One of the Joes peered around the corner of the building they hided behind, and noticed the two guards- "Jumbigs," he muttered under his breath. Without waiting for an order, he waved the two other Joes over, along with the Picketmen. He spawned the Joe sled again- only this time, the sides were taken off. The Picketmen climbed onto it. With a flash of fire, the sled rocketed torward the door, and the Jumbigs tried to squash it. The Picketmen leaped upwards beforehand, though, and in a spectacular fashion they pierced their large, bulbous eyes with their picks, sending them crashing down just as the door was busted open. The Joes then charged inside, looking for any possible threats. --- "It was Frost Man," Rock replied with a sigh. "He's always pretty tough. It was harder for me to face him that time, so I had to take a rest, is all." He won't cause me any more problems now, however, he thought cruelly. "Let's just change the subject, all right? What's your next plan of action for training?" --- A mid- size robot with a lightbulb on his head quietly stepped off the teleporter, seemingly marked by depression but containing a peaceful undertone. He looked around in a gruff manner, getting a grip on the situation inside of the base. He headed immediately to the conference room, and found Dive Man and Ring Man sitting there. "Brothers... I bring news." "Is she doing well?" Ring Man inquired. He shook his head. "Is her condition the same?" Another shake. "Is... Is she... dead?" The robot only nodded. Bright Man had returned. |

Heart-Man was the next one in after the Joes, and noting how dark the facility was, he switched to his Welding Fist and followed what little light it gave off. From what he could see, the facility had a high ceiling, and he thought he saw black shapes shifting in the darkness--Battons, he thought to himself, no doubt an ambush group for when we turn on the lights. He slowly paced forth in silence, expecting to be jumped upon by a Big Eye at any moment. He briefly looked over to one wall, seeing nothing of the unusual sort so far--a simple row of Sniper Joes were stored, shoulder-to-shoulder. Heart-Man idly wondered if any of them were already programmed, and about to activate and guard their brethren. --- "Frost-Man..." Roll was reminded of his intimidating figure, and how Vestra had killed him. She wanted to ask some more questions, but she respected her brother's privacy. "...yeah, he is pretty strong." "Now, Rock...I just said I wasn't going to train anymore. It's clearly not helping...the only thing to do is go out into the field and try to help. I'll be taking night watch tonight, and don't be surprised if I don't come back. I just don't know what else to do at this point...all I can do is keep practicing, just the way you did." "And, I...I just wanted to get your blessing, before I headed out." Roll smiled grimly to her brother, hoping he understood what she was thinking. "I know it won't change anything...but it would mean a lot to me." |

"Oh, right, yeah. Sorry, sis, guess I've just been a bit flustered. Good luck out there- and if you ever need any help, just remember that we're all here for you." "I gotta head out now, Roll- I'll talk to you later." He raced out through another hallway, heading to Dive Man. --- The Joes carefully made their way through the facility, checking through the numerous amounts of drones, until they apparently found what they were looking for. "Heart Man, bring the others over here- we found something pretty important." They hit a button on a nearby door control panel, and revealed a secret basement passage. Underneath the building was the real goldmine- thousands upon thousands of robots, all neatly stacked and categorized into storage. From the looks of it, they were inside a room with robots from the Seventh Rebellion- and in the back sat one of Heart Man's old enemies, King Gojulos, hooked up to a charging station and dormant. "Wow... even minibosses... This place is chock full of robots. We'd better try to get the ones in the back out first- start reprogramming the Van Pookins, the crab guys, the polar bears... maybe we could even get old Gojulos back there." The Joes and the Mummiras then split into a group together. "We'll search the lower levels and see what we can find. We'll be back in five minutes." The group of five headed down to the next level. |

