The footsteps the group heard came from none other than Blackout-Man. Though he hadn't caught wind of the discussion from around the corner, he definitely wouldn't had left Shadow-Man alone after what he had said. "Hey guys," he said with a friendly wave, "how have you been?" Still idling, I guess, even after all the crazy stuff that's been going on...anyway, Heart-Man told me to gather up Roll's fan club. I assume you guys are part of it, but who else is there? If we're both thinking of the same thing, we're going to need at least eight, or maybe ten."
Suddenly, the sounds of Roll fighting Wire-Man grew louder, as she succeeded in hacking off nearly all of his blue Cable Whip, but received a nasty shock as it fell onto her. "And soon, from the sound of it...so, any idea who else we could use?"
---
By the time Malware had slashed at him, Shorde was already out of reach. "Would you quit it with the offensive bio-form names already?! I don't call you guys 'rustbuckets' or 'bolt-brains' every two seconds!" Using his hands to stop rolling forward, he quickly got to his feet. For a brief moment, he looked at Malware, then his blade right behind her, pondering how Sonic would fight a foe like this.
Well, he mused, the first thing he'd do is recklessly charge them to see how easily he could hurt them. Without any further thought, he gave a high jump into the air, then curled up and launched himself at Malware's head--an old favorite of Sonic's, the Homing Attack. Shorde was no expert on the move, so he wasn't dead-on, but he assumed he would still hit her--and even if she blocked, he'd land behind her and pick up his sword again.
---
How on Earth is he shooting so straight?! Tide-Man managed to kick the large stone out of the way, but he didn't see the wall coming--he collided with it, and was promptly slammed into a building. He was really getting the wind knocked out of him, but it would take more than a few blunt hits to break his armor open--and, unfortunately, Stone-Man didn't have much else.
As Tide-Man stood up and dusted himself off, he muttered to himself, "I see you've become quite the sharpshooter. Well, I'm one too, buddy." There was no doubt that rushing him would only result in being hit with more rocks, so Tide-Man would have to wait for Stone to rush him. Presently, he waited for Stone-Man to come looking for him.

"Well, maybe Shadow wo-"

"Not interested," came a call from down the hall.

"...I guess I could round up the rest of the Third besides him," Snake Man muttered.

"I'm sure some more of the Fourth would like to help. Toad and Dust probably aren't busy," Drill Man commented.

"I guess I can help."

Crash Man looked past the Coda bot to see Quint standing there. "Ah, Quint! Wonderful. He's an exceptional fighter- his skill on the Sakugarne is unbelievable."

"Anything to help out my si- comrade in training," Quint said, hurt by his own mistake.
---
Malware grinned. "Blame the programming, dearie, it's hard to resist." She flew forward, readying to drive her swords directly up.
---
Buster Rod G. and company had just arrived in the base. Bright Man was waiting there. "Congratulations, Mr. Mega Water, you've been promoted to general."

"Hmm? Over who?"

"Tide Man."

"Huh. Neat, I suppose. Then I promote him to front-line general."

"You w-what?! But-"

"What? I'm a general, I give promotions. Obviously, if he was in competition for the spot, he's got to have a suitable position."

Bright Man's plan had backfired. Kicking Tide Man out in place of someone else had only managed to give him exactly what he wanted. "B-but y-"

"I think it's a brilliant idea!" Spark Man said. "I wholeheartedly agree." The robot had come from behind. "You have my backing, General, I'll get right on the promotion." Spark Man walked off, leaving Bright Man furious.

