"You just contradicted yourself," Heat Man said. "Why would we want to find good guys if we don't want to be on the good side? Jeez, Bubble Man, and I thought Wood Man was slow... No offense." "Well, it is true. I agree with him- we can't go to Light Labs. I suggest going to one of the least conspicous vacant buildings. What about that run-down factory down on Met Avenue? It's very unassuming," he said. |

"We may not want to be good guys, but we've got no choice," Bubble-Man said with a sigh, "If we continue to have both the good guys and the bad guys against us, we'll be dead much faster." "I never thought I'd say this to you, of all people, but you haven't been watching enough TV and movies. Run-down factories are the most generic hideout ever. Villains always try to take them over so they can use the machinery there to manufacture things. I'd sooner waltz into the nearest police station than hide out there and make myself look even more unappealing to the good guys." |

"Oh, fine. It was only an idea..." Wood Man said, a tad hurt. "Yeah, well, there's no reason to go ask for the blue idiot's help! We're trying to prove we can defeat 'em by ourselves, not by clinging on to that... that... murderer!" Heat Man shouted. "I agree with Wood Man's idea. Mega Man doesn't even scout around there, and neither does the police. No one's gonna see us there. And, if there is the slightest chance of trouble, we can easily just make some escape tunnels that go out of town." "What if Mega Man added the area to his patrol route?" Crash Man inquired. "I just told you, escape tunnels." "That'll just make us seem like cowards!" "Well fine, we explain what we're doing there! And if he asks for help, tell him no. We don't at all." With that, Heat Man began to tromp down to the location Wood Man pointed out. Crash Man, Wood Man, and Metal Man went with him, while Flash Man, Air Man, and Enker stayed behind. "Foolish of them. Your explanation was correct, but they're too hardheaded... especially Heat Man," Flash Man remarked curtly. |

Bubble-Man was silent for a second, staring at the ground. Then he straightened up, and spoke up: "Good riddance. Never liked Heat-Man much anyway." "Sorry we had to split up, guys, but I guess there was no avoiding that. Since they're going to be occupying the factory...hey, how about we vote on something for once?" Bubble-Man turned to face the group still with him. "Who says we go to Dr. Light's Lab?" |

"Well, for one, I think we're effectively screwed if we split up," Enker said. "There are 5 of us, and 8 of them. We've already lowered our chances for success by losing half of our forces. Even though we are the majority, we're going to have problems if we're missing those four- considering all of them are some of the more powerful of the group... no offense, guys." Air Man nodded. "Probably the best bet is to go to Light's first, and explain the situation to Mega Man. Then we go down to the factory. See, if we tell Mega Man where we'll be heading, he could tell the police, which gets us out of trouble with them." "That won't work, you fool. Mega Man, upon hearing there are new Robot Masters, will charge out like a madman and defeat them all before we lay one shot unto their over-confident hides. As much as I dislike the idea, I'll have to agree with Heat Man... No one will suspect the place, and we'll be able to get out of the city right away to destroy the new Robot Masters, since it's on the outskirts of town. That idiot somehow managed to pick a strategic location suitable for our endeavor. Even though it's painfully generic, it will work." "Flash Man has a good point, Bubble Man," Air Man pointed out. "It is right next to the outside of the city, which is a good location to go find those robots and get some revenge." |

"Hmph. I'll never understand why everyone thinks Metal-Man is so amazing--he's as fragile as a glass rose." Bubble-Man put a hand to his head, and shook it back and forth. "I expect the Robots to come hunting us, you guys--when Wily finds us gone, he'll proceed with his world domination plan, which will, no doubt, involve attacking Mega Man. If anything, I'd say we need a location closer to the lab. "So if we want to have any shot at defeating them as it is, we need to befriend Mega Man. We don't have to, but if it comes to telling him about the new Robots to earn his trust, so be it. I don't care about you guys, but I am not going to sit here and become mince meat from being crushed between the two greater forces." With that, Bubble-Man turned and waddled towards the center of town. |

"If you don't remember, Bubble Man, Wily will put on a one-minute attack onto Monsteropolis, then put the Robot Masters into their territories. All we have to do is wait out the attack, then go to the stages and take them down," Air Man said. "Heat Man's plan most likely has the best chance of working... especially if Flash Man approves. Think about it- he almost never agrees with anyone else," he continued. |

