With a quiet nod, Shorde waited for Proto to start counting. Silently pondering what trial would await him this time, he touched the post at exactly the right time. --- After his sister Fog-Woman, Heart-Man was the fastest Coda Robot, but he wasn't sure if he'd be able to catch up to the fleeing Wily Robot in time. When he made it outside, he saw Express-Man...just standing there. Carefully switching to his Regen Cannon and his Circle Saw, he approached him from behind. "Stopping to rest, or are you just slower than I thought?" "I don't want to hurt you, you know. Doc Wily's a swindler, and I'm sure that whatever reason he gave you for helping him, it's false. Think about it--has he ever done anything for you, anything to show that he cared?" |

"I'm stopping to agree with you," Express Man explained. "I apologize for attacking- I'm just a little high-strung, being locked in a capsule so long. I'm fairly certain that Wily only wanted to use me if he had no other option. Makes sense, as I'm not very strong." "Anyway, allow me to introduce my self. I am DRM. 002, Express Man. It stands for the Dream series. I have two siblings- Multi Man and Barrage Man. They are most likely hidden in warehouses as well. I'm willing to join your forces, but I might need some upgrades to my Solar Cannon weapon- it's rather weak." Express Man then looked around. "Say, where are we anyway? Wily never built a map into my system, nor did he give us much information... Coda didn't either. Was any of that stuff you said true? Besides the attacking part, anyway..." --- Sleet Man finally awoke with a small groan, shaking his head. He checked his internal temperature- definitely chilly, but not quite cold enough. Sleet Man then remembered the frozen bots he and Fog Woman left behind. Frowning slightly, he waited for a minute or so, then dashed out of the medical facility and into the night. He waved to a fellow robot turning in for the night, then slowly scanned the area. Which way was back to the battle? He thought about it for a bit, then headed westward. Heart-Man carefully, quietly paced closer to Express, sheathing his weapons as he listened. He laughed quietly as he finished talking. "That's the funny part--pretty much everything I told you is true. I only lied about the Wily team attack and the side I was on." He finally relaxed for a brief moment, brushing his hair back. "The Dream Series, huh? I must apologize--Coda made us study a few of Wily's previous failures to learn from their mistakes, but we never went for anything that wasn't part of the...main stream, I suppose. They were talking about Barrage-Man a while ago, actually, but we still have no idea where he might be. As for upgrading your technology...that may be possible. Solar-Man was a working Robot before he was a Roboenza infectant, and perhaps some of his technology will prove useful on you. You'll have to talk to one of our mechanics on site, though...and I don't think we have too many. Let's go back to base together--if you go alone, they'll surely think you an enemy." |

"No big deal, I doubted I was part of the mainstream robots anyway," Express Man said with a wave of his hand. "But I am aware of your exploits- wasn't affected by them, at least, but I still know of you. Coda was quite ruthless an attacker on the city, much more so then Wily ever was. It was a small miracle some of us weren't affected. It's still weird to think that you got Roll instead of Mega Man- I'd hate to think of what would happen if you did get him." "When you say 'mainstream', though... what does that mean? Does it only mean the ten major rebellions, or does it include any others, like the King Rebellion and the Killers? Some of the more minor rebellions accomplished quite a bit destruction, such as the Dimensions and the Stardroids." Express Man then rubbed his chin. "You know, I wonder if the Doc brought any unused Robot Masters here... I know he has a bunch stored in his castle. Maybe Coda didn't allow him to send them. Speaking of which, is Coda making anything new?" |

Heart-Man's expression hardened when his own rebellion was mentioned. "Yeah, I think we've all wondered about that before," he responded, cracking his neck. "We might have won, come to think of it...but I'm so glad we didn't win. I'm glad we were able to come to our senses, meet who was truly morally right...and Roll." His pace slowed slightly, and he looked down at the ground. "Roll..." he repeated to himself, a melancholy tone taking over his voice. "I feel horrible just thinking about her. I've done horrible things to her over the past few months...kidnapping her, hacking her, pitting her against her brother, unleashing Virus' demons upon her...I really do want to help her, but every time I try, it only gets worse. I...I want to make her happy...I really do...not just to prove that we aren't mindless destroyers, but...for her..." Choking back his tears, Heart-Man raised his head again. "...Sorry you had to hear that. Anyway...we studied most of Dr. Wily's rebellions, since they were easy to get the most research for. Anyone that did not do significant damage was left out of our research reports. And...well, Coda has made something new. Her name is Malware, she's built like a teenaged girl, purple hair, purple-and-black armor, intimidating in height and presence, uses a sword...and we speculate she wants to kill Roll. Somehow we've managed to defeat and capture her twice, but we haven't been able to get any data on her schematics. She keeps slipping away from us before we get the chance...and I speculate that her losses have made her much, much stronger. She hasn't been seen for a full day now, but thinking about where she might be is truly frightening." Turning to look at Express-Man briefly, he still wore his stone-faced mask. "Any more questions to get you up to speed?" |

