I thought of something. We already included our nations on the map... But could we, as part of the RP Economy 'buy' land from the region and nations like the Louisiana Purchase??? If yes, it could start a new RP and a new factor in the Economy. Anyway, it could also have other benefits too. I'd like if I got some consideration for this idea and some answers. Thanks! EDIT: I forgot to include this: Colonies too. Not RP Puppets, but colonies. |

this would allow US to focus on the Empirialistic points of each nation and such I would like to ask if we could make our Economies a bigger factor in Our Rping |

Oh, joy. We had this problem in the XKI as well. I also handle the RP map in the 10000 Islands and a while back we had a similar problem. This should not be allowed. A colony is something of the past; it is generally looked down upon in the modern world. Modern nations don't establish colonies - they don't need to. Colonies cost money and troops. It is better to have a trade deal with other independent countries rather than to have a colony. That way, you avoid political and economic pressure that comes with getting and maintaining a colony. Not to mention, it is a waste of space on the map. If all the good places are occupied on the map, new players coming to Modena would get discouraged. That's why I strongly oppose this. |

Its hard to manage multiple nations. Also what Pelhafor said. Imperialism is a thing of the past, while it is still technically possibly to maintain colonies, there would be severe consequences both internationally and in internal domestic politics. Though I imagine the selling of geo-politically important islands or small military bases will still go on, and be important in future RPs, I doubt these land transfers will be large enough to really show up on the map. |