As Quint offered his help, Blackout-Man couldn't help but laugh a little. In his book, "skilled" and "Sakugarne" couldn't even go in the same sentence. "Alright, everyone, meet back at the window once you've dragged along everyone you can."
Blackout-Man decided to walk along with Snake-Man, thinking that he probably shouldn't idle. Wondering if it was worth starting up conversation, he walked with him in silence. "If my brother and I share the same thoughts, we need a lot of people to recreate a real battle scene--you know, crossfire, several opponents ganging up, things like that." Unsure if it was smart to say that, Blackout-Man eventually decided to keep his mouth shut; unless Snake-Man talked first, he would be as silent as his companion.
---
Without any way for him to stop himself, Shorde wound up launching himself straight into Malware's blades. They cut deeply, leaving a large gash on both of his arms. As he stood there, catching his breath and staring incredulously at his blood, he thought to himself, Well...Sonic could have taken a hit like that.
What was he thinking? She was a swordstress; he should be fighting her blade-to-blade! Though the pain was nearly unbearable, he hadn't trained to be a knight for nothing--he managed to gain control of himself and dash around to Malware's other side, leaving a small trail of blood as it dripped from his fingertips. As he gripped his sword and picked it up again, he glared at his opponent. "You got lucky...but I don't make the same mistake twice!" With a single step forward, he tossed a strong horizontal slash her way.
---
Eventually, Tide-Man realized that despite what he knew, Stone-Man had stopped chasing him. Knowing that even if he defeated that powerhouse (power stone?), he would be in no shape to fight Magic-Man, he began a quiet walk back to the base. In the heat of battle, he had completely forgotten why he was angry, and was currently wondering how Roll's training was going.

"Uh... You're just leaving? Well, uhm... good battle, I guess..." Stone Man muttered quietly. "Erm... don't let me catch you back here again, or it'll be like that, only 10 times worse!... I hope." He started off torward his own headquarters.
---
Spark Man and Ring Man were standing at the base's entrance, a smug smile painted on both of their faces. When Tide Man arrived, both of them went up to him. "Congratulations! You've been promoted, Tide Man! Front-Line General!" Spark Man said to him happily. "Yes. Dive Man has allowed you to meet on the board as well. Even if we have an even number, I'm sure we can find another general..." Ring Man said. "You will not be required to meet with the board, however, and you may fight as you please. We'll be holding the promotion ceremony soon."

Spark Man then spoke up. "We've also taken the letter of reprimand off your personal record- we all agreed that it was somewhat out of stress... it's hard trying to run this army, after all. We'd also like to apologize, too... Except for Bright Man, he's kind of festering in his office for some reason. You should thank him- Mega Water S. was the one who gave it to you! We'll be seeing you soon at the promotion ceremony." They both walked off.
---
Malware put both blades together in an X fashion, and flung them forward, countering Shorde with a mighty knockback. "I suggest turning back before you die of blood loss," Malware said curtly.
---
Quint's eyebrows furrowed at the laugh. "What was that for?" he said angrily. "You don't think I'm a force to be reckoned with?" His hands curled into fists, but he was calmed by Crash Man. "Save it for the battlefield- then you can show him." He frowned, and slowly relaxed.

"I told you, I can get the others from the Third besides Shadow, since he's... erm, not in favor of your methods. Drill also said Toad and Dust would be available, so... I don't know. Go grab the DOS Robot Masters. After all, they had to be tough- they beat you. They also beat your sister- twice. Be good training experience for the others too."

