(Woah woah woah, Proto, you're doing way too much thought-reading here. You should only respond to the things Shorde--or whoever you're talking to--says out loud. I'll just pretend you didn't say that bit about "The Fat Man.")

And just like that, Shorde had been threatened.
And it was noble to not back down when threatened.

Without missing a beat, he ran over to where one of Ballade's explosives had detonated on the ground. Carefully and hurriedly picking through the debris, he eventually found a long, sharp fragment of rock from the mountainside he could use as this fight's weapon. Quite frankly, he felt lucky to have found anything at all.
Shorde turned and faced Ballade, who was caught up in fighting the strange silent fellow who'd appeared from nowhere. While he was occupied, he dashed at them, aiming to make a quick slash at them with the rock.

"Hmm... it seems things are escalating for the worse... It's time I made my leave." Sword Man dashed silently down the opposite side of the mountain, and calmly headed on his way.
---
"Now that you mention it, it might not be a good idea to build those robots after all... Oh well, he only has made three so far. I doubt they'll make too much of a difference."

Dust Man, however, seemed to be in no mood to talk after that. He was quietly pondering the issue in his mind. If those bots fall into Coda's hands- he thought.

He couldn't think much longer, however. His eyes were starting to dim, his movements were plauged by incessant twitches. Finally, he simply ran out of juice, and collapsed on the floor.

Heart-Man sighed quietly. Guess Dust-Man needed the battery recharge more than I thought. He calmly hoisted Dust-Man onto his shoulders, and carefully exited the factory. At least he had a good, long battery life.

Heart-Man pulled up his virtual map of Mobius and started tweaking his radio frequency, looking for Plug-Man's signal. Eventually, he found it, in a place not far from the city he had first seen him in. He switched his right arm to the Item 2 Plug-Man had given him (Man, this thing was useful), and spawned another hoverboard pointing directly towards the signal. He carefully set the "dead" Dust-Man on the board, and carefully jumped on where he could before it blasted off towards its destination.

"Urk... the city..."

Drill Man was lying on a street as a city was in flames. He and Skull Man were supposed to protect it, but he was betrayed and it was bombed with the help of Skull Man.

Drill Man wasn't in too good of shape. Both of his drilling arms were completely broken and sparking erratically, his chasis was burnt and cracked, and his left leg was split and leaking oil badly. He desperately sent out a distress call to any bot who could help, but no word had been recieved. He remembered Heart Man was here, but had he recieved the plea?

"Well, well, well... Look who we have here." Skull Man walked up to Drill Man.

"You... You'll pay, Skull Man! You've betrayed Light, Cossack, your own brothers-"

"As if I care for the lot of you. I was the bad one of the bunch, while you and the others were held in high esteem. I could care less for you."

"This will not slip past Light's forces, I assure you that!"

"It will, as long as you can't tell them." He let his Skull Buster free, sending three shots into Drill Man's torso.

"Burn, you fool. I will enjoy watching it." He walked off, as the transmitter was still beeping.

As Heart-Man neared the strange facility where he could only guess Plug-Man had holed himself up, he felt another distress call being drilled into his mind. He should've guessed that as the only medic, he'd be very busy. Ugh, time to go run off to another haphazardly built area, encounter another tag-team of two Wily robots, and teeter on the edge of death--without an E-Tank this time.
Heart-Man's first day on the job was not going so well for him. And more importantly, why did everyone know he was here?

Oh, well, his first priority was to deal with his first patient. As he neared the doors of the facility, he switched back to his normal arm, making the hoverboard disappear. Skillfully weaving his way past the defense turrets, Heart-Man made it inside with no damages. He knew his talent for running away would have to come in handy eventually. "Plug-Man? You here? I'm back..."

Plant Man answered the call from the door instead. "He left a few minutes ago. He recieved a distress call from one of our guys."

Plant Man was a little shocked to see Heart Man there. He had heard the terrible things that happened in the Hacker's Rebellion, and he knew Heart Man was involved. Why was he carrying Dust Man? And why did he refer to Plug Man?
---
"Hold your positions! Don't let this city fall!"

Plug Man knew it was only a matter of time before this city was destroyed. There would only be two left, and judging from their positions, Vestra's looked like the most suitable target. Bright Man and Wind Man are here, yes, but there's no way that would be enough. "Bright Man, stats on the evacuation."

"1/2 of the city is safe."

He noticed a purple object moving in. "That's one half too few! Get moving!" His plug arm started to spark. "This better work..."

Heart-Man knew that look on Plant-Man's face.
That was the terror masks of the people he'd seen when he took over the hospital.
Plant-Man was from the Sixth Wily Rebellion. They had a Plasma Pistol and a life-draining petal shield--which was actually used as a base for Heart-Man's Regen Cannon.

"What, did you miss the memo? Funny, everyone else knows I'm here." Heart-Man rolled his eyes at Plant-Man, a little frustrated with his behavior. "I'm not here to hurt you, I'm a good guy now. Been working at the hospital, operating on humans and robots alike for months.
"Speaking of operations, you need to plug this guy in somewhere. He's fine, his battery's just dead." He set Dust-Man down on an empty table, glad to have the burden off his shoulders.