Express Man listened quietly as Heart Man explained his dilemma. In his own mind, he could relate. He wasn't respected much along with his brothers- shrugged off for being weak and puny, they, along with plenty other Rebellions, slunk in the alleyways of the city, silently biding their time in abandoned factories and buildings. Although the cause was the opposite, the effects were still similar. Express Man patted his shoulder. "Heh, compared to my and others' situations, you're the lucky ones. At least you're strong... robots like me have nothing," he said dryly. "I think all of my questions are answered, thanks. To be honest, I think it'll take a while walking back... Want to speed it up a bit? You've got a jet, it seems..." Express Man said, eyeing the small spawner on his belt. --- Sleet Man had returned to the fighting area, a look of bitter discontent on his face. The two bots were gone, with shattered ice everywhere. He grunted slightly, then decided to leave with a bit of a casual air- perhaps he could trick a Wily bot into attacking. |

"Well, hey, don't be too hard on yourself now...in this war scenario, borderline-droid Robots are rising to the top. It was the DOS Robots who defeated Malware the second time...and while I am led to believe that she was supposed to lose, I still imagine that defeating her was no small feat." Heart-Man then glanced down at his right arm, noting that Item 2 was in fact still on his weapon rotation. "Oh, yeah..." he said sheepishly, "I keep forgetting I have this thing." Slamming the ground with his fist, he formed the two hoverboards, and carefully stepped onto his. "Just talk to my brother Tide-Man when you get there, he'll get you situated," he said with a smile and a wave as he rocketed down the path. Heart-Man actually enjoyed riding his hoverboard, and he wondered why he didn't do it more often. (I'm going to propose we skip to morning now, as per Proto's request from a while ago?) |

(Ok then.) Morning came with a hard awakening, without a proper lab and bedding he was very uncomfortable, but remained his composure. He let out a sigh, changed into his "work" clothes. A pair of dark jeans with a dark blue collared shirt with a black tie, and a lab coat. He then walked calmly into the base and went into TideMan's office. "Good morning TideMan." Dr. King said. |

Express Man looked at the Item 2 with a tad of discontent. "Hrm..." He gingerly stepped on it, and moved around a bit in circles to get a feel for the craft. "Seems good- maybe this thing will be useful." He then started to move uncertainly forward as the rising sun shone to his side. --- Blade Man knocked on the door to Dive Man's office. Giving a salute, he quickly told of the soldiers they had recieved. "A whole squadron of Apache Joes, sir- and radar tells us we've got more coming. We don't know what or how many, but whatever it is, it's good." Dive Man nodded, a small grin on his face. "Good. Show them to me- I'd like to inspect them personally." Blade Man then walked out and led him to them. --- Sleet Man returned to base, frowning. He couldn't believe they had gotten away in such a damaged state, but Fog Woman probably couldn't carry all three- Sleet Man then shook his head slightly, as in shock. Fog Woman... where was she? More important, how was she? He didn't see her in the infirmary. Or maybe he just didn't look hard enough. With that in mind, he started to walk down to the area. |

Fog-Woman hadn't stuck around long in the infirmary. Confident that her injuries were substantial, she had left without receiving repairs. She had been resting in the unofficial group room for the Coda Robots, but as the morning Sun rose to start the new day, Wire-Man's system woke her. A quick glance around the room told her that Wire-Man himself had not come to sleep...she shrugged it off, assuming he had gone on night patrol with some others. Rubbing her eyes, she slowly got to her feet and walked down to the ground floor. On her way down, she briefly passed by Roll, who was returning from her night patrol with minor injuries. Tired and looking forward to rest, she merely exchanged smiles and waves with Fog-Woman as she passed. Neither one said a word--Roll having nothing of interest to report, and Fog not wanting to start anything. --- Tide-Man watched his clock carefully, watching the seconds pass. On his desk was a briefcase full of Dr. King's reports--he had glazed over much of them, but it looked presentable. He was going to go along with it and show it to his fellow generals in the meeting that would start momentarily. He traced Break's radio signal, and sent a message through him--assuming that where he was, King was wasn't much of a stretch. "Doc King, get yourself down to the meeting room and get ready to present. It's your showtime." Grabbing the briefcase, he sprinted down to the meeting room himself, meeting and greeting the other Generals save for Dive-Man, who was missing. Noticing Bright-Man's forlorn expression, he guessed things hadn't gone as well as he'd rallied them up to be...he stayed quiet about the subject of Kalinka, trying to avoid angering him. |