Heart-Man waved off to the group with his Buster arm. "I'll keep track of the time...stay safe, guys, and don't turn on any lights." As they paced away quietly, Heart-Man reluctantly de-equipped his weapons and walked up to one of the Van Pookins. He was no master of coding, but he had learned enough from watching Coda to crack these firewalls--after hooking himself up to the massive pumpkin, he found it easy to get into its internal coding. "he must've not wanted these guarded very hard," Heart-Man thought aloud idly, "Coda would have solved this in seconds." Once he was finished with one, Heart-Man quietly moved on to the next. Looking back briefly, he uttered another word to his teammates: "Let me know if you guys need any help." --- Roll's smile became slightly more cheery as she watched Rock take off down the hallway. "...Thanks, brother. Hopefully, I will come back in one piece." A quick jog through the base later, Roll was outside again. The Sun had nearly set on the day, meaning night watches would be starting soon. She checked her battery briefly, and guessed she could last to the next morning before her battery died. Without hesitation, she quickly started upon a patrol route that asked for trouble, walking the entire perimeter of the Light side of the city... --- Dr. Coda quietly descended the stairs into the prison, smiling his scheming smile. Behind him was a platoon of twenty unusual-looking Joes--they bore a watery blue color scheme, and their eyes glowed yellow in their visors. "Sorry for keeping you waiting," he said, "but it took a while to construct your reward." At the snap of his fingers, the Joes dropped their shields and got into a battle stance, holding their strange weapons--unlike normal Joes, they all had Buster arms, and these had lines bearing fluid inside them. "Hydro Joes, I call them, made specifically for you. They fire concentrated streams of compressed water; you are free to use them as you like." Picking up on his words, the Joes saluted, picked up their shields, and marched over to Aqua-Man. "They're also capable of speech...a feature not found often in Joes. Also..."--at this point, Coda handed Aqua-Man a briefcase--"five thousand Screws. That's what you Wily Robots use as currency, yes? It's not a lot compared to Wire-Man's production cost, but I think you'll be more than satisfied with it. Use your rewards wisely...and hopefully, you'll use them to continue to prove your worth." With a quiet wave to Aqua-Man, Coda pulled up a chair and sat, waiting for his creation to regain consciousness. Edited by CHAOS_FANTAZY, Sep 17 2012, 05:50 PM.

"Yes, Dr. Coda. Thank you for your charity." Aqua Man marched off with his Joes, already schemeing on what to do next. --- The Sniper Joes, along with the Mummiras and Picketmen, quietly descended the stairs. Peering into the darkness, they found robots from the 2nd Rebellion. Robo Rabbits, Prop Tops, Fan Fiends, Crazy Cannons- all of that and more were stored inside. The minibosses in the back were also all there. The Sniper Joe squadron looked up and saw no signs of guard Battons, so they switched on the lights. Nothing attacked. They began walking through the inventory, searching through the robots, when they came across land armors used in the 2nd Rebellion. The Joes eagerly rushed torward them. "Wow, land armors! These things were really strong back in the 2nd," a Joe remarked. The thoughts were interrupted when a shot rang out from the eastern portion of the warehouse. The soldiers looked to the side and saw a platoon of Returning Sniper Joes aiming torward them. "Defensive positions!" the lead Joe ordered. He took cover behind a large fish bot as the enemy Joes started to attack. "We've got company, Heart Man," he radioed the leader as he began to fire shots of his own. --- "How do you she's-" "Let me rephrase my answer, brother," Bright Man said. "She is alive, but due to the terrible concussion she suffered, doctors believe she will not remember most anything. They will say it would be a miracle if she remembers anything past 2 years old." "So she won't remember us at all?" "Most likely not." "Oh..." Ring Man said. "Well, she's alive, though..." "Not in the same way." "... Hmm. This might be good for us," Dive Man said shortly. "W-What? Good for us? There's no way this is good!" "Ah, but you don't know this for sure. This reminds me of another girl who lost nearly everything, and had to start again." Ring Man and Bright Man both looked at each other in confusion, but once it was realized they stared in understanding at Dive Man. "You're right. Maybe this will be good for us. We learned what happens if you do it once, and we won't let it happen again." "And maybe we'll be able to make up for our mistakes. We'll just have to see." The robots nodded at each other, then began to work anew. |