(We're arguing about what to do. Heat, Crash, Wood, and Metal went off to an abandoned factory to make a base. Bubble wants to go talk to Mega Man, but Enker seems to have issues with that.) Bubble-Man walked on, not paying attention to see if the people arguing with him were following him. "If we're just waiting for the attack, then we should find someplace more civil to go than an abandoned factory...besides, if we're going to rampage through their stages, we'll need Light's teleporters to get there. "And are you blind? Flash-Man's here with us!" |

"What? It is true," Air Man said. "Well, yes, I can't excatly argue..." Flash Man remarked. "But let's try out Bubble Man's idea first." Enker started to walk off torward the factory. "I'll go get the others and see if we can find a better place to go." Eventually, the group reached Dr. Light's lab. Everyone looked at each other, until Flash Man rolled his eyes and knocked on the door. Mega Man, not wearing his armor, appeared. "Hello! How can I- ack! You guys?!" He quickly changed into his normal battle armor, and pointed the buster torward them. "You've got a lot of nerve coming around here, but tell Wily that Light's off the menu!" "Oh, stop with the heoric garble," Flash Man said coldly, his arms crossed. "We're not with that fool of a man any more. Instead, we require help from you and your doctor." "You want help? Why should I believe you?" "Do you think we would go to you, of all people," Flash Man started with a hint of spite, "and tell a clear-as-glass lie because we've been replaced by Wily's newest tassle of overconfident failures, much like us?" Mega Man stared at him, then put his buster down cautiously. "...No, I doubt you would. Come on in." He motioned for them to sit down. "The thing I'm confused over, though, is how you're saying Wily is evil. He was here just yesterday, working with Light on a peace-keeping robot. I think he's finally changed." Flash Man rolled his eyes. "You actually believe that he's working for the good side now? What a bunch of s-" "-uper true predictions!" Air Man butted in. Flash Man glared at him with a confused look, then nodded. "Yes... super-true predictions." Mega Man grinned. "Well, great. Sorry he kicked you out, though. I'll ask Roll to get some oil for you guys." He walked out a doorway. When he left, Flash Man groaned. "Air Man, you imbecile..." he said. |

Bubble-Man calmly took a seat, a smug smile under his mask. "See, I told you he'd be willing to listen!" "It surprises me none, but it seems those Doc Robots weren't the only thing he was hiding from us...why's he helping Dr. Light build this Robot? And more importantly, what's wrong with Mega over there; why would he need another peacekeeping Robot?" |

"I severly doubt that Wily wants that thing to be a 'peace-keeping' robot..." Flash Man muttered. "Whatever it is, you just know he'll use it for-" He was cut off when a girl robot walked into the room. "Hi, guys! Mega Man told me to get this for you." It was Roll, with four oil cans in her arms. She laid one out for each of the robots. "Just call if you need anything else." She then walked away. "Hilarious how we're being served oil from our greatest enemy's sister, hmm?" Air Man mused, drinking his oil. "Guess this stuff is what keeps Mega Man going- man, it's good." Just then, Enker burst through the door. He had chipped armor and a gash in his left side. "Those four are nowhere! They're all gone! The city is being attacked right now!" Flash Man and Air Man stood up and dashed out the door. Explosions were rising up everywhere from the cityscape. "Damn... They're really making a statement..." "Those buffoons must have used those escape tunnels they were rambling over," Flash Man said. "Either that, or Wily's new soldiers caught them." "Don't believe that for a second!" Heat Man was heat-tackling his way over to the group. It looked like Crash Man was with him inside of it. They stopped just before the group. "Wood Man and Metal Man are right down there," Heat Man said. They were being chased by four robots of the same model. "Looks like they're being chased by that Gemini fellow's clones," Air Man said, dashing down there a few seconds later. Flash Man and Enker followed, and soon the robots were defeated. MEANWHILE... --- Gemini Man took a glance at his wrist. His cloning device was at full power again- which meant the clones failed to catch the four rebels. "Drat. Those old models are more resourceful than I orginally thought..." "Hey, Snake Man!" he called out. "The robots got away! What do we do now?" |

Snake-Man slithered up to beside his partner, Gemini, and quickly stood up. "I believe," he said in his typical sinister tone, "that our direct ordersss were to capture thossse foolish essscapeesss. They're all bunched up now, ssso it will be difficult--what do you think we should do?" |

