I love this movie.

Made in 1992, Godzilla has two foes to face. One, is a long time enemy/ally, Mothra. The other, is a new kaiju that is Mothra's dark twin that goes by the name of Battra. I do love Battra and Mothra for those of you who really know me.

However, there are somethings I would have done differently.

1.) Would have had the fights scens a little bit better along with a little bit longer.

2.) I would have tried to hid Mothra's wires in the last fight scene a little better. It kinda took out the enjoyment of the movie.

3.) I would have gave Battra and Mothra a little more time together before having Godzilla come blasting out of the rubble in the city.

4.) The charecters were good, but I would have left the little girl out and rearrenged it to have not included her.

If I think of any others, I'll post them.

I like this film fine but it's not my favorite Heisei G movie. The score, including the "Mothra's Song" track, was very nice to listen to.

I liked the fact that in the end the thief opted to give up his stealing ways in order to be with his wife and daughter.

I did a review for this movie a bit back.Godzilla and Mothra:The battle for Earth.

Rating: 7/10
________________________________
The more I watch this movie, the more it grows on me,I first saw this movie at I think,7 years and hated it because Godzilla lost and I thought Godzilla was always the hero. But upon my most recent viewing of the movie,I noticed so many things I didn't before, back when I first saw this movie I just thought giant
monster movies were just dumb fun, back to the subject of things I noticed such as the plot that is
completly understandable and beautiful in itself.

Okay now for the plot: In the year 1993 man has polluted Earth so much that even people in the
government
have began searching for ways to stop it. At this same time a meteorite has slamed into Earth, unearthing Mothra's egg,and simontainiously awakeing both Godzilla and Battra. A month later after robbing and
destroying ancient ruins(second accedental mind you)Takuya Fujita(Tetsuya Bessho) finds himself after
being stuck in jail and offered to explore infant island on an expedition with both his former wife and a
man from a multimillion dollar corporation, Marutomo, I believe, Kenji Andoh.
After a campout where Takuya Fujita and his devorced wife talk about their child, they find Mothra's egg
after passing through a shrine of some sorts and meet two tiny women, the Cosmos who tell them the
story of how their used to be a great society on Earth, finally creat a machine to control the Earth's climate causing the Earth to become angry creating Battra to destroy evreything while at the same time the Earth
floods, but soon Mothra has to deafeat him and after so flee to the mountains, come to trust them and
allow them to take Mothra's egg back to Japan with them.

After so in the trip back to Japan, Godzilla attacks the ship as Mothra coveniently hatches from her egg as
Battra comes back from attacking Japan only to find his ancient enemy and a new monster, Battra attacks Godzilla and the two seemingly die as, at the same time Kenji Andoh kidnaps the Cosmos and takes them
back to Tokyo sending Mothra on a rampage to get them back, after certain events transpire 'cause I don't
want to ruin the movie' Mothra and Battra take on Godzilla then after the battle ends and Battra dies
Mothra flys into space to destroy a meteor intended to hit the Earth in 1999.

All in all a good plot, now to get to the juicy bits.Unfortunantly this film does have some flaws, such as Miki Seagusa, supposed to be a major character barely comes isto the story, and people unaqquainted to the
Heisei series her using psychic abilities to track the Cosmos confusing, some parts seem rushed including
the scene around the fire where they are discussing their child could have lasted a bit longer,Mothra and
Battra's flying forms seem a bit stiff and at some points uneven special effects.Oh,but it gets good, some
parts of the movie are awesome such as Akira Ifikube's musical score,a nice Godzilla costume consistancy(because in the middle of the movie the '91 Godzilla suit got destroyed so they had to make a new costume),some memorable characters and scenes such as the whole Indiana Jones opening and such, and sometimes phenomanel special effects such as the amazing flood effects and the Battra transformation,
some aspects of the movie are the saving grace.

All in all,not the best Godzilla movie but still one that could make it into someone's top ten.
