Hi, When you buy games for personal consumption (not with the purpose of flipping a Kickstarter, for instance), do you consider their resell value? When I purchase a game, I consider it a sunk cost and don't intend on recovering any money from it. With the fee(s) for selling them, the time it takes to post the listing and handle the photos, and the time to ship it, I don't find it to be at all worthwhile (I've only sold two used games). I've read threads where people talk about taking extra care of their games (sleeving, not tossing inserts or expansion boxes, etc.) for the express purpose of possibly reselling them later. If there is a game I no longer want, I'd rather trade it with a friend, give it to them, or simply donate it and skip the hassle of trying to resell it.What are your thoughts? Please help. I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. References: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1941409/poll-do-you-consider-resell-value-when-buying-game Digital Advertising Video Thanks |