"Don't remind me," Blackout-Man said with a hint of anger. "It's embarrassing enough that I couldn't stop her, but I don't even want to think about the DOS guys. Besides, I heard they got a huge promotion or something after that whole deal--I doubt they have time to meddle with the likes of me."
"If you want me to try, though, then fine." Without bothering to ask where they were, Blackout-Man veered off to one side of the hallway and walked away from Snake-Man. He was still frustrated with his loss against the DOS unit, and the last thing he wanted to do was drag them off to his training. He was beginning to get the suspicion that the simulated battle wouldn't go nearly as well as planned.
---
Tide-Man just stood there, frustrated with everyone's good mood. "Don't I get a say in this, guys?" As everyone walked away without speaking to him, he sighed to himself. "Guess not."
He quietly navigated to a quiet room he could only guess was a lobby of sorts, and quickly took a seat. "Just your luck," he said to no one as he punched himself in the head, "when you don't want the job, they hand it to you on a freakin' silver platter." At this point, he didn't think it would be possible for him to be more frustrated--and yet he had so little energy to do anything. Figuring there was no way out, he sat in silence, waiting for the inevitable.
---
Shorde stumbled backwards a few steps, but that wasn't where the attack hit hardest--as he found his attack blocked, the shock went directly to his arms, sending jolts of agony to his injuries. Gritting his teeth in pain, he nearly let go of his sword.
For a moment, Shorde just stood there, panting. His heated blood continued to drip from his arms, evaporating the ice as it collided with the floor. Summing up his injuries and his opponent's skill level, he judged it probably would be best to run. "Well, yeah...my weapon isn't the greatest, you've got a good deal of strength and finesse, and cuts like this probably require some form of medical attention." As he spoke, Shorde's grip on his blade became tighter, and he pointed it straight at Malware. "But...I'm not the type who gives up easily. Our kind stare death in the face almost every day...and, admittedly, we've still had worse odds."
Suddenly, a smile crossed Shorde's face. "So before I run or die, I'm going to make sure I can hit you...and I promise, I'll be better prepared next time!" Carefully holding his blade, Shorde charged forward, and lunged at Malware for an incredibly powerful stab.

Sonic Man was toying with the end of his trident when he heard Blackout Man's footsteps. "Huh. Wonder what he's up to," he said silently to himself. He was a hallway ahead of him, so he had been passed up.

Instead, Blackout Man would be seeing Bit Man- the guy who sent an electricial drill into his face. He was overseeing a repair for a nearby computer. "I think... that wire goes right there," he said to the mechanic. "Here?" "Yeah, try it right there." He plugged it in, and the computer whirred to life. "Thanks, Bit Man," the mechanic said cheerfully. Bit Man waved to him as he walked away. He then began to look at the data sent through the computer.
---
Malware only laughed. "There will be no next time," she said. She caught the stab with her own swords, and she flung Shorde onto his back with force. "Why don't you fall unconscious right there? It's a suitable place for dying." She walked off, looking for Freeze and Cloud Man.
---
Magnet Man had been sitting over on the other side of the lobby area, and he overheard Tide Man.

"Congrats on the promotion over there," he said mildly. "Even though you don't seem too happy about it. I'd suggest changing your tune. Good things may be right around the corner for you.

"Think about this, Tide- why would they consider, let alone pick you for the board over people they've known and trusted for nearly a decade? You've got an influence now. Don't lose it."

"Sorry. I like to try and solve problems. It's just a thing I do."

"Are you kidding me?" Tide-Man groaned. "Magnets are supposed to have both positive and negative poles...your constant cheeriness is paradoxical."
Though it may have been out of stress, Bright-Man's second letter had taught Tide-Man more than a couple things, now that he'd had a chance to mull it over. "Being on the council only succeeds in giving me power. Power I didn't particularly desire. No one will like me or my siblings any more for it. And it was awfully foolish of me to think otherwise. Besides, I'll be the dark horse--it's likely no one would agree with me. And on the chance that they do, there's now an even number of council members--we'll never reach an agreement. Now, why don't you give your positive energy to someone who needs it--like Bright-Man? I know he's been crying about something."
---
Shorde had had high hopes for his last attack. At best, he thought, his opponent would be too slow and he would skewer her on his blade--that really would have turned the fight around. At the very least, he expected to plow through her defenses and leave her with a small injury.
The last thing he expected was for Malware to not only catch his "unstoppable" attack, but then proceed to launch him backwards yet again.