He was walking down the hall as he saw TideMan go through the door. He followed and said. "Good morning gentlemen, what I am going to present you with this morning will end the battle here on Mobius, and bring Wily to justice." All eyes fell on him as he shut the door. "TideMan my briefcase, please." |

"Yes, sir." Tide-Man rose from his chair, handing Dr. King the briefcase. Pulling him aside briefly, he whispered to him. "Alright, you and I are presenting together...I'm going to do my best to help you answer questions, since no doubt the other generals will see some flaw in this plan. Understood?" Turning back to face the other generals, he offered a small bow, and, taking off his mask for clear speaking, proudly proclaimed: "Ladies and gentlemen, Dr. King." |

"Alright, as you may or may not know, i'm a high ranking general on the UN, specializing in managing a robot army, as well as robot related threats....including Wily." He began as he opened the suitcase. These documents contain every single bit of planning I have made. Phase one of my plane is this: we reactivate the dimensional portal leading to our dimension. Phase two: I shall bring the robot army, consisting of Army Joes, specially designed Sniper Joes for the most dangerous military operations, from the UN's HQ in Monsteropolis. And since I am tasked with dealing with Wily, the UN has sent my unit to retrieve the remains of Wily's Wily Machines, we have mass produced the Wily Tank (from MMPU) after retrieving and studying it, it will serve as our main artillery for this attack. We also reconstructed the Skull Battleship, with my personal upgrades, (MM10) to serve as an areal flagship. Phase 3: This....*holds up big blueprint.* The UN made Dr. Light turn over Gamma's blueprints to them as classified info, no one but those who are involved with Dr. Light, Wily, and the UN know about Gamma. They turned over the blueprints, and whatever they could find of Gamma's remains, over to me, since they found out I was a roboticist after I joined the UN's robot division. They tasked me with rebuilding, and upgrading Gamma' design, so this is the result.....Zeta, built as a last resort weapon of war, which the UN and I both agree is the right time to use him. He is complete, with his own complex AI, even if Wily tried to hack into him, the complex firewalls and defense are nearly incapable of getting through. And with my own robot, Spy's EMP disabling almost a third of Wily's army.....we will win. And if this plan doesn't work, I have a Plan B, it's a little stretch, but we could pull it off, with the help of the dimensional portal and TimeMan." |

The generals sat quietly as Dr. King spoke, narrowing their eyes and rubbing their chins. "Hrm..." Ring Man said after he finished. "... there are a few noticable holes in this plan of yours, Doc. There's no way we can bring in the battleships or tanks, let alone Gamma 2.0- our teleporters are too small, designed for a single Robot to enter. Heck, the biggest thing we prepared for was Hard Man." "Plus," Volt Man interjected, "it'd be difficult to bring in all necessary materials. If you're attempting an entire fleet, we simply don't have enough building materials- or builders- on hand. We also do not have any experienced pilots for vehicles..." "I am intrigued to see the Army Joes, however," Knight Man stated. "They sound rather helpful. But the EMP is a big no- it would most likely wreck havoc on some of the older bots' systems- they might become unrepairable." "Not to mention the fact that any of our forces caught in the blast are toast," Spark Man said. And if you're planning on eradicating a third of his forces... There's just way too much risk." Bright Man then cleared his throat. "You see, Mr. King, what we're fighting is a war of preservation. We wish to conserve Wily's forces because- well, we're fighting against friends. In some cases, even brothers." Bright Man thought back to Skull Man's vicious betrayal of Drill Man. "Thus, we can't simply crush them- we intend to whittle away Wily's forces through capture and repro-" Before he could finish, a camera eye drone used in the Sixth Rebellion buzzed in. "General Bright Man, we've got something from that ice plant some of our robots checked out. It looks like someone snapped." "Hmm? What do you mean?" Bright Man asked, puzzled. When he was shown the pictures the scout team took, he was appalled at the sight. "That's... that's Frost Man's framework..." he uttered, his mouth curling in dismay. His ice block armor had melted, along with some of the metallic limbs, now rusted. It looked as if he was blocking some sort of projectile: his feet, welded to the ground, showed a defensive stance, and his arm rods looked like they were pointing upwards. Bright Man stared grimly at it for a little longer, then dismissed him. "I want copies of that, bring them before this is over," he stated, then recovered as he looked over at Dr. King. "I'd like to see the schematics for the Army Joes, and a look at the EMP device... Other than that, however, I can't really support it." Spark Man then looked over at the Doctor. "Just take this a step at a time- World War II didn't end right with D-Day, after all." The generals then waited for the copies of the scout party's pictures. |

