Despite the unfortunate situation regarding our servers not being fully up and running; we have been taking this time to further development on our Linux|Ubuntu 11.10 OpenGrid client, as well as working on a more stable support function for all individual clients. So far we have managed to integrate mesh support to our Linux client as well as fixing the 'Ultra Graphics' options, where both the sky and water appear normal and un-glitched when using Wind Light settings. Below is a full list of changes we have made. Server Changes Additional Support & JIRA Pages (Release: TBA) Expanded Inventory Database - Meaning more items can be stored in your inventory. Havok4 engine added to Physical Objects. Linux Client Changes Features Added Fully-working Mesh Support Updated version of Wind Light Additional Support Functions Additional Skins (Client Styles) Skins Added "Ambiance" - Skin based off of the default theme for Linux|Ubuntu 11.10. "Radiance" - Another skin based on Ubuntu 11.10’s secondary theme. Bugs Fixed We have patched the hole that allows normal (non-admin) users on OpenGrid to access the Sisyn Networks database, in order to change their account status or top themselves up with free Sisyn Credits, which do not credit other users upon the purchase of items. Not only that, but we have also fixed the ‘Ruth’ issue with avatars that enter the ITOKÍ Design region as the cause was due to the amount of mesh objects in the area, causing Linux users to stop rendering completely, having to re-log to another region to fix the issue. Hopefully by the end of the week we’ll have even more things fixed. More to come! |