Shorde lay there in silence, head pounding from it slamming into the ground. He knew he couldn't fight in this state, so he tried feigning death--only to find it was unnecessary, as the girl had left the room. That, along with not suffering a concussion, was likely the only reason he survived. As he carefully sheathed his sword with one hand, he operated his wristwatch with the other, and eventually found a way to phone the base. Without waiting for someone to talk to him, Shorde delivered his message. "This is Shorde Ariame, bio-form. I'm in the ice storage about seventeen blocks away from the base. I've had a nasty run-in with a rouge Robot--some chick named Malware," he coughed. "I need an escort back to the base, medical attention...and an audience with The Dark One."
Too tired to turn off his radio, Shorde put his hands out to his sides and closed his eyes, trying to conserve energy and his life force.
---
After a while walking the hallways with no results, Blackout-Man sighed, and decided to start searching individual rooms. And, of course, with his luck, he found one in the very first room he popped into. There, in front of some sort of computer, was Bit-Man--the Robot who had both taken down his sister and freed her. "I just had to have the luck to run into you..."
Without waiting for the inevitable glare, Blackout-Man took a seat at Bit-Man's side. "Are you particularly busy? Because we, um, need some Robots to help us simulate a battle and complete Roll's training..." It practically pained him to say these words; first, he lost to this guy, then he asked him for help? "If you're too busy doing...computer stuff, it's perfectly alright, but if you're not, then you can meet outside the training room we're using--you do know where it is, right?"

After for running for miles, Ballade finally found Malware's jet in front of a building. "Finally found you." Ballade thought. He ran inside and saw Malware fighting a Shorde, FreezeMan, and CloudMan. Then he threw a Ballade Cracker at Shorde and announced himself. "Hey hedgehog, I have a beef with you!" Ballade said.

(...Ballade must be a pretty big asshole to throw a bomb at a bio-form who's nearly dead.)

"Yeah, sure thing. I'm just checking if any of the data on here was corrupted. Other than that, I'm free. I'll be there in a sec- if you want me to, I can go grab the others," Bit Man said. "Erm, what did you paticularily mean by that first statement?" he asked confusedly. "If it's about the Bit Cannon, I'm really sorry about that. Having been treated like shit for being weak as paper, even when we're not, kind of snapped our... trust with everyone. It really wasn't anything personal."

"I'll go grab the others, see you in a bi- uh, little while." He walked off.
---
Magnet Man only shrugged. "I don't see why you would fight it. Ring and Spark have your back in there, and I bet Mega Water S. does too. Just have to work on it a bit, Tide Man. You've got a perfect oppurtunity to show everyone your abilities and knowledge, to finally gain some respect from the whole robot community, and the ripple effect will follow on your siblings."

"If you want to know about Bright Man, Kalinka is in critical medical condition after suffering major injuries in a car crash. She has... erm, I think it was a 15.42 % chance of making it. Do you really think he needed that right now, when his army is about to be crushed into oblivion?" Magnet Man asked rhetorically. "He's under stress, you're under stress. I suggest just relaxing a bit. And as for the promotion? 'If life gives you lemons, make lemonade'. See how it goes for a while. If you like it, stay. If you don't, leave. Don't just give it up right away without doing anything with it."

OOC: Well, Ballade's goal is to become the strongest, and his dislike is dissappointing opponents...so yeah..plus, he holds grudges.

Shorde was already in a bad enough mood to see a dainty girl like Malware block his brutal stab. The last thing he needed was another fight from a purple-clad Robot. As the Ballade Cracker flew towards him, he feebly put up his legs in an attempt to launch the strange bomb away before it exploded. As he did, however, he remembered that his legs weren't nearly as injured as his arms, and he kicked the cracker away with skill.
"Are you stalking me?" Shorde grunted irritably. "Surely, you Robots have bigger fish to fry. Look, pally, your girlfriend there already roughed me up pretty bad, but I've called for backup. I recommend you haul bolts before they get here," he said with a slightly smug smile on his face.
---
Tide-Man didn't respond as fast to Magnet-Man's next statement. He was thinking about that last part--about Bright-Man, and Kalinka. "...You know what, you're right. As usual. Seems us Coda Robots get advice from the strangest of places. Sure, whatever, I'll give this thing a try--and the first thing I'd like to do is this."
Abruptly standing from his chair, Tide-Man marched down to Bright-Man's office, knocked softly, and let himself in. "Hello. I could imagine if you weren't happy to see me..."
---
In Bit-Man's haste to leave the area, Blackout-Man barely got a chance to share his thoughts. He clenched his fist, trying to resist challenging him to a formal duel. "It's not even that," he said after they left, "I should have been able to beat you! ...I should have been able to stop sister from getting loose."
Rather upset with himself for not saying it to Bit-Man's face, Blackout-Man stared at the computer screen for a few seconds, then left the room. Hopefully, everyone else's gathering was going just as smoothly.

