... All of these were reasonable claims. It was sad to think that there was a meeting later that day discussing the fate of two soldiers being promoted, one of which was Tide Man. For this to happen right before it was putting said promotion in jeporady.

Yet, an offense is an offense. The DOS robots recieved theirs (quickly repealed by Dive Man, however), it was only fair for him to get one as well.

He had finished Poison Man's and was about to start Tide Man's when a buzzer sounded in his office. It was time for the meeting.

Bright Man sighed, put down the pen, and went off to meet with the other generals.

(Um, Proto, when Magnet says "jet," he's referring to something like the Item-2, but not identical.)

"Actually, I'll be the one teaching her about attack from all sides," Shard-Man muttered to himself, "and Fog-Woman was there to teach her about being unable to see...there are only two burrowers on the battlefield, and both are on our side. Maybe it wouldn't be so smart to add those guys to our lesson, after all..." Shard-Man appreciated the fact that they wanted to help, but the primary objective was to let Roll practice her combat abilities--and applicable situations came first.

Meanwhile, Tide-Man and Poison-Man were quietly talking with each other, hoping that the event with Bright-Man wouldn't damage their reputation too much...
---
For being such an honorable fighter, Shorde knew a little more about ambushes than he should have. For instance, he knew the first thing to do was wait for the perfect moment, and thus, he followed, syncing his steps with theirs so they would be less detectable. Finally, as the two rounded a corner, Shorde sprung on them.
Step two: Startle! As Shorde held his sword high and rushed at the small team, he shouted in an attempt to shock them: "Funny you should mention being ambushed!"

"Maybe it wouldn't be the best to butt in," Drill Man brought up as they were picking off targets. The three were still discussing the topic of Roll, even as they were at the shooting range.

"Why not? We know as much as they do and more," Snake Man cut in. "Take note they've been around for about a year. We've been here for nearly twenty more. "

"Yeah, well, it's obvious they know what they're talking about. It probably would be best to just- I dunno, leave them alone."

"What, and just sit there with no say in it? We want to help her too, damnit!" Crash Man shouted, blowing up a target with a Crash Bomb. "I don't really think they know how much a lot of us care about her."

"It's obvious they care about her, else they wouldn't be doing that!" Drill Man fired back. "We should wait for their consent to help out. If it comes or not, then we'll act accordingly."

Crash Man fell silent. After they were finished, they walked out.
---
"They did what?"

"Tide Man ordered a hold onto me, Poison Man did so, and my arm flew out of my socket. It was repaired immediately after, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen."

"Did you do anything to provoke them?"

"I simply went inside the training complex and asked if they recieved permission from anyone in authority to use it."

"That's how you were met."

"Yes."

Volt Man, Dive Man, Ring Man, Bright Man, and Spark Man were all seated around a table. As soon as Bright Man walked in, the discussions began on the promotions for Knight Man and Tide Man. Knight Man had already been approved beforehand (which Bright Man supported when he arrived), and they were discussing Tide Man when he brought up the incident.

"What are you going to do for punishment? Surely he can't be approved now!" Volt Man said. "He's committed mutiny against a commanding officer-"

"-says the guy who led his brothers on a rampage through the Light Base and broke out a dangerous prisoner. You were only allowed back onto the board because Dive Man put you back on personally," Spark Man said.

"Even so..." Volt Man started.

"Enough. You were put back on this board because of your intelligence and your adeptness at recapturing the prisoners let go," Dive Man cut in.

"But they're gone again, so-" Ring Man tried to say.

"Irrelevant. This has shown that Tide Man can make costly errors in judgement and feels that he us unable to listen to superiors with buisness that they are supposed to know about. Thus, I say he is ineligible for being elected to general status. All opposed?"

Spark Man and Ring Man raised their hands.

"All in favor?"

Bright Man and Volt Man raised their hands.

"It's decided. Tide Man will not be promoted, while Knight Man will."

"But that leaves an even number of generals! We need another to balance out the numbers..." Spark Man said.

"Who do you nominate, then?" Ring Man asked.