"Are you serious?" Heart-Man quietly sighed, rapidly finishing his third Van Pookin. "Of course nothing can go off without a hitch...Skull. Pharaoh. Continue the reprogramming process; soldiers are approaching from the lower floors and I'm going to go help." Without much time for though, he sprinted off after the Robots, quickly switching to his Circle Saw and Regen Cannon. He had a feeling he would need it for the fight. As he arrived on the scene of combat, he charged straight ahead, firing his Regen Cannon for support and revving his Circle Saw. He figured he was more durable than his soldiers, and that he shouldn't fear them. When he got close, the Joe raised its riot shield to block, and Heart-Man met it with his saw. Normally, a Joe's shield would be second only to Proto Man's in what seemed to be invincibility--but the Joes were old, and their shields brittle from disuse. Heart-Man could see his Circle Saw slowly cutting through, making cracks in the shield as it went. As soon as he did, though, the Joe was quick to follow, and bashed Heart-Man with his shield, sending him sprawling. "Their shields are weak," he called to his allies, picking himself up again. He clambered on top of a giant fish robot, shouting, "coat them with bullets!" --- Roll walked on in silence, finding the sound of her footsteps rhythmic and almost systematic. She was eager to encounter someone, anyone, on her patrol, but she was unsure how likely that was. She dared not get excited when she heard footsteps approaching, because she knew it was just the footsteps of another Light officer on their own, smaller route. Roll turned towards the Sun for a brief moment, watching the last rays sink below the horizon. As twilight turned to full-on nighttime, the air became slightly chilly, and darkness easily overtook a lot of Roll's vision. Continuing on her route, she began to practice arbitrary things to herself, like drawing her sword for combat. Eventually, she became good enough to pull off the motion in less than a second without much thought. She considered making the method more intricate, but she figured it would be good to focus on winning before winning with style. On she walked, and eventually, Roll broke the silence with herself: "Gosh, it sure is strange to wish something bad would happen..." --- "Woah, you nuts?!" Shorde ran back, the explosions lighting up the dark for a brief moment. "Don't go toying around with explosives at night, it's dangerous! We should be more careful...and now that the Sun's set, I don't mind as much." He unsheathed his blade, noting that his arms had fully recovered from Malware's attacks. "Don't worry..." Shorde paused for a brief moment, thinking to himself. "Metal Render's got it covered." With that, Shorde pushed Proto Man aside and started carving a path through the twisted metal... --- Tide-Man sighed as he heard another knock on his door. "Come in..." Another sigh accompanied the sight of Dr. King striding in. "Hello, again. I assume this is important...what have you to tell me?" |

"Yes....VERY important. A strategy that will END this war once and for ALL." Dr. King said. He walked to TideMan's desk, put the suitcase on the desk, and then opened it in front of him. "Call me crazy but......it is amazing!" Inside the suitcase were blueprints, and a written document, and some papers. "I will explain in detail these plans in today's confrence, if you will allow me to attend, that is." Dr. King said. -------------- (Proto was in the air dropping them from above CHAOS, but it doesn't matter.) From his ProtoJet he could see Shorde's sword slashing throught the rubble. "That's handy." ProtoMan siad as he went back to his task. |

The Light Soldiers complied by riddling the shields with bullets. The shields started to crack and fall apart, sending the Joes into a hurried retreat. Soon, all of them had either fled into lower levels or had fallen from the fire coming from the Light forces. "Thanks for your help, Heart Man," the lead Joe said. "We'll see if we can start rebooting some of the bots here to provide us some extra support. Hopefully we won't run into too much more trouble." With that, the robots began to look into some of the coding in the nearby enemies. "Hey, you two!" the Joe said to the two Mummiras. "Help out the three upstairs- the Picketmen and we can cover this." --- As the night descended along the city, another robot began to march through the city on his own patrol route. It was Search Man, with one head merrily whistling to himself, the other trying to get him to stop. "Shut up." "Why should I?" "Because I said so." "Well then, I guess I'm not shutting up." "What if there's someone around here?" "Hmph. We've got enough firepower to blast them into the sky." "Whatever." He began to whistle again, until he was interrupted by the other head. "Hang on, I got an enemy reading near here... Lock in your missiles and be ready to fire." The two heads began to transmit information between themselves. With a click and a point, the bazooka arm fired three Homing Sniper missiles at their target to the east- Roll. |