"Oh. One more thing. I have been notified of a certain robot running off, the UN want him classified as a rouge agent, and dangerous, and want a task force created to either capture or eliminate him until this conflict passes, do any of you know who this robot might be?" Dr. King asked. |

With each mistake the Robot generals pointed out, Tide-Man cursed himself internally more and more. How could I not notice these mistakes myself? he thought, and then added more deeply, ...Way to prove to the other Robot generals that you're not a complete idiot. "It was a good thought, but I can state for a fact that not all of us even know how to pilot a Wily Machine in the first place." Wily Machines' designs had always appeared simple, with the vast majority of functions controlled by only two joysticks, but in reality the sheer lack of buttons on them was precisely what made them difficult to control. Tide-Man was convinced the only man who could make it work was the mad man himself. Though he had a feeling the generals' meeting would soon be disbanded because of the picture, Tide-Man quickly retook his seat, no longer wishing to be seen standing beside Dr. King. |

"BrightMan. I believe you wanted a copy of these?" Dr.King said as he handed BrightMan the blueprints for ArmyJoes. Trying to change the subject. And the EMP is not here. It is equipped inside my robot. But I will present you with his blueprints as well. Here. Dr. King handed Spy's blueprints to BrightMan. "Just as a side note. The Army Joes are more variable than normal Joes. They can be outfitted with nearly anything for any task. Including tracking down the horrible monster that oblitherated FrostMan! I'm tired of seeing innocents die. It's too much...I'm sorry I didn't look over my plan well enough. I guess I made a few mistakes. The higher ups didn't really full me in on the situation. But I will try to be of use in anyway I can. I apologize for wasting your time gentlemen. But I hope the Army Joes will be of use. And if you didn't like Plan A you certainly wouldn't like my Plan B....which is risky far beyond even Dr. Light's calculations and mine..you would brand me more insane than Wily...which I wouldn't be surprised by....and again I'm terribly sorry...." Dr.King said as he prepared to leave.

Bright Man carefully studied the blueprints as a small helper robot brought the pictures. As he looked closer at them, he narrowed his eyes. "... I don't think we'll have to look very long for him..." Bright Man muttered. "How many people in our army use fire as a weapon?" Spark Man counted them out by name. "Pharaoh, Flame, Sword, Magma, Torch, and Pyro... that's six." "Not quite. Copy Weapon users can still use them- so that leaves eight with Mega Man and Quint. Now then, think of their battle strategies. Pharaoh uses sun energy, and that isn't enough to melt Frost Man's ice." "Torch is more of a precision based hitter. There's no way he could do so much damage... but the welded feet and melted metal concerns me," Volt Man added quietly. "Flame Man isn't a possibility," Knight Man said. "He has to douse his opponent in oil, and there would be at least some on the ground. There's no visible oil anywhere." "I doubt Sword Man would raise his weapon against his own brother, and judging from the trajectory, Magma can't jump that high... so that leaves three. Pyro, Quint, and Mega. I can't speak for any of them, so as it stands I can't make a decision." He then shot a look at Tide Man. "Does this look like something your brother would attempt?" |

"Ah, there's that glare I've been waiting all meeting for..." Tide-Man muttered out loud. "I won't deny that Pyro-Man could have done it. His agility and fire strength is sufficient. However...I don't think he would. Pyro-Man seems rather mundane, nothing like the killing machine he used to be. On top of that, he hasn't been doing much for the war other than keeping night patrol, and I don't think he could have gone out on a secret mission without any of us noticing. "That leaves Mega and Quint...I'm afraid I wouldn't know." |
