History
"You're only as weak as you think you are..."
-The Creator
Veradux, though having no name at his tim of birth, was created in around 2 million B.C., where he lived in the times of the Old Stone Age. Notice he was "created", not born, as he was created by God himself to be the Herald of magical laws. Though he knew nothing of his life at his initial drop unto Earth, he did himself remember the abilities he was granted with. He is not a god, nor demi-god whatsoever, but was intended to be the first mortal to hold the power of Magicks. He spread these ideas around, and enforced the magickal laws with an iron fist. All treated him with respect, as a gift to the Earth. However, one tragic day, Veradux was assassinated by angered citizens, who put together a Cult defying the Laws of Magick. This sparked the worlds first Great Purge of Magick, wiping magick of the face of the Earth. However, god saw it not as the end for Veradux, but a spark of a new beginning, and so reincarnated him years later...
The Creator, Veradux, was born and raised in the small Greek city of Byzantium, after his reincarnation, losing his past memory. As a child, he was ridiculed by comrades as weak, frale, and overall a quite terrible fighter. Fighting and winning was everything in the Greek society. This led to issues for him as he grew older, as he tried and tried to succeed, but never quite did. It was then he discovered... the Labyrinth. He would never forget the Labyrinth... it led him on a twisted journey through hallways and other traps, as he coursed his way through. He reached the middle soon, however, due to natural instinct, and there, layed a book on a mantlepiece. As he lift it up, he blew off the dust from the fragile, centuries old book. As he opened it, a sudden beam of light shot forth to him, and hit him in the chest. He wa raised by the strange beam, and suddenly, after a sudden screech, he fell asleep..
As he awakened, he realized he was home, oddly, in his bed. He had risen from the bedspread, and walked out of his house.
Byzantium had changed...?
He saw people in clothes and armour he had never seen, and oddly enough, strange architecture not yet known to his original people. Suddenly, the Roman Emperor Constantine had walked by, with a nod, and simply walked forth. As he tried to say something to Constantine, he was being pulled back by an odd force, and suddenly, was thrust back into the labyrinth, by another beam of light. He was baffled, dumbfounded, by found, he had gained odd powers...
This turned out to be the first human who had ever layed his or her hands on a magickal Tome. Veradux had recieved the Powers of the Gods, which is who the Tome and Labyrinth had belonged to. As he eturned home, Byzantium was normal again, back to the way it originally was. He was not suprisingly, confused out of his mind. He decided to brush it off as a dream, and waited as the Battle of Marathon approached. Veradux had fought in it, and was redeemed as a War Hero, for his use of God-like powers in combat at the battle. He gained a cult following, a flock of adorning women, and lived in the lap of luxury at the Royal Palace, having the world at his fingertips. This was to change soon, however.
He noticed his body becomnig frale, and weaker then before. It seemed to him these powers had their cost, and before long, he was about 103 years old in age.
Before passing however, he uttered a small spell, and died. As he passed, his spirit exited the old, dead corpse, and re-manifested itself as a Spiritual Spectre, a marvel of humanoid beings. Along with returning his memories before reincarnation, this virtually granted Veradux Immortality, the ability to live on forever. Though it wasn't at a price, as he was now forced to roam the lands in search of a new home. Then he found Rome. He discovered other people were using Magicks in ways not intended, for power and control. He was not amused, and soon adorned the name The Creator, and founded The Circle of Five, a group of Magistartes seeking to end the lust for Magickal power. Among the people were Julius Caesar, Marc antony, the Wizard Merlin, Jin of the Huns, and lastly Himself. It was a long lived, historic group, with roots in the rise of Rome, helping it take over a land or two. Though his comrades soon faded, with Caesar assassinated, the Huns destroyed, Marc Antony committing suicide, and Merlin suddenly vanishing.
Now, in the present day, Veradux roams the lands, holding the title of Supreme Warlock, keeping the Order alive, and finding new people, to watch over...
"And so he is weakened, yet fullfilled... Angry, yet satisifed..."
