We have seen the rise and the decadency of this organization, in the Spanish Civil War while the patriotic Spanish people fought for their freedom from the tyrants subsided by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics it sat with arms crossed, while our men fought till death this "League" wrote nice-looking papers and refused to aid us.

The League of Nations was a grand idea, but nothing more than that, a theoretically sound organization of states but practically void of power, when it was truly needed in Spain it did nothing.

For that, we hereby rescind our membership in the League of Nations.

The League of Nations is sorry to see this happen. We recognize that we did not send aid Spain was looking for. But, the League's purpose is to combat global issues. A civil war occuring in a single nation would not count as global.

Would Spain consider not resigning?

As long as Spain belongs to the planet Earth, I believe any events happening in our country count as global. But do not take this as an offense for we are grateful that you have recognized the "Spanish State", what we are disillusioned is that the League "knows no bounds" when it comes to attacking the Kingdom of Italy but it remains silent as a frightened mouse in face of the Communist Juggernaut which is mauling Finland as we speak.

The above is only a fraction of what we consider to be the decay of this organization, it is not a fault of any member, certainly not from the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland but rather from its ideology and private interests.

We have of course noted the actions by the Russians against Finland. The United Kingdom has itself discussed possible solutions, but with the sudden direct call from Albania against Italy, that took our priority. The fact that one sovereign nation attacked another made it global.
We are deeply sorry, us here at Britain, that the LON did not meet your expectations and you feel let down. We are a fledgling entity in a world ancient with strife.
Have a safe journey then Spain, wherever it takes you.