"Perhaps Mega Water S. could suit our needs," Bright Man said. "He's very bright and has experience with this kind of thing."

"I agree. He would be the second best choice if Tide Man cannot be promoted. Agreed?" Dive Man asked the four.

"Agreed," they said.

"Very well. Knight Man and Mega Water S. shall be promoted. Meeting adjourned."

"One minute," Spark Man asked. "What is the punishment that Tide Man is recieving?"

"A letter of official reprimand on the charges of unwilling to comply with a commanding officer, offense against a commanding officer, and incorrect judgement resulting in the injury of a fellow soldier."

"But won't that-"

"Yes. It will."

"... I suppose it can't be helped."

The generals walked out.
---
Cloud Man was a little quicker than Shorde, and he picked up Freeze Man as he floated upwards. They barely managed to miss the attack.

"Attacking me, in an ice storage? You Mobians really are fools," Freeze Man taunted as he launched an ice spike torwards him.

By now, the thick fog had cleared from the training room, and most of the Coda Robots were huddled together, discussing what to do. "I know we've got a game plan for her training already, but what if we were to issue something else in addition? As you already know, several people are in on her training, and I'm sure you noted what I said to Snake and Crash outside. Delete-Man was designed to teach her endurance already...but, what if we found some way to incorporate her 'fans?' "

Meanwhile, on the other side of the room, the remaining two outside the larger conversation were wrapping it up. "Look, I know it was an accident, but you've gotta look at what happened--you gave me a command, I obliged, someone got hurt. They'll probably punish you more than me."
Tide-Man did not respond, but just looked at the ground sadly.
---
"I'm not an idiot until you've beat me! And, quite frankly...I think you look sort of stupid!" Seeing as the ice's traction wouldn't let him walk away from the blow, Shorde ducked into a ball, revved up a Spin-Dash, and darted away from the spike in the nick of time. "We'll see who's the idiot," he continued, and he jumped up for another swipe at Cloud-Man.

"Me? Look stupid? Now you've made me angry," Freeze Man said. Cloud Man dropped him down, and he fired a Freeze Cracker up to the roof. Spikes appeared right afterwards, and they started to fall around Cloud Man and Shorde.

"Go away, you little rat!" Cloud Man shouted angrily, pushing himself away from the line of spikes. He fired a Thunder Bolt at Shorde.
---
Bright Man finished both letters. He read this silently to himself:

This letter of reprimand regards several offenses in which you have recently commited. These charges include assault of a commanding officer, failure to comply with a commanding officer, and incorrect judgement resulting in an injury to a fellow soldier- a commanding officer, mind you. Should any of this behavior continue, more drastic measures might be necessary, including discharge. Thus, I would suggest heeding my advice that this not be repeated.

Do not make me write another to either of you.

Bright Man
Second-In-Command, Light's Forces to Liberate Mobius

It didn't seem right that either one was getting these. Looking at the other side of the conflict, he imagined he probably sounded a bit overbearing. And cocky. Intrusive.

But the board approved it, so it probably should be done... right? Bright Man thought silently. I mean, the board alsoapproved sending the DOS bots on a suicide mission, and probably a lot of other questionable calls... One of which included Roll coming here after Dr. Light messaged them. That was a very long arguement. She barely got here by the plating of her teeth, Bright Man remembered. He should know- he voted against her coming, and he somewhat regretted he didn't win.

"Ugh, what are you doing? That's beside the point. I'd better go deliver these..." He put them into septerate envelopes, sealed them, signed his name in the corners, and stamped both of them with REPRIMAND in large, red letters.

He then left his office, taking the letters with him, before he stopped himself. What if training was still in session? He'd imagine he'd have to check... Even though he was afraid to step through that door again.

He walked past the window, glancing over at the robots inside. They were seemingly at intermission. He walked down the stairs (with his steps echoing the way- he was an aggresive stair taker), and punched in his security code for the door.