"No, I was expecting to see you, actually..." Bright Man said softly. He turned around in his chair, and it was showing he was worse for wear. His eyes had large bags under them, and his face was thinner and pale. He spoke in a softer, more subdued voice than before. "I was going to look for you actually- to apologize. It was all my fault that you were kicked off the board in the first place... It was my fault entirely. I shouldn't have entered that room, I shouldn't have made such a big deal about my arm, I shouldn't have written either letters, I'm sorry about everything... I'm no use on the board. I shouldn't have made such foolish mistakes... And now my heart is broken, hearing of all the miserable reports the doctors are releasing on my beloved sister... How can I help lead an army on a broken heart?" he asked, more to himself than to Tide Man.

He pulled himself together immediately afterwards. "I'm sorry, just some depressed mumblings... I-is there any thing I can help with, M- General, Tide Man?"
---
Bit Man had heard Blackout Man say something, but he was unsure what. "Must still be angry at me or something..." he muttered. He found Sonic Man sitting idly in the hallway, told him what was going on, and went off to find the others.

"Wait, GIRLFRIEND!?" Ballade yelled, upset by Shorde's insult, supressing his feelings about Malware. Ballade put on a creepy smile. "I'm gonna tear your limbs off, first your arms, then your legs, then i'll leave your head on so you can watch me make your body explode with my Ballade Cracker!" Ballade rushed torward Shorde.

"That's the spirit. Keep up the aggression, and I'm sure she'll be all over you. Look, you already have things in common! You guys are just perfect for each other." Unsure how either Ballade or Malware would react to hearing this, Shorde slowly and carefully got to his feet, despite his collective injuries. "Look, wouldn't you rather fight me at my fullest? I'm sure I'll still be pretty easy then..." He nervously looked at his watch, silently praying that the help would arrive soon. Oh, come on, guys, you've gotta help me...
---
Blackout-Man found himself feeling rather bad about what he said, regardless of whether Bit-Man had heard it or not. "There will be time for a formal duel later," he said to himself as he left the small computer room, and began walking back to the window. Through the window, he caught the sight of Roll cutting off the remainder of Wire-Man's red Cable Whip, as Heart-Man gave him a thumbs-up from the group of Coda Robots. Whatever he was planning, it was progressing smoothly.
---
"Oh, please, there's no need for formalities. Or apologies. We are...regrettably...the same rank now, and your letters showed me that I clearly wasn't ready for this role. I'm stuck with it, though, so I'm just going to try to make the best of it. And, well, to answer your question, you can't--but I still have one piece of advice for it. Don't let your sadness turn into rage--it's funny to hear that from me, but it'll only make you hated like us. And Roll...and with your status, you can't have people hating you. As for your...depressed mumblings, that's exactly why I'm here--to talk to you about that."