"Oh, boy..." Tide-Man was willing to listen to many ideas, but he didn't have much faith that the new scientist already had all the answers. "Kid, you're trying far too hard. I don't expect a lot from you, so why are you so eager to get everyone to rest their hopes on you? Chances are we'll be let down anyway...no offense, but you're a professor, not a warmonger." As he spoke, he looked over the papers he was being presented. "Tell you what, though...I'll spend tonight reading over these, and if they're any good, I'll take them--and you, as a guest--to our next meeting. If not, I'll have to make up for lost rest and the army will be one general short for a while. Is that a risk you want to take?" Tide-Man knew this risk would scare off anyone who wasn't one hundred percent confident. He boldly extended a hand towards Dr. King, expecting him to back away from the handshake. --- "It's nothing, guys," Heart-Man said with a shrug. "You guys seriously could've taken them without me." Switching back to his hands, he quietly hooked himself up to one of the Hot Dogs lying in the corner of the room. Being a stronger creature, his code was somewhat more difficult to alter, but Heart-Man found a way all the same. Coda couldn't have possibly approved of such weak guarding...maybe he's off his game? --- Roll hadn't been patrolling for very long, but she was already beginning to have the suspicion that nothing would happen during the night--which is why she was nearly caught off guard by Search-Man's attack. When she heard the faint whistling noise, she turned to see the three missiles spiraling towards her. She knew they were homing, and their movement pattern was too spastic to block, so she only had one option. Roll was slightly nervous as she watched the missiles come towards her, but at the last moment, she sidestepped the attack--the Homing Snipers, thrown off target, curved in too widely an arc, and crashed into the building beside her. Roll was excited at being attacked, but she had to keep a level head--if she got too hyped, she could make foolish mistakes...or worse. Focusing on keeping her steps light, she ran off in the direction of the attack. Hopefully, between the darkness and a little stealth, she could get in a surprise attack. |

"Target is still moving," Search Man Left reported. "Gun the damn thing down already." "I'm working on it, bro, just calm down." Search Man Right began to recalibrate his gun, and fired off more shots torward Roll. --- The Joes and the Picketmen had finished gathering more forces- two Robo Rabbits, a Fan Fiend, and a Crazy Cannon- and began to head down to the next level. In it, they were suprised to find the room empty. "Everything... is just gone. What's this room supposed to be?" a Picketman asked. "It's a hangar for Joe vehicles," the Fan Fiend replied. "Dunno where everyone is..." They soon got their answer. Hundreds of Joes- on foot, in copters, in bikes (specially modified Wave Bikes)- appeared from seemingly nowhere and began to attack. With no where to turn, the robots attacked the bike Joes first, and attempted to use the broken vehicles as barricades. "Heart Man! Get down here now- and bring some big help! We've got a huge problem!" radioed the lead Joe as he fired at nearby enemies. |

"I'm not a warmonger, nor did I intend to be. I know yo don't know me, so you don't expect much. I'm sorry if I offended you in any way. Plus i'm not trying hard at all, I made these plans long ago, maybe before The Ninth Rebellion, I just added to them after the Roboenza incident, and finalaized it here. But you must give me a chance, forgive me if I have done you any wrong by saying this but...I accept your offer." Dr. King then shook his hand. "I know that not everyone is confident, but all we need is hope, and my plan doesn't involve resting hopes on me. Hope will be put on all of us. Even you." Dr, King then left, with a very saddened look on his face.

