Heart-Man turned to face the obnoxious builder once more. He was really getting annoyed by their "I'm-great-at-everything" attitude. Still...he didn't know what the problem was, maybe she did. It's good for doctors to work together like this, he thought to himself, and he calmly stepped out of the way.

Vestra looked at him, left for a sec, returned with tools, and immediately got to work.

The transmitter on Drill Man's belt had finally ceased. Wearily, he looked up at the city in chaos, only noticing that his street had no flames near it (thankfully). He looked up to the sky in distress. Would anyone come for him?

Anyone?
---
"Face it, Plug Man. There's no need to go on longer. We've taken down your two friends."

"Oh, bite me, Napalm Man."

The tank robot slapped him across his face. "Shut up! You're in no position to do that!"

"I know somebody will come for me!"

"Well, you've thought wrong. Grenade Man, take him back. Me and Search here will finish up." Grenade Man hoisted him on his shoulders, and brought him back to Wily Castle.

Vestra started taking off Dust Man's armor, and working on his systems, her hands moving very fast.

It was then that Heart-Man noticed that the signal from his next patient had suddenly stopped. He needed to get going now, or they would soon be dead and need full repairs back in the other world.
"I've gotta go, guys...make sure Dust-Man's okay, alright?!" was all he said before he dashed out the door.

Heart-Man looked at the horizon, noting all the burning cities around him. He knew the signal had come from one of them...but which one? Without much time to think about it, he made an estimate, and hastily switched to his Item-2 and rocketed off towards the destination. Even the hoverboard was going a little slow for his tastes--he needed to answer the call for "medic" quickly...he only hopes he could get there in time.

Vestra worked fast on Dust Man. First, she fixed the main problem keeping him from activating, then upgraded all of his systems, and altered his buster into a weapon that could switch from buster to fencing-style laser sword. Then, she upped his defenses, then upped his sensors. Finally finished, she put him back together, and activated him.

Three minutes passed, and Dust Man still wasn't coming back on. Plant Man looked worriedly over him. "Perhaps we should send him to Cossack... He still has the building stats." He waited for Vestra's approval. All those extra attachments would drain his battery life rather quickly... he thought to himself.
---
Drill Man knew he was a ticking time bomb. All the oil around him would cause him to set ablaze, and the fire was coming ever so close. He estimated he had only two minutes to get out, or he would become a crispy robot- fast.

Not wasting any time, he dragged himself into the nearest building.

Heart-Man slammed into the ground, stopping his hoverboard outside of the burning city. Without stopping to switch back from Item-2 or even to gather his wits, he ran headlong into the burning city.
He looked for all the traits of a damaged robot--oil leaks, chassis pieces, a broken-off wire if it was severe enough. He had to look frantically--he didn't know how long the robot or he could stay in these conditions. Luckily, his oil was mixed with coolant, so at least he wouldn't spontaneously combust...even though he was a good guy now, Heart-Man still respected Coda for building him so well.
Not seeing any of the aforementioned signs, he started calling out: "Hello?! Is there a damaged robot nearby?! Medic! Medic here!"

Unfortunately for Heart Man, the wrong robot greeted him when he arrived. "Leave! We've already gotten everyone out!" Toad Man appeared, waving his hands frantically at Heart Man. "Yamato and I were just about to leave!"

Yamato Man also appeared, running out of a building with a child in his arms. "Come on!" He motioned to Toad Man, who waved Heart Man away.
---
Drill Man didn't know at the time, but help was just two miles to the north. He waited, staring disdainfully at the wall in front of him. He knew he had lost way too much oil; he should shut down. But he would only do so when help arrived.

"Come on..." he prayed, hoping someone- anyone- would pull him out of this flaming mess.

"Get out of my way! I received a distress call here; no robot left behind! We can't afford any more major losses!" Swatting Toad-Man out of the way with one arm, he ran past him, continuing his shout. "Medic! Medic here!"
Heart-Man knew he probably didn't have much time to find the broken robot. If Toad-Man helped with his rain, they might be able to keep the flames at bay for a few more minutes, but he probably wasn't going to--which means he could be in some serious danger at any second.

Toad Man yelled after Heart Man, "There are two robots assigned to a city! Me and Yamato were stationed here! There were no more! Wait!"

Heart-Man screeched to a halt. He guessed he'd have to listen to Toad-Man--after all, he'd been here longer. He turned on a heel and ran straight back towards them.
"I received a distress call from around this location, and they could be dying right now! You tell me where to look instead!"

Toad Man just stood there, looking completely helpless. "I... I don't know... There are 3 cities that are rather close to this one..." He looked rather confused.

"Try the city south of this one!" Yamato Man shouted.

(I think I sense a battle against Skull-Man in the near future.)

"Thank you! In the meantime, you had better get out of here..." Heart-Man quickly faced due South, spawned another Item-2, and hopped on. He had to be quick about this, he had no idea how little time he had left. As he neared the next city, he brought up his shout again: "Hello! Medic here!"

Drill Man noticied on his mini radar that help had finally come. He had lost the ability to speak, however, so he tried eaving his arm out the doorway.

Heart-Man jumped off of his Item 2, tearing down the streets quickly. Once again, he looked for the signs of an injured robot--and sure enough, he eventually found a pool of oil. It was clear whoever was injured had lost too much of it for just a field repair--he'd have to take them elsewhere, where he could replenish their oil.
He also noticed a small trail of oil, leading into one of the buildings. Protruding form the door, he saw a drill-arm--he could only hope it belonged to someone.

Heart-Man ran towards the arm, hoping it was the injured robot...

Finally, Drill Man succumbed to his oil losage. Just as his eyes were shutting down, he heard some muffled shouts and a blurred image of a white robot.

Come to think of it, maybe that's why Dust-Man wasn't functioning--he'd lost a lot of oil, too. Heart-Man would have to take a look at that when he got back.
"Looks like I got here just in time. At least he managed to keep himself in one piece..."

Grabbing Drill-Man's broken body by the torso, Heart-Man slung his unconscious body over his shoulder. He'd operate on them once he got back to that engineer's place.
Heart-Man faced the direction of their lab (according to his map), and spawned another Item 2. He'd have to get out of the city, though, before he'd be truly safe.