"Magnet-Man told me everything about Kalinka's condition--fifteen something percent chance of survival, he said. Now, I'm no expert on humans, but I think I know something that'll at least lighten your mood. One day--we had just begun to settle into society--I decided to visit Heart-Man over at Loose Ends. At the time, he was studying furiously to become an efficient human surgeon--our storage room was stacked ceiling-high with books on human anatomy, psychology, and surgical procedures. Anyways, we greeted each other, and he began to tell me about some of the things he'd learned. Of course, I was no human surgeon myself, so he only told me about the things I might find interesting.
"And he certainly delivered. I had never imagined that us humanoid Robots were so different from the real thing. But, where I'm going with this is the one thing he told me that day that I found the most interesting--I think he called it 'The Placebo Effect' or something. It's this phenomenon where the human mind is the driving force behind one's recovery--the sheer mentality that the person will get better is what causes them to get better. You hear about it being more with sickness than injury, but as far as I'm concerned, it'll work no matter what.
"So what I think you should do is...go see her. Whether they'll let you or not, go see her. You're in no shape to keep running this army, anyway, and your absence will likely give us enough time to find another new face to bring us back to an odd number again. So take a break; go back to Monsteropolis and talk to her. Convince her--or at the very least, convince yourself--that she'll get better, and she will.
"Destined for death or not, you know you want to see her right now...so go see her. Fifteen percent chance of survival...you know what Coda calculated for our percent chance of failure? Zero." Tide-Man raised one hand to his face, and quietly took off his mouth guard, revealing a bright smile. "I'd offer to come along with you, but something tells me you wouldn't appreciate my companionship. But remember to keep a bright attitude--that's your thing, right?" Tide-Man rose from his seat and saluted Bright-Man, the blue of his armor striking a stunning similarity to his aqua blue eyes. "Now, get out there, soldier, and beat the statistics."

Bright Man offered a grim smile. "You're starting to sound like Toad Man, with those puns of yours," he said softly. "All right, I'll go. I'll inform General Dive Man of my plans- thank you, General. I do hope there's going to be no more bad blood between us."

He shook his hand briskly, and out he walked.
---
"What is that foolish hedgehog muttering about?" Malware said coldly. She was still looking for the two robots who ran off...

...and they had give her the slip. As fast as they could, Freeze Man fired two Freeze Crackers into Ballade's arm shooters, and Cloud Man picked both Shorde and Freeze up. They began to fly out an open window on the top. "You let us live, we let you live," Freeze Man said bluntly, forming a mass of water on Shorde's arm. He quickly freezed it, forming a small but effective cast around his wounds. "That should hold for a while- at least until you get back to your base. We'll get you there- hopefully without you losing too much blood."

(...Um, Proto? Not only did you miss the part where Cloud-Man lifted Shorde up and out, but I'm almost positive you would have to break something in order to slam someone's forearms together.)

"Don't worry about it! Us Coda Robots, we never forget...but we can forgive. You just worry about you for now." Tide-Man snapped his mouth guard back into place, and then spoke to no one. "Oh, 'lighten your mood,' heh heh. I get it...but I wasn't even trying there!"
Now feeling a lot better--and slightly surprised that Bright-Man had listened--Tide-Man walked back out to the waiting room he was in before. "Gee, maybe I will wind up enjoying this."
---
A shout from Roll indicated the end of the duel between her and Wire-Man, as he was now fully missing both of his Cable Whips. Looking around at the parts she had cut off, Wire-Man smiled and said, "Now, that's how you disarm an opponent," which got everyone in the room laughing a little.
Suddenly, the strongest of the Coda Robots stood from his seat, and used a couple simple mechanics to get his oil flowing. "All riiiiight!" Poison-Man shouted, "with Blackout slipped away, that means it's my turn! I hope you're ready for a real fight, missy--"
Heart-Man stopped him with one arm, continuing to put Wire-Man's Cable Whips back on with the other. "Negative. You will have a chance to battle her, but not alone. Depending on the output, of course..." Heart-Man turned his attention towards the window, watching for others.
---
Shorde just stared at his two unexpected saviors. "Well, I guess I owe you guys a thank you. But a word of warning--don't mistake this as me "owing you one" or liking you. As a matter of fact, just put me down somewhere where Malware and Ballade won't find me--I don't want you guys knowing where the base is."

"Whatever. We want to get killed by those two as much as you do- not at all," Freeze Man muttered. "Drop him off on a building top a few blocks from here, Cloud. That'll give him some distance." He pointed to a building nearby, checking Shorde's arms again. "Not bleeding as much now... The casts will help them scab faster."