Tide-Man was left slightly dumbfounded when King agreed to his radical deal. "Well, well...seems he's a bit more confident than I thought. Let's see, here..." Tide-Man placed the briefcase squarely on his desk, and quietly filed through the papers. He was interested in what exactly the plan was--seemed it required building of some super-device, but what? Grabbing the blueprints from the briefcase, he looked them over carefully. --- "Oh, great." Heart-Man briefly considered what kind of help he should bring, but as he rapidly finished typing, he hatched what could be considered a plan. Finding Skull-Man's signal, he frantically radioed him a message: "Guys, activate the Van Pookins I cracked and send them downstairs. We've got a horde of mounted Joes down there, and we need support as swiftly as possible." Rapidly finishing his typing, he activated the Hot Dog and climbed it, finding a comfortable sitting position on its back. Hoping he did calibrate everything correctly, he experimentally gave it a command: "Enemies downstairs...sic 'em!" --- More whistling. Roll was more focused on her run, but she could hear the Homing Snipers coming. She figured these would be harder to throw off, so she tried the option she had dismissed earlier--jumping up, she quickly drew Virus, swinging it downward in a wide arc. The blade caught two of the missiles, destroying them on contact, but Roll guessed that wasn't all of them. Now Roll closed in on her opponent, who she identified as Search-Man. With the missiles behind her probably heading for her again, she'd have to make this first attack quick--holding out Virus to her side, she aimed to dash right by him, cutting into his side as she went. --- Shorde continued slashing and moving forward, clearing a pathway for his friends. Since the Sun had set, it had become rather dark, so he was essentially operating blindly. The only light to guide his strikes were those from the brief explosions that Proto Man's Hyper Bombs gave off. With this in mind, it was no surprise how he fell. The path curved to one side, but Shorde kept moving forward. A slash, a step forward, but this time on nothing. Before he knew what was happening, Shorde slid down a slope and sailed into the chemical water below with a "splash." --- Wire-Man slowly came to, feeling intense pain in his right arm. He looked at it, initially finding nothing wrong, but he eventually remembered the fall he had taken. Looking down at his legs, he saw that they had been broken in places too--no doubt a gift from Aqua-Man's Joes, to keep him from escaping. "My, my, I'm in such a state," he mused to himself. "I imagine I won't be going anywhere fast. Say, where am I...?" Lifting his head once more, he looked around to find himself in one of Wily's prison cells--in which fortress or Outpost, he could not be certain. He had been placed sitting upright on the far wall of the room, nearby the power outlet that was installed in most jail cells. The room was dank and dimly lit, but with all that, he could still see through the bars to spot the figure sitting there on the other side. "Coda. What do you want?" |

Spy was following the railroad all day then he saw it,the Wily base. He used the dark to his advantage. Then before he went into the hangar, cloaked, ran over to a corner, uncloaked and disguised as a SniperJoe, then walked to a crowd of other Joes. ----------------- Dr. King was tired. The Hot Dog barked and wheeled on its heels, then rushed downwards to help the beleagured Light Forces. Four VAN Poonkins also hovered down the stairs, headed by Pharaoh Man, Skull Man, and the Mummiras. In addition, a few more smaller drones from the 7th began to file down the stairs- mainly Baccones, Tripropellans, and a few Trio Wheels. The one that seemed to be leading it all was a single Sniper Joe 01. He walked up to Heart Man, and gave a quick salute. "We're told to report to you for orders. What do you want us to do, sir?" --- The Search Men began to become more alert in their treatment with the enemy- they jumped away from the slice as Roll tried to attack them. "Ah, ah, ah! It's not smart to attempt to jump a sniper straight on, missy." With that, they fired off the rolling mines that they used against Mega Man, with another 2 Homing Snipers for good measure. |

(Proto, they are your documents, so you should tell what exactly is on them.) Roll knew she would find it difficult to slow down, but she was beginning to think of a way to use that to her advantage--she spun on her feet to face her opponent again as friction took hold of her. "And it wasn't so smart to let a swordstress get this close to you, either." When the homing mines came out, Roll was worried she'd be overwhelmed with Search-Man's weaponry, but she remembered that they were neither really homing nor mines--they just skirted about, exploding on impact. She jumped high, letting them whisk by underneath her, but while she was airborne, she was hit in the back by a returning Homing Sniper. Roll didn't get hurt that much by the missile itself, but getting launched forward and hitting the ground was not pleasant. Not one to be deterred, Roll quickly picked herself up. Mentally reminding herself to stay calm and keep a level head, she swiped upward at Search-Man. She had to at least hit him once, or she'd end up like she did against Quint... --- Heart-Man glanced down at the Joe 01 from his mount, but in doing so, he almost missed the bullets sailing towards his head. He ducked, letting them pass over his head. "What do you think?!" he shouted down over the fire, "there are enemies down here, and we need to defend ourselves!" Spurring the Hot Dog onward, Heart-Man carefully got to his feet. What he was about to try was foolish, but it seemed necessary to him. As they charged into battle together, he jumped up and into the cockpit of one of the Apache Joes, readying his Circle Saw for close combat. |