...Wait a second. Of the few good robots there were, Heart-Man didn't recall Plant-Man being here. Which means they must have been sent in recently...maybe he could get him some news from Monsteropolis. "So, how are Dr. Light's latest line of soldiers coming along? What are their powers?"

"I only caught a glimpse of them... One of them kind of looks like a space shuttle, another much like Bright Man." He plugged a cord into Dust Man, and he started to charge.
---
"Ack!" Wind Man shouted as he took another hit. Napalm Man, Grenade Man, and Search Man invaded the town, and the three were helpless against them. Bright Man was already knocked out, with Wind Man becoming a likely candidate for the next...

...A space shuttle? Really? Dr. Light had never built a robot that wasn't strictly humanoid, so this was definitely...interesting. Probably in a bad way.
Heart-Man flipped open a panel on his left leg, and plugged it in as well. He might as well recharge his battery too, while he was here. "Well, judging that you know about the new Light series, I guess you're new around here. Well, I know that Burst-Man and Gravity-Man were at an old chemical refinery, but it's exploded from a trap, so I don't know where they are now. Shade-Man and Charge-Man were at this place called Scrap Brain Zone--I just got back from there--and they stole a power generator from the place. I'm not sure why they wanted it, but it can't be good. They're a good team, them, don't go after them alone--they would have killed me if it weren't for the Energy Tank I brought with me. Which reminds me, do you know if there's a way for us to synthesize E-Tanks here?"

Astro Man slowly flew Vestra's home city. He took into account every nook and cranny that could be used as a fire starter. "Hmm... no, no, maybe... Yes!" He noticed a nuclear power plant that could decimate the entire city. "That will work. I'll go tell Gravity Man now. Ekekeke!" He flied away to the hidden base.

Time's up.

Vestra: ...It just occured to me... The power plant's a prime target.
Tiamat: And if they take that out, our shields will go out!
Vestra: Actually, I have my own generator. The shields won't be affected, neither will any of my defence systems. I just need to activate the shield I put over there.
Tiamat: Why did you put a shield there?
Vestra: In case anyone wanted to use it like a bomb.
Tiamat: ...I see.

Fake Man calmly knocked on the door of Vestra's home. The defense turrets hadn't fired (thankfully)- obviously someone put in a good word for him.

Plant Man opened the door, politely letting him inside. As he saw Vestra, he pulled out a hastily drawn note. "M'am," he said, thrusting the note on the table. "It would be best to evacuate at this hour. I assume the next city that will be bombed will most likely be the one closest to your home, so it would be smart to leave. That is a written notary saying you have legally obtained acsess to one of our many safe zones. I highly recommend you leave. Now."

He stood at attention, waiting to direct her to a safe zone.

"Fake-Man!" Heart-Man snapped to his feet, and offered a salute. "Are you sure there is nothing we can do to prevent the bombing? I know our one aerial unit, Tornado-Man is here, so why isn't he doing something?!"

Fake Man smiled under his armor. "At ease. And I'm afraid not," he sighed. "Tornado Man was wiped out two days ago- badly. Light's still trying to fix him. Plus, with 6 bots who can fly, it'll be hard for just one to beat them. Even defeating just two is a struggle."

"If you wish to stay, fine. But I doubt those shields could survive a direct hit from an Astro Crush, or nuclear fall-out..." He turned and left.

Vestra: Actually, it can. I tested it against such conditions, and worse.

She smiled.

Vestra: Besides, the plant's safe.

She activated the Power Plant Shield.

Sighing, Heart-Man dropped his salute. "Ugh, we just had to ship him back to light. He's too busy focusing on his "almighty new Robots" to worry about fixing who truly counts right now...why, if I had Light's technology, I could have him up in a matter of hours!"

Heart-Man looked back at the self-absorbed engineer who claimed they could protect them--and, unknowingly, the person who had tried to kill him about twelve pages ago. "What makes you so sure we're protected? May I see the blueprints for your precious shields?" Heart-Man sighed; he probably wasn't going to get an answer. At least Fake-Man was dutiful enough to answer him--he still hadn't gotten an answer from Plant-Man about E-Tanks. Not only were they indispensable in combat, they were needed as fuel for his Energy Shocker.

Vestra: Hmm... Well, I'll think about it. If you need to charge up, there's a recharge field in the lab you can use. Just step into the lab, and it'll activate on its own, and recharge you.

Plant Man seemed confused over Dust Man. His energy readings were completely filled, but he never turned on. He tried switching him back on, but to no use. "Heart Man, I think something's wrong... Oh, right, the E-Tank question." He tossed two of them to Heart Man. "Maybe something's wrong with the internal wiring..."

"I'll take that as a yes. Thanks!" Heart-Man flipped open the panel on his left arm, and stashed one of the E-Tanks inside.

Seeing that his own battery was full as well, he unplugged from the power outlet and closed the panel on his leg again. He stood up and looked over at Dust-Man, a little concerned. "I'm almost certain I did everything right...I don't see why he isn't functioning. He didn't show any symptoms of Roboenza, so it can't be that..."
