I personally like this movie the best out of all of them. This one looked so much more real than the other ones did. Not only did KK himself look real, but so did the prehistoric Skull Island and it's prehistoric inhabitance as well. (Not the people but the dinosaurs.)

The special effects in this movie were done really well and made you believe that KK and the others were real. KK's expressions and all did seem really real.

King Kong(2005) has some of the most marvelous CGI effects I've ever seen. I admittedly thought Jack Black was miscast in the role of "Carl Denham" but he ably portrayed the character in this film. The Kong vs V-Rex combat scenes were awesome. Kong's exploitation and death always make me very sad when I watch this film.

How do you compare Peter Jackson's KK film, overall, to the 1933 original? Have you seen the original KK film?

So sorry for the extremely late response. :(

Yes, I have seen the original film. Well, I can't really compare this version to that one.

Although, that one was really not good at all. With that version, King Kong looked really bad. He really didn't look like a(n) ape or gorilla. I know he was suppose to look like one of those two, but he really didn't. Kong didn't even sound real.

In the one made in '05, King Kong at least looked like a(n) gorilla. In this one he atleast looked real. He sounded real and looked real.

In conclusion to this comparrison, I'm sideing with Peter JAckson's King Kong to the '33 one. '05 was just better.

The special effects, particularly the CGI effects in the 2005 "King Kong" film are among the best I've ever seen. The ending is very sad, as I knew it would be.

The combat sequences with King Kong Vs the V-Rex's are awesome!