Gemini Man squirmed and stepped away. "I... uh... I don't know..." he stammered. "S-s-say they were squashed in the attack here? Wily will never find out, anyway, and if they do rear their heads, we can just s-s-s-sqaush them..." He then turned and jogged off, hoping to cause more destruction. Magnet Man then walked over. "Snake! Time's up. We're heading to the stages now. Good luck with Mega Man, all right?" He teleported away. |

"Gosh, he sssounded sssort of like me jussst now," Snake-Man thought out loud. "Am I really that ssscary, even to my alliesss...?" He was built to be intimidating, but perhaps it was working a little too well. Snake-Man's thoughts were interrupted by the call back to his stage. He never did like the stage system; it was a sign of cowardice to hide in your own little fortress instead of going and attacking Mega Man directly. He would much rather do that, but he didn't want to be like that foolish Second Rebellion and lose his job, so he obliged. Moments later, Snake-Man was waiting at the top of Snake Tower--a twisted facility made entirely of metal snakes and deadly drops. --- Bubble-Man quietly looked out from Dr. Light's Lab. It seemed the attack had ceased--now all they had to do was wait for the teleporters to pinpoint their location, and they could finally get started. He doubted it would be easy, but he had to prove himself better than those obnoxious Robots. So, with nothing else to do, Bubble-Man quietly sat there, staring blankly at the oil can Roll had brought him. |

Mega Man burst through another doorway and into the lab. "How are they already finished?! I can't believe they already made another attack!" Dr. Light sighed. "I'm not sure. You better get down there and assess the damage, while I start up the teleporters." "Gotcha." He dashed out the doorway, while the eight Robot Masters were standing around. |

Bubble-Man stood up. It was time to make his move and see if he could get the revenge he desired. He quietly approached Dr. Light in the other room. Hard at work, Dr. Light slightly resembled a sage. Old-looking, yet seemingly eternal, the light from the computer screen illuminated his features. Hard at work with a lot to maintain, yet seemingly completely at peace by his facial expression...perhaps Dr. Light was some sort of sage. "Um, Dr. Light..." Bubble-Man began, not really knowing what the man's opinion on him was. "My brothers and I, we didn't leave Wily for no reason...these new Robots, he was building them to replace us, and he was going to put us away unless he needed us again...would would most likely be never. Anyway, Dr. Light, what I'm trying to ask is...we ran away from Wily because we want to prove that we're better than the new Robots. Would you let us lend a hand in repelling their invasion?" |

Dr. Light looked at Bubble Man. "Interesting proposition you have there... Perhaps I could help. However, you really should leave the work to Mega Man. After all, he has much more experience in this field." "Yeah, but those guys stole are jobs, our home... heck, they stole our life!" That was Heat Man at the doorway, slowly walking up to Bubble Man. "We need to get even, Dr. Light. You just don't know how much we want this!" Drr. Light put his hand to his chin and closed his eyes, thinking for a while. "Well... All right. If it means that much to you. I'll start up the teleporters now, and you may get going." He punched in a few letters and numbers onto the keyboard, and some teleporters in another room illuminated. "Get your friends, and good luck out there." |

"Oh, thank you, Dr. Light...you won't regret this, honest! Even if we don't make it, you'll still have Mega Man to pick up where we left off...oh, I'm at a loss for words. You are most kind for respecting what we would like to do. Hey, guys, get in here! Dr. Light's going to let us do it!" With that, Bubble-Man walked into the teleporter room, trying to decide which Robot Master he'd want to take down. Snake, Magnet, Needle, Gemini, Shadow, Hard, Spark, and Top...which one was most likely to have water in it? "Hey, guys, I know none of the Robots are water-themed...but which stage do you think would have water in it?" |

"I heard a rumor that Gemini Man needs water in order for a few of his fish-subs to do reconnisance. Try going there," Wood Man suggested. "I got Snake Man. He's got a giant, airborne tower, and I can't wait to beat him," Air Man said. "I got dibs on Hard Man! My bombs are the only thing that can burst through his fat hide!" Crash Man called. "Guess I'll try Top Man," Flash Man said. He's just like Quick Man- a speed demon, he thought quietly. "I'll take Spark," Wood Man said. "Guess he'll be easy." "Magnet Man is mine!" Heat Man said. "I'll show him up!" "That fat loser Needle will fall by my Metal Blades. I'll take him!" Metal Man said. Enker just leaned against the doorway, and looked at them. As much as he didn't want to help, he probably should- inadvertantly, anyway. The robots were all joking around, and saying they'll bring no prisoners. They walked in the teleporters, then the room fell silent. |
