I have been waiting for this game all year. I cannot wait to see the Hurleys. Duke was/is my all time worst team, I hate em'. This is the biggest game of the year! I hope to God we win at least tonight. Then if we could sweep, we would be well in line to finish in at least third for the year. We need this one more than any other this year. I hope there is a big loud crowd and the most exciting atmosphere yet. On another note fellow fans---- I will be gone from Mount Land in about 3 weeks. I am leaving and moving to nice and warm Valdosta, GA. I will miss you all and Mount basketball!!!! |

Well, a satisfying and good win for a team playing well together last night. By my calculations (though not announced officially by anyone) the Mount has already made the NEC tournament (Bryant not eligible, Monmouth and FDU cannot have fewer losses than the Mount and MSM beats Sacred Heart by the first NEC tiebreaker - head to head, [we beat them twice]. |

I was at the game last night, standing and yelling at the refs - there was the most difficult type of foul calling against the Mount for most of the game, balanced by ridiculously high percentage Mount shooting. I am so happy to see Jean in there; I think his play comes at the perfect time as the team is maturing and complements the other players well. Mount by 30 if not for the ref's. Hurleys about as bitchy a group as I have seen. I like them less than Patsos at his worst. Saturday night I figure we can't expect to shoot as well, but if we defend with energy we will be OK because we will not likely get as bad a bunch of calls. Should balance out. |