They dropped him off, and flew away.
---
Bit Man opened the door with all of the DOS Unit minus Volt Man. He also had Dust Man, Toad Man, Blizzard Man, Flame Man, and Tomahawk Man with him. "All right, we've come for the training. The other three said they'd be coming soon."

Quint was also there, a frown on his face. "I've copied some of the strongest weapons I could find from Light's database. I'm ready when you are." He peered around at the Coda bots. "I won't be using the Sakugarne, either," he added, disgusted he was stuck with such an awful weapon. "Is Rock going to be here? He pulled in with the Genesis Unit being carried by Hyper Storm H. not too long ago. He must've been hurt or something since he went straight to his room. I thought he was preparing to help with ou- his, sister when he went, but I guess not. I just wanted to know if I'd be the only copywep person here."

Shorde smiled--he wasn't going to object, but what the Wily Robots were afraid of had nothing to do with saving him. Looking around, he quickly spotted the Dr. Light Base, and after a brief consideration, he leaped off the edge of the building. He was expecting a ridiculous amount of pain, but the casts around his forearms seemed to absorb most of the shock. He marveled at the ice's durability--his blood had melted the ice just fine back in the storage area, but this had continued to hold. I guess they weren't kidding when they named him Freeze-Man.
It was then that Shorde suddenly remembered that he had left his watch on. Trying to avoid further injury, he carefully lifted it back into view, and spoke into it again. "Change of plans, guys. I got a lift from our mortal enemies. I'll be there soon. Be sure that The Dark One is waiting for me." With that, he started running towards the base, trying to avoid any further incidents. Just in case there were, however, he left his watch on again.

"Ooh, what a good turnout. And still more to come, you say...very well, then. I only hope we'll be able to end with an odd number."
Heart-Man suddenly stopped, and specifically addressed Quint. "I hadn't heard anything about Mega Man returning from his mission...in that case, I guess it was a success. I'm actually a little glad he isn't here, though, because he's probably a little too good for what we have in mind."
Heart-Man suddenly frowned, realizing how cryptic he was being. He turned back to the assembly and said, "I'm sorry, I should probably explain what 'what we have in mind' is. Roll has been progressing nicely today--but we realize that we've only been teaching her important dueling tactics," he blurted out, trying to keep the audience's attention from switching. "This isn't your standard Rebellion where it's always one-on-one--it occurred to us that several opponents may gang up and target her specifically."
"In order to remedy this, we're going to simulate a battle--that's right, a full-scale battle, meaning no holding back. Once everyone is here, you'll be divided into two teams--obviously, one of you will be playing the bad guys. Roll will be the 'captain' of one team, and Quint...well, since you're the only other superweapon who decided to show, you'll be the captain of the other. "Your objective will be to defeat the captain of the other team"--at this point, Roll began to shift uneasily-- "but, naturally, their teammates will try all they can to prevent that. So, obviously, you may wind up getting sidetracked from that.
"Now, two of us haven't gotten the chance to fight Roll one-on-one, and, well, a few of us were really looking forward to that. So to avoid short-changing them, they'll be participating in the battle as well...but, well decide who's on each team once everyone has arrived."

Time's up.

Vestra closed her eyes and sighed. It was time to get her plan into action. The bots she found, they could be useful allies to protect her current base.

Vestra: Okay... So, Cloak Man.
Cloak: Yes?
Vestra: I need you to find the Wily base. Once you do, return and give me the coordinates.
Cloak: Okay. I'll get on it right aw-
Vestra: I don't mean the base in this universe. I'm going to attack Wily at the core, destroy every last thing he got in his own universe. A "taste of his own medicine" if you will. That, will be phase one. I have already designed a portal for this task.

What she did not mention was phase two. Phase two was to kill every last Robot Master on her planet, to send a message to not mess with her ever again. Though, naturally, she would wait until the current conflict is over.

And then there was phase three. Vestra smiled at the thought of phase three.