Walking inside, he located the two robots in question. He silently handed them the envelops. "I hate to write these, so don't let me write another," he said curtly. "By the way, Tide Man, it's a real shame this happened. I just came from a meeting regarding two promotions... One didn't make it." He walked out of the room, and shut the door with a thud.

As they were handed the letters, Poison-Man and Tide-Man exchanged a single glance at one another. That was all that needed to be said between them, and they opened their letters. Repeated looks told them that both their letters read the same, but by the time they were done, Tide-Man seemed much angrier. Poison-Man wasn't one for consoling, but he tried--"Hey, brother, what's got you feeling so bad?"
Tide-Man flipped over his reprimand, seemingly satisfied with its blankness. "Fetch me a pen and a clipboard, brother, and I will make my voice heard." Poison-Man knew that he was just as deadly with a pen as he was with his rockets, but he obliged--best to let him blow off his steam.

"I am not a rat!" With the Thunder Bolt staring him in the face, he hadn't enough time for a powerful slash, but Shorde settled to kick off of Cloud-Man and send himself back towards the ground. "Come on! I've done the honor of researching you, the least you could do is know my species!" Shorde was beginning to tire of the pointless banter already; he wanted to fight. A frozen stalactite from above threatened to drop itself on him, but as it did, he swiped up and cut it in half. "I've been trained," Shorde said simply, and he lunged at Freeze-Man for a stab.

Bright Man was speedy getting out of the training area. Only when he was up to the window did he step normally. Lost, he decided to pick up the daily paper. The Monsteropolis Times always supplied the army with the daily paper through the use of a special teleportation device.

Sitting down at his desk, he read the front page- which was not suprisingly centered on Mobius. "Dr. Light's Mistake," it read. "Why he should pull out of Mobius and leave the planet to Wily."

Bright Man skipped the story. The next article was much more positive- "Wily's 'Super Weapon' Not So Super?" It contained information on how "an unknown and 'dangerous' swordswomen isn't as dangerous as you might think. On two different occasions, she was taken care of quite well by Sword Man, master sword fighter, who recieved help from Blade Man from the DOS Rebellion long ago. Then, all of the DOS Robot Masters had surrounded and defeated her with one single shot. From the information we've recieved, she is currently locked up inside the Light's Base's prison. This will certainly help clear the DOS Robot Masters' somber reputation of being weak drone robots, and it might bring a more positive view onto the Light Forces after thousands were horrified by the news of the brutal slaughtering of the 2nd Rebellion Robot Masters."

Satisfied, Bright Man decided to go into more domestic news, skipping two pages that contained more info on Mobius. He scanned the page for an interesting story.

"Boy finds wallet, returns it to owner himself... Earthquake hits France, miraculously no injuries... Kalinka Cossack injured in car accident... Metro Rail looking to up- wait, what?" He shot back over to the article about his 'sister'. "Kalinka Cossack, age 17, was involved in a dangerous car accident on Thursday. Police say she was driving normally until someone slammed into the back of her car and it flipped over. Police arrived on the scene nearly immediately and managed to get her out, but by then she had lost a large amount of blood, and her left arm was broken. Among other injuries were a bad concussion and a broken foot. She was taken to Freidman's Hospital and Care Center, where she is currently in critical condition. No one has been charged."

If Bright Man thought he was caught off guard then, he must've felt like a bullet train hit him while his back was turned. He read the article again and again. He tried to see if he could rub it out. His face turned pale. He slammed the paper down on the desk and supported his head with his hand. How did we not hear about this? Why didn't thhe doctor tell us? Why aren't we there? Why did that happen? Who did it? What should we do? Under what circumstances did this get printed so late? Why? Why? Why? His head was swimming with unanswered questions. He stared half-heartedly down at the story. There was a picture of her being loaded onto the ambulance.

"This isn't good... Not with everything that's going on here..."

He decided it was best not to worry about it now. He started to sort some papers lying around his desk.
---
Freeze Man avoided the slash. "Oh, for the love of God, it's an expression!" He fired a Freeze Cracker at the sword, freezing it solid in a thin block of ice. "How about showing us what you do without that little toothpick of yours?"