(I guess I can post) "The same thing I always wanted from you, Wire--an obedient child who would be helpful and loyal to me." Dr. Coda spoke with a calm disposition--he already knew every word in this conversation, right down to the words Wire-Man would try to say, but never finish. "That's not going to happen, Coda, for reasons both you and I know. You're immoral and disrespectful and utterly rude." Wire-Man tried his best to hold his composure, despite his grim situation. "Am I really?" Coda rose from his chair, and began to pace back and forth. "While you were with me, did I ever treat any of you or your siblings wrongly? Did I demand anything from you that ever seemed wrong to you?" "That was before I knew what humanity was really like, because you wouldn't tell us." "Oh, Wire...I'm not the bad guy here, really!" Here, Coda entered Wire's jail cell, leaving the door open behind him. Wire would've tried to run, if he still had functioning legs. "Why, once the world is under my control, humans will be made the equals of Robots! We'd be working together like we're supposed to, instead of you doing all the work and getting no credit...tell you what. To prove I'm not inconsiderate, I'll give you a choice--I'll give you full repairs and help you actively seek out your siblings, if you agree to come work for me and my noble cause again." "Not a chance." Coda smirked. "And that's where this choice is not really a choice." With two fingers, Coda jabbed squarely through Wire-Man's forehead--a weak spot in his armor, covering his hard reset button--powering him down rather quickly. Gathering his parts, Coda left the prison with the unconscious Wire-Man. "You're coming straight to my workshop, TNG, and you're not leaving until you're in better condition than when you were first built..." Edited by CHAOS_FANTAZY, Oct 9 2012, 07:52 AM.

The Joe 01 was left slightly dumbfounded by the curt answer, but hatched a plan soon after. "Baccones, form a defensive wall as turrets. Tripropellerns, provide aerial support, and watch out for the Apaches. Trios, attack the ground travelling units; make sure to find cover when you run out of tires. VAN Pookins... well, you're pretty big. Just do what you think is best, I guess." They all moved into the positions they were told. Soon enough, the Joes were being pushed back- until a large rumbling was heard from the place they exited from. As the Joes began to move to the back of the walls, the blast door began to crack open. With a large crash, it fell forward as the Joes charged again- this time, with a giant dinosaur robot seen in the 6th Rebellion. It roared, and began to shoot fire out torward the Baccone barricade. --- Search Man Left began to get impatient. "Give me control of the gun, dunderhead- your aim is off!" "Aw, fine. Here." They switched control of the weapons systems, and now Search Man Left was in control. "Sorry for" "the interruption, miss! Why don't we" "get back to what we started?" They charged the Homing Sniper up, then fired out a flurry of 6 missiles and 3 mines. |

Heart-Man made a clean cut, decapitating the Joe pilot without much effort. After each kill, he made mad jumps for another Apache Copter nearby (Heart-Man knew next to nothing about operating vehicles), and continued in such a way. Joe heads were continually scattered on the ground as he cleared out the air force. He looked up from his work, however, when he heard the large metal stomping of the dinosaur below. He placed his hand on his communicator, about to call upstairs to see if progress had been made on Gojulos, but then he remembered he had called everyone down here to fight. "Damn, a stupid mistake by me...Be careful, everyone!" He jumped down from his position in the idle Apache copter's cockpit, trying to land on the mighty beast's back. --- The sheer number of projectiles seeking her out was beginning to worry Roll, but luckily, Search-Man's charging his weapon, in addition to his argument with himself, had given her enough time to set up her own attack. When she missed with her upward swipe, she gave another jump right over Search-Man's head. Landing behind him, she gave another quick slice, cutting Search-Man across his back. Whispering a "Yes!" to herself, Roll quickly took a few steps back, watching for Homing Snipers as she retreated again. --- Shorde knew about the Mobians' troubled past with water--making the army hesitate more often than Badniks ever did, it was the number one cause for setbacks when encountered. Even after Sonic developed the ability to run across its surface for a short time, it was still deadly...mostly because land creatures can't breathe water. At once, he tried to jump out of the water going back the way he came. He found himself unable to--the ledge was simply too high--but he did catch a better breath for underwater exploration. Thinking there was only one option, Shorde frantically rolled into a ball and Spin-Dashed forward, hoping there would be a place where he could jump up ahead. |
