The Parliament/Prime Minister elections occur every four years in Estería. The current Prime Minister has served one term, and can serve unlimited terms. Although elected by parliament, the parties make it clear who they would elected if they won the majority.

OOC: I'm going to put up a poll so that people in the region can vote, and help influence where my nation goes. The percentages will be the make up of the Parliament. If there is no majority, I will create a logical Coalition.

Candidates

Pedro Varus
Party: Conservative
Platform: Varus has mostly concerned himself with Defense during his term, expanding the military budget to over 30% and generally avoiding other social and economic issues, he is fairly moderate and has appointed several very liberal ambassadors to the WA and other nations. His main selling point is that he will keep things they way they are.

Sofia Medoletta
Party: Socialist
Platform: The left wing is divided into two parts, those focused on social issues and those focused on economic issues, the Socialist party is the latter. The socialist party wants to drastically shift the budget towards things like healthcare, welfare, education, and social justice to work on liberalizing society and helping those in need, while shrinking the defense budget and closing tax loop holes. A relatively new party, the socialists only hold a handful of seats in parliament currently.

Henry Warwick
Party: Social Democrat Party
Platform: The social democrat party is a more moderate version of the socialist party that focuses on Social issues. Not as concerned with the budget, the SDP wants to remove blue laws and pass constitutional changes in favor of equality, religious freedom, and similar issues.

Victor Emiliano
Party: Democratic Centrist Party
Platform: DCP sells its self as an alternative to the "far left and right" parties and wants to work to create a balance between left and right on social economic and budgetary issues. Many critics state that the party is actually center-right as the party has supported many corporate interests in the past and is merely centrist on social issues(or simply doesn't care about social issues). Although the party doesn't have an official position, it is suspect that it would be willing to form a coalition with the conservative party if that were needed.

Henry Warwick has been elected to prime minister after successful negotiations with the socialist party to form a coalition. They have agreed to work on common ground legislation, and Henry said he would appoint a few socialist ministers.

His minister appoints include, General Gregory Napoletti
and Anthony Romani among others, who are considerably more liberal than the previous administration. It is suspected that this is going to be a busy few years, as the more liberal factions say that the conservatives did a lot of damage.
